"There are many delightful ways to eat crab roe at Xie Bao, but this silky, comforting dish—served with wood ear mushrooms, vinegar, pickled vegetables, and a soy egg—is our favorite. The sauce is the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and creamy, and the noodles have a lovely chew." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah

Their jjajangmeyon is phenomenal! I love the flavor and the amount of meat and veggies were in there. For $10.95, you get a lot of food! Their fried chicken was okay. $9.95 for 5 chicken wings and I wasn’t too impressed with the flavor. But it was still delicious nonetheless! Food came out hot and fresh and I would come again 100%! The workers were very nice and kind! Very authentic tasting! Highly recommend coming here •͈ᴗ•͈

April 2025 Came here for some carry out noodle. Looks like a busy place and with many traffic. Quick service and reasonable pricing. Will love to return to try other menu items. April 2025 Decided to revisit this restaurant and dine in. Very tasty soup noodle and good portion size. We will love to revisit this restaurant. Recommended highly.

Google
I had this place on my list to try spicy jjajangmyeon and the texture was perfect but I really wish it was spicier! They do offer sriracha and gochugaru to add additional spice. But what I wasn’t expecting was their Korean fried chicken to be so flavorful and the perfect crisp!

Google
July 2025 - jjampong & mandoo. Mandoo was of bibigo variety from h mart. I’d skip all side and special menu and stick with jjampong and jjajang. This is a serviceable place if you must have korean/chinese.

Google
Self-service restaurant with optional kiosk available! This place can be a hit or miss. I've been here many times over several years, and the food quality seems to be inconsistent. For my most recent trip, I ordered a jjamppong, and it was very disappointing. I'm still giving this restaurant 4 stars because sometimes the food can be good- especially the fried sweet and sour pork and jajangmyeon. For my most recent visit, the jjamppong inside the food court at Hmart Plano was better. Here, there was barely any seafood (no shrimp, small tiny pieces of squid, and 2 mussels), and overall it just wasn't very good.

Google
This is a Korean Chinese restaurant that opens on Wednesdays. The jjambbong was a little better, but the jjajangmyeon was pretty good too. The taste here is much better than the branches on the West Coast. However, when I first entered the restaurant, I hesitated a little because of the bathroom smell. The bathroom itself was clean. There were a lot of people eating lunch, and the amount of food was appropriate. My order came out a little late, but the staff personally served me and apologized for the delay, which I appreciated. The dumplings were a little lighter than those sold in stores, and they were fried well.

Google
This seems to be the only place near H-Mart that serves Jajangmyeon! A friend recommended it, and it exceeded my expectations. The Jajangmyeon was perfectly seasoned, not overly sweet or salty. The sweet and sour pork was amazing as well, staying crispy for a surprisingly long time and pairing wonderfully with the noodles. Since it's a self-service, there’s not much to comment on regarding service, but the space was super clean, the staff were quick to clean up after guests. Even with a crowd, the wait time wasn't too long. Definitely planning to come back!

Google
10/10!! Pictured: Chili jajangmyeon (deliciously spicy), jajangmyeon (to die for), sweet & sour pork (insanely good and also has sauce that comes with it). Servings were hearty and filling! There was so much extra black bean sauce that we had to order rice to finish it off. Definitely recommend & definitely coming back!!

Yelp
My fav restaurant for jjangmyun! I always get the jangban jjangmyun because it has more veggies and seafoods, but it is a 2 person portion. Tangsuyuk is a must there too it's crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside (just thinking about it is making my mouth water again lol). The jjampong is also good too. The pricing is very reasonable and portions are very big too! I always take it to-go. Service is super quick and usually you don't even need to tip since it's self service. The restaurant has limited amount of seats, so it can be really busy if you go during lunch time or dinner time during the weekends or holidays. Recommend going on weekdays!

Yelp
This place pleasantly surprised me! The menu is a little limited but they specialize in what they offer. The jajangmyeon was my favorite. The jjampong is a little spicy but I can't handle too much spicy. They have a kiosk where you can order so it's pretty fast and they just call your number when it's ready. The portions are definitely share size so they have little to-go bowls on the side that you can use. There are plenty of tables but it was pretty busy around lunch time. Also keep in mind the restaurant has an hour break between 3-4pm!

Yelp
the inside was ordinary, nothing special, very typical local asian restaurant vibes. the food was good though, we got the jajangmyeon and the tangsukuk (which was my personal favorite) very flavorful pairs well together.

Yelp
This is another restaurant in Carrollton owned by the Korean celebrity chef Paik Jong Won. Paik's is my favorite place in DFW for jjamppong, or Korean spicy seafood noodle soup. They also serve lots of other Korean-Chinese classics like sweet and sour pork, jjajjangmyeon, jjajjang rice, etc. They are only open until 8PM so keep that in mind! (4.5/5) Gochu Jjamppong This is their extra spicy version of jjamppong which includes extra peppers. As a spicy food lover, this makes me so happy and the flavor of the broth is always on point. Also, they STACK the soup with so much vegetables and meat (pork & seafood) . (4/5) Bokkeummyeon This is their stir fried noodle cooked with shrimp, pork, green beans, and assorted vegetables. It's on the sweeter side and taste like teriyaki noodle with amazing noodle texture.

Yelp
I was in the area, and was craving some Jjajangmyeon (noodles in blackbean sauce). I called to order for a pick up, and it was very quick. It took less then 10 minutes or so, for them to prep the food. Can't comment on the service, as i took it to go. But honestly, for the ~$12 bucks for the Jjajangmyeon, i think its a great deal. The flavor was really good. For to go order, they pack the noodles and blackbean sauce in separate containers. They also provide you some yellow pickled radish. I think one order is definitely enough for one person. It definitely hit the spot and next time i'm in the area, i'll be back. This is located right next to H-mart.

Yelp
Paik's noodles is one of the best places in DFW to get black bean noodles (Jajangmyeon). You always have to get their Tangsuyuk and Jjamppong to go along with it. Their new fried chicken is really good! It has a sweet, little spicy soy flavor. Inside they have a kiosk machine so service is really fast. Quick place to get lunch or dinner. Everything is self-service and they clean up pretty fast too.
google avatar

Yelp
The jjajangmyun was way too sweet for my liking. The jjamppong was better, but I still found it to be... a bit bland? Like it was missing something.

Yelp
It's a very chill spot for a nice lunch/dinner bite. Busy every time I come in town for a craving fix! They are clean and organized! The man in the front is always so nice and polite. Took my order very fast and gave me my number. The best JJajangmyeon (black bean noodle) i ever have, and you must try tangsuyook (fried sweet sour pork) with it. Best combination together, and it's like a burst of fireworks inside your mouth. The black bean sauce is savory, perfect seasoning with meats and vegetables in it, plus fresh delicous noodles. The fried porklet is crispy and tender. Love their sweet and sour sauce. Highly recommend. Always consistently good food and decent prices for big portion. I ordered 2 bowls of jjajjangmyeon and tangsuyook that feed 5 people!

Yelp
My cousins and I went out for dinner during my last day in Dallas at Paik's noodle in Carrollton. This noodle shop is owned my a famous Korean celebrity chef. We ordered multiple orders of jajangmyeon (black bean noodle) and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). I had the jajangmyeon many times in the past but this was my first time trying the tangsuyuk. The jajangmyeon comes with a cup of radishes, which provide some crunch and sweetness. There's a self serve station with utensils, bowls, water, scissors to cut noodles, and sauces like vinegar and chili flakes. Definitely add the vinegar and chili flakes to the jajangmyeon because they improve it a lot. The noodles were as good as I remember, they soak up the black bean sauce really well. I really liked the pork as well. They were fried to a perfect crisp, allowing it to soak up the sweet and sour sauce as well.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Didn't really enjoy it here as the tangsuyuk sauce was way too sweet which was disappointing because the pork itself was well fried. The black bean noodles were also too sweet. The jjamppong was probably the best dish out of the 3 but still nothing remarkable either.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting Paik's Noodle. It is nice and clean small restaurant. It is self serve restaurant. There is a very small counter and there is a kiosk. If you are placing your order with cash, you place your order with person at the counter but if you are using credit card, you place your order using the kiosk. The restaurant has small menu...very few items. I ordered fried potstickers and Ja jang myeon noodle. The potstickers were well fried but I did not like the filling. I would not order the potstickers again. The Ja jang myeon noodle was delicious. Whenever I am in mood for Ja jang myeon noodle again, I would come back.

Yelp
We were SURPRISED but in a good way. Food is phenomenal, simple but delicious. Most Korean dishes are not as spicy so when we ordered the chili jajangmyeon we weren't expecting much but boy were we wrong. The chili kicked in on our first bite, and it paired perfectly with the onions and black bean noodles. Words can't say enough how delicious this was. The sweet and sour pork??? YUMMY. This made us feel like we were in Korea enjoying this meal. Family friendly place to eat lunch or dinner.

Missy L.

Yelp
They were rude and very blunt. They really need to learn how to treat customers. I drove a long way to try their food, and honestly, I'm not impressed at all. The worst part was how blunt and unfriendly they were. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends, and I definitely won't be coming back.

Yelp
As a franchise, it's pretty good, even despite it being packed into a koreatown plaza in Carrollton with an abundance of Korean food options everywhere. The food is fairly priced (especially the Jajangmyun, black bean sauce noodles). Aside from that, dish we also ordered the Tangsuyuk (crispy deep-fried pork), which came with a thick savory-sweet-sour veggie dipping sauce. It was okay; the sauce had a rather interesting taste, but it became somewhat one-note as we ate through the platter of batter. The jajangmyun was the star of the show. A single bowl fed both of us for lunch, and it was only about $10. After mixing it well, I felt the dish was simple, yet savory. If you've had the Chinese version, I'd say the Korean black bean sauce noodle is thicker and with a more subdued flavor. Use the pickled radish (danmuji) to cut the taste. My wife called it Korean fast food and I'd probably take this any day over McDonalds (no disrespect of course).

Yelp
No frills place located in K-Town Carrollton! My mom and I decided to visit since we were craving Jjajangmyeon! This place had great reviews, so we tried it out! We ordered at the counter: 2 Jjajangmyeon & 1 serving of tangsuyuk! Prices are reasonable, and our food arrived quickly. The reason for my 3 stars is for the quality of our Jjajangmyeon that day. It was MUCH runnier than we are used to (see the picture and how much liquid-y it is), thus making the flavor very diluted and sauce be watery. My mom didn't even finish hers since it didn't satisfy. However, we did like the tangsuyuk. It was cooked perfectly and crunchy! The sauce had great consistency and flavor. That was the redeeming dish of the experience . We probably won't go back again, but I'm glad we at least got to try it!

Yelp
Hungry for some jja jang myun, jampong, and tang su yuk so I called up Paiks Noodle. A place that is not eat off my fingers but still satisfying enough. Or so I thought. I wondered after tasting if this place also enrolled in the "who is the owner" game that seems to be common with Korean restaurants? Apparently it did. The flavor and food is really lacking. The taste was bad for all 3 items I ordered so I guess they are consistent across their menu items. So why did I think it was not even fast food worthy? 1. Jja jang myun - used to have way more pork and richer taste. This tasted like very diluted bean paste mixed with flour. Did I mention pork? Oh, and there was very little pork. 2. Jjam pong - the meat in separate container was not usual jjam pong fried pork but some type of pork. It was dry. It tasted funny like old meat. It was not jjam pong but jjam bong-ya... 3. Tang su yook - again where was the pork. It was all breading. Total price $55. Ugh... Stars: 1 - Just go on a fast or eat dirt 2- Crazy hungry or someone else paying 3- Not bad and not great 4 - Yummy Yummy 5 - OMG! I ate my fingers too!

Yelp
Everything I've eaten here is very good. I've had almost everything on the menu and by far the best is the sweet and sour pork, black bean noodle, and spicy seafood noodle soup.

Yelp
This is a great place to get your Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong or Tangsuyuk Korean Sweet and Sour Pork Fix. We are regulars that keep Paiks in our routine Korean Cuisine Fix and we live 45mils away. We are a family that has no worries driving to satisfy our tummies. Service is always pleasant. Food comes out fresh and piping hot. Only dilemma now are you a dipper or pourer. Either way would retain the crispiness, we prefer the extra crunchy texture when dipping. Dipper family here ‍

Yelp
First time for me and my friend trying Jajangmyeon Noodles. It was good. Not what I was expecting. Kinda thought there would be more flavor for the amount of sauce. We will try another place to compare. The noodles do taste chewy and fresh. The Tangsuyuk was alright. Very little meat vs the puff. The sweet and sour sauce was ok. Very light and watery. Not thick sauce like. Of course it was our first time trying these two dishes. So it may be how it's supposed to be but we don't know. They have a little water cooler station where you can get your own water. The pickled daikon is extra cost if you want more. They charge for to give containers as well.

Yelp
Had a craving for jjajjangmyun and jjampong so I decided to try out this place. I called ahead and ordered take-out and got their jjajjangmyun, jjampong, and tangsuyuk to go. Even through the 30 minute drive home, everything held up nicely until I was ready to enjoy my meal. The jjajjangmyun was really good and I liked how it doesn't have a super bitter black bean taste like some places I've tried before. I really enjoyed this dish! The tangsuyuk was also really good and the batter was light and crispy! The jjampong was pretty good, but wasn't my favorite thing that I ordered. I would probably skip this next time and stick with the jjajjangmyun and tangsuyuk. Overall, pretty good food and if I'm craving this again, I would return here.

Yelp
If you have a hankering for black bean sauce noodles or jajangmyeon THIS is the place to get it! We got the noodles to go, so excuse the poor presentation but the taste of the sauce on the noodles was amazing! You get so much sauce that you probably run out of noodles before you finish. You could probably eat this dish for two meals. We also got the Yang Su yuk or sweet and sour pork and that was lightly fried little morsels of pork with a tangy sauce with some veggies in the sauce. Wow, the textures and flavor, spot on. Order at the counter and you might have to wait about 10 minutes for your order to be made. The wait isn't long and we'll worth it! Staff super friendly and nice!

Yelp
Okay, since discovering this place about a month ago, I've been here 3 times. Twice to get the famous jajangmyeon with tangsuyuk, and once to try their jjampong. The jajangmyeon is one of the best ones I've tried. I feel like some other places it actually has a sweet taste, but this one is perfectly savory. I also like having the sauce for the tangsuyuk on the side and the portion is huge. And if you're really hungry, please order the jjampong (#5 extra spicy!) and try to finish it all! The bowl was huge and while it was a lot of broth, this place doesn't skimp on the veggies and meat/seafood in the soup. I'm also a huge fan of the employees because even though I don't speak Korean, they are always really nice and serves my food with a smile. The only downside is that to get a to go box, it cost extra. So I ended up trying to force myself to eat my giant bowl of noodle soup and ended up being so uncomfortably full. You can use their mini take out boxes that's been cut in half as a serving dish as a makeshift take out box, but it won't work for soup for obviously reasons.
google avatar

Yelp
Jja jang Myeon taste straight out of frozen package. Bland no flavor. The worst I had in my life.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
I'm usually not a fan of black bean noodles but this place has black bean rice! Basically a mountain of rice with a side of the black bean sauce and it's all covered in a massive egg omelette. AND comes with a side of a super flavorful seafood spicy soup! My girlfriend loves black bean noodles and she said this is one of the best she's ever tried. We also tried the deep fried pork - somehow super crispy and chewy at the same time. The sweet and sour sauce it comes with is so addicting as well. Definitely recommend - they have something for everyone here

Yelp
This is a chain brand with a real simple menu of Chinese Korean noodles. You can't beat their price point, either. They have the normal jjamppong and jjajangmyun. But, the reason I go back is for their Jaeng Ban Jjajangmyun (loosely translated to plate of jjajang). It's premixed and has a nice spicy kick to it that builds as you eat. This dish also has shrimp in it on top of the normal pork and veggies traditionally found in jjajangmyun. Their jjamppong isn't too spicy but it has that nice smoky wok flavor. They also have a white jjamppong (I believe it's their beef jjamppong on the menu) but I'm not a fan of it, as I like my spice. Like I said, their menu is simple and limited. A lot of things they used to have, like their chicken wings, they no longer serve. But, I do believe they still have some mandoo/fried dumplings on the menu. You order at the counter, utensils and water are self serve and they'll call out when the orders ready. Afterwards you are expected to clean up after yourself and take your tray and dishes back.

Yelp
Paik's noodle is the best place in the DFW area for jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk. The interior is very nice and quaint, and the staff friendly and helpful when deciding what you want and ordering. Their menu is small, they are experts and specialize in every dish they have. I've gotten the jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk multiple times from here, both for dine-in and to-go, and every time is it a 10/10. Consistently delicious, The tangsuyuk, sweet & sour pork, comes out nice, hot, and crispy and combines perfectly with the provided sweet & sour sauce. The jjajangmyeon noodles are perfectly bouncy and also has bits of onion and pieces of pork in every bite nicely coated in their amazing black bean sauce.
google avatar

Vania B.

Yelp
Amazing food and quick service as always. I got my usual jajangmyeon (black bean sauce and noodles) which was still great and can be a full meal for two people. This time I also ordered the tangsuyuk, sweet and sour pork. Love how it's crunchy, not too oily, and that they leave the sauce on the side so you can dip as much as you like!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
I've reviewed Paik's in Houston before, as it is a chain. And I've been to both the Dallas and Houston locations many times so I am definitely a fan of their food. Their menu is simple and concise because they choose to do the small number of entrees they do well. And it shows. I typically share a jjajang and a jamppong. And the deep fried pork (tangsuyuk) is just an added bonus on those special days. Their flavor is good, their portions generous. If you're looking for a reliable jjajangmyeon place, paiks is definitely it. The downsides that keep it from a 5 star: - the wait is always always long for some reason. They are very popular but I always do expect to wait for my food - I always hate it when they have the small styrofoam cups for water and stuff but that is the case here - they say they charge for to go boxes (unsure if they actually charge) - service is minimal Go for the food. Expect a wait. It's reliable!

Fiho L.

Yelp
Disappointing. Jajangmyeon had plenty of jajang (onions, cabbage, meat bits, etc.), which was great. But overall, the flavor was a tad too sweet. Still, on this alone, I'd rate 4 stars. BUT, tangsuyuk was borderline robbery. 80-90% fried batter (0 crisp, chewed like mochi) with ~15% meat by volume. I paid $15.45 to be served a generous guess of about $3 of actual pork. And even when there was meat, due to the chewy nature of the batter, you couldn't tell the difference between the two. Tangsuyuk was never this business's specialty, I get that. But it's somehow managed to get significantly worse than how it used to be when they first opened. Quite frankly, I'd be embarrassed if I sold that to someone. To even allow that to be given to a customer is a whole new level of bold.

Danny K.

Yelp
Food was good, service not so much. Asked for 2 extra bowls so my wife and I could share our food. I was told to use the small to go boxes in the corner.

Yelp
Jajangmyeon hit the spot. Would definitely come here for that again. I'd like to try their Jjampong next time as well. Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) on the other hand wasn't too pleasing on the palate. I normally love sweet and sour foods, but something about the sauce tasted off to me. Note - the address is wrong on Yelp, the location is right next to the north entrance of Hmart.

Yelp
We ordered Jjamppong and Jajangmyeon noodle for lunch. They are good! The spicy one is my most fav!!

Yelp
I can't believe it took me this long to try out this place, I've heard friends rave about it and it's AMAZING. We got the Jajangmyeon Noodle, Tansuyuk (fried pork with sweet dipping sauce) and Jjamppong noodles (super spicy version) and everything tasted fantastic. I saw these all had "popular" next to them on the menu and figured I can't go wrong. Came on a Sunday & there were lots of ppl, I could tell this is a popular spot. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
The new ownership is terrible, I asked them plz don't add any hot sauce to my noodles. The guy reply "it's can not be taken out." I reply "so you're telling me everything is already premade??" I saw the chef cooked my noodles and just squeezed a whole bottle of hot sauce onto my noodles. I just told the guy upfront, why did you tell me I have to go with the hot sauce!! The dude just said something in Korean and walked away......later I asked him can I get some more Korean radish. He just reply "you pay for it not free", dude......it's only one small portion of Korean radish why act this way to your paying customer

Yelp
Paik's Noodle is located inside the Carrollton Hmart plaza and it is an extremely popular chain in South Korea. Seeing it here in DFW, I knew I had to try. I ordered for takeout - a jjajangmyun (black bean noodles), tangsooyook (sweet & sour pork), dumplings and a side order of jjamppong soup. The total was around $35 so not bad at all. They said the food would take around 15 minutes to make so I decided to grocery shop at Hmart and Paris Baguette while waiting. After 15 min, I went in to pick up my food but one thing I noticed was that the AC was not working properly or something - felt very hot in the restaurant. I was taking out so that didn't bother me much. I got my food and came home to realize two things - the container that the soup was in was leaking - either it melted or they didn't package properly but I did not let that bother me. The dumplings were honestly the most disappointing. It was actually good, but they weren't the Chinese restaurant dumplings I was expecting -- felt like just fried Bibigo dumplings. The jjajangmyun and tangsooyook were pretty great! I must say, it wasn't as good as the Korean location and the location in LA, but the flavor was still flavorful and I really actually liked the jjajangmyun a lot. I will leave an updated review once I come back and dine in but overall, I was very pleased and I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Pretty good for being in the Us. Their black bean noodle and spicy seafood jjampong was good. Will be back

Yelp
This hidden gem always hits the spot when you're craving a bowl of jajangmyeon & jjampong! Their menu is very simple, but very diverse? They give the option of eating jajangmyeon and jjampong with either rice or noodles. The flavor is delicious and not lacking anywhere! The tangsuyuk is also very crispy and delicious! Beware the portions are huge! I would recommend ordering one bowl of each item so you can taste a little bit of everything while still being full. Always hits the spot when I'm craving a bowl of jjampong & jajangmyeon! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I usually go here after work and don't get off till 7pm, I arrived at 7:30p to place my order. The front staff told me that they were closed even when the sign said 8pm. Had I knew that, I would've called ahead or gone elsewhere but nowhere on the sign did it mention that. I understanding wanting to leave on time but it was just frustrating in the moment to drive all the way here only to be turned away. Next time I'll either call ahead, but for now I'm gonna take a break and get my craving elsewhere. Overall very disappointed experience.

Yelp
It was our first time there and we wanted to try a few things. The food is ok, especially for the price but unfortunately, we will not be returning due to their meteoker food and poor customer service. My husband wanted to try the jjajangmyun but saw they also had jjajangbap where they added a fried scrambled egg on top and we wanted to get the jjajangmyun with the egg on the side. They said they couldn't do this even though we were willing to pay extra. Not sure why? So we ordered the jjajangmyun anyway and also jjampong, and dumplings. Then we asked if we could have an extra small bowl as my husband and I wanted to share. They pointed to the styrofoam containers on the side (there were not even the ones for soup but the ones you would put regular food in). Both the man and lady at the front were rude in their delivery. The filling in the dumplings was tasteless, the jjampong only had a few pieces of squid in the soup and soup flavor was just ok. The jjajangmyun sauce had good flavor but not much pork. Won't be going back. If price is your concern go here. But if you want quality food and good service there are better places! (Dong Chun Hong)

Yelp
I've wanted to try tangsuyuk for a while and was glad to have found the place recommended on Yelp. The prices are great for their portion size. Their black bean noodles were good along with the fried pork (tangsuyuk) which was served with a sweet sauce. While I don't think I'd crave these dishes, the restaurant seems to be popular with locals and a family favorite.

Yelp
Lazy. Won't take card at the register. Only at the kiosk? Why even stand there at the register. Food over priced.

Yelp
This place is legit. I'm a fan! When you walk in and see it filled with all Koreans you know you've come to the right spot. I'm a noodle-aholic... There I've said it. I need me a fix for my cravings and hit this place up during one of my nom nom sessions. Oh man the noodles and soups here are wholesome and flavorful! This is one of those order up front type of places, then get a buzzer to notify you when the food is ready to pick up. Food: fantastic! + Jjajangmyeon: nice chewy noodles with a black bean sauce, little minced pork, and mushrooms. Overall flavors are nice and not too sweet or salty. Just right! + Beef Jampong: same nice chewy noodles but in a light beef broth. Just because it was light didn't mean it was flavorless though. If anything I think this had more flavor than the other noodles!! Nice and peppery!! Getting hungry just thinking about it. We'll be back.

Yelp
Always a solid place when we come to Dallas! Noodles are always fresh, sauce is good. Good spot for Jajangmyeon

Yelp
Only 3 stars for now. Food isn't great nor is it bad. Just ok but I eat there in light of few options. Issue I have is they wear masks and never cover entire face, and they don't wear gloves in the back. Touching doors, boxes, vegetables, and then they garnish your food. No no!

Yelp
No thrills or decor. Fast food style noodle shop. Flavor on point. Order at counter and self pick up when. Number called. Classic Korean Cuisine. Most favored: #1 noodles with seafood spicy soup: definitely carries heat. #3 noodles with black bean sauce: traditional noodle and flavor. Fair price. Come for food.

Yelp
If I think about childhood comfort food than I definitely think about the many times we used to eat jjajangmyun. And on a rainy cold day you crave comfort food and when yelping for a decent noodle restaurant, Pain's Noodle came up in my search. Their menu looked very promising as well as all their reviews. Yes, it is a chain and sometimes private owned restaurant taste better or make it with more fresh ingredient but I was hoping the name "Paik" (from a famous Korean chef "Paik Jong Won") might be a good sign that the food is good as well. We ordered three jjajangmyun, seafood noodles, tangsuyuk and fried mandoo. When I opened the boxes I thought for a moment that the portions are very small but don't be fooled by the size. It's actually a large portion and fills you up. I also appreciate that they give you a good amount of sauce to mix with your noodles. The sauce for my black noodles were solid (a good amount of meat and vegetables) it has a nice soy sauce flavor with the right amount of oil (without feeling too greasy). But the best was their tangsuyuk. The batter on my fried pork was still crispy and we like to dip our pork in the sauce instead of pouring it onto. The sauce had the right balance of sweet and sour and the texture was good too (not too watery or sticky). The only thing that was a little disappointed was the seafood noodles. Everything was a little bit overcooked and and dry. Could be because we ordered to go but all the other food items were still good so I was hoping that this would be tasty as well but I didn't like the seasoning (too sweet) and the seafood was chewy and overcooked. All in all a good place to stop by if you crave some noodle dishes!

Yelp
The best black bean noodle place I've found so far. I just don't like that the poor was dry and overcooked. Leaving 3 stars bc I came 30 min before close and they closed the register and I had to pay cash. What if I didn't have cash? Would they have given me the food? Lol

Yelp
Service is quick and steady! Grab my food and ate at the table. You clean after yourself and I usually order the black bean noodles with pork and fried dumplings!

Yelp
We tried the TANGSUYUK and we were enjoying our meal until a cockroach started crawling towards us. I then visited the restroom and noticed that everything in this restaurant was filthy to include the roof panels which had several brown panels. I would not recommend this place!
