Papa Johns Pizza

I ordered two pizzas. One all pepperoni and the other pepperoni, sausage, olives, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Pepperoni looked really good but the other one was very skimpy. Just a bunch of cheese to cover up or make look like it is a good pizza. And I paid for this. The employees where also arguing. Where is the manager ir the owner. 2 weeks ago they where throwing food and fighting with me and other customers waiting for our online food. Corporate needs to get involved and fix the service and quality of the food being sold at this establishment. Here are some pictures judge for yourself. Where is shaq and his commitment of quality. We had delivery. Food good. Faster delivery than expected. Food was hot when it was delivered.

A little confused when I first order. A little Indian lady answered the phone with a thick accent. Never seen her there before but okay. I could not understand her and she could barely understand me. Maybe she couldn't hear me because I was driving with music on and my kids crying in the back that they were hungry. I completed my order and she did understand it. I wanted to make it light sauce and she said it was too late that she had to transfer me to the store. ??? That's when I realized it was an Indian Call Center working for Papa Johns? I've never heard of that before but I guess PJ's are innovative. When I went inside, the cashier was overcharging me but he corrected his mistake, props for him being honest. Pizza was good, but it gave me very bad stomachaches at 3 in the morning. Not sure if it was the pizza or something else.

I ordered the Shackaroni special which is supposed to be extra large pizza. Why did I they get a large?🤦🏼‍♀️

Very unprofessional service. They gave me the wrong pizza and when I went back to get a refund or to get the pizza that I always order , they told me that they were about to close and there was nothing that they can do . I had a bad experience today at papa John’s . They didn’t took any responsibility .

I usually order from little ceasar's but they were closes this day. So glad they were. I received the best customer service I have had in a long time from this Papa John's store! My order was correct and hot when I picked it up. I don't know who does the hiring, but they need to keep it up. The girl that helped me was awesome! Wish I remembered her name so I could praise her here. Definately will be using them again!

Worst phone system ever, I’ll go somewhere else. Tried calling Covina store for pick up, somehow connected to San Clemente, barely could understand person on the phone. Horrible

Pizza is good but minus a star for the staff who checked the pizza and said there's a sauce inside when I ordered extra also! Employees need to be trained for their customer service! Another minus for finding a piece of hair stuck inside my pizza! Ewwwwwww! Employees need to put a hair up or wear a hair net!!!!

For 7.99 per customization pizza, you can't beat this deal! The service was alright, they took a while with my order because they got confused. However, the flavors are super delicious and the ingredients were very plentiful and tasty! The dough was super doughy and the crust was crispy and flavorful! Will come again for their deals!

Papa John's Pizza is always great. The quality has not changed over the years. Usually the employees are really courteous and quick to fulfill your order. We have pizza once a week. One of our top options is Papa John's! You can't miss. When craving pizza, your family will surely enjoy a Papa John's Pizza!

This business is the WORST!!! I live exactly 0.5 miles from them & they can NEVER find my address, no matter how many times I tell them. And if it doesn't come up on Google, They are Extremely Stupidly Dumb founded! My rating is zero.

I use to love this location. Quality and taste was good. It has been going down hill. Just ordered two pizzas today and the quality was terrible. No sauce or very little base for one of them. Look at pics. Suppose to be Alfredo base but there was pretty much no sauce. The crust and pizza itself was like eating cardboard. The second pizza had plenty of base sauce although it tasted more like herbs and tomato sauce. I'll stick to Dominos from now.

Happy with the pizza. No complains, Customer service was good. Gave us details on the specials for the day. Ambiance unknown as we only got for pick up.

Don't get me wrong I like Papa John's, but the service at this location oh boy not good they forgot to teach the staff customer service... the ambience inside the store. Let's say it's hot and they don't have the AC on! But the food is OK. It's Papa John's.

Employees and previous management (no longer working at location) where amazing. employees looked relax and happy to work at this location now with new manager I notice new employees and the usual team is gone. In several occasions I witnessed a lady which I believe is manager yelling at employees noticing employees stress and fear they looked unhappy. Her voice is so high you can hear her how she mentally abuses her employees. I can't believe papa John's would hire someone like that and to allow costumers to witness and hear what she tells them. If anybody witness that behavior I ask to speak up and report it on behalf of those good employees.

Pizza is good. Five cheese was good. The perfect combo of cheese. Jalapeños bites were not good.

One of the worst and uncomfortable experiences I've ever encountered here. I was just trying to get food on a Friday evening. The time waiting was not only long but uncomfortable watching the store manager yelling at her employees and even seeing physical contact being involved. Not only did I feel bad for the customers but the employees having to deal with that kind of treatment. Will never be coming back here again.

went to pick up an online order tonight and walked in on the store manager getting physical with multiple of her employees. There were many customers watching and the store manager had no shame in her actions. I'll never be coming back here as long as she remains store manager. No matter the circumstances or situation between these employees physical harm is very unprofessional in a work environment and should never be tolerated regardless of work title.

I went there with my friends after school the food was amazing we ordered 2 XL New York pizzas. The guy taking our order was super nice and just overall a nice guy. I dont know why this place doesn't have 4 or 5 stars.

On Feb 19th 2023 We Ordered 4 large Pizzas from PaPa John's West Covina. I spoke with Ramon the day before to see if I needed to called extra early because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a long wait time. He was very helpful and assured me it wouldn't be a long wait time for 4 Large Pizza's. The following day I spoke with Leslie to order them. She was very accurate and our Pizza's were done in 20 minutes. FRESH & HOT. We picked them up. The quality of the Pizza was fantastic and every said It was delicious. Better than L.S. that Pizza Pizza place. Looking forward to ordering again real soon from Papa Johns West Covina. Thanks

Perhaps the worst pizza and wings I've ever had. I ordered the thin crust Ultimate pepperoni and spicy lemon pepper wings. The pizza was more like a crispy flatbread and the wings- OMG! Where do I start? We ordered the traditional wings and each was the size of my pinkie. I think they use quail wings not chicken wings. Not sure if I want to give them another try but I think I'll pass!

The service was great. I ordered online and missed the delivery option. I called the customer service and requested to have it delivered at the hospital. Lo and behold, they accommodated my request and our food came ahead of time.

Javier wears no mask at all, during making pizzas AND while speaking to customers!!! That's ridiculous. The females wear no hairnets or hats... it's very unhygienic considering the time. Javier told me 6 minute wait for an online order and I waited half an hour... then he continued to ignore me and throw a fit because I asked where his mask was. This papa johns has gotten very disappointing.

Ordered a BBQ chicken pizza -so I thought. Oh found 5 small French fry sized slivers of chicken on it, ridiculous! A large pizza with the toppings I usually find on one slice elsewhere. The other pizza, we'll it was equally bad. Done with this place for good.

We used to like it, but it seems like they've hired a handful of different people who don't care much about quality. Worst papadia ever. Hardly anything in it and this is the 3rd time. Unfortunately I'll be going somewhere else now.

Ordered a papa D online. Went in to pick it up. The notification said it was ready but it was not ready. Received my order took it home. Opened up the box and it was pretty well overcooked. Almost to the point of being burnt. It's unfortunate because my wife really wanted to eat one and very unsatisfied.

I've been ordering delivery here for years and never had any issues. The pizzas always been hot and cooked properly. I guess I had a good batch all these years? I see all these one star reviews but I never had any issues. I went there in person a month ago and the employees were nice.

Oooh a new styled pizza I've never tried before...cool! BBQ Chicken, bacon bits and pineapple... $16.99 Fifteen minutes later, everyone is grabbing pieces, I found my bacon bits stuck in a small corner of my slice of pizza. About 1 piece of pineapple on each slice..some without any pineapple. One or two small pieces of BBQ chicken on the whole pizza. A little dried up pepper tossed in the box. Service was average.

Yesterday at 10:30 I ordered 5 pizzas for my guests and i and was told they would arrive in 40 to 50 minutes. At 11:10 I called for status but they closed!! Our pizzas never arrived!! And it was a big inconvenience because it left us all hungry! Had to scramble around to see what to feed our guests?!?! If it was too late to complete the order they should have never taken it! Please don't let this happen to you and go to dominos whose pizzas are delicious!

Ordered a pizza and wings and then the delivery driver is from postmates and she couldnt find the place and then she just ignores me and wont text back or take my calls.. i called papa johns to see whats going on and he tells me she cancels the order... horrible experience

This is by far my favorite Papa Johns branch I've been a customer of! I came by a few nights ago to pick up an online order I had placed. My order was still in the oven so I was looking around while waiting. I noticed a red poster on their wall and it was a thank you poster from a special education class that had a field trip at their location. The kids learned how to make pizza and got to take home the personal pizza that they made. I thought this was extremely nice of this location as I don't see many branches supporting their community! When my order came out, oh my god it could not have been any more perfect. The service was great and even remembered the ranch cup I bought (other locations just forget) and of course asked if I wanted Parmesan cheese and peppers! This store is clean and you can see how their staff prepares their pizza. I ordered the half pepperoni, half three cheese in a large and as I drove 20 minutes home, it was still fresh and hot! The cheese was literally pulling apart as I separated the slice from the entire pizza. Yummmm This location needs to be given more credit because their management is top notch and their service is even better. I live closer to Baldwin Park but make the drive to this location just because I enjoy their service so much. I have been disappointed many times from Baldwin Parks location and do not recommend anyone ever being their customer. GO PAPA JOHNS WEST COVINA!

THIS REVIEW IS MAINLY FOR THE BROWNIE! Okay, I'm not a big sweets person, but i LOVE brownies. I'll be damned if this wasn't one of the best brownies I've had that was not homemade. Very good recipe. Came nice and hot, fluffy and flavorful. Really good!!!!! Highly recommend. Do not recommend the pizze, ugh!!!!!!! And this is a pizza joint. Who would have thunk ?!?

This is my go to quick pizza spot. Hawaiian BBQ chicken all day. Parking is good, staff is nice and quick. One time I ordered two pizzas. Hawaiian BBQ chicken and a customized one with mushrooms. You guys forgot my mushrooms. I love mushrooms..

I was waiting for pizza for 45 minutes and when I got it delivered, I should've checked the box because as soon as I opened it I was greeted with a major disappointment. 45 minutes for a pizza that is mashed together that can't even be separated into pieces, will never come back and order here from such unprofessional handling of someone's food.

This food is so gross under cooked pizza and wings wen I called and complained they where very rude never again will I ever order anything from papa John's ever again and all there reviews are from family and friends

The guy who is making the pizza dough, has no mask on his face , they do not wear gloves to make food , when I asked for the manager to let him know about the issue , it happens to be the same guy with no mask .

Seriously couldnt get an empty pizza box , i called domino's right after no hesitation they offered me an empty pizza box and even told me they'll hold for me. now thats excellent service.. way to go papa johns for looking out for your costumers...

I don't usually review chain pizza joints, but when I do.. it's because they suck. I came here out of despair after my boyfriend dragged me to pickup some cool car part after having had the LONGEST hungriest day ever. Decided I would improvise and find a local Papa Johns we could pass by afterward, since I LOVE their pizza and we don't have one close to home. I saw 2 stars and thought, hell... I'm dizzy and feel nauseated .. I. NEED. FOOD... N O W! FORGET the 2 stars!!! HOW bad could it be?! biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig mistake. Big. Huge. I should know being a new avid Yelper. Shame on me. Ordered carryout online. Pizza was ready within 20 minutes, as promised by e-mail confrimation. I did notice the place didn't seem at all busy, no calls, nobody parked or even waiting there. Thought hmmm well it's Wednesday. Not typically a super busy pizza night. Well, being that I was that nauseated and we still had a 20 mile drive home.. I opened the box and started removing a slice. I asked my boyfriend, "Were they nice?" He said, "eh... seemed super dead too. They looked bored." Figures. Strike 1: I immediately noticed the pizza looked sorry as hell. It had very little toppings on it.. we saw more cheese than any other toppings, and we orderd SIX TOPPINGS. None were missing/forgotten... just scarce. Strike 2: When I tried removing my slice, not only had it NOT been cut completely, but the cheese seemed so "stale" and stiff (as if it were reheated), that the cheese just tore off and stuck to the rest of the pizza. Strike 3: Had no flavor. DUH... MY TOPPINGS WERE BARELY ADDED TO THE PIZZA. Strike 4: Every other slice we removed from the pizza ended up being mainly marinara and bread, since the thick nasty stale cheese would just tear like paper. UGH!!! Not to mention there was BARELY any marinara sauce. It seriously made me feel like crap, tasted awful and old. I don't have pizza often, but that's why I go to Papa Johns when I do. This place sucks. Oh my god, the pizza was over cooked. This was my first time and will be my last time to order a pizza here.

Gave a $20 tip to these workers when I went to pick up my pizza. Come to find out the regular workers do not get to take home tips. Tips are only split between the management! What BS! Managers are already getting paid more now they are splitting the tips between themselves. Thats selfish and wrong. Papa John's needs to do something about this.

The employees are so nice and helpful, they know what they are doing, and the food was delicious. Definitely coming back to this place.

Absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. It might not be particular to this location, but this is where we ordered from. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza along with some spicy buffalo wings. The pizza tasted like cardboard, the dough was tough and chewy, and the sauce was non-existent. The wings had very little sauce, so little that I had to add some from my pantry and place them in the oven. We ordered here because we had a gift card, and can tell you that we will never be getting Papa John's Pizza again. If you want pizza from one of the national chains, try Domino's. They have by far better pizza.

I was craving pizza like always and I thought about how papa johns talks about fresher ingredients. So I rolled up ordered a mushroom onions chicken on thin crust pizza. It was delicious great flavor not greasy made my mouth water thus store is very clean everyone seem to jump on board to clean or be productive. Ok now the bad thing. Thin crust only comes in large what the heck maybe I don't want a large .but it I want thin crust I gotta get a large. That's pretty stupid they need to change that stupid policy. Over all I'm pretty happy I'll be back cause I love pizza with cleaner ingredients.

We loved the pizza sauce was enough not to Little not to much. I ordered online and picked my pizza up in store. I was able to pay online which made the process even faster. Delicious fresh pizza. The girl in the front was super friendly too.

I'm more of a Pizza Hut or Shakey's person but when my friend introduced me to Papa Johns, I didn't switch to it instead it's now on my top 5 list of pizz a parlor. I go here for "to go" or just have it delivered. I like my pizza while it's hot. I need ketchup.

Great customer service, requested they have change for a 50$ bill not a problem. Called several other places who said no. Favorite pizza place love their ingredients they taste so much better than dominos. A little bit more pricey but they do have good deals and with better quality I definitely rather pay more. Pizzas kinda shrunk but hey everyone's kinda has. Wings were really good and they definitely put enough sauce. But OMG the brownies are AMAZING! So freaking good 100 times better than pizza huts brownies. Definitely my go to place

Delivery notification came in at 6:55 but the pizza was nowhere to be found. I attempted to call the store and the phone rang busy for over 30 minutes. Went over to the store and I was advised that my 26 minute estimate was supposedly 80 minutes. I was told it was on its way. When asked why it would show delivered the guy wouldn't answer. I asked why the phone rang and the person in the store said that he had 5 people on hold, but didn't seem interested in taking care of them since he was in the back make a pizza. No blinking lights or sounds were coming to the phone. Asked for franchise owners name and that was refused. Was given the managers name and told he will be in the store tomorrow. I guess I'll make a visit tomorrow. Received a call on my way home from the delivery guy and he apologized for it being late, but was told that everyone was notified that it was running behind. Pizza took 90 minutes when original estimate was 26 minutes. Overall horrible service and pizza was mediocre at best.

I used to love Papa Johns Pizza. Tried ordering delivered to my office in La Verne. For some reason, it was routed to Covina. Works, small. That was it. Arrived 30 minutes late and cold. Sauce was bland and nasty tasting. Minimal meat for the Works. Looked like it was in the over too long. Never going to this location again. Hope I don't get sick!

Called Saturday after placing an online order for delivery because we needed to change the form of payment and the guy who answered the phone said we'd have to cancel the order and re order. So we did and we placed the order again and it said it would 76 minutes before delivery. I called to ask if that was still the wait time because our pizzas were already made because we had already ordered. The guy that answered was very rude and seemed annoyed so I asked to speak to the manager instead and then he raised his voice and said "I am the manager." Mario was his name. When I asked why he was yelling he yelled even louder saying "I'm not yelling!" I told him to cancel our order. Never ordering from here again. Find yourselves a new manager papa johns. Very disappointed.

I cannot rate this place less than a 4 because I like Papa Johns pizza. This particular location has not given me any reason to give them less than a 4. Ordering on the phone for pick up has always been easy with no complications on their end. It's located in a pretty busy plaza. Sometimes it could be hard to find parking but other than that customer service is adequate.

This Papa John's had terrible service when I went there. I ordered over the phone and went to go pick up the pizza. When my partner and I walked in the doors, there were two employees who were talking to each other in Spanish at the cash register. They both looked at me, then looked back at each other and continued their conversation! They didn't say hi to me, didn't smile, didn't greet me in any way! As a matter of fact, my partner and I just stood there for what seemed like two minutes with STILL no employee asking us what we wanted until we finally went up to the counter and told them that we had already ordered our pizza! It felt like they didn't give a crap about us or what we wanted. I am very disappointed and will not be going there again. The reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because the pizza was okay. I am just complaining about the service.

I received awesome service from this location! I had originally placed a order for a couple pizzas on Sunday (1/31/16) for a couple pizzas. Turned out that the storm had knocked power out and they weren't going to be able to make any pizzas till the power was restored, so they credited my card back and gave me a credit for a free pizza. So tonight (2/2/16) I called about 7:15 to claim the pizza and spoke to Andrea, and she was very accommodating with my order and was also very pleasant to speak with on the phone. She had my order ready and delivered within a half hour. To top it off the pizza was excellent! This experience with Andrea has definitely changed my opinion on Papa John's and I will be ordering here again!
