I went to Panzano by myself as a treat while at a conference in Denver. As a grad student, I was already stretching my budget. The food was rich and delicious (highly recommend the tiramisu). I sat at the counter and interacted with the chefs (who provided some tasters) and my waiter was beyond kind (walked through menu and treated me on dessert). The perfect treat and filling meal. Favorite part of downtown Denver so far!

No issues with the serving staff. They were professional and very courteous. The food on the other hand was just meh... the vegetarian options were limited and even those weren't very good or flavorful. For the price, the food quality was not very good. We have had better Italian food in other places at similar or lower prices.

We went before MAMMA Mia at The Buell and from start to finish everything was amazing! Chris was our waiter and he was absolutely delightful and made sure we stayed on time to make our show. We enjoyed the Prix Fix menu along with the wine pairing and it was scrumptious! Anytime we are in Denver we will be sure to visit!

Google
I love that they put anchovy in their Caesar salad, so good. I ordered the carbonara with braised rabbit leg, it’s good but a little salty for me. The location in good for walking if you’re staying in downtown. Big spacious restaurant.

I enjoyed my evening here very much. The lobster arincini, focaccia and crostini was delicious. The pollo alla Milanese hit the spot. Service was excellent and the blood orange manhattan was soothing.

Google
I said that food was excellent. My wife said that the service was excellent and that's why food was so amazing. Best argument to have as a couple. We both loved it. When we are back Denver this will be our first stop back for diner.

Panzano's $70 4-course tasting presented a considered exploration of Italian flavors. It was a well-priced opportunity to sample a range of offerings and it presented good value for the quality. A $30 wine pairing option was available to enhance the meal. We arrived and were seated in the main dining room at a booth. Our server, Brian, was a notable asset to the experience. His recommendations for cocktails & desserts were accurate and well-received, demonstrating a good understanding of the menu and a helpful, efficient service style. The Chef's 4-course tasting menu came with an Antipasti, Primi, Secondi, & Dolci dishes. The meal began with a Panzanella salad (Antipasti course), a balanced mix of textures and flavors, featuring kale, squash, and a pleasant tang from the sherry vinaigrette. The pasta course (Primi course), with options like wild boar Bolognese and sausage orecchiette, provided hearty & satisfying dishes. The Secondi course, Seared Pork Tenderloin main was cooked precisely. The dessert selection (Dolci course), particularly the Butterscotch Pudding, was a highlight! A well-paced, thoughtfully prepared Italian meal in Denver, Panzano delivered. The classic dishes were executed with care, and the attentive service by Brian, allowed the food to take center stage.

Google
Interesting open-concept Italian kitchen. I had the privilege to be seated at the chef counter and was able to observe the preparation. The antipasti and entrees are prepared consistently, simply, and with attention to detail. It was a pleasure to watch it unfold. The pasta was cooked perfectly, Statler chicken was fork-tender, risotto was creamy and made with careful attention to heat, and Bolognese was well-balanced, and not too oily. I highly recommend! It was a pleasure.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I missed the Denver institution that is Panzano, but I did and I'm so glad that is no longer the case. It was truly giving Sopranos when I dined recently - only in the sense that this is absolutely a place to bring your whole family on a Sunday night for a fantastic Italian meal. My friend and I took part in their 4 course Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairing which was SO good and was actually a LOT of food! We didn't know what we were getting into, so we ordered cocktails and their House Bread Service to start which were both also delightful. I'm not sure how often they change up their Tasting Menu (if at all), but if you're unsure of what to order, trust the Chef and get in on this. Our 4 courses below: 1) Insalata di Caesar - romaine, white anchovy, parmesan, house-made croutons - so fresh and crisp. Ours actually had butter lettuce which was somehow better? The best way to start the meal. 2) Bolognese - campanelle, veal + pork, ricotta salata - I'm not the biggest red sauce gal, but I would absolutely order this Bolognese over and over again. 3) Pollo alla Cacciatore - roasted half chicken, san marzano tomato, olive, caper, bell pepper, oyster mushroom, crispy polenta - Did you think the Bolognese was our main meal? Because I did for a sec - already quite full when this came out, but this was delightful. Perfectly cooked chicken and the flavors! 4) Tiramisu - lady finger, espresso bean, amaretto mascarpone, cocoa powder - classic and SO delicious! A big ol' serving came out for each of us too. It's inside Hotel Monaco, but it definitely stands on its own. Whether you're dining with the whole family or want to go on a romantic date, definitely don't pass this place up when you're downtown. *This was a hosted experience for us, but I would 100% dine here again on my own dime any day.

Yelp
Drinks: -Ruby melody 6.5/10 well balanced, not very Aperol forward which I liked -Rose tattoo 6/10 tasty and interesting blend of ingredients Apps: -Focaccia 4/10 came cut into chunks which honestly was very odd- I've never had focaccia served like that before. Overall I was pretty let down but this app, I expected way more from it but it was just underwhelming. -Crispy burrata 6/10 I don't actually think that frying it made any impact flavor wise or even experience wise, it would've been just as good not fried. But nonetheless we ate it all! Entrees: -Bolognese 8/10 there's nothing I'd change about this dish I loved the flavors the portion and it came out perfectly hot. I just didn't have a WOW bite which is why I held back a couple stars -Frutti di Mare 5/10 sauce was overly oily and flavor was overpowering Dessert: Service: Maya was our server and she was lovely! Attentive and friendly and offered great suggestions.

Yelp
We held a work event in a private room at Panzano on June 12th. It was seamless. We had 17 people and our server was delightful and accommodating. We didn't feel rushed at all and the food came out in a nice pace and was delicious. We had a great night and would highly recommend Panzano for any event!! S. Brackney

Yelp
Nice space the hostess was a bit snooty. We had a table near the bar since the dining room was full. Our waiter was very friendly and hustled. Arancini was very tasty. The veal piccata came out in a marsala sauce and when we told our waiter, he insisted it was white wine with capers and lemon, of course non of which existed. Luckily the veal was cooked perfectly, but I wish the dish represented what was written in the menu.. the chicken was very dry and tasteless so we ate very little and again the waiter was clueless. Didn't even ask if we liked it or not just asked if we wanted to take it home if we did, we would've buried it in the backyard..

Yelp
Last night, we caught up with some friends at Panzano. It's right around the corner from us. I remember being in this restaurant years ago. It's that type of food where you just close your eyes and experience. I really appreciate that. A good chef can express his or her artistry through a gastronomic journey. The GM manager was Julia or Julie (forgive me if I pronounce your name wrong) and the hostess Brian, a true salesman of this restaurant. I had Brussels sprouts as my main meal. Look, Mama, I'm growing up finally! I want to thank you, Julia and Brian, and all of the staff for making it a memorable night for our stomachs as well as our hearts.

Yelp
Solid choice for a nice dinner out in downtown Denver. On the pricy side, but nice menu choices throughout and a nice wine list selection. Wait staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and informed with recommendations and information about the food & beverage offerings. We tried the arancini (definitely recommend), burrata (ok, it was fried which took away from the pure taste but paired nicely with sweet tomatoes), and eggplant for my main dish (photo doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful and super tasty). Other nice salad and dessert options but we didn't have room because of the generous portion sizes. Nice ambiance too:)

Yelp
We came here for our first getaway from our toddler. The service was impeccable. We opted in for the 4 course meal and it was great... except for the chicken. This was the 3rd course but the 2nd course I got some mushroom and sausage pasta and it was amazing! They also gave us a courtesy Brussel sprouts app. The server recommended the old fashion to my spouse... he said it was alright. I got a cocktail and it was also just ok. I am glad we came but would not be back.

Yelp
At first I wasn't to happy with the service, and quality of one dish . What turned around my experience was the fact the server could tell one dish was barely touched . Which was this shrimp and lobster ravioli. I'm glad she can observe and accommodate accordingly. Wish I got her name . The other dish that was ordered that I really enjoyed was the crusted breadcrumb eggplant lasagna with a marina sauce and basil oil around it . Loooved ! Let me tell you about the delicious desserts. Apple crumble panna cotta . It was refreshing and sweet at the same time . Never had a Panna cotta like that. Definitely the best I have ever had Also tried the olive cake with vanilla ice cream and that was deliciously filling . Wish I took photos of the food but I was in the moment . Regarding the ambience it was nice . As you can see in the one photo I got lol.

Yelp
Service was good. Food was uninspired but ok. Kind of fine for a hotel. But for 400$ for 6 people felt it should have been a little more fresh and interesting than an upscale Olive Garden.

Yelp
Panzano is a good choice for before dinner at the Performing Arts Center. Our server Abby, was great. She knew the menu, offered helpful advice and was attentive. The kitchen turns out food quickly, which was appreciated, when we had a show to catch. We started with the Frito Misto, shrimp, squid, and tempura vegetables --all really tasty. I had the Seafood Ravioli, stuffed with shrimp and a butter (buerre) sauce with lobster. It was rich, and way too salty for my palate. It was sad to have such a beautiful and potentially tasty meal ruined with so much salt. Others had the pasta, which is made in house daily and served in large portions. Consider sharing any of the pasta dishes. Wine list is very good by the glass and/or bottle. Inside the decor is comfortable and the dining room was quiet.

Yelp
Great dinner and service at Panzano on Wednesday night. I had a reservation for a large group, and the restaurant was great communicating with me as I ended up changing our quantity multiple times. We showed up a few minutes early for our 7:15 reservation, after I called a few hours earlier to bump it out from 6:15. Our waiter was great, and cocktails and appetizers (calamari and brussel sprouts) came out a short time later. They were both quite good. I went with the Pesce Fresco, especially after learning the white fish was halibut. It was wonderful...possibly the best piece of fish I've had since moving to Colorado. Asparagus was undercooked but wasn't horrible. Others in my group had the scallops, filet, and a few of the pasta dishes. All raved about their meals. Desserts were quite good as well. I had the chocolate mousse with almond bark concoction, while others had the tiramisu, sorbet, and a few other dishes. Everything was great.

Yelp
This place absolutely delightful! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was just so yummy. The broccoli had the right amount of crunch and buttered nicely. Finally the dessert was absolutely wonderful. My waitress was super kind and very attentive. The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night but it wasn't super loud. If I'm ever out here again, I will definitely stop by.

Yelp
I live super close by and finally tried this place today as I had some family in town and that's always a good excuse for a new place! Arrived during happy hour. Very friendly and professional staff with excellent service ( above and beyond the usual). We ordered the Salsiccia and Margarita pizza, each about 4 slices and super yummy. Lots of flavor and very fresh tasty dough baked perfectly! Not your average pizza, definitely more artisan with many unique options with fresh different toppings (something for everyone). The manager was super friendly and greeted us as well and also checked in. This would be a great date spot for dinner, very nice ambiance and decor & a great menu. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
GREAT happy hour. Located near the 16th street mall, I have wanted to stop in here for a while. The service was fantastic but again, the happy hour menu!!!! Will be back ASAP!

Yelp
The ambience of this restaurant transported me to a 1950s Italian mob movie. Well, the food was good. The atmosphere really leveled the restaurant up or waiter gave great explanations to everything on the menu. The restaurant has a very cozy and family friendly feel.

Yelp
On July 10th, we organized a professional gathering in a private room at Panzano. The experience was flawless. With a total of 12 attendees, our server was both charming and attentive. We never felt hurried, and the food was served at a pleasant pace, proving to be quite delectable. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful evening and would strongly endorse Panzano for any event.

Mandy L.

Yelp
We experienced an unforgettable evening savoring the Chef's 4-course tasting menu at Panzano, with perfectly paired wines. Our server was awesome and very skilled with his menu and wine knowledge!! From crispy Arancini to a vibrant Lattuga A Stati, hearty Bolognese, rich Grano Orso, and the tender Pollo alla Cacciatore -- every bite was a celebration of flavor. Finish your meal off with their homemade Tiramisu and Crostata Al Frutto Della Passione! The flavors here are unbeatable! Right in the heart of downtown - This is a Denver staple.

Yelp
Six of us came for dinner on a Wednesday evening. We started by sharing two starters to share. We had some Cavolini di Bruxelles and some Fritto Misto. The Cavolini di Bruxelles consisted of fried brussels sprouts in an apple cider reduction with pistachios, rosemary salt and sliced green apple. It was absolutely amazing and everyone loved it. The Fritto Misto consisted of crispy calamari and blue shrimp with pickled peppers, olives, fennel, summer squash and preserved lemon aioli. Another huge hit and cooked perfectly. For the main I ordered the Pollo e Gnocchi which was a fennel-roasted half chicken with ricotta gnocchi charred cipollini, lemon and chicken jus. This was cooked perfectly but is a large portion size so beware. My partner ordered the Capsesante which is seared day boat scallops with corn risotto, calabrian chili agrodolce and crispy speck. Another fantastic hit and thoroughly enjoyed. We shared a Strawberry and Rhubarb Cobbler with Lemon Sorbet for dessert, which was simply amazing and full of flavour. The staff were fantastic and made the whole dining experience even better. I highly recommend this as a must go to restaurant.

Yelp
We were staying at the Magnolia Hotel just a skip away. Wanted a light dinner after our travels. Decided to check out Panzano happy hour. Reasonably priced pizzas, Caesar salad, olives, charcuterie, and drinks. We had the happy hour Negroni, two different pizzas, Caesar salad, and the marinated olive medley. So stuffed for such a reasonable price. Food, drinks, service excellent!

Yelp
We stopped by for dessert to go, we got the brown butter peach cake and pb&j ice cream -- holy moly it was delicioussssss. I hope we go back to Denver so we can try the rest of their food! There was a weird smell when we entered, but that may have been the city seeping in, a couple other restaurants in downtown smelled weird. But the hostess was friendly, and it was a cute spot, nice for a date!
google avatar

Karin H.

Yelp
The service was excellent. Loved the happy hour prices for two glasses of yummy red, the happy hour Caesar salad was delicious with real anchovy dressing. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious as was the butternut risotto, the brown butter made for a deeply flavored, rich dish.

Yelp
Seriously one of the BEST deals for a chef's tasting in town! We had a great date night a couple of weeks ago and cannot wait to go back soon. For only $100 per person (it's typically $70pp with an option $30pp wine pairing add on) we enjoyed so much food and wine! The portions were generous and so were the wine pours! I absolutely loved the Pasta a Cavalo and the Truffle Risotto Arancini! The service was also great, they were very attentive!
google avatar

BriBri M.

Yelp
The best brunch I've had in a while! The eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had! Along with the banana bread French toast. I wish I lived in town to eat here more often. Kevin the manager was also very kind! Along with our server.

Yelp
Greatly enjoyed Panzano! Visiting Denver for work, and needed a quiet spot for dinner for one. The large windows of the restaurant welcomed me in, and the restaurant had a cozy feel. The service was impeccable. Waiter was attentive and made great recommendations. Food was fantastic. First course was the house made bread service, served warm with both butter and olive oil. Focaccia bread was heavenly!! Then had the cream of carrot soup. Definitely comfort food. Bolognese was also a treat. The sauce had warm spice flavor to it that was so welcome compared to the usual, plain tomato sauce. For dessert, a banana caramel tart. Melt in your mouth delicious! So glad I stopped!

Yelp
So this meatless pasta dish that's so rich and delicious made me a fan! I thought I've had some meatless good ones in the past but this made me question myself. Has anybody tried this dish at this restaurant? Comment below, please. I even forgot that there wasn't any meat in my pasta! Oh! Their Tiramisu is so creamy! Ending your night with this is so worth it! My cocktail the Riviera was stiff and yummy! Perfect with one cube of ice! Lastly their house-made focaccia. It comes with their whipped rosemary tallow butter. It's a must! Classy yet still a casual eatery in the Hotel Monaco focusing on sustainable Northern Italian cuisine. From pre-theater dinners to luxurious weekend brunches, centrally located Panzano is a little bit of Italy in the heart of d/t Denver. Great service and recs! Thanks Brian! What we dined on: Starter: House-made Focaccia with whipped Rosemary tallow butter. Polpo A La Grigli: grilled Spanish octopus | radicchio | romesco | white balsamic | pickled cipollini onion. Entree: Pasta Funghi: fussily | local oyster mushroom | brussels sprout leaf | crema | walnut oil Ravioli di Zucca: kabocha squash | Medjool date | pecorino | marcona almond | black truffle | brown butter. Dessert: Tiramisu: Cocktail and Beer The Riviera: whistlepig piggy-back 6 year rye, fernet-branca, clove syrup DR New Belgium What is tallow butter: most commonly rendered beef fat, but it can also be made from other ruminant animals. Tallow can also be made from goat fat, sheep fat, and even deer fat.

Yelp
I stopped here for breakfast before my flight out of Denver, a really cool Italian restaurant with history, serving up some delicious breakfast. I got the eggs Benny served over polenta instead of an English muffin. The eggs were perfectly pouched and runny, polenta not dry, and some fancy ham for added salt. I feel like it was missing some seasoning, but overall a refreshing spin on a classic.

Yelp
Wow & Wow, the Porchetta pork tenderloin with mushrooms demiglace sauce was awesome! The service matched the delicious food with a waiter that offered to switch the bolognese sauce to another plates pasta for a kid friendly dinner that my daughter enjoyed. The small talk with the Assistant that kept the water glass full and revealed 20 something years of service at the dining establishment! The rotating team all provided an excellent dining experience with dishes that were top dollar worthy.

Kemisi O.

Yelp
Nicely lit restaurant. We didn't have any reservations but it wasn't an issue for them to sit a party of 5. The food overall was good. The fritto is delicious wish the serving was just a little more. My favorite was the Bolognese. It was very well seasoned and flavorful. Recommend if you're craving Italian.
google avatar

Denise T.

Yelp
I honestly think this place is over priced and over hyped. The service was okay, but she over charged us for our cocktails. We ordered Irish coffees and the server said there wasn't a way to ring it up so she had to ring it as separates and they came out to $25. $25 for a not great Irish coffee. Ridiculous. I ordered the Bolognese and it lacked so much flavor. For such a pricey dish I expected so much more. The meal was so overpriced and wasn't good at all. Such a sad experience. I wouldn't suggest this place unless you like blank Italian food and don't mind paying $25 for a small dish.

Yelp
It was 10 years ago since we were last in Denver for a Convention and discovered Panzano's. It was so good on that trip that we dined there twice during. 10 years later we found ourselves back in Denver and Panzano's did not disappoint. The food was exceptional. The Brussel Sprouts dish is amazing and a must. I generally do not eat brussel sprouts but at Panzano's I could not stop eating them. The bread with fried burrata, tomato jam and pesto took bread service to the next level. The burrata cheese with the garlic in the pesto and the sweetness of the tomato jam was a perfect combination. Next, was their Caesar nicely crisp and chilled lettuce with what is obviously homemade caesar dressing was a nice transition for the main course. If you have never had a Caesar salad with homemade dressing you are in for a treat. For the entree we had their pasta bolognese which was a home run. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the bolognese with veal and pork was so good. The bolognese has a slight kick to it and is filled with flavor. The pasta was so good even though we were full we could not stop eating it. Just wish we had room to try one of their desserts. Along with the fabulous meal the entire team at Panzano's is exceptional. The service was efficient, attentive and friendly. We were seated by the open kitchen and noticed how well the entire team worked together. Food was promptly served once it was ready. They did not keep the food on the counter waiting for our server but instead another server immediately brought our food to us. Our water glasses were never empty constantly being topped off when necessary. The plates between courses and empty cocktail glassed were promptly removed from the table keeping a nice clean table for the next course. The service is 110% here. This restaurant is a must visit if you enjoy a great evening of freshly prepared and delicious Italian food. Now that we have a very good friend living in Denver we are excited to return here for dinner on our many trips to Denver to visit our friend. Thank you Panzano's for a wonderful evening!

Yelp
Wow. Just amazing. Reminds me of being back in Italy. So first thing is that they change their menu 3x per year! I took a picture of the current food menu (September 2023). And they have different menus for different times of the day. The ambience is beautiful, a total vibe. Our waiter's attention was exceptional. I wish I remembered his name so I could hype him up here. Service truly was 11/10. It's located inside a hotel and there's valet + street parking available. We started off with red wine and apperol spritz, 10/10. We ordered the fritto misto and some bread with butter for our starters. 10/10 again lol I got the vitello pasta and my boyfriend got the bolognese. Both were delicious. I took the remainder of mine to go and had it the next day for lunch and it still tasted fantastic. This spot is great for a date night, girls night, family occasion, special celebration, etc. I think the prices are adequate for the quality of the food and the atmosphere+service. I will 100% be returning. And def recommend checking it out! You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
4.5* The decor and atmosphere are stuffy and a little dated. The service was efficient, although not very warm. They came around way too often to clear our plates before we were ready, and it seemed like they were trying to rush us out. The food however was excellent and that is the most important thing, hence the high marks. We had an assortment of appetizers including calamari, Brussel sprouts, and charcuterie, all tasty and well plated. I had the Fra Diavolo for my main and it was superb. Fresh seafood with homemade linguine pasta in a light tomato sauce. One of the better Italian dishes I have had in a restaurant the past few years. If they freshen up the decor and tweak the service a bit it's easily a full 5 * review.

Yelp
If you're into seafood and pork with pasta and wine, this is your place. We're here to taste the brussel sprouts and home-made bread. It sounds strange but I live Brussel Sprouts that much. I also wanted a good chicken pastor but they only have one chicken dish. They can add a chicken breast to a dish but literally right on top. Waitress is cool, nice lady. I love the ambiance and decor. Update: the Brussel Sprouts and breqd were good but someone went super heavy-handed on the BS. Ask for less salt.

Allan D.

Yelp
Not as good as it used to be. Compare their fritto Misti from 2021 to today and it is really sad. Today, the calamari pieces are so small and greasy that it is an embarrassment for a sit down restaurant.
google avatar

Kelsy E.

Yelp
Glad to have squeezed in a quick res the night before as they are busy - sat in the bar area which was nice to include plenty of high tops and booths. Waitress was very helpful and friendly as we navigated the wine list. Started with the brussel sprouts - these might be the tastiest I've had (I've tried many great variations) what is great about these are the green apple and dressing. Waitress almost let me walk out with the recipe after telling her I'd eat them every day :-) Bison short rip was succulent and not too fatty unlike beefs tend to be. The fra diavlo was a miss for us. The noodles felt very ramen and chewy like. The sauce was "fishy" and overall not one we would order again. Nice atmosphere, will be back but will skip the seafood.

Yelp
We recently had the opportunity to visit Panzano in downtown Denver for dinner as an old friend was in Denver on business and wanted to meet there. We had never been, though several years ago had the opportunity to dine in Denver more frequently. My absolute first comment I'd like to make is to congratulate the staff members for such extremely professional and fantastic service. It's been a while since I have seen a team like that in this state. We had 3 in our party and some sharing happened so we could sample more items. We all enjoyed our drinks completely. My prosecco was perfect. As was my husbands Malbec. The house Focaccia was excellent. The Frito Misto was very good. The Caesar salads among us were very ordinary, though the anchovy was a nice touch. My seafood ravioli was rather bland, though the lobster chunks in the butter sauce very nice and the best part. My husband's Veal Saltimbocca was very attractive, though it did not seem like Veal Saltimbocca at all, more like a light beef steak wrapped in bacon, thick sliced like a filet mignon but a bit tough to cut. All Veal Saltimboccas I have had in the past were of very pale meat, thinly sliced and pounded even thinner and stuffed with the prosciutto in a rolled or folded over style with the sage leaf on top. Indeed the sage was on top here but the meat layer very thick causing the prosciutto to overcook. The desserts were a hit, my husband's caramel budino very nice, my cinnamon pannacotta a bit denser than most, but beautifully flavored and garnished with incredible crispy bits of chopped apples that had been caramelized. Our friend had the sorbets, but opted to make it a duo of favorite flavors rather than the trio preselected as one flavor he does not care for so instead took two of his favorite. This was not porblem though, as I have said, the service staff made everything so easy. My decaf espresso shot to end the meal was quite good, my husband enjoyed his coffee and our friend, his port. Clearly a nice option to eat here, especially if you are in any of the neighboring hotels on business. There were several large groups that night and it seemed the staff was well covering those tables as well as our cozy booth..

Yelp
The food was excellent. The service was sub par. I appreciate the restaurant employ older servers - it feels comfortable. However, he was not engaging. He did not check on us during the entire one hour. It started out badly when we asked him to repeat the specials of the day. He showed impatience and we could not understand his European accent. The decor is beautiful. We enjoyed the atmosphere - we just wished we had another server. Our bus boy was more engaging.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! We've made sure to come to Panzano every time we visit Denver. It's a favorite especially for breakfast or brunch. The fresh baked bread is just extraordinary! We can come here and just have the toast and coffee because it's that good. But we don't! We order much more. The Eggs Benedict are wonderful. So are the pancakes. We have loved everything we've ordered. Get a window booth if it's snowing.

Yelp
Wait, What!?!? I haven't reviewed Panzano yet? Opps! I have loved this place for years. It's a go-to for downtown client lunches and friend meetups. Going on a date? Panzano! I even hosted my out-of-towners pre-wedding gathering here in a private room they have off to the side for just such occasions. Situated alongside the Hotel Monaco, Panzano serves up a variety of great meal options, solid happy hours, and as of my last visit a $30 pre fix lunch special that did not disappoint. Great spot, wonderful staff, right in the heart of downtown. Solid.

Yelp
It has been about four years since I was last at this gem in Denver. It has been around for as long as I can remember downtown Denver and for good reason, solid, delicious food with spot on service. This place is not gimmicky as so many new restaurants are. This weekend, went back and I was not disappointed -- everything from the cheese & salami starters to the Porchetta main were as excellent as I remembered. Little disappointed to not see the carbonara on the menu, it was what I enjoyed the most when I used to work downtown and frequented Panzano more often. I will make it my New Year's resolution to be back more often going forward.

Yelp
I am baffled by the nearly five star rating here. From the moment we walked in it looked run down and smelled odd. After being seated next to a garbage can, we were moved to a booth that had such a ripped-up seat that I had to sit on a napkin. The food was barely a step above cafeteria food and they forgot the focaccia we ordered until we were almost done eating. Our server was very nice but that's about it. definitely don't recommend.

Yelp
// Summary Decent Italian food with average service - good place to grab a bite before your nighttime downtime festivities. // Experience Came here for a date, and we got several dishes to share: spuma di ricotta, risotto, grilled asparagus, and bolognese. Everything tasted pretty good, and we were completely stuffed. It's not going to be pasta that makes you cry because of how good it is, but it gets the job done. // Service We had a great server who had a kind and funny personality. He was mostly helpful - but I think it took a little while to get our waters refilled here and there and for our check to get settled as we felt in a bit of a rush to catch our show. // Ambiance The place has got a pretty good vibe to it. It's that perfect in-between atmosphere of "high-end" and "family diner" that doesn't make you feel uncomfortable if you're a "smart casual" dresser. // Convenience It's downtown - so take that for what it's worth. Parking isn't too hard to find, but came here before a show and parked in the garage closer to the performing arts center. I will say, it is quite a trek to the bathroom, as it seems to share a bathroom with another establishment.

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing, some of the best in Denver. Great vibe. But where this place really shines is the SERVICE. Bryan/Papa is by far the most amazing server that I have ever had at any restaurant ever. Always recommends the best dishes and makes us feel so so so welcome. I always tell everyone I know that Panzano is my favorite restaurant in Denver!

Yelp
We did a "cooking class" at Panzano which was not quite what we expected. I booked this in hopes of hands on cooking but instead we watched the head chef cook for us while describing it all. I was a little disappointed that there was no snacks while we watched for over an hour. There was a server that you could order drinks from but I was also disappointed the event didn't come with at least one drink. But after patiently waiting for our entrees, the handmade pasta we got was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. It was truly incredible. It made all the waiting and disappoint basically gone. I wouldn't go back to do a cooking class because that is not what I want for that experience but I will be going for dinner over and over again. Incredible flavors, chef. Bravo! (Wish I knew the name of the pasta -- it was homemade ravioli with veal/ricotta on the inside. Too die for.)

Yelp
I can't say enough about this wonderful restaurant! My wife surprised me with a date night here because of the extensive gluten free menu and awareness of dietary restrictions/allergies. I took part in the amazing 4 course GF meal! It's $70 for the food and $30 for a half pour of wine per course. And let me tell you, it's absolutely worth every penny!! The meal is preset by the chef every night but they totally can accommodate dietary restrictions which is amazing! My wife had the best gin drink and ravioli and was able to try all my courses! Our waiter, Jose, was AMAZING! Hands down an amazing waiter and genuinely just such a nice guy. He made our night special and paid attention to our questions and preferences. We can't wait to come back to this amazing place for the food, atmosphere, and drinks!

Yelp
Please note that my review was for their banquet service as I did not eat in main dining room. For all of those considering Panzano as a party venue you may want to reconsider. The sterile room is up a flight of stairs. I am sure that the menu looked good on paper. Food was served family style. There were multiple courses. The courses ranged from Caesar salad (soggy) Frito Misto , which was good. 3 different pastas (including a Bolognese, which was very salty) Others were memorable for the fact that I love pasta and gnocchi and these were all overcooked and the presentation was terrible. Fortunately I was seated with people whose company I enjoyed.

Yelp
Their amazing pizza was not available. A disappointment. It's due to a staffing shortage. The food was ok. Nothing special to write home about.
