"Sports bar Pacific Standard, located at 82 Fourth Ave in Park Slope, is closing after 12 years. Known for rotating California microbrews, quiz nights, comedy shows, and poetry and fiction reading series, it announced its closure with more details to follow." - Stefanie Tuder

"If your first question when you walk up to a bar is, “What kind of IPAs do you have on tap?,” then Pacific Standard should be in your rotation. This Park Slope beer bar has 16 beers on tap, mostly from California. They do trivia night and book readings in the back room, and have Happy Hour till 8pm." - Matt Tervooren

Ultra laid back spot for great craft beer. Very west coast influence/ambiance

I came here for a friend birthday party and immediately fell in love with the bar. The walls are adorned with California sports memorabilia with a nicely sized back room with comfortable couches and enough space to move around in. They have a great selection of beers, including my favorite - Left Hand Milk Stout, with others rotating on tap. This is a really great bar to meet up with friends and unwind after a long day.

Amazing microbrew bar with great pub food menu. The decor has a Northern Californian theme and feels comfy and homey. They have a cold box keg fridge right behind the bar so the beer tastes even better because the tap lines don't go far. Books, darts, board games, readings, trivia, sports... This bar is near perfect.

Visiting as I was from NorCal, I was impressed with their attention to detail - Its-Its are on the menu! Oh and the drinks were good too; I enjoyed a dark and stormy and got good reports on Manhattans. Given the 20-degree weather we would have enjoyed a hot toddy, which I can get in Berkeley but not here :(. Generally though, nice place to meet friends; warm atmosphere and not too loud.

A pretty standard bar with a California theme and a decent selection of craft beer on tap. The room in the back is nice for relaxing on big comfy couches and a projector for sports. The bar is pretty big as well. The tap selection is pretty substantial with several California and New York craft beers on tap.

Decent choice for a beer in the neighborhood-- they've got a fairly extensive selection of interesting and seasonal options on tap, plus bottled beers and cocktails. The decor is geared toward making northern Californians feel nostalgic, and there's a shabby-sweet game room/library in the back.

I came here late last night around 1AM and they serve craft beer, which is cool. They also have a pretty rad back room with books, a pinball machine, couches and darts. They were also playing some good music. Great prices and a neighborhood gem.

I like this place - it is chill and laid back, good beer selection, and friendly bar tenders. The only thing that keeps me from going there anytime I'm looking for a place to go is that it's kind of smelly. Skunky beer smell, like the beer that has been spilled on the floor months ago has never been cleaned up. If you can get past that though, or drink quickly enough once you get there so that your olfactory nerves shut down, it's a great place to go.
