Very kind and professional shop owner and stuff! We went there to ask for something local to try out, the lady was very sweet, asked us if we wanted something sweet or salty. Very explanatory, really appreciated the attitude. We tried the Bolognese rice dessert and absolutely loved it, definitely recommended.

I ran in here quickly whilst on a very quick stop in Bologna, in between my plane and train. It took about 20 minutes to walk from the train station to here, past a few of the sites of interest. The selection of pastries and food was amazing! I picked up an Arancini and a sweet treat which I then took back for the train journey. It was lovely!!! Well worth the brisk walk. The staff were friendly and helpful and forgiving at my poor Italian language skills. All in all, a lovely little stop.

I tried to order in Italian because I'm trying to learn and try to be respectful of their language. The older woman was very rude, acted as if she couldn't understand a single word. I explained Im trying to learn but the woman didnt look at me. A younger a bit more kind woman helped me but I could hear they were all talking about me in Italian (I might not speak fluently but understand it well). This was a very bad experience for someone who always tries to be respectful and learn about other cultures. Won't go again.

A historical bakery since 1868. The cookies were so yummy and crumbly. They also sell some savoury snacks. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Every year, my family makes the pilgrimage from Florence to Bologna to buy 3 kilos of Paolo Atti's finest tortellini. They're wonderful with broth around Christmas time and make very special presents

It was closed when according to the hours in google it should be open. Update the hours if you're not going to be open on Monday. Edit: I've read the owner's reply. As a store in the center of a big tourist city, it would have made sense if the sign was also written in English.

Yelp
I tried the zeppole, which was delicious. My biggest regret was that I had just eaten and I was not staying in a place with a kitchen so that I could buy lots of the pasta to cook. Next time, I am going to make sure I have a kitchen so that I can partake of these amazing offerings like the spinach and pork ravioli, the pumpkin and meat tortellini and their tagliatelle. Basically, give me some of everything here. The shop workers were very patient as I investigated every item in the store. It's very close to the main Piazza, so stumbling upon the shop was easy.

Yelp
Walking through the streets in Bologna, there were so many specialty shops and confectioners. What struck me about Paolo Atti e Figli was the wonderful sweets they had on display at the store window. The old-fashioned beautiful display reminded me of the winter holidays and enticed me to go in and try something. I decided to buy some sweet rice cake which was charged by the weight. Forgot exactly what is was called " Torta di Riso" but was something di riso as it has rice baked in it and was simply rich and delicious. They also have the famous certosino. it's a traditional Bolognese cake, which is also sort of like a western fruit cake with honey, candied fruit, stewed fruit, jam, almonds, pine nuts, cocoa powder, dark chocolate and wine syrup. The cake was not cheap but was so delicious and memorable that I vow to return when I visit Bologna again.

Yelp
Centrally located. Close to the Piazza Maggiore. Very nice and accommodating staff who answered my question patiently. They pointed me to the chewy soft cookie that I was looking for immediatel y (recchuitti). Very happy as the other bakeries in the area did not carry this chewy cookie.

Yelp
This little store specializes in sweets and fresh pasta. We randomly stumbled upon it after walking around and decided to walk in. I ended up getting a cherry tart from here and one of the candied chestnuts. All very tasty!
