Best Irish pub around. Great service. Great people. Proprietor is super chill. Live music nightly ranging from bluegrass to classic Celtic melodies. There's open mic too. Sound system was professionally installed and calibrated. Pool table in the back. Highly recommended.

A fine friend lead us to Paddy’s as part of an NYC Guinness tour. The pour was perfect and the draft fresh, just the right amount of wateriness. Add on top of that the warm lit and wooden environs, and it’s a recipe for magic. Sad to find out that they will be closing their doors for good at the end of March. Def worth a stop in to pay respects.

Had an amazing night out at Paddy Riley's Irish Pub! The atmosphere here is exactly what you'd hope for in a traditional Irish pub--warm, welcoming, and filled with the hearty laughter of patrons enjoying a good time. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live band. They played a fantastic setlist of classic rock hits that had everyone tapping their feet, singing along, and occasionally breaking into impromptu dance moves. The selection of Guinness and other tap beers was impressive, making sure there was a perfect pint for every taste. Adding to the unique charm of Paddy Riley's, we loved the flexibility to order our own food; Shake Shack burgers alongside our pints truly hit the spot. This place nails the balance between a lively music scene and the laid-back vibe of an Irish pub, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy great music, great beer, and a great time.

I went to this bar with my friends to celebrate a birthday because we live in the neighborhood and we were having a pleasant time until some guys started arguing with us over the pool table order. When the conflict escalated, the opposing group of men started calling my friend who is gay very offensive slurs concerning his sexuality. When he stood up for himself and others defended him we were all kicked out of the bar and when we tried to explain the situation the bouncer he told me to "shut the fuck up" and told my friend to "get the biggest dildo he could find and shove it up his ass." The man who was throwing slurs at us was allowed to remain in the bar because he was a "regular." We were insulted by the staff and the patrons and no one cared.

I have walked by this bar for literally 40 years. I was in the mood for a pint of Guinness after work. The bar was empty at 5:00. It was atmospheric. The bar is worn, in a good and comfortable way. Lots of emblems from fire and police departments. The vibe is uncommon for this part of Manhattan. It doesn't feel like a yuppie hangout. There were two other patrons. The bartender was nice. She was chatting with a regular. I have no idea what the atmosphere and vibe are when the bar is busy. On the way out, I passed a couple of full blown Bukowski barflies on the way in to regulate their blood alcohol levels. I'd go back to check it out again. A refreshing change of pace.

Stop by here. For a Guinness and it's still good here ! It used to have all the drafts spell Guinness on tap I was here and then the Teeling Girls came in and had free tasting for the crowd.. The space now has be remodeled and now has a stage for bands in the corner of the bar . The have happy hour here and pretzels, and white castle sliders as ($5) for food.

The best airs bar in NYC hands down. Music is great, drinks, crowd etc. Everyone is super friendly and it is actually a clean establishment unlike so many other bars in NYC. Highly recommend.

The bartender was annoying. She tried to pretend she was hotter than she really was and injustice left without giving a tip, I feel female cashiers and bartenders try to use their looks to get more tips. Not fooling me.

On my visit to New York, I had read that this was a historical place to try what used to be the only all-Guinness bar in the United States. In recent years we were told that they had to add other beers on tap because the younger crowd wanted light beers lol. The cool thing about this place is that the Guinness is very good, there's music 7 days a week and it's cash only. I got there relatively close to open and there was already a group of people in the back playing pool. It seems like a lovely neighborhood bar where you can just wander in and have a pint while listening to music. The live music starts later in the evening. The bartender was awesome. We sat there for several hours and just enjoyed our drinks while listening to the sound of people enjoying theirs. The bartender and the manager/ owner said they were closing at the end of March for renovations but they will be back! I really hope this place reopens because I'd like to visit again next time I'm up north.

Happened to be in the area and decided to step inside, Im Glad i did! This is such a welcoming place! Super Irish and what's not to love about that! The place is as traditional as traditional Can get. The Bartender is super nice and welcoming.I'm glad I stepped inside, I will definitely consider stopping by again if I'm ever in the area again.

We happened to pass by the bar and heard live music, went in for a glass of wine and were very pleasantly surprised by the amazing atmosphere and live music every day, I'm very glad that we found such a nice cozy bar

Stopped in check out the renovated PR's. A Saturday afternoon, about 6:10. Sit at the bar, order a Guinness....figure it's nice to get one before their oft promoted happy hour ends at 7:00. Bartender let's the pint stand, as he should, walks over and asks if it's cash or credit tab. I say cash . He looks me in the eye and says "$12." Mind you right over his shoulder above the bar is a poster showing Every Day Happy Hour 4-7....Guinness $8. Paid the thief. Had my pint and left. Had my dinner down the street.

So many bars in NYC but there is something extra special about Paddy Reilly's. Great atmosphere, great service, and wonderful hosts. Don't hesitate to go you will not be disappointed.

What a fun time we had a Paddy's!!! What can I tell you... We came across this pub accidentally, as it was around the corner from our Airbnb, east side of Manhattan. We didn't know we had discovered a jewel at the time. This is a traditional old school Irish pub with live Celtic music and home for aspiring musicians. A local pub where folks know each other, yet, they made us feel right at home. Brian, the bartender, was terrific. Super friendly, attentive, and a master in the art of pouring a Guinness. We met John Syze, a local fellow who made the experience even more fun. Did I mention affordable spirits and hops? New York can go crazy with prices of beer. Not this place! One of the highlights of our trip to NYC.

Love this spot. Sooo chill. No judgement zone . . Friendly staff. Friendly patrons. Lots and lots of Guinness and Jameson's. If you are into pina coladas and margarita go somewhere else. The happy hour starts at 11am... say no more...bring your own food . Drink until your hearts content. Came on Wednesday... open Mic. ..quite entertaining. From the entertainment to the hecklers. Had a great time. Great crowd . Great service. Great drinks. Great time.. Love this place.

2 stars bc my friend said it was fun around midnight on a Friday night. My friend was there and they wouldn't let me in at 3am on a "friday" night, even though it says they close at 4am. Not only that but they were very rude about it and shooed me out the door. I was just trying to see my friend. Rotund guy with glasses-stay away, very rude.

Best bar in the Kips Bay Area. Staff are excellent. Atmosphere impeccable. Pool table. Live music. Just a lot of of good fun.

The bartenders are pretty rude--typical NYC Irish pub. Nothing to see here. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless this is your absolute last option.

Cute little neighborhood irish pub that has fun events almost everyday of the week! Went for an open mic night to see a friend perform and the stage set up is great and the bar is open and quite big. They also now sell hard seltzer which is always a plus for a basic girl like me.

If you like Guinness liked I do, Paddy Reilly is your bar to go to. The staff is friendly with a great smile serving up a cold pint. The juke box is always kicking. The night I visited the bar there was a live band but that was jamming and people were dancing to footloose. I swear I thought I saw Kevin Bacon was kicking it.

I came here to check out an open mic. It was pretty empty when I first came in but I made it before the end of happy hour (7pm). Eventually people starting pouring in like the pints of Guinness. The regulars I met were very friendly and the place really has that family vibe. Warmed up really quickly and felt comfortable performing. Met some other cool musicians. No food is served here, but you can bring your own. There are even menus you can use. I am definitely coming back here for another open mic. Hope to see some of you there as well. Cheers!

As a fellow Irishman myself these lads know what they are doing when it comes to a pint of Guinness. And that's someone who has spent multiple years of his life living in pubs in the good ole city of Galway. Live music makes it feel like I'm back home and I love to jig anytime the band is playing some good music! Would strongly recommend.

All you're gonna get here is Guinness and live music and that's the beautiful thing about this place. The vibe is unbelievably friendly and tranquil and the people you'll meet here will make your day. Make sure to check the website so you know what kinda music you'll be getting!

It's a dive for sure, but we were drawn here by my Happy Hour App. Plenty of good specials before 7pm so if you want to start day drinking this is as good a spot as any to get started. Looks like they do have a pretty decent live music schedule. We missed that but did appreciate the juke box and its music selection.

We snapped a photo of Brian because he was awesome! We were so thankful to find an Irish pub within walking distance from our hotel. The drink prices were some of the most reasonable we found over our weekend in NYC and Brian was one of the most friendliest bartenders. He was welcoming, hilarious and told us all about his time in NYC. The bar never got too crowded either and we were able to enjoy our conversation. He even played one of my favorite artists over the music. Just an all around great bar and we will definitely go back if and when we are ever in NYC again.

Love this place! A real, authentic Irish Bar with amazing live music playing beautiful Irish tunes (or songs which they put add an Irish sound to). The Saturday night band members are extremely talented-and very humble and friendly. Especially impressed with the lead vocalist's vocal range, and the fiddler's playing. Some of the people who come here actually know how to Irish dance- and do it well. Great vibe, staff, and patrons.

Proper pint of Guinness, friendly shit talking amongst regulars and staff, live music. If you need anything else to have a good time we are very likely not friends. A true gem of NYC.

The atmosphere was cool but while I was in New York a few friends and I met up here, the bartender was nice but only carded one out of all four of us and when my friend asked if it was only her that was being carded the bartender said "Yes, only you." She wasn't the only one with alcohol and she was actually the oldest of all of us. I thought it was ridiculous that she only carded her and none of us.

Was in this bar last Sunday, Aug. 12th. An amazing Bluegrass hangout. Some very shit, unappreciative customers, but assholes are everywhere, I guess. Back here again tonight, Sunday 19th awesom

I liked this place. There were two sassy bartendresses, one from Ireland, one from Scotland that chatted us up with the wit only known in the Isles. Decent beer list, fun crowd, pool table in back. We picked the place because the House Band Mickey Finn's was playing, and we did not pay a cover. What would be even better would be if the Finn's started before 11 - we are not wanting to party till 4AM any more, 2 will do, so a 10AM start would be better.

We arrived around 11pm on St Patrick's day. Place was jumping. Band playing. Proper pint of Guinness. Lively Staff. One toilet. All you expect and want on St Paddys day. Maybe a little too packed...but good night, full of good people.

Paddy Reilly's is my go to place for that old time NYC Irish bar. You feel welcome from the moment you enter. Once you leave Second Ave you feel you've been transported to the Irish Countryside. They are famous for they're many varieties of Guinness, and you always get that proper pour. I highly recommend coming to Paddy's with out of town guests or for their Irish music. You will not be disappointed.

Live music by local musicians at a chill bar! I came because I was invited by my friend who was performing that night and there was NO COVER CHARGE to get in. I didn't want to drink and they were nice about not forcing me to buy a minimum of drinks. They gave me some water. How kind. My friends got some beer and some mixed drinks which were reasonably priced for NYC. venue was a bit small, but nice. They have a pool table in the back too. The owner was super friendly too. He likes to get on stage sometimes as well. So yeah whether you want to drink and enjoy some live music, or you just want to come see someone perform (and not be forced to buy drinks.. which they do elsewhere), paddy reilly's is great!

Love Paddys! Come here on Friday and Saturdays for the best live Irish music. The bartenders are great. The bar is no frills and no food, but its always my go to bar for a chill and unpretentious crowd with great music. They have a pool table in the back too!

One of the best Irish Bars in the country. They have live music every day. This is not a toruist bar. Check them out, if you are in midtown. They don't have food, but there is a great Italian place next door.

The most authentic Irish pub in New York. Paddy's has awesome bartenders and Irish music everyday. They pour a great Guinness and a have a pool table and dart board. No food but you can get pizza delivered to the bar.

Came here on St. Patty's day with two fellow yelpers. We felt like getting all Irish-y that day so we picked an Irish sounding bar, makes sense, no? It was a little out of the way from where I live in Brooklyn, but I wasn't guna pass Irishness, so came here and met up my peeps. We were kind of annoyed that there was a $10 cover charge that night to see a band that sucked, baaaaaaddd. But we had all already made it out there so might as well join the drunkenness. Plus, how could we pass this place up after having the pleasure of translating very drunk very heavy accented Irishmen outside. Those guys were hilarious!! It's enough we can't understand the Irish with those (cute) accents, but when they're wasted, it gets much MUCH worse lol. First thing we noticed when we went in was how frickinnnn hotttttttt is was in there!!! Imagine a sauna, then multiply that by ten.....and then add 80 people in attendance in said sauna.....and there ya go. The fans gave us absolutely zero ventilation, I mean HOT in there for realzzzz. But we stuck it out, because, although we weren't huge fans of the place for the first 20 mins, the crowd got much better and people were getting drunk, present company included, and it just turned out to be a great place to be in. The crowd was a little older but not so much as to be turned off if you're in your 20s. After a while though, crowd got lame. Understandable since the [crappy] band left and so everyone kinda just left to barhop in the area. So we peaced out. Thanx drunk Irishmen! D, by the way, that guy totally DID look like he should be on a show in the 80s!! I still have the pic :-)

Oh my god, this used to be the place where my friends would take me pretty much every Friday. Like Victor, I have no idea why its called "Pub Entertainer" but if I had to venture a guess its because its a pub, you see a lovely Irish lass and you're trying to "entertain her". Get it? Okay, whatever. Because it is an Irish pub, of course they've Guinness on tap. And Budweiser, because it is the King of Beers. But the reason we'd come on Fridays was because of the house band, The Prodigals. They've been the houseband for a few years now, and they play traditional Irish music with a rock twist. Picture the Pogues and Black 47 and you've got the Prodigals. Just a great place to hit on Fridays, and even pretty much any night of the week.

While visiting New York, I made an effort to make sure I ended up at Paddy Reilly's one of the nights. You know why? Because I saw them on Ghost Hunters, and I love that show. And secretly I was hoping maybe Kris Williams was visiting there again. Although that is all true, they really lured me in when they said on the show that it was an Irish bar with ALL GUINNESS TAP. So I came here with high expectations and left completely happy. First off, I love the Irish bar atmosphere. Paddy's has live Irish music, which is great to listen to as you're kicking back a Guinness. They also had open mic on this Saturday night, and there were some excellent singers/mucisians there. Takes guts to get up there. They have a large bar, and I appreciated the extra mile the bartenders went. While pouring my Guinness, they used the pour to make a clover shape in the beer head (very creative, made me smile, bonus points). The happy hour special ($5 Guinness pints) is great, but it does get a bit pricey when that ends. I would absolutely come here again when back in New York. I am disappointed I didn't see any ghosts there though... They were probably too busy drinking with me in that great bar.

When I went to visit family in NY I was walking around town after dark and found some loud obnoxious 3 story club that was packed, went in and just felt gross. So i left, asked the door guy if there was a good pub close by and he pointed me to the way of Paddy Reilly's. Now granted I was only in NY for about 4 days but this place was my favorite bar I went to. As i recall there were 6 taps, 5 of which were Guinness. The bartender told me they all used to be Guinness but had to change one to Bud because apparently some people don't enjoy a delicious Guinness. Anyway, The Prodigals were playing the night I went there, great band, I hear they're still doing great things. I met some really interesting nice people and I even met someone from Oklahoma (where I am from) so that was kinda cool. All in all, great bar, kinda small but excellent staff and wonderful music.

Unsure of why it's called "pub entertainer" on Yelp here, but this is a great Irish bar to throw back a perfectly poured pint of guinness. It's the only thing they have on tap. Now, for the professed perfect pint of Guinness, I do'nt know why it's 6 bucks a pop, but its tasty nevertheless. There is plenty of room to sit at the high tables either by the front windows or toward the back, and the bartenders are friendly. But the one thing that really makes this place stand out is the live music, it permeates the soul of the place, and if you need an Irish music fix, here is always the most frequent option during the week, almost every night, open on Wednesdays if I remember and schedule bands other nights. Its on a dark, quiet block. Very dark, very quiet. That's just an afterthought.

It might have been because it was just what I needed at the time, but I love this place. Live music is always a good thing, that night a folk/rock group called Whiskey Ginger was playing, and they were great... But here is why I loved it. It was Happy hour on friday in NYC and I didn't feel like dealing with lines of suits and $10 domestic drafts and all the other business nonsense. I was walking down the street and saw Paddy Reilly's, it looked unassuming, and I figured I'd check it out. Perfect. Kind of divey, not all the furniture matched, only Guinness on tap, and affordable. I sat down and made instant friends at the bar, two guys a little older than my age one local from Brooklyn the other from Boston... we all bought a round and had a few good laughs, talked sports, and enjoyed the music. This is one of those little gems you find by accident in NYC.

The best Irish pub in the city, in my humble opinion. I liked it before, but when I found out you can order food from the place next door (Firehouse, I think it's called?) and they'll deliver it to your spot at the bar... I'm sold. Also, great live music, Irish and otherwise. Check out Lower East Side Hot Club, who plays awesome Gypsy jazz on the occasional Friday nights.

My new favorite Irish bar in the city! I was first introduced to this bar two weeks ago by Sean F. We came here to drink some Guinness on tap and some Jamesson shots! I was amazed by the amount of people at this bar on a Weds night. There was a few musicians playing some really good Irish music. I also saw a couple of people clog dancing and river dancing. All in all everyone was having a great time. Tip: $3 Bud Lights, $5 for a Guinness pint during happy hour!
