Where to Find the Best Pasta in Miami | Eater Miami

"Pane & Vino on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach offers comprehensive Italian dining under Sicilian-born chef GianPaolo Ferrera. Known for its handmade pastas, standouts include the cappelletti verdi tartufati (green cappelletti with truffle), spaghetti alla ruota (wheel cheese spaghetti), and paccheri con gamberi e pistacchi (paccheri with shrimp and pistachios). The restaurant’s cozy interior, adorned with rustic wood furniture and vintage photographs, completes the homey ambiance." - Eater Staff

Pane & Vino - Review - South Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Pane & Vino is located in one of the most touristy spots in South Beach, right at the entrance to Española Way. But one of the best things about this place is that it doesn’t act like a restaurant that caters exclusively to tourists. Pane & Vino actually makes an effort, serving solid pasta (which they make fresh in the restaurant’s front window) and other Italian dishes. The slightly cramped dining room is cute too—perfectly dim, a little romantic, and littered with tchotchkes that’ll give you something to look at if the conversation stalls. Pane & Vino will surprise (in a good way) your friends who are sick of South Beach. We still wouldn’t prioritize it over the nearby Macchialina, but it’s worth keeping in mind for a casual date night or whenever you’re strolling around South Beach craving a big slab of meaty lasagna." - Ryan Pfeffer

Fresh, handmade pasta that is absolutely outstanding. Every dish reflects true care and craftsmanship. Special thanks to my server, Ronnie, whose warmth, humor, and professionalism truly elevated the entire dining experience. The whole team was excellent. Highly recommended!!

Lovely Italian spot! We had pasta and tiramisu—both were delicious and felt very authentic. Our server, Pilar, was friendly and attentive and made the experience even better. Would definitely come back.

Pane e Vino is one of the most magical little places I’ve been to in a long time. The atmosphere is truly something special, soft candlelight, rustic décor, shelves full of wine bottles, and walls covered in the sweetest vintage details. It feels like stepping into a cozy Italian home. Our server, Pedro, was incredible. So kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. He made the whole evening even better. We enjoyed a great glass of wine, and the food was delicious, rich, comforting, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, talk, relax, and forget the world outside. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic, intimate, and beautifully designed spot. Can’t wait to come back.

Google
Best restaurant experience I’ve ever had! Pilar was absolutely amazing, coming from a hospitality standpoint you just can’t get any better than here. From even outside, the host kept us constantly informed on how long our table would take to be ready. From the start, Pilar was very helpful with recommendations and constantly making sure we were more than okay. Her recommendations on the pistachio pasta and the braised beef pasta were absolutely phenomenal. She even noticed my boyfriend was a lefty and put his utensils on the left side without it even being mentioned. She even put a little happy anniversary heart on our desert! Highly recommend, I will be coming back soon!!!

Google
A wonderful find on Española Way. Fresh pasta, outstanding service, cozy atmosphere, you can't ask for more. The biggest challenge when visiting Miami is figuring out which of the hundreds of excellent options to choose for dinner. Pane e Vino is one of those options and if you go here you will not be disappointed.

Eliya A.

Google
An absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, the service is outstanding, and the food is hands down the best Italian cuisine I’ve ever had. Every time I’m in Miami, this place is a must for me. I truly recommend it from the bottom of my heart, it’s an experience you simply can’t miss. Moro was Absolutely incredible! Thank you for everything, see you next time

Google
Easy 5 stars. Easy. Ronnie our server had a bright smile, attentive presence, great recommendations and provided impeccable service. All 4 of us got different dishes and the homemade pasta (which is getting prepared in the front window, see the photo) was cooked to perfection and is the clear star of the show. If you come here, you’re coming for the pasta. The environment both inside and out was classy and clever and playful and unique. It’s not rocket science why this place has a great reputation. Best of all, we came early without a reservation and that played out fine on a Thursday. Thanks Ronnie and Pane 🙂

Google
Came here for date night as my guy had come here a few times before and said I would love it. It was amazing! Service was perfect. Very attentive, very friendly. Melisa was a great waiter. She timed our meal out for us, gave us recommendations, and was so easy to chat with. She made us feel very comfortable and welcomed! We started with the gnocco fritto - delicious mortadella and cheese, but I would skip this and get something else. We then shared the linguine con vongole, which is their squid ink linguine with seafood. Delicious!!! You can taste how fresh the seafood was. And the pasta was perfect. Of course we had to end the night with the table side tiramisu. Wow wow wow. Even though I was stuffed, there was room for dessert and it was the best tiramisu I’ve had. Highly recommend checking this spot out, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
They got me in on a busy night. Waitstaff were friendly and kind. It was a nice experience watching the chef make pasta in the window. Pasta was fresh & homemade. My pasta with lamb is recommended.

Yelp
Pane e Vino is my favorite South Beach restaurant, regardless the cuisine. Small, intimate, family-owned, the food at Pane e Vino is fresh, filling, and unforgettable. Try the Parmigiana Di Melanzane, layered, baked eggplant prepared with mozzarella cheese, basil and tomato sauce and the artichoke flan, an artichoke muffin with eggs, milk and parmesan, served in a creamy cheese. The pasta is house made in the front window for all the world to see. Save room for dessert, the tiramisu is prepared tableside and is like no other other you have enjoyed before! Ask for Mirko. He will take excellent care of you!

Ray W.

Yelp
The lasagna and tiramisu were out of this world. Mirko is the best. Service top notch

Yelp
Consistently delicious everything time, you gotta start with the Bucatini alla Norcina and end your experience with the tiramisu And be sure to have Bruno as your server. Super hospitable and communicative and he makes sure everything's on point.

Yelp
Fresh pastas were special for sure but not sure about the hype for such a quirky place. 3.5 Food: 3.5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Cost to worth it rating: 3 Return worthiness: unsure Highlights: - Shrimp pistachio pasta: unique thick sheets of pasta folded over in creamy sauce with pistachios which was different. Good flavor and perfectly cooked shrimp. 4.5 stars - Green dumplings: delicate and filled with cheese in a xyz sauce 4.5 stars - So many fresh pastas: made it hard to decide which ones to get. - Lady in the front window making the pasta was cool Midlights: - Artichoke muffin: ordered it to see what it was about but was almost like a bready mooshy flan in a cheese sauce which was odd. 3 stars - Wine: just ok options by the glass - Strange environment: kitchy things everywhere and even weirder decor on the bathrooms. I'm all for different, but didn't feel fun or comfortable. Lowlights: - Meatballs: I usually love meatballs, but these were too mealy that we didn't enjoy them. 2 stars Was interesting to try and the fresh pasta menu is extensive.

Yelp
Pane e Vino is, without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant in Miami Beach. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a warm and inviting home literally like being at my mom's house. The attention to detail in the decor is incredible, from the cozy dining area to the beautifully decorated walls and even the bathrooms. Every inch of the space is designed to make you feel at home, and it truly enhances the experience. The food? Absolutely outstanding. The lamb rigatoni was to die for perfectly cooked pasta with rich, flavorful sauce that left me savoring every bite. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the incredible service, especially from Mirko. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring every part of the meal was perfect. Pane e Vino isn't just a restaurant it's an experience, and one that I'll be coming back for every time I'm in Miami Beach.

Yelp
Pane e Vino in Miami is a true gem for Italian cuisine lovers, offering an incredibly authentic dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm, rustic ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable meal. Our waiter, Mirko, who hails from Rome, provided exceptional service--his passion for Italian food and hospitality was evident in every interaction. He guided us through the menu with expert recommendations, making us feel like we were dining in a charming trattoria in Italy. The attention to detail, from the hand-rolled pasta to the carefully curated wine selection, elevated the experience even further. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was crafted with fresh ingredients and bold, traditional flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pasta, made in-house, was perfectly al dente and coated in rich, flavorful sauces that showcased true Italian craftsmanship. The ambiance, combined with Mirko's genuine hospitality, made our evening even more special. If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal in Miami with top-tier service, Pane e Vino is a must-visit. We will absolutely be returning!

Yelp
THE PLACE: Located in Miami Beach street parking is your only option, few parking lots around the block. The restaurant is small, but FULL of character, nostalgic charm and inviting/romantic lighting. fantastic ambiance to sayt he least, but can get loud if the restaurant is full - especially since the tables are very close to each other. THE FOOD: The food was GOOD. Upon being seated, you're given fresh warm bread and may add olive oil, salt and or balsamic vinegar found at the table. For apps, we had "frittura mista" 4/5, it was fresh (youll hear me say this alot) shrimp, zucchini & calamari wit sauce, nice portion. For entrees, we ordered the Agnolotti Piemontesi, it was great 5/5, braised beef in pasta with creamy sauce, delicious, but also a bit small in portion, yet it was fulfilling. My husband had Chitarra allo Scoglio but with regular linguine 5/5, nice portion. Every bite of all the dishes was SO FRESH and felt like it was made with love. THE SERVICE: Mirko our server was delightful! He was quick to tend to our table and needs, kind, joyful and so professional. He recommended & assured of the dishes we selected.

Yelp
Very cute trattoria with handmade pastas which were delicious. We didn't try any appetizers but they looked good from what we saw. The stuffed pasta was definitely made in house. A bit al dente but still delicious. Our server, Ian, was from Milano and was super personable and took care of us. The real star was their tiramisu which had the perfect balance of cream and coffee.

Yelp
Time and time again, Pane e Vino never disappoints. My boyfriend and I had been eager to return, and for Valentine's Day, he surprised me with a visit. Unfortunately, we found out that reservations were fully booked a month in advance. Undeterred, I called the same day and had the pleasure of speaking with Luigi, who was incredibly kind and accommodating. Though he explained that there were no guarantees for a walk-in, he still took my name down. We got lucky and only had to wait about five minutes before being seated outside, making for a charming and intimate Valentine's Day dinner. The food here is absolutely unbeatable--easily the closest thing to authentic Italian cuisine you can find without flying to Italy. Each dish is a work of art, full of flavor and made with care. It's a hidden gem in Miami Beach, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a casual dinner, Pane e Vino always delivers an unforgettable experience

Yelp
Pane e Vino has good food and great service. I've had this place bookmarked for a while, and my husband and I finally had the chance to check it out on a Friday night. My husband's lasagna was outstanding, but my pasta dish was just okay. I can never resist hot, fresh bread at a restaurant, but the bread that came out prior to dinner was none of these things. Overall, I would say it's a good place to check out, knowing that you might get spotty quality in your dishes. However, I do not quite understand the 5 stars on Yelp.

Yelp
What a great meal! I was lucky to get a table without a reservation. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic. I started with some bruschetta and followed up with the pasta. Everything was fresh and fresh tasted amazing. The service was to easy and my server was so helpful and make the meal even better. If you are looking for a great date night, this is your place!

Yelp
Are you seeking seriously good, genuine and rewarding meal? Come to think restaurant. We were surrounded by Italian vacationers who confirmed our choice. The topping on the meal was our wonderful waitress Sara.
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Food, ambiance, and service: AMAZING. We started with a waiter-recommended cheese and prosciutto appetizer, then had pasta and veal, and finished with tiramisu. Sat outside. They've got a lady in the front window making the homemade pasta, so between that and the made-tableside tiramisu and the spaghetti in a cheese wheel (table next to us ordered it), it was dinner and a show. BUYER BEWARE: Only complaint (which is more like a lesson learned) is to ask the waiter how much their recommended "special" is -- the cheese and prosciutto appetizer was $50. It was good, but not $50 good. Shocked when the check came, since that's over twice the price of any appetizer on the menu.

Yelp
Our server, Bruno, took great care of us. It is a small intimate spot and the fresh pasta was perfect. Location is in a very popular area but the restaurant isn't like the others around. Highly recommend when you're in Miami!
google avatar

Pablo Cheng L.

Yelp
Este restaurant siempre mantiene su calidad. La comida es excelente y el ambiente también. Tiene muy pocas mesas por lo que es recomendable reservar. La atención y el servicio también resalta, esta vez fuimos atendidos por Bruno. Recomendado.

Yelp
We had an absolutely incredible meal here! We ordered the lamb ragu and the bolognese, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The pasta was so fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced -- rich, savory, and comforting without being too heavy. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each dish. Truly some of the best pasta we've had in a long time. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Veronica G.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to visit in Miami always amazing Bruno was a wonderful server

Yelp
We go to this restaurant every year . Our server was excellent, Mirico . He did a great job. And we ordered the meatballs starter, very delicious. The bread was phenomenal. Our entree is the same every year we order the Pistachio sauce with homemade noodles and shrimp. We love that dish . We talk about trying something new but never do. We shared the pears and berries for desert , it was wonderful. We didn't see Angelo this year, he has been the owner. We didn't ask if he still owned the place. The restaurant by far is the best Italian in the area. The place is decorated nicely, advise making reservations, the place is on the smaller side.

AO C.

Yelp
The place is very cozy snd warm. The food was awesome. Service was excellent. Our server was Mirko, an Italian with a Serbian name... One small comment, why not great Italian music instead of American??
google avatar

Tommy P.

Yelp
Yeah, move over Macchialina - Pane e Vino is going to be our go-to Italian spot on SoBe from now on. It's small, it's cozy, it's friendly - it feels like you are at the house of a friend's aunt outside Roma. And everyone is as welcoming as they would be at the aunt's house - big thanks to Mirko for making us feel so welcome and comfortable (and for sweeping in with your stain-stick pen and saving my shirt from my oafish drip of vinegar!) - you get used to professional service in South Beach, but you can't fake a friendly welcome and when that's added to professionalism . . . well, the staff at Pane e Vino make you just delighted that you came. But let's talk about food. Holy smokes, can they cook! And they'll customize things for your meal (my wife wanted none of a certain fish; I wanted a little Calabrese spiciness in my tonnarelli alla amatriciana): Mirko assured me that if you want a different (house made - before your very eyes!) pasta with a dish, they'll accommodate you. But everything is just so, so you're not likely to want to change things up much. On the other hand, they have a FANTASTIC selection of different and not often found (on these shores) paste, so . . . well, just check it out. One sad note: we were meeting a friend for drinks after our early supper, so we skipped dessert and did not linger nearly as long as we wanted. I want more; I didn't get enough! Honestly, I'm thinking about moving up out next trip to South Beach just so we can eat at Pane e Vino again. Fantastic place.

Yelp
First time coming to Panera E Vino, we were a walk in and got lucky getting a table since they are fully booked with reservations. (I suggest making one if you want to come here since the place isn't super big) The service was wonderful. Our waiter Mirko was very friendly, polite and informative. The food was absolutely delicious! We had two pasta meals and a tiramisu. This place is very unique, they even have a lady making handmade pasta in the front window which was really cool. Highly recommend coming and giving this restaurant a try!
google avatar

Jonny M.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic. Atmosphere food and service.! My server GiGi made some great recommendations. Octopus, squid ink pasta, peach, vanilla ice cream
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
One of the best meals I had while in Miami and definitely the best tiramisu I've ever had. If you're planning on coming here, make a reservation! If not, you'll have to wait which is what we ended up doing because we didn't know ahead of time. Everything we got here is extremely delicious and our waitress was so sweet and gave us great recommendations. At the table there is olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes that you can use to make a dipping sauce for the bread basket. Our appetizer was Burrata crostini and one of our favorites of the meal. It was light and perfectly salty and creamy. We then ordered 3 pastas: Paccheri con Gamberi e Pistacchi, Cappelletti Verdi Tartufati, and Pappardelle al Ragu di Agnello. We were slightly apprehensive about pistachio in pasta but paccheri con gamberi e pistacchi turned out to be our favorite, highly recommend. All of the pasta is handmade but was very filling so the other 2 didnt stand out as much was was still very good. Surprisingly the most famous cappelletti Verdi tartufati was my least favorite. I loved the sauce though! You must get the tiramisu here! We didn't finish the pasta just to make sure we had room to eat the tiramisu. They make it tableside and is to die for. At the end I think the cacao powder on top mixed with the coffee and made almost a Nutella like flavor. Was amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by this beautiful and quaint restaurant it was absolutely packed, sometimes dining in Miami places can be busy, but the quality of food isn't really there, that was not the case for this restaurant . The food was fresh and delicious. Our experience was wonderful, our waiter Mirko really made our dinner so amazing, he was incredible patient, positive & knew the menu like the back of his hand. An absolute pleasure to have shared our evening with Mirko! The food was absolutely delicious and the majority of the pastas on the menu they're making in-house . The tiramisu was the best I've ever had, absolutely incredible that they layer it while you're seated there watching. Just wonderful- great people watching too if you sit outside !

Jany O.

Yelp
Mirko was amazing. This is my second time coming to this restaurant and it never disappoints. I recommend 100000000%. Will definitely be back

Yelp
5 Star Alert!! Make sure you make a reservation in advance. We walked in and luckily there was an open table outside, if not it would have been a 1 hour wait. Our waiter Diego was amazing! He gave some great recommendations. What we recommend: - nonnas meatballs (classic) - bruschetta - 4 pieces! Delish! - look at the pictures - the main dish names were long and I can't remember them! Overall, go here for a date, with friends, or with family! This spot is delish and I will be going back!
google avatar

Morgan C.

Yelp
100/10! First impression, very busy! Which is a great way to know the place is great. We made a reservation for 9:00 pm and checked in - 5 minutes later we were seated. I had requested for inside and that's what we got. The inside was small but beautiful and had many tables - we didn't feel cramped. The service was wonderful. While looking over the menu I asked our server what he recommended and he gave great choices. We got complementary bread and it tasted so fresh. It was fantastic. We ordered two glasses of Pinot Grigio. Our food came out pretty quickly which for how busy it was - 10/10 for us! The pasta was FRESH, hot and overall the best I've ever had. It's so hard to choose because everything sounds so delicious. This is a place I'd recommend to any and everyone. Clearly make a reservation before hand. For desert we got the tiramisu and they make it table side which was a cool experience to see. It tastes wonderful. The decor on the walls is a great touch, felt very cozy and intimate. A great place for a date night or a girls night. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
google avatar

Yelp
We felt like we were transported to Italy once we walked thru the door! The food, drinks, and service were amazing! Be sure to get the Tiramisu-they assemble it at the table and it is incredible!

Yelp
Right on the end of Eapanola way, this cozy family style Italian restaurant fires on good quality, flavor, service and decor. Most who pass by are captivated by the fresh pasta being prepared by the window. Can't get more authentic than that! True to its name the pan (bread) is also very fresh. I love how the dishes come out, bathrooms decorated, and food tastes. I ordered the lamb ragu and thought it was perfect. Good wine and beer menu. Highly recommend and would return.

David H.

Yelp
Sara ! Was amazing and sweet ! The pasta was delicious and the place was adorable. Everyone was very nice and took good care of us.

Yelp
Fantastic Pasta Gem Charming and small fresh pasta restaurant! A great menu with small but tasty wine list. Make sure to make a reservation or if you don't mind waiting and exploring Española Way.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been too. Gigi was our server and he did a phenomenal job! I had the spaghetti alla ruota and it was cheesy but sooo tasty. We were also celebrating my birthday and the workers sang happy birthday to me! Service charge is not included in the bill, yet the customer service is superb. Definitely recommend checking this place out!!!

Yelp
Talk about a romantic date night spot. Loved pane e vino. The service , wine selections and pasta dishes are out of this world. I had the pistachio pasta and the octopus salad. The wheel of cheese pasta is a must get . The veal also great. Can't go wrong .

Yelp
TLDR: come here. It is literally Ambiance is wonderful. We sat street side and we still had an intimate dinner. The food: the handmade pasta is wonderful. Perfect texture, perfect cook, perfect balance. The service: service was wonderful. Our server Mirko was attentive and made sure our needs were met. All in all, this meal was the perfect end and send-off for our trip to Miami.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time maybe 3 years ago and was a great experience!! Came back again recently and still amazing!! The octopus is amazing, had the agnolotti, veal (so good) and of course the table side tiramisu. Only pic I took haha. Will be back again sooner than later!

Yelp
Came with my spouse for our 5 year anniversary mid December. Great service & right on time. We did not have reservations but they accommodated us. the ambience was just intimate and every dish was made with love. Great food, great service and try the tiramisu. Thank you to staff and management. I will definitely come here again.

Yelp
This is my favorite Italian restaurant! The food to the service is impeccable. If you like octopus, you have to order it. Best octopus I've ever had in my life! It melts in your mouth. I also love the dark light and romantic feel this place has. You can see them making pasta from scratch in the window.
google avatar

Cesar B.

Yelp
I've been here before but recently came over Valentine's day weekend with my girlfriend. The restaurant was packed and even with a reservation we had to wait a bit. Parking is tough as is any spot in the area you'll likely have to pay to park. Reservations are a must for this restaurant and you'll likely have to reserve with anticipation as popular times are usually taken. So is it worth it? Absolutely. Service is fantastic, the restaurant is clean and romantic perfectly suited for dates or intimate events, and the food is spectacular. The pasta here is made fresh and the ingredients have a clear quality. The pricing is more than reasonable for the experience and quality of the food. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this place should be up there as a must-go destination. P.S. get the tiramisu ;)
google avatar

Braxton T.

Yelp
This place is a true gem. Every bite brought back memories of my Italian home-cooked meals. It's hands-down the best pasta in Miami. The staff is amazing. From the pasta maker to the servers, everyone is incredibly friendly and passionate about their food. You can really feel the love in every dish. I'll definitely be back again and again. Fantastico!

Yelp
I had such a great time at Pane e Vino. My waitress Vivian was exquisite. She recommended me the lamb raygu which I loved! I also asked if I could get a hot sauce or chili flakes and Viviane went above and beyond and got me a pickled chile dish on the side and it served the perfect heat. I also recommend the table side tiramisu..she made my experience so much better and I will return asaaaaap!

Catherine K.

Yelp
Best Italian place I've ever been to in the US. Family run, small, intimate dining. Attentive servers. Feels like authentic Italy. Funny enough the first time I went to Miami, went here and wanted to try new restaurants the second time, ended up going back to the same place, and it was just as wonderful as if I had never been there! Hands down would visit every time I go back!
