It tastes just as great after it comes to room temperature a little bit, so this fluffy baguette of salty-sweet excellence works well as a lunch while afloat on a marine vessel. But you shouldn’t ignore their cold cut sandwiches like the phenomenal salami sub with pesto, aioli, fuschia-tinted pickled onion, and mixed greens. The rascals fuse together on a fluffy bánh mì-style baguette with buttery swiss, a swoop of pesto, and mixed greens in place of typical iceberg ribbons. "Pane Pane isn’t a Vietnamese restaurant, so the teriyaki meatball is the only type of bánh mì you’ll see here—and it's less of a bánh mì and more of a bánh mì-style sandwich. But it's so incredible that it almost makes us cry every time we eat it. There’s something about the combination of a soft, sweet soy sauce-glazed meatball cut with spicy sriracha mayo and crunchy daikon on house-baked bread that has so many phenomenal layers of texture and flavor.
