Had dinner on Saturday at Pago Slc (9th and 9th). It had been a bit since I’d been, but they still knocked it out of the park. We had a 5:30p reservation and it was the perfect time to go; the dinner rush hadn’t really started yet so the kitchen was able to get our food out with excellent pacing. The table ordered the bread (not pictured), burger, trout pirogies, asparagus burrata, whipped potatoes (not pictured), and fondant potatoes to share amongst three people. We didn’t leave hungry and still had leftovers! Out waiter Taylor was well-trained and offered on-point recommendations that left us satisfied at the end of the meal.

Everything was good not great. Service was nice Sophia was good server Caeser salad was good Beet dish was nice but pomegranates kept getting stuck in my teeth Salmon came out overcooked. Also didn’t understand the apples in the dish was weird and the hazelnuts would have been nicer with normal veggies or mushrooms

Updated review: I’ve been here many times before and raved about it. So much so that I brought my friend here from out of town for her birthday. Service: service was so slow. I think they may have been down a person or only had one person serving tables. Food: Bread - bread was burned. I asked for new bread but they say it’s just warmed up. It was not just warmed up it was burned and most of the crust was inedible. Beet salad - after eating this many times I crave this salad! Unfortunately, what I got last night was not what I’ve had before. First I asked for no parsley because I have an aversion to it after a previously bad experience. It was on there. Second, there was no pomegranate or pumpkin seeds (online menu and were on there previously). Third, there were barely any beets and instead there were strawberries. It was so, so disappointing. I didn’t finish it when I’m usually wanting to like the bowl. Gnocchi - oh such sadness. The gnocchi was overcooked which made it very dry. And there was not enough sauce to save it. Only ate about half. The check was very high for bad service and bad food. Will not come back again which makes me sad as this was my go to place for an amazing meal. ————————— Previous review: I’ve been here twice now within a month. I got the same food both times: chilled beets and spinach gnocchi. Honest to goodness the beets with the yogurt espama and pumpkin seeds is probably the best beet dish I’ve ever had!! And the gnocchi is so flavorful and fresh. The only thing that made this less than perfect was our waiter kept interrupting us to ask us how we were doing. I love an attentive waiter but it was too much. However, do not let that stop you from going. This food is delicious!!!!!!

Went here for my birthday and it did not disappoint. The sourdough bread is a must! The best sourdough you will ever have, so good with the house made compound butter. I hear that the Pago burger is the best burger in town, for $20ish it’s worth the money. It is perfectly cooked and juicy. The sauce on the burger is so good. Everything was great. Also we had an awesome waiter, he was very knowledgeable and kind!

Google
We went here for our anniversary and were completely satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! Thanks, Austin! The wine recommendations were spot on for our varied dishes. We will definitely be back. We recommend the burrata, the lamb ragu, and the scallop special, but everything looked delicious! Such a treat and great to support local producers featured so beautifully!!

Absolutely loved this place. The service oh the service!!!!! They were all wonderful, accommodating, kind and on point. Food was great and we loved the cool ambiance! We had appetizers and had the 3 course sample. It was good.

So much fun. Stopped in for wine and cheese. Atmosphere was great. Wait staff so friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
My favorite dinner from our trip to SLC! The menu is small but well-curated, wide variety of new American dishes. You really can't go wrong with anything. Service was great and the ambiance was warm and sophisticated. We were happy to learn how many ingredients are locally sourced! We started with the salmon tart, which was fresh, and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we tried the gnocchi and stroganoff which were both phenomenal. The handmade pasta was unbelievable. Perfectly done and the sauces complemented each dish perfectly. To end, we tried the peanut butter mousse. Very fun and we loved the little chocolate balls. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Pago is the perfect place for a date night, and it is my boyfriend and my go-to place for special occasions. The atmosphere is always spectacular, but be sure to schedule a reservation on their website no matter the day of the week. The service is fast, friendly, and competent. They're always willing to offer drink and food suggestions. The food is delicious! My boyfriend ended up eating his entire plate and what was leftover from mine because all of the dishes are so tasty!

Yelp
My experience tonight was actually a 3.5 stars, but because the burger is so good, I'll leave my 4 star rating. I'll start with how long it took our waiter to address us. Too long. It wasn't busy at 5:15, so not sure why? We started with beetroot tartare. Our first bite, we were both like, hmmm, after our second bite, we both concluded it needed salt, we added salt, and it was much better. Local mushrooms, again, needed salt, what the?! I'm not a heavy salter (my husband is), and it desperately needed it. After we salted them, much better. Sweet potato salad, AGAIN, needed salt. I had to tell our waiter, because this has never happened to me. Later we overheard another table asking for salt..??!! I ordered the burger and my husband got short rib stroganoff, which he loved. My burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. One of my favorite burgers in Utah. We had to laugh because the waiter brought a knife out with my burger, and my husband said, "your bringing that out like we're sharing that burger, but we're not, that's all her!" Ha! The burger is yummy. We finished off the meal with the maple blondie, which we both agreed was incredible. One last thing that was frustrating is that I went online to check out their menu beforehand, but when we got there, the menu was totally different, not cool. Come for the burger, leave room for the blondie.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. French Toast...large serving, but was barely warm. The brioche was either under cooked, or soaked so long in batter that the top portion looked raw when you cut into it (picture 3) Applewood smoked bacon- thinly cut, barely warm, greasy and not very crispy Eggs Benedict- again, barely warm. Otherwise the taste was OK. Coffee- nothing special, but pricey. Service - the place wasn't busy, but our food was served barely warm and the server never offered to refill our coffee, we had to ask for a 2nd cup. The place is nice, but for the price you'd think they could serve the food piping hot, not lukewarm. An article we read claimed it was the best brunch in salt lake, but that wasn't our experience.

Gabe P.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in my life! The chef knows what the heck he's doing, and comes up with flavors that you are amazed when you taste! We got the smoked burrata among other things, really good. I also want to note the whipped mousse we got for dessert, probably the best dessert you can find. They were very nice to rearrange some tables to get us in, but usually I understand you need reservations. It's not very big, they have also some tables outside, but no bar area.

Yelp
Pago is a magnificent restaurant. Artisanal, local sourced ingredients, and well crafted plates are buttressed by friendly and quality service. It's nestled in the popular 9th and 9th neighborhood in Salt Lake City and it sets the bar high. It's a quaint and relatively small restaurant with a cross between rustic and upscale. To start we ordered a bottle of wine and the artisan cheese. Three local cheeses, fresh jam, pickles, spicy carrots, crackers, berries and crostini bread make a delightful companion for a glass of wine. Things only got better with the entrees. Pago has been around for well over a decade and the menu is ever changing, though 1 item has remained constant: the Pago Burger. What a burger! It's savory and juicy. There's a reason it's been around this long. Fries are also worth a mention. The salmon is perfectly cooked with tender veggies and a delicious light sauce. The pork belly is really thick bacon, but better. Finally the NY Strip is solid, not Chicago steakhouse good but hey, not many places can be that good. While the steak is a minus, the crispy potatoes and sautéed red bell pepper and onions that accompanied it make up for it. Overall, it's a magnificent restaurant that locally sources its ingredients and delivers great service. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation, you won't regret it.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Always a superb experience here! They have quality dishes made with local ingredients. Things on their menu come and go as it is changed throughout the seasons :)

Yelp
Thank you Logan for being a fabulous server! This spot was on point from beginning to end! So many amazing dishes! The mushrooms and lentils was a fun combo. Little gem salad super light and bright and the addition of popcorn was very unique. My chicken schnitzel was AWESOME! Hello juiciness and that accent of hot honey is always a good idea. Loved me mustard and dill spatzel to complement it. Everyone raved about their dishes. And the caramel gelato was the perfect close to the meal. Such a great meal!

Yelp
I met my friend for brunch here, and I certainly wasn't disappointed by the flavors of their croque madame! We showed up at 11:30AM on a Sunday, and we were able to be seated immediately. If you want guaranteed outdoor seating, book it in advance, because our hostess said the outdoor tables tend to fill up pretty quickly. (Within 30 minutes of sitting down, the outdoor patio was filled to capacity) Our server was sweet and she did a fairly decent job in checking in with us throughout our meal. Service seemed slow, but we didn't mind too much, as we had a ton to catch up on. I ordered the croque madame with an over-medium egg on top instead of the sunny side up that normally comes with it. This was one of the tastiest croque madames that I've ever had! Granted, I haven't tried that many, but out of the few I have, this one takes the cake. It was creamy, the bread was buttered to perfection, and everything was seasoned fantastically. The breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfectly soft in the middle. Everything was beyond delicious. My only negative would be that the food seemed a tad bit overpriced. Despite my croque madame tasting wonderful, it was $17 with tax. There was a different menu item which was simply eggs, vegetables and breakfast potatoes that cost the same as my croque madame, at $17 w/ tax. However, this is a nice brunch spot in a trendy area of Salt Lake City, so I'm not surprised at the pricing being a little higher. All in all, I would absolutely come back for the croque madame, but only on rare occasions when I feel like paying nearly $20 for a fancy ham, egg and cheese sandwich.

Yelp
This was my second time to Page this weekend and we had such a wonderful experience here from start to finish. Our server, I believe her name was Sophia, was wonderful and made our experience so lovely. We started out with the Table X bread, which wasn't on the menu, but our server mentioned it and I remembered having it the last time I came. The Table X sourdough is some of the best sourdough either of us had ever had. Definitely order it! It comes out steaming hot with a delicious warmed herb butter. Drooling over here just thinking about it. A friend recommended that we get the mushrooms appetizer. They have French onion creme fraiche, beluga lentils, and crispy shallots and we were literally licking the plate and trying to get every last bite they were so good. Who knew mushrooms could be prepared so deliciously?! I got the Caccio e Pepe and it was phenomenal. Perfectly creamy and delicious, I ate every last bite. My partner got the Pago burger which is the star of their menu. He said it was the best burger he's had. At first, he wasn't sure if he wanted to order it because he said he can get a burger anywhere, but he was so glad that he did. It came with truffle fries, which I also ate many of. You can't go wrong with truffle fries! I got two drinks - their "Draper Mom" with vodka, hibiscus, honey, and lemon I believe. It was wonderful and not too sweet. I also ordered their gin and tonic with a house made lemongrass tonic. It was so delicious and the lemongrass was a nice touch. We went all out and finished with their peanut butter cheesecake with a house made graham cracker crust. We were so stuffed we had to take it to go and ate it later that night. Everything was amazing. Such a quaint, cozy, wonderful experience. Reservations are definitely needed on the weekends as this place fills up quickly. Can't wait to come back!

Jaclyn L.

Yelp
The servers were very kind and attentive. The space was a little tight but they made it look nice. The cheeseboard was good, sourdough bread was fine. I got the rigatoni and my boyfriend got the stroganoff; we were both pleased with the meals. The pesto was the best part of mine. The meatballs had a spice that threw me off a bit. The pasta was made in-house and deliciois

Yelp
Pizza was really above my expectations. The food was also delivered quickly. I didn't have high hopes for the place since Sedona has been a hit or miss but this place did not disappoint.

Calvin J.

Yelp
Love it impressive, attractive crowd, menu is inventive and delicious. If you want to score points with a date, this is a pretty good place to do it. romantic, refined, intimate, and obsessive with the details. What they're doing here is very personal and it shows. Great way to impress a potential business partner also. All the food is from local vendors. Pretty cool. It is a very unique and singular experience in the Salt Lake Valley. Like a Haute Couture meal!

Delaney T.

Yelp
Despite a good location and some nice flavors, Pago is an overpriced restaurant with poor service and an untrustworthy kitchen. I ordered the salmon which was dry. It was served with some type of greens that were so charred and ashy I couldn't eat them. My partner got the stroganoff and he was content with it, but the food and experience were definitely not worth the cost. It took over 10 mins for a server to introduce himself/herself to our table and offer drinks. The food took over an hour to arrive to the table. Our reservation began at 7, and we did not leave until 9.... Weird vibes overall, and we won't be going back.

Isaac R.

Yelp
I had brunch at this place, and the food was amazing! The French toast was delicious. The place looks nice and clean. One thing that we disliked was the host; she was really aggressive, not helpful, and rude. My concerns were that she was going to be our waitress, but good thing she wasn't; our waitress was the opposite and so friendly.

Gretel T.

Yelp
2.5/5 I had been to Pago years ago (on main?) and it was a much better experience. Not sure if this has something to do with Covid and inflation... The salmon was cooked nicely but it was paired with cheap ingredients (corn kernel and peas) which made the price point not as reasonable. More importantly the whole dish was cheapened. The corn and peas were already mushy in texture then the whole bottom part of the dish was also swimming in liquid which was a confusing decision or glaring mistake. Flavor was ok - nothing inventive just like something i can make in my kitchen The rotolo was probably the best thing that evening. My friend enjoyed it but was still hungry afterwards. Local mushroom was good but again, no variation of textures or flavors. I appreciate simple cooking done right but this is just not very interesting.

Chantel H.

Yelp
The menu at Pago is a testament to their commitment to using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. As a food enthusiast, I greatly appreciated the emphasis on sustainability and the farm-to-table concept. Each dish showcased the finest flavors and showcased the creativity of the talented chefs. To start, I indulged in the roasted beet salad, which was a work of art on a plate. The vibrant colors of the roasted beets, mixed with the tangy goat cheese and the crisp arugula, created a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The combination of textures and the balance of flavors were absolutely spot-on. For the main course, I opted for the pan-seared sea bass. It was perfectly cooked, with a delicate crispy skin that gave way to tender, flaky flesh. The accompanying cauliflower puree and roasted Brussels sprouts added a delightful earthy element to the dish. Every bite was a revelation, and I savored each mouthful. Throughout the evening, the service at Pago was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. They ensured that my dining experience was smooth and enjoyable, paying attention to every detail. In addition to the fantastic food and service, Pago's commitment to sustainability and supporting local farmers is commendable. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a memorable dining experience with friends, Pago is the place to be.

Dave R.

Yelp
Came here for dinner at a clients suggestion the other night, and glad we did! First off, the neighborhood is awesome- lots of people out and about enjoying a springtime evening. The restaurant was great as well - with a great beer selection as well. He had some type of salad that looked great for starters, and I went right for the Stroganoff which was excellent. Overall a great venue and I will definitely return!

Andrea R.

Yelp
We got a table on the patio here for brunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was a perfect day for outdoor eating and I was brought here by a friend who raved about Pago. Only one of us had a cocktail - the spicy bloody - but it tasted like a Caesar - with clamato juice instead of bloody mix. I could be wrong but if I am, it was very horseradish heavy. We enjoyed the coffee and ordered both the appetizers: Pumpkin bread with burrata: this was the perfect combination of savory and sweet and the burrata and olive oil complemented the pumpkin perfectly. My only ask - it would have been nice if the edges of the bread were crunchier, to contrast the creaminess of the burrata. Pickled strawberries with goat cheese and beets: ah-mahz. So delicious and unique! We also ordered four entrees - The special: short ribs and a fried egg over their brunch potatoes. Eh...it was REALLY heavy and greasy. It needed an element of freshness to brighten it up. This was the case with most of the dishes, TBH. The curried fried rice with trout: delicious! again, it was heavier than I'd like. Kale caesar with trout added: same - very good but even though I ordered "easy dressing" it was still heavy. The trout (albeit a bit oily) was perfectly cooked. Croque Madame: heavy bread, heavy sauce, fatty bacon. This dish was a fail, even if it were in a southern kitchen where butter is the main ingredient in all dishes. The service was solid, albeit a bit of a delay when we needed her, because we were the only table outside.

Eden N.

Yelp
I went with my husband and parents about a month ago. We had great service, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My husband loved his dish. I had the burger, and it was also really tasty! Certain dishes were more flavorful than others, and the portions were on the smaller side, especially given the price. I know it's a farm-to-table restaurant, so that is understandable. I would definitely go back, but based on the prices, I would save it for a special occasion.

Hallie M.

Yelp
I had promised to find a nice restaurant for a long overdue date night, and after reading many reviews I picked Pago on 9th and 9th. I was a little nervous looking at the prices hoping the ambiance and experience would be worth it, but it was! Our server was lovely. The food and cocktails were divine. At first I felt like the pace of service was slow but I realized it created a luxurious meal with lots of time to chat and enjoy the food. The vibe was great, not formal but still felt very "special occasion." We had a great time and each decided that we couldn't pick a favorite item because all the food was so delicious.

Tom N.

Yelp
love this place! come here all the time with my kiddos. super lucky to have this place apart of our community. glad to support a local business

Ashley P.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying Pago! This has been on my to try list for far too long. The restaurant itself is small and is a great place for a nice quiet dinner, perfect for date night or a nice night out with friends. They also have a little patio which would be great now that the weather is getting nicer! It wasn't too busy the night we went, we did have a reservation. I think it wouldn't hurt to make one if you want to go, as I'm sure this place gets pretty busy. Now to the food! The drink menu had quite a few options. Lots of wine options, and the cocktails sounded great. The food menu is small, but there is plenty of variety. We started with the table X sourdough which came with an herbed butter. The bread was hot and so so good. For entrees we did the Sausage Rotolo and the Short Rib. When we ordered the Rotolo our server lit up and said it was her favorite dish. And it did not disappoint! I had the short rib, and it was one of the best dishes I've had in quite a long time. The short rib was cooked perfectly! The potato and poblano hash was delicious! And all around a 10/10 on this dish.

Ria H.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here. The food was amazing. We shared the burrata which was great. I had the salmon and it was one of the best things I have had. The service was also great. We will definitely go back.

Tricia C.

Yelp
The food, service, wine, and recommendations were all 10/10. We were on date night and managed to snag 2 seats without a reservation, but definitely suggest making a reservation (and we will going forward). We've been Utah residents for a little over a year and this was probably our favorite meal so far! We will absolutely be coming back.

Meg M.

Yelp
Fantastic!! New favorite in town. Cant believe I've never gone before. The current fall seasonal menu is soooo good. All cozy warm interesting fall flavors. We had the burrata, salmon, and apple crumble.

Channing M.

Yelp
Came in for brunch on Saturday and luckily we were able to get reservations for a part of 4 on OpenTable. The restaurant was pretty tiny but super cute. The servers were all really nice and great about keeping our coffees filled while we waited for food. We got the eggs benedict and the egg dish (I was luckily able to get my eggs made overeasy vs scrambled but that is because the chef had enough time for the special request). The eggs were pretty small but my guess is that is because they are farm to table vs grocery store eggs. The veggies were super fresh and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. It was a truly lovely meal in a great location with incredible staff! We cannot wait to go back to try lunch and dinner!

Allison D.

Yelp
Pago is an amazing farm to table spot. The menu changes seasonally so it's always fun to stop in each season and see what new dishes they've added. They have a very well thought out wine menu & very knowledgeable staff. It's a small cozy place great for a date night or small gathering.

Eean T.

Yelp
The food is solid! I had the burger after my first dish wasn't good. The service was great! Also, had the ice cream dessert which was really delicious!

Janae I.

Yelp
I took my husband here for his birthday. He had been wanting to try it. I'll be honest and say the menu felt limited and adventurous for me, personally. But I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. I really liked the beet appetizer. My burger was also delicious. Unfortunately, I had asked for it well done (I'm expecting), and it came out with some pink, so I had to send it back which I always feel bad about. Our server took it really well. We had some struggles flagging down our server when we needed something, and didn't get checked on much throughout our meal. I'm writing a lot of these kinds of struggles off to the post-COVID staffing struggles. Overall, we really enjoyed Pago and would definitely come back.

Christine C.

Yelp
I had made reservations, and when I arrived, they sat me at a wonderful table by the window. It was my birthday, and they really made it special. The service was exceptional, and the food was even more exceptional. High quality food, and extremely fresh I would highly recommend this place. The ambience was super nice.

Carla F.

Yelp
Visited Pago for lunch on a Saturday. We made a reservation on Open Table so seating was easy. They were pretty full. FYI street parking is available. It's a cute restaurant and a nice place for a brunch or dinner date. It was our first time here for lunch/brunch so the server made recommendations to help - she said their burger was the best she's had and the salmon kedgeree had a unique/tasty flavor. We went with both and it didn't disappoint! The burger here is really juicy and the brunch potatoes is a must order. The salmon kedgeree was a curry fried rice with smoked salmon, which was a good new dish for me. Overall, great experience and food!

Christine H.

Yelp
My first time in SLC & this was such a great dinner spot! Local & intimate atmosphere, exposed brick, & great vibes inside! Immaculate service as well as these two delicious plates shared below!

Jake M.

Yelp
David was our server and our yum yums were well presented. The well preserved building contains and expresses many right angles. There was a mistake, but it was accounted for and everyone seemed ta be enjoying themselves both in and within the great outdoors.

Hayley M.

Yelp
Loved the food! Service was really good, our waitress gave us really good recommendations. Their brunch is top notch and it's so cozy and cute!

Kimberly B.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants. Seasonal menu that changes often. If the compressed watermelon salad is on the menu, get it! Lots of flavor and nice presentation. Very reasonably priced as well. Service is very attentive. Ambiance-great walkable area. Parking can be a challenge sometimes.

Neil Y.

Yelp
Absolutely horrific service if there had been service at all! Made reservations and arrived on time. Seated promptly then....ghost town. Literally zero interaction from staff for 20 minutes; and there were only 6 other people seated inside. We were also seated inside with 5' of kitchen. There were 5-7 wait staff in front of the kitchen at all times. TOTALLY oblivious to customers, moving around like they had nothing to do. As our frustration grew, 3 different people came in from outside to complain that they were not receiving service either. As we got ready to walk out, our waitress Emma came and took our order. She was polite but well aware that we (and everyone else) were being ignored and she couldn't care less. In all, it was 50 minutes to be served! But that's nothing compared to what happened next. Our bill was brought to us with a mandatory 20% service fee!!! Emma should fine another line of work, like watching paint dry- probably be too much for her though. Pago on the other hand, should just close up shop. You folks epitomize all that is wrong in the industry today. Best comparison- dumpster fire. Stay away from this establishment.

Peter Q.

Yelp
Delicious. Great service. Reasonable prices. Unique dishes. Best desserts. Quiet. Bread was the best!

Ryan G.

Yelp
We were seated in their outdoor patio. It was nice a nice and warm area as it is currently winter and nighttime but we didn't have any problems with that at all. Our waitress however didn't come and talk to us for around 20 minutes and when she finally came to us she just went straight into asking what we wanted to drink and eat.. She also showed no personality and barely felt like she was paying attention to us as she just said the bare minimum that she's supposed to and maybe even less. This is important because towards the end of our stay more people were sat down in our area and their waiter explained the menu as well as made suggestions while being very VERY lively for his table. They were also served way quicker than us and were actually attended to. Now on to the food.. I ordered the Short Rib Stroganoff and it was pretty tasty and saved this review from being a 1 star! I wouldn't recommend going here but maybe it was just our waitress who ruined the experience for us. Update: We we're contacted about this and given a gift card for our troubles! We will be heading back for sure, I have updated my score as well as I do believe it was just a bad night for the waitress.

Kaitlyn A.

Yelp
~ gluten-free review ~ I was stopping in Salt Lake City to visit a friend on my way through Utah and we ended up finding a last minute reservation at Pago. I would say this is the perfect spot for a date night, dinner out with friends, or a nice meal with family. The staff was so incredibly kind and helpful throughout the experience and did not rush us at all. The drink I ordered was so bright and citrusy which was just what I was looking for. We split the strawberry and beet salad which was very interesting in the flavor and textures but delicious all the same. I finished off my meal with the short rib which had a delicious sauce (definitely recommend)!

marin c.

Yelp
AMAZING after ski dinner. Great flavors in a super cool atmosphere with an amazing server, would defiantly recommend to anyone in the area!

Matthew S.

Yelp
One star for the space, one star for how the food tasted. Minus four stars for service. We had a reservation at 6:30 and were promptly seated. There were maybe 3 tables inside and the patio was busy. The girl that came seated us asked if we wanted water. Ten minutes later the server brought it. We ordered a pre dinner cocktail for myself and wine for our other guest. We started with the goat cheese toast. (VG) Table X sourdough, apple butter, fennel, watercress, olive oil, lemon. It was exceptional. My only problem. It took 50 minutes to arrive. The server only came by once at about 45 minutes and the shock on his face was palpable. I think he forgot to ring in our food. Idk. Then he asked about any additional items. We then got the winter wedge (steamed cabbage) and the squash and burrata. Both were wonderful. The winter wedge was well cooked and the blue cheese on the side was a perfect mixture of profiles. Picture provided I got the squash and burrata. Although it was good. I definitely won't order again. The squash was terribly undercooked and it didn't stand out like the other dishes. Our server would know that if he ever came back. Like ever. It had been an hour and a half and we had a piece of toast and about 4-6 ounces of vegetables. We were starving. We wanted to leave soo bad. I put my card on the table before the check came out. So we sit for another 20 minutes. Server drops the check and doesn't notice my card already put on the edge of the table. So I put my card in. Felt like forever at this point. We've been at "dinner" for two hours and have barely eat'n a thing. I left 20 percent out of moral understanding. Not for a job well done.

Yelp
I have eaten at Pago for years and it truly is the best restaurant in salt lake. Their service and kindness is just as amazing as their WONDERFUL food. If you're seeking a place that is just ALWAYS consistently phenomenal then as they say in Utah, "this is the place."

Yelp
Came to Pago for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. Had a good experience overall. The food was delicious. We ordered the kale salad, poutine, salmon and the burger. The kale Cesar salad was awesome. Loved loved the sunchoke chips, and PLEASE get it with the anchovies. Don't be afraid of anchovies! Remember that Cesar salad is based off anchovies. That's what gives it the umami. The potato poutine was so well balanced and delicious. I've always wanted to try sun chokes and I loved it. Loved the pickled Fresno's for jsut the right amount of heat. Delicious gravy. Very well balanced I got the Pago burger and it was much more complex than I expected. My burger was undercooked (more rare than medium rare) so I didn't eat as much of it - but it was yummy. Definitely not a "light" burger. The black garlic aioli added just the right amount of complexity. The fries were perfectly cooked and yummy. I didn't ask them to remake it cause I was so full at that point I didn't want to waste the food. The salmon was so well balanced. So yummy and perfectly cooked with the skin so crispy. The sunchoke was delicious and the Sambal provided the perfect kick. My biggest complaint - it was soooo cold. And I'm usually not cold. But cold enough I couldn't take my jacket off - it was a cold night but I was just surprised it wasn't slightly warmer in the restaurant.

Yelp
If I were rating individual dishes, I would give the pumpkin bread with burrata five stars. We weren't sure what to expect from this but it was surprisingly delicious and I will absolutely be recreating it. Spicy-sweet pumpkin bread that seemed like it had been lightly toasted in a pan topped with a layer of cool, creamy burrata, salt, pepper, drizzle of olive oil. So good. For my main I had the Pago breakfast which was simple but well done. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the eggs were eggs, but the vegetables perfectly sautéed in lots of garlic and citrusy oil were the star of the plate. They were tender-crisp and fresh and a very welcome addition to a standard breakfast. I don't really have any complaints about the food but I wasn't crazy about the vibe/ambiance. Nothing super offensive about it, just kind of meh. Some new décor/furnishings could elevate the atmosphere to match the food.

Yelp
Super impressed with Pago.... Had a reservation on a busy cold night and when arrived found out it was outside patio. Fortunately after a bit of a wait, they accommodated us inside. Being inside was important and outside dining during SLC winter would be non-starter for me personally. Meet and cheese tray was outstanding. Spanish Bodegas Asenjo & Manso A&M Tempranillo recommended by owner was excellent. Service was informed, pleasant and attentive. Dinner, stripped bass and short ribs were very good. I will be back!

Yelp
Came here with my friends for dinner. We ordered the charcuterie and the squash and burrata to start. The charcuterie was great and had so many different things to try. I thought the squash was also really tasty and I loved the burrata on it. I ordered the Bolognese for my main dish and I thought it was really flavorful. The server was so nice and helpful and gave good recommendations. Definitely would return for a nice dinner.

Yelp
We read about Pago in the NYTimes and wanted to try this farm-to-table dining spot. We were excited that they had an outdoor patio that we could safely distance ourselves from the other patrons. When we arrived, we were the only ones there, though it quickly filled up. Luckily, everyone was masked and sitting 6 feet away. We asked the waitress to share her recommendations and ordered the following: - burrata and Thai seasoned zucchini - crispy pickled and fried green beans with an apricot preserves - pork-chop with creamy polenta Everything was delicious! I would recommend coming here to dine at their patio or get take out. The cocktails were just the only things that were just okay, everything else was outstanding!

Yelp
Heard great things about Pago from a foodie friend a while ago and have been wanting to try them out--verdict? It didn't disappoint. Steak dish was good but scallops had so much more flavor and deliciousness. We got talked into trying an off menu pork dish and didn't like it. The server said they're testing it out before putting it on the main menu--so... owner/manager, if you read this, listen to me and don't put that pork dish on the main menu. Tried the Gucci fancy ass wine from Washington ($35 for 5oz glass) and liked it but unsure if the price is justified.
