Ozzy's Apizza - Review - North Hollywood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"LA has become home to all sorts of pizza styles: Detroit, Roman, Tokyo-inspired Neapolitan, to name a few. We’ve never had New Haven representation though, until now. Ozzy’s Apizza (pronounced “abeetz”) began as a pop-up and now operates out of a counter-service space in North Hollywood. Here, it’s all about the crust—thin, crackly, and charred until it appears almost burnt (it’s not). There’s a unique smokiness to every crunchy bite that blends with savory toppings like bacon and little neck clams. If it’s your first time, get the Liotta, a cheeseless pie for New Haven purists with nothing but red sauce, olive oil, and parmesan. Our current favorite is the Mikey Rabbit, a white pie with sweet, garlicky ricotta sauce, housemade sausage, spinach, and a generous dusting of pecorino." - Brant Cox

Google
Ozzie’s Apizza delivered an outstanding experience with their delicious and crispy pepperoni pizza. The crust had the perfect balance of crunch and chew, showcasing the care they put into their dough. Each bite was packed with flavor, thanks to the generous layering of savory pepperoni and gooey, well-melted cheese. What really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients. The sauce had a rich, tangy depth without overpowering the rest of the pizza, and the pepperoni was crisped just right around the edges. The pizza arrived hot and perfectly cooked, with no soggy spots or burnt crusts—just consistent, high-quality craftsmanship. The atmosphere of Ozzie’s Apizza added to the overall experience. Friendly service, a cozy setting, and quick turnaround made for an easy, enjoyable outing. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is well worth a visit if you're craving a classic yet elevated pepperoni pizza. Would you like me to add a star rating or include more details about the service or ambiance?

I went out of my way to drive to this place. I never expected such a good food place to be in NoHo of all places, but seeing as the red line station is a walk away, this place is smartly placed. I’ve been wanting to try this place since I saw Dave Portnoy take a bite out of their pizza. While I can’t stand Dave because he’s a Celtics fan, the pizza look scrumptious 🤤 On the way back from PT, I thought I finally give this place a try I felt awkward entering the place. I was the only guy there. I’m an awkward guy, but once I took a look at the Bullet Club inspired shirts they were selling, and having RAW on, I knew these guys were cool people. So I shot the shit while waiting for my pizza. The owner said he and his buddies have been wrestling fans their whole lives, and one was heading to Wrestlemania. Now onto the pizza. I might have to try it again to give a solid confirmation, but their pizza might be the best pizza I’ve had in LA. The dough that they used is thin and crispy, but burnt at the bottom just enough to give a toasty flavor. The sauce was very delicious as well. Or whatever I can taste at the moment because I burnt my tongue scarfing down the whole pie. It was worth it. If you want a place with good pizza go here. A huge plus if you’re a mark like me 😊

Google
Great pizza if you want to try a different kind of pizza. I came here last night for an event so I was able to try their cheese pizza. This is an authentic new haven style pizza. I thought the pizza was great and if I was to come back, I will try their pepperoni pie pizza. The owner of the place was nice enough to explain to me about how the business started and their different locations. The staff are wonderful here and will give you a show on how they make the pizza. The interior of this place is spacious and you will have a good time here.

Google
We stopped in after a long hike in the mountains and stopped in after a rave review by Dave Portnoy. We placed an order online and it didn’t go thru their order system and they were so apologetic. The pizza came out quickly and they threw in a salad for free for the inconvenience. The pizza is amazing and their dill sauce…well, you have to order it and dip your pizza in it. Shoot, we could bathe in it. Ozzy’s Apizza New Haven-style pizza is legit! We are visiting from North Carolina but will be back. Worth going out of your way for when you’re close to NoHo.

Google
I grew up in Connecticut and was thrilled when I heard a New Haven style pizza place was opening in Los Angeles. Absolutely loved everything about this spot, especially the pizza! Thin crust. Clams just like New Haven! Love the LA vibe. Indoor/outdoor seating, in a great hood. Chris and staff are amazing. Will be back soon! Thank you guys!

Google
Solid New Haven style pizza in LA. The owner was beyond nice and friendly. You should definitely try this pizza joint out.

Google
Really really good pizza. Tried the straight cheese and the white sausage. Both excellent. Was greeted by friendly staff at 3pm in the afternoon when no one was there. They made us feel at home and even asked if it was our first time grabbing takeout. It was and they thanked us for coming in. Support this restaurant at all costs!

Google
I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent visit. While the ingredients in my pizza were excellent, I was disappointed with the soggy and chewy crust. More concerning, however, was the customer service I experienced. I placed an order and waited approximately 50 minutes. During this time, I observed many customers order, eat, and leave. Eventually, I realized the dining area was empty and inquired about my order, only to find that my pizza had been ready and sitting for about 20 minutes without anyone notifying me. The employee who took my name did not call it out when the order was ready. My son had been looking forward to trying your pizza based on what he'd heard, but our overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of attention from staff. No employee offered assistance or acknowledged our presence while we waited. Additionally, the parking situation was not ideal. I believe there is significant room for improvement in your customer service.

Yelp
Updated as of January 2025: I adore Chris and his team!! All the selfless hours they are putting in to feed those displaced and the first responders. Just kudos all around. Made me want to come back to get the S+M (add sausage) just to keep supporting them! Way to rally and be there for the community. Much love! Updated as of November 2024: Hits the spot every time!!! Such good crust! Great service! Awesome music!

Yelp
Ozzy's Apizza intrigued me, as I rarely hear about New Haven-style pizza in the Los Angeles area. I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to give Ozzy's a try. There was a small line, and ordering went by very quickly. I ordered their version of a pepperoni pie, and it was a sizable pizza (with enough leftovers for one person). I thought it was good but not as thin or crispy as I expected for a New Haven-style pizza. There was ample indoor seating and also a space to sit outdoors.

Yelp
When I first tried Ozzy's at their original spot in Glendale, I thought the pizza was amazing. Super thin and crispy crust, a nice flavorful tomato sauce, and just the right amount of ooey gooey cheese. I got it with pepperoni. It was cooked perfectly. Superb pizza. I was so excited to try it gain I made a trip from OC up to their North Hollywood location and I brought some first timer friends promising them the best pizza in LA. Unfortunately the pizza missed the mark. We got 3 pies. The "Pepperoni Idiot" pizza came out overcooked and dry. Nothing like the first time we had it. The "You're Welcome" clam pizza was bland. I expected more since this is supposed to be New Haven style. The Zupp was cooked better than the others and was my favorite pie of the night even though I really prefer pepperoni. In Ozzy's defense, it was a Saturday night and they were super busy. Still, the pizza was a letdown and I feel bad hyping it up to my buddies.

Yelp
I would be lying if I said the little black chihuahua mascot did not catch my attention first, but the pizza did not disappoint either! Everything was so good and I will definitely be ordering again.

Yelp
I have to share my love for this pizza place! They make what I consider the perfect pizza. The dough is wonderfully thin, and the crust is just right--not too thick, not too thin. Honestly, the bottom is always cooked to perfection, giving it that satisfying crunch that I crave. The toppings and sauces they offer are top-notch. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything just works together beautifully to create an authentic taste that's hard to find elsewhere. One of the best parts? Even when I order delivery, the pizza arrives in great shape, still tasting fresh and delicious like it just came out of the oven. If you're on the hunt for a truly great pizza, this is the place to go. I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
I've been fortunate to have a myriad of pizza experiences in New York, Venice, London, and Los Angeles. While I haven't had the chance to try New Haven Apizza yet, I've heard it's self-proclaimed as "the best pizza in the world." If authentic New Haven Apizza is anything like Ozzy's, then I might have to agree and will book a flight to experience it for myself. It's hard to believe pizza can taste this good. I ordered the Liotta pie and the Cheese pie. Initially, I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy a "plain" tomato slice without cheese or toppings, but don't be fooled--there's so much flavor and depth in its simplicity. The sauce has a subtle spice balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The dough is a unique blend of fluffiness and crispiness. It's unbelievable satisfying to chew the dough and crust; I couldn't help but smile after every bite. The cheese slice is also incredible, with the perfect ratio of zesty cheese to marinara sauce. The pies are 14 inches and come with six slices. Because the slices are so light and thin, I had three of each and have no regrets. I love pizza. I love frozen pizza, Lunchable pizza, pizza rolls, bad pizza, and I especially love good pizza. Ozzy's Apizza is easily in my top five pizzas I've eaten--not just in LA, but in my lifetime.

Yelp
This pizza is pretty good and sits a pretty high score for me. The pepperoni curls up and holds that delicious grease up. The crust is thin but can perfectly hold the delicious marinara and cheese up. I also enjoy the price point that the pies are at. I order take out here but the vibe is very casual. Service is super quick too and they pump out pies . I recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Welcome to NoHo Ozzy! I know what you're thinking "another pizza joint in LA?", but Ozzy's Apizza is definitely worth checking-out if you want to try New Haven style pizza. Ozzy's Apizza has left Glendale and is now located in North Hollywood at the NoHo Commons by the intersection of Lankershim and Chandler. Parking was easy and free since you're able to park inside the parking structure. The overall vibe was low key and it was fun to hear emo music from 2005 playing over the speakers. From the moment I walked-in, Chef/founder Chris Wallace was really outgoing and welcomed me as if I was a regular. He was excited to hear it was my first time and assured me I would enjoy this style of Pizza. Since I came in during dinner rush on Election Night, he was upfront that it would be a 45 min wait but it was worth it! All pizzas are 14" which is about 6 medium slices. I ordered The Bada Bing ($27), this pie was THIN and packed with plenty of flavors. Of all the toppings, it was the house made red sauce that stood out. I do plan on coming back so I can try the "The Kevin" (lol) which apparently is a secret item menu of "The Liotta" with pepperoni.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Solid pizza, chill vibe. Worth the drive in from the Death Valley of Pizza, the Antelope Valley. Tried the pepperoni and the white garlic sauced spinach and we will be back. Good prices, easy access.
google avatar

The_Hangry_Rider ..

Yelp
Best think crust pizza around! I normally don't like think crust pizza but after eating this all I could think about was another think crust pizza.
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
New location is even better than before, closer to me, and parking next door in the large garage. This used to be the Blaze Pizza location, so it has ample room for many customers. I had a Bada Bing Pizza today where they swapped the pepperoni for sausage(Its really good here and homemade). The pizza comes hot, and I recommend waiting a few minutes for the sauce and cheese to settle together. The salami is nice, not overpowering or too greasy. The onions and mushrooms give a nice earthy contrast and makes for a really good slice. I'd say this is my second favorite pie here, and that says something since I prefer white pies to tomato ones. Looking forward to the ice cream sandwiches returning by next week.

Yelp
I've been eagerly waiting for Ozzy's to open in the old Mod Pizza spot, and it was worth the anticipation! Nestled in NoHo Commons, right in the heart of North Hollywood's buzzing art district, this spot is part of one of L.A.'s first mixed-use, transit-friendly developments. Conveniently located next to 24 Hour Fitness, it's the perfect place to indulge after a tough workout--because you've earned it! The story behind Ozzy's is just as amazing as the food. Chef/Founder Chris Wallace started Ozzy's in his home kitchen back in 2021, with a dream of bringing the unique flavors of his hometown's Apizza to Los Angeles. In 2022, fellow New Havener Craig Taylor joined him, and the rest is history. Brought together by their shared love of metal, comedy, wrestling, and ah-beetz, they've made it their mission to bring their beloved thin, crispy, well-done pizza to the City of Angels. Oh, and Ozzy? He's not just the namesake--he's the cutest Chihuahua ever, and the best friend of Chef Chris! A world-renowned ah-beetz scholar (in his own right), Ozzy proudly represents this top-notch pizzeria. My father and I came to check it out and ordered: -The Liotta Pizza: "You're gonna like this guy, he's all right, he's a goodfella." A classic New Haven "plain" pie with house-made red sauce, olive oil, and parmesan. Simple but so flavorful! -Caesar Salad: Crisp romaine, shredded Parmesan, croutons, and a Caesar dressing. -You Knead This Bread: Garlic cheese bread served with a side of their delicious homemade red sauce. A must-try for bread lovers! -Beer/Wine: Featuring selections from Big Noise Beer Company and Pie Wines. Parking is a breeze here with a free garage right in front. I'll definitely be back! Ozzy's is a fantastic addition to the area and a must-visit for pizza lovers.

Yelp
We got the liotta and the cheese pizza. Came here from Dave portnoys review so had high expectations. Pros - friendly staff /owner - pizza was good (nothing spectacular) I'm no pizza aficionado so can't articulate why it was just "good" and nothing more other than I thought it was a bit plain tasting. - ate an entire pizza and didn't feel like a pig yet was full enough. Cons - a little expensive ($48.18 15% tip) Overall -7/10

Yelp
First timers to Ozzy's Apizza! A friend suggested Ozzy's as a great pizza place, we now agree! We ordered two pepperonis and the mega power pizza. My young niece love her several pieces of pepperoni and I loved the thin crusted cheesy mega! The salads were fresh but seemed small for the price. They placed the salads in plastic containers and then into paper pails. We recommend Ozzy's Apizza and will carry out w them again!

Yelp
The pizza is really good and the vibe is cool too, parking is on the street def order the bada bing
google avatar

Yelp
I missed going to the Glendale place, and it was great to find out that they opened up even closer to home for me, and the pizza is just as good. The service is great and they make the pizza just like they do back home in New York City. I'm definitely going to go back. The big screen was playing Elf, a nice family Christmas movie while we leisurely ate our pizza in the very cool new location. Love the mural!
google avatar

Yelp
Growing up on The West Coast, I'm a fan of East Coast Pizza. Ozzy's offers a great selection of New Haven, Connecticut Pizza. I ordered the Bada Bing and Mikey Rabbit and used the 30% off Happy Hour DoorDash deal for pickup in the heart of North Hollywood Arts District. The staff is very friendly and pizza is crispy & delicious!
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Pros -parking -nice staff -New Haven style pizza which has a cracker think crust that has a slight burnt taste to it which is the style Cons -on the pricier side Rating 8.5/10
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
I am so glad to see them open another location. The pizza here is outstanding! They are so friendly and hard-working here. I love the lightness of their crust, this is a pizza that won't weigh you down and make you feel sluggish after eating. High quality ingredients made to order. I suggest calling to avoid await. Great addition to the area, highly recommended!

Yelp
Update: don't know why the owner thought I ordered DoorDash, cuz I didn't: I said take-out. First and last time I order a so-called tomato pie. $20 for a pizza mostly coated with sauce might be a vegetarians dream, but it certainly is a nightmare for me. Upon preliminary view, it looked kinda good. I ordered the Leota pie. It's described as a heavily sauced thin crust pizza with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. The Parmesan cheese cannot be discerned by the naked eye, but you can feel it if you finger the sauce. So what went wrong? 1) it was cold. I ordered take out. They said 15-20 minutes. I arrived during that time frame. Don't know what type of heating apparatus they used, but it was cold. 2) although some pieces had a nicer char and had a structure that held up, other pieces were undercooked and floppy. 3) the overall taste. It's not a fun thing to eat. For those who find it enjoyable, it probably is an acquired taste. The pizza sauce is bitter and sharp, and I've tasted this sauce before, but on Chicago deep dish pizza. That is more appropriate because of the type of crust and cheese they used. Plus other toppings, the sauce thrives in that type of environment . I can only eat a couple slices, and had to cleanse my palate with something sweet thereafter with this one. And one counter Parmesan packet simply won't do here.

Yelp
Great pizza! Casual spot to stop by and grab a pie. I had been to the Glendale location and recently found out about the NoHo location. Service was great, super clean inside and they also have an outside seating area as well! Must try if you haven't already.
google avatar

Yelp
We saw a review online and went. I have a problem with reviewing pizza joints because overall they are mostly the same. This was thin crust and it was fan freaking tastic. I love the place and the guys working there were great. would go back again. and again
google avatar

Brian A.

Yelp
Wow! What a find! Some of the best pizza I've had in the 25 years I've lived in this city, and there aren't nearly enough New Haven style places out there. Super thin crispy crust. Zero flop. White clam pizza is a gem not nearly enough places serve. Theirs is fantastic. The pepperoni was equally as fantastic. Incredibly flavorful. Neither were the slightest bit greasy or oily. Worth a trip no matter how far you have to drive.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
I pre-ordered this on their website before they opened because I figured it would be as hot and fresh as it could be. They use DoorDash, but don't seem to be searchable on the DoorDash app. This is kind of a downer because if you get charged a delivery fee. That fee would have been waved with your Dash Pass membership. Weird. Ordered the cheese pizza. I rarely like a plain cheese pizza, but I heard that this is the order to really judge the pizza on. It arrived cold. The pizza is flavorful with plenty of sauce and cheese. I'm not sure what size I ordered (I think there is only one size available), but it came out to six good sized slices. So, I think next time, I'll come to the restaurant and eat the pizza when it's hot.

Yelp
Such a good pie. Their New Haven style is so Amazing. Besides Apolonias this spot is my go to place for pizza now. Highly recommend this place. It's definitely the best pizza in the San Fernando valley right now hands down.
google avatar

Cretin H.

Yelp
Great pizza. Didn't taste much different than new York style though. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Tamara H.

Yelp
I saw Dave Portnoy's review for this place on one bite and wanted to try it ever since. It's basically New Haven style pizza. The service was excellent, very friendly staff. The dining patio is very cute too. So we tried the Liotta which is a classic New Haven style pie, and got half cheese and half pepperoni. The Liotta was very interesting as the only cheese on it was Parmesan. The red sauce had really good flavor and the crispy crust was perfect. The cheese was really good as well, but my favorite was the Pepperoni which was a cup and crisp type of pepperoni. Now I don't have to go all the way to New Haven, CT to get that style of pizza. And I'm really Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
I moved to NoHo 10 months ago and in that time my hubby and I tried most all pizza places near by. Thank goodness Ozzy's is here to reset the pizza quality bar: BEST PIZZA IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD. Period. The crust is fresh and incredibly flavorful - gets baked to a yummy crunch every time. Sauce is creamy and not too acidic, making it a great eat any time of day or night. (Pizza also upholds great for any left overs and reheat) Toppings are fresh and well thought out with every pie combo. Less is more and they know that at Ozzys 's there is no 20 topping monstrosities here, just good flavor from the first bite to the last. Service is great, everyone is so friendly and kind - you can tell they love what they do and it comes out not just in their presence but in every pizza they make. The owner Chris is always there to greet us or answer any questions about the pies. Do try their seasonal offerings you'll get surprise at the pairings (like the "Pork and Bees" with Calabrian chili oil and honey for that sweet spicy salty crunch ) Do yourself a flavor favor and try em. Ozzys is our only pizza go to now - again hands down best pizza in NoHo.
google avatar

Joyce J.

Yelp
We're usually not pizza people, but our friends wanted to try Ozzy's. We loved it! We appreciated the many pizza options, especially with different dietary needs. It's more fun to go in a group so you can try more. The You Knead This Bread was a hit- garlic cheese bread in the shape of a pie- and disappeared fast. There are four picnic-sized tables outside and a bunch of tables and counter seats inside. The parking structure across the street is free - at least when we went.

Mikel H.

Yelp
Delicious pizza! We've ordered the Mikey Rabbit a few times - consistently amazing!! And Great service !!!

Yelp
Trying a different style pizza not my cup of tea but not bad. This pizza has a thin tangy sauce.

Yelp
Ozzy's Apizza is the best pizza in LA, I know that's a bold statement but I'll stand by it. I've been eating Ozzy's since they were just a pop-up and love coming to their new home in NoHo. Thin and crispy while not being dry, the sauce is delicious, and the char is perfect. My wife who doesn't eat dairy loves that they offer a vegan cheese (or a tomato pie with no cheese) so she can eat it too. The staff is great, friendly, helpful, and fun, the owner is right there front and center 99% of the time doing whatever job is needed to keep his customers happy. I've done both dine in and take out and recommend Ozzy's to all my friends. This new location in NoHo has a great vibe with a huge mural, and a tv that's usually playing something great. You can not go wrong with Ozzy's Apizza. Believe the hype, it's well deserved.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late lunch with a friend who saw that it was new and had been wanting to try it out. We didn't know what New Haven-style pizza was but we're fans! We got the White Rabbit and the Mikey Rabbit (we were in the mood for white pizzas) and they were both fantastic! The crust was thin but had a nice chew and crunch. I think we came by during that lull between lunch and dinner since there was almost no one else in the place but bonus! We got to try a new slice they were working on -- I hope it makes it onto the menu!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Cheese, sauce and crust are, ultimately, good. I think someone goofed up and left my pizza in the oven for slightly too long. I'm PRO char. I get upset when people complain about charred bits on a pizza crust. I even think less of them a bit. Unfortunately, I got crust that was straight up burnt. The center of the pizza was fine, but the edges tasted like charcoal. Looking at some of their photos, it does seem the edges are not supposed to be full-on burnt. I was told it would be a 45 minute wait when ordering. The pizza came out 40 minutes later. Regrettably, this was not worth the wait for a 14 inch pizza. I hate bringing up quantity, but for the same price I could've gotten a 20 inch NY style pizza that tastes just as good or better. I wanted to love this place so bad from everything I've heard. I still recommend trying it. This place was packed, so I seem to be in the minority with my feedback.
google avatar

Gustavo M.

Yelp
Really good pizza. We got thin-crust, white sauce with Italian sausages. It is so yummy! Please offer an option to double the meat if you don't have it already. We want more sausages. :))
google avatar

Asher A.

Yelp
Overpriced. Too think crust and I am a thin crust guy. Sauce not enough, dry texture. Not enough cheese and misshaped pies.
google avatar

Mo m.

Yelp
Made a trip here for Sunday lunch with some friends. Staff was friendly and place was spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Had a cool casual vibe and relax place to enjoy some pizza. We got 5?! Pies and they all mostly gotten eaten up. The Nee Haven was the real reason I came here to see if the foodie blogs were true on how good it was. We'll say different. Was the sauce on the pie good? Yes! Was the over all experience worth it...hmmm...my budget minded self would prefer some more "meat" on my pies for the $$. Still a good place to get some eat Tip for this spot they have a parking structure just across the way for easy parking. Enjoy!

Eric R.

Yelp
Authentic East Coast Pizza in NoHo If you want authentic east coast pizza that has a crust that is thin and crispy with a good char on it, this is your spot. Ozzy's, named after the owner's dog, is the real deal. The place is open and airy with music playing overhead. They have a great dining room that's observed by Ozzy from a mural on the wall. The staff are very friendly and the food is the real deal. David Portnoy ("One bite, everybody knows the rules".) rated it 8.1 an amazing score from him.
google avatar

Yelp
Thin. Crispy. Perfection. Not much else to say. Probably the best pizza in Los Angeles.
google avatar

Liza G.

Yelp
I am from Connecticut and grew up eating New Haven pizza. I love living in California, and find the food options plentiful but I have always missed the pizza from my home state. I got very excited when I read an article yesterday about Ozzy's and learned that I could get a taste of home right here! That night my husband and I drove to test it out for ourselves. The restaurant is spacious with a nice open kitchen where you can see the pizza being made. The restaurant has a large beautiful mural on the wall which I believe is the owners dog, Ozzy. My husband ordered The Swanson and I ordered a cheese pizza. The food did take about 45 minutes to come out, but it was a Friday night. The waiter was pleasant and it was well worth the wait. If you haven't eaten it, it is hard to explain exactly what makes New Haven style pizza so special. I am pleased to report that Ozzy's nailed it. The texture is absolutely perfect, the flavor is a true taste of home. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza. I know I plan to become a regular here.
google avatar

Ji K.

Yelp
Ozzy's pizza was awesome and incredible. The tomato pie fresh from the oven with something that I'm looking forward to eating again. The tomato sauce that was homemade was made with love, but the bread is what really shines. The crunch the chewing is the subtle flavors of the wheat oh so gently dancing on your tongue, Truly divine. Y'all should make more vegetarian pizza options, but besides, that will be coming back soon

Yelp
My wife and I were excited to try New Haven style pizza. We'd heard a lot about it and were delighted to see Ozzy's Apizza moved somewhat close to us. For family pizza night, we decided to give it a go to feed our family of four. We thought 2 whole pies would be a bit excessive for us, but we wanted to experience at least a couple varieties. We ordered both the "Pepperoni Idiot Pie" ($21) and the "White Rabbit" ($22) via their website for pickup. Upon my arrival, they were super punctual with my order's promptness and welcoming. The staff was really sweet and accommodating with my order. However, the pizzas appeared to be quite small compared to what I guess I was expecting for a $21-22 dollar pie, being maybe 12-14" in diameter. But it was what it was, and I took it home. The family wasted no time digging in. But all of us likely bought into the hype too much, I guess. Because of that, we found these pizzas to be just okay. I mean, it's difficult to find bad pizza and this was far from bad pizza. But we've definitely had better (and bigger), especially for less money than these. Since I was the one who bought it, I didn't let any go to waste, which wasn't hard to do since they were pretty small pies. But again, these pizzas were just okay. Maybe it's just that we didn't gel with the New Haven style, or it just wasn't the best kind of New Haven pizza. We don't know, nor are we experts on the subject. Regardless, us being underwhelmed was the general vibe at our dinner table between an 8yo and a 49yo. We all found the pies pretty light on toppings and somewhat weak on flavor. And after adding two bottles of Sprecher Craft soda ($5/each) to the order, our pretax total was $53 before taxes and gratuity. That's a lot for a take out pizza order that only comes with two smaller pies and some personal servings of craft soda. I do feel bad for writing this review and I truly hope this business succeeds. But at these prices, I'd have to be hard pressed to get it again. I'd consider them again if the pies were bigger at 16-18" for these exact prices. But I doubt I'll be back anytime soon as I know I can stretch my dollar further with other nearby pizza restaurants.

Yelp
The BEST Apizza in LA. I couldn't find it at first and then I smelled the beautiful smell of a bit of pizza char. The new locale is awesome, parking was easy, the actual, physical restaurant is great. I'll be here AT LEAST once a week.

Yelp
I'm from Connecticut so it's really cool to have a place doing CT-style apizza down the street from where I now live in North Hollywood. The owner Chris is a super cool dude, he played great music while we enjoyed our pizzas. The smell of the shop and the flavors were super nostalgic for me. I'm so excited to live walking distance from such a cool spot and I plan to be a regular here. Also I love the huge mural of Ozzy. Super sick.

Yelp
If you step into the ring at Ozzy's new official brick & mortar location in NoHo then prepare your taste buds for the New Haven suplex of flavors. Sauce, Olive Oil and Charcoal form an electrifying trio. The joint itself is a pizza lovers dream. You can tell that oodles of planning, rehearsing and love went into its design. Much like a wrestling match, it was all done with the intention of pleasing the fans as much as possible. I'm talking parm, crushed red pepper and to go boxes at the ready. The crazy hot charcoal oven burning on full display. Bottled and fountain sodas. A $6 Little Caesar Caesar salad that included plenty of dressing and was split perfectly between 3 people. FREE PARKING. And to put the cherry on top, an attentive and friendly crew.

Yelp
Been following since the days in Underdogs, then the move to Glendale and now finally to a full fledged place! The pies have been amazing ever since! Glad to have seen and being part of the growth ever since. Also shoutout to the amazing owner Chris! Onwards and upwards!

Yelp
We dined on the patio. After waiting a whopping 25 minutes for our pizza, it arrived both burnt AND cold. After five minutes, our server was on the way to another table, and she asked, "How is everything?" We replied, "Not good." She said she'd be right back to hear about it. She never came back.

Yelp
Ozzy's Apizza is a breath of fresh air from the usual LA pizza scene, transporting you straight to New Haven with its authentic flavors and perfect crust. It's where old-school tradition meets a modern twist, and you can truly taste the difference. The owner, Chris, brings a warm, welcoming energy that shines through in every bite. His passion is reflected in the food, from the charred, thin crust to the rich, flavorful toppings. It's a place where you can appreciate craftsmanship and heart. 10/10--definitely a must-try!

Yelp
Nice new spot, they know pizza. Tried the classic New Haven style (saucy with only hard cheese on thin crust). Delicious sauce, good crust with a nice char/crisp but no burnt flavor. The Parm was fine, not too distinct but that might just be the style. Had it with a fresh and basic but generous salad and an Italian Ice that's made in the valley. The interior is basic but welcoming and comfortable. Definitely more of an east coast feel vs. a lot of LA spots.
