"Palmito on Western Road is so physically small that if you had to share this space with someone you loved for a full business week, it would probably result in a swift separation. But for a cachaća-infused evening amidst tasteful foliage, it’s perfect. The changing menu is like the travel itinerary for the gap year we never had—Peruvian ceviche, Mexican salsa macha, a distinctly Italian pistachio tiramisu—but the best dishes are the things that hint at the founder’s Ecuadorian roots. The tacos, whether filled with crispy local haddock and tomatillo salsa or tender birria pork primed for a dip in guajillo broth, rank as some of the best we’ve tried this side of the Atlantic. It’s popular, so be sure to book a couple weeks before your visit. " - heidi lauth beasley

"The plates are small and the flavours are big at this wonderful little neighbourhood restaurant. The style of the food is described as ‘spice driven’ and draws on multiple global cuisines across the selection of affordable dishes. The décor is simple and understated, but the cooking is bold and interesting, with an appropriate degree of care taken in the kitchen. Kick your evening off with a colourful cocktail, and make sure to end it with a delicious dessert." - Michelin Inspector

Fantastic all round. All the plates were tasty as heck. The mushroom tostada in particular. Would highly recommend. It’s a cosy, small place and the table by the window was the best spot for a couple. Staff were lovely and the cocktails were dreamy. Get in early and reserve a table!

Very cute little restaurant with super friendly staff and delicious food served on small plates. The sweetcorn was 👌🏻. I had a non alcoholic kombucha sangria that was super tasty. Pistachio tiramisu for dessert was also fantastic. First time but will go again.

I absolutely love the food, it was tasty and beautiful presentation. Nice atmosphere and good service. It's a cossy small place. I felt comfortable and enjoyed a lot eating alone between two lovely couples. Definitely I'm coming back.

Lovely little restaurant where you order dishes to share. We’ve had some amazing dishes and some not-so-amazing ones. Overall it was a nice experience but I missed a little bit the consistency between the dishes and the service. We were with three people and sometimes the waiter suggested to add ‘one more’ to a dish of two; that was great. But with other dishes they forgot and we had to split up two samosas into three. May well be back though.

What a cute little foodie joint in Brighton ! Rightly so on the Michelin guide too ..!! Went for lunch and had an awesome time/ everything was fantastic from service to food and to cocktails ! We had the aubergine / probably the best corn on the cob ever / delicious duck rice and lamb kebabs ( as shown in the photo ) Service was attentive and friendly and gave good recommendations…! Ambiance is of a cafe / so not on the side of fine dining if you are interested… Had pisco sours ( which were decent but probably not the best I have had ) Overall a great experience..! Budget- Meal for 2 is £120/- with couple of glasses of wine each Verdict - 5/5 For further information and more pictures and more foodie info please visit @s50ush

One of the best dining experiences in Brighton so far, delicious dishes, endless vegetarian options and amazing drinks! Can’t say a bad word about anything as me and my partner liked every single thing we ordered, absolutely loved the famous mushroom tostada, harissa cauliflower and chargrilled broccolis, and we both were very positively surprised with Parmesan sweetcorn and little beetroot croquettes! We have left very full and barely could finish pistachio tiramisu which was the softest and fluffiest thing ever! Like others said before I wish the place was a bit bigger and the tables set a little further apart but we still enjoyed ourselves so I’m overall happy. Definitely will be coming back for more!!!
