We had a wonderful dinner at the Palais.The restaurant is homey cozy the staff were so wonderful. Charlie was especially so kind and friendly; he explained every detail of each dish. I had octopus for my appetizer and it was the best octopus I ever had! It was so tender and tasty, I will come back for this! We had a tuna, salmon, burger, and scallops. Every dish was amazing including the dessert. The restaurant has a bakery in front of restaurant which sells delicious pies and wonderful desserts. You should definitely check it out .We ordered the Christmas cake that was so cute and delicious. We will definitely order one this year too. Palais is the restaurant you should definitely go to eat in NYC. I can't wait to go back.

I decided to bring my two sons here on a Monday night to celebrate my oldest son's birthday & was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The food was absolutely wonderful. We ordered carpaccio of sea scallop (caviar, fennel & green apple), braised octopus & cavatelli pasta with vegetables & Parmesan to share. Sea scallop with caviar is heavenly good. We love octopus & to my surprise my boys ate everything even there are green beans, black olives & orange caper-raisin in the dish. It's their first time eating vegetables. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was excellent. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waiter. He has the right balance of friendliness & efficiency. It was a beautiful & relaxing night with my husband & my sons. The restaurant was exceptional along with the hosts & servers. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience at Palais by Perfect Pie! From the moment we walked in, warm greetings and hospitality from the owner and everyone on the staff (thank you McCabe!) to the beautiful display of edible art (those pastries! Those pies!) to the freshest most delicious berry tart and pie I’ve ever tasted. Had to hold back from ordering one of everything. Can’t wait to return for true afternoon tea in this jewel of a place, maybe even a birthday party in the private space. Simply exceptional.

I do not understand rave reviews. I visited a few weeks ago. The duck was terrible, impossible to chew. Salad is very simple, without sauce and dressing. The fish is overcooked, the desserts are completely ordinary. On Saturday evening, only three tables were occupied. For same money in New York you can find hundreds better restaurants. Service is good.

This place is absolutely amazing to say the least. As i walked in we were greeted and escorted upstairs to the rest of our group. The waitress was extremely nice and sociable. The place just opened so i didnt know what to expect at first, but i was extremely impressed with the lighting and level of cleanliness. I tried duck, tuna and Caviar as an appetizer. It was so fresh and flavorful. My main course was flanker steak, with fries. I couldnt believe how moist the steak was as i was cutting through... mouthwatering... i was not disappointed one bit... The Chef, Bill Yosses came up to greet our group... it was a very welcoming atmosphere... i will definitely make my way back when i feel like spoiling myself...

How fortunate for New York that Palais exists! Tucked away on East 61st Street, this brasserie/boulangerie earns 5 stars for its presence; the ambience, food, service and warmth of the staff making it a special experience. Hard to bypass the colorful and tasty pastry counter, so leave plenty of room in your appetite for these delicious treats. Palais is indeed a terrific experience for both heart and head...
