The Best Restaurants for Over-the-Top Tomahawk Steaks

"The Beef Case is the steak that continues to break the internet. Every order gets the VIP treatment when a parade of servers march to the table, dancing to thumping music and dimmed lights, carrying the cut of steak. Once it arrives tableside, the tomahawk is branded with a hot iron. Rated an MS9+ on the marbling score charts, which is the highest a cut can be, the Australian wagyu tomahawk weighs in at 55 ounces and costs a cool $1,000. While the kitchen is cooking the steak after the show, enjoy a loaf of pretzel bread or honey-glazed pork belly. Don’t miss sides like truffle corn with idiazabal cheese and black truffle, and the indulgent $95 caviar-topped Monop Potato." - Jennifer Smith

$1,000 Steak and $95 Potato — Inside the Over-The-Top Miami Trio at Fontainebleau - Eater Vegas

"With moody floral wallpaper, rich velvet banquettes, a crystal chandelier, and a bar with a top shelf full of nothing but four-figure bottles of Louis XIII, Papi Steak brings equal parts steak and spectacle to Las Vegas. [...] The standout element at Papi Steak is its 'Beef Case.' [...] 'It was the best steak I ever had,' says Einhorn. [...] The wagyu is branded tableside and then taken back into the kitchen to cook. 'If I do a little show, people can swallow the price,' says Einhorn. 'I have to sell it for $1,000 or else I’m losing money.' Now, he often sells 20 of them a night." - Janna Karel

I visited Papi Steak in Vegas the weekend of 12/6/24 for a birthday celebration, and it did not disappoint! The lively atmosphere, complete with a DJ playing great music, set the tone for an unforgettable night. The ambience was vibrant and energetic, perfect for a special occasion. Our table tried the wagyu pastrami, which arrived in a stunning smoked glass dome. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste was just as impressive—a must-try dish! We also ordered the salmon, chicken, and New York strip entrees. Each one was cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully, and absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff ensuring our experience was smooth and enjoyable. However, keep in mind that this isn’t the place for quiet conversation—it’s quite loud. That said, the energy and overall experience were fantastic. I would definitely return!

Google
Good food, but the steaks aren't quite up to the quality we expected. The prime tasted like choice, the wagyu was more like prime. I like to serve my own sides, but the server insisted; and did a very poor inconsistent job in doing so. Beautiful interior, nicely decorated. For the price, we probably won't be back. Especially due to the overly loud music playing, to the point where we had to yell at each other to talk to each other at our own table.

Excellent experience. Our 1st time in Vegas from St. Louis and this restaurant did not disappoint in the slightest. We just got married 2:30 that afternoon and had all this planned out well ahead of time. Reservation was at 7:30 and didnt have to wait long at all to be sat at our table.Top notch staff and service. Thank you for everything.

I came with my husband and another couple on a Saturday night. Our reservation was on time. We ordered the classic steaks, lobster, tons of sides and some appetizers. I was expecting this place to have an emphasis on a loud atmosphere and lack of quality of food. I was wrong. The food was amazing from a to z. Everything we had was cooked perfectly. Yes, this place is loud. But the vibes were extremely fun and we were entertained the whole time. Servers worked together to bring everything out and our main server I forgot his name but he’s an Italian man, he was funny and witty and treated us like old friends. About 7 people around us ordered the 1000k steak in the suitcase so they make a huge loud ordeal and that was fun to watch during our 3 hour meal. A well known dj sat at the table next to us with his group and he ordered the massive cart with the live crab and that was an ordeal as well. All of it was fun. Everyone was dressed up nicely and there were couples of all ages around from young to older. If you choose to complain about the prices and want to have an in debth quiet conversation this place isn’t for you. If you want amazing food, and a really fun experience then come to papi steak. This is one restaurant I will be back to enjoy again.

Love the design and decor of this place. So much fun! The service was great. Although it's an upscale restaurant, casual attire is fine. Was able to get in with no reservations but it was midweek. I was disappointed in the food. I ordered a filet cook as requested but had no flavor, and neither did the sides have any flavor. My husband ordered the chicken, which was delicious. The amount of chicken severed on that plate is easy shareable. We won't be back, but it seemed to be a great experience for a bday they really go out singing.

Google
Papi Steak was a phenomenal experience. As a Vegas local this is must if you are in town not only do you enjoy a delicious dinner but also with a show! We had dinner reservations for a friend's birthday and were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The ambiance is nice and they have a dj so it's a party like setting. The waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu and his suggestions were really helpful. The hamachi crudo was a great suggestion for an appetizer. We ordered drinks and they came out fast and were delicious. Some of the food comes out with an epic presentation like the steak in the briefcase such a cool show for those who are celebrating a special occasion and want to do just dinner and not a club. All of the food was amazing the mac and cheese and waygu pastrami are must haves .For dessert Papis chocolate cake is truly mouthwatering. Overall service was excellent even with it being so busy their wait staff was very attentive and consistently friendly. Highly recommend!

Google
The atmosphere is like a Vegas club and sets you up for a Vegas vibe. The service was amazing. Everyone worked as a team and presented the food well and were very detailed. The food was outstanding. The steak had a charred outside with velvety center and perfectly cooked medium. The stuffed lobster had a little crispy kick to the crab and was also amazing. The presentation of the tiger prawns was very nice and the dark chocolate shuffle was excellent along with the presentation of it. We definitely will be back next time we are in Vegas. This is my new favorite steak restaurant.

It was an amazing dining experience for our group of friends, our server Chris was helpful, patient and very knowledgeable of the Papi Steaks entire menu. The atmosphere was lit with a house DJ, we ordered our drinks and they came out fast and were fantastic. The Wagyu Tomahawk comes out with an epic presentation (shoutout to RJ!) like the steak in the briefcase comes with the entire staff dance party. This place is highly recommended even for those who are celebrating a special occasion.

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday dinner at Papi Steak, and it was an unforgettable experience! The decor is pure luxury--every detail exudes elegance and sophistication. The service was impeccable, never missing a beat, and the waitstaff truly elevated the evening. We shared the boneless ribeye, which was cooked to perfection with a stunning crust that sealed in all the flavor. The gooey mac and cheese and creamy mashed potatoes were divine, pairing beautifully with the steak. Served family-style, the portions were ideal for two people, making it a satisfying and balanced meal. The cocktail I ordered was perfectly mixed, refreshing, and well worth the price. From the ambiance to the food and drinks, everything was flawless. Papi Steak knows how to deliver an exceptional dining experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out!

Yelp
One of the prettiest restaurants! It's a festive vibe with fine dining service. I'd recommend for a group outing or fun date, it's not an intimate/romantic setting. The music is loud and fun, and depending on what some tables order, they will receive a bottle table experience with sparklers and bottle service girls. A reservation is definitely recommended. The food was absolutely delicious! Just what one would want in a solid steakhouse. Crab Cake: 10/10 (so much crab!) Pork Belly: 9/10 NY Strip: 10/10 Mac n cheese: 10/10 Baked potato w/caviar: 9/10 (must try!) Broccolini: 10/10 Lemon cake: 10/10

Yelp
So we're frequent Vegas visitors and a big part of our trip is fine dining. We decided to try something different and thought Papi Steak would be fun. It wasn't. We arrived well dressed and on time, we were directed to the bar, which was fine but as we stepped into the dining room we noticed a lot of poorly dressed people - t-shirts with crass logos, and a lot of kids. Far from the roped entrance vibe they're giving off. I thought weird but we'll be accommodated as a couple with a good table - we weren't. The hostess led us to a corner table next to a very busy waiter station. I've got one major rule in an expensive restaurant - don't take a bad table. This had to be the worst table in the house, stuffed next to a bunch of other two tops and buzzing with staff. I told our hostess, nicely, we're not sitting here. She said she's see what she could do - another trip to the bar. After 10 minutes or so she came back and directed us to another table, another cramped two top next to a family with small children. My wife and I told the hostess if she didn't have anything better we'd leave. She was very apologetic and said she'd talk to a manager. A few moments later she returned and said that was all they could offer - so we left. Papi might be fun, but at 8pm on a Saturday night it was far from the club experience we thought we were getting. Compare this to Delilah @ Wynn and there's no comparison - I think they're both going for the same market/crowd. Vegas is a transactional town, we're willing to pay for a great experience, but if that doesn't happen I'm not spending time or money dealing with it because there are a million other places. We ended up at Don's downstairs and had a good meal, but not what we had hoped for. Fontainebleau is a beautiful property but the delivery isn't quite there. I'll save that for a separate review.

Yelp
After catching a Knights game, my girl and I decided to check out Papi Steak, and let me tell you--the vibes are unmatched! From the moment we walked in, the energy was great, with good tunes and classy, stylish decor that made the whole experience feel elevated. We started with some bread and butter that has "Papi" stamped on it--such a cool and unique touch! For appetizers, we had the tuna tartare and honey-glazed pork belly. The pork belly literally melts in your mouth--absolutely amazing--and the tuna was fresh and full of flavor. For our main course, we shared a bone-in New York strip topped with chimichurri, and it was cooked to perfection. On the side, we had mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and mac and cheese, and every bite was indulgent and delicious. One standout detail is that they serve the food for you at the table, adding an extra touch of class to the experience. To drink, I had "El Padrón," a refreshing cucumber-flavored cocktail that paired perfectly with the meal. Also, a nice bonus--they serve glass Coke, which always hits differently! Our server, Bobby, took amazing care of us and made the night extra special with his attentive and friendly service. As an added bonus, the restaurant has a lively atmosphere, with girls dancing on the bar, making it an even more fun and energetic place to dine. If it's your birthday, they can make it a big celebration with a sign and music, but just note it's not complimentary--you have to pay for it. I'm not sure of the price, but it's worth asking if you want to make your night extra special. I also think they do something similar if you order the "gold steak." This spot really knows how to deliver an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, a fun atmosphere, and a touch of class. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
My husband made a reservation here for our anniversary based on the conversation with the dining agent for the Lafontaine Blue Resort and they did not disappoint! Now we've been to our fair share of high end steakhouses and this one not only made our night special but delightful as well. The staff greater welcomed us and let us take pictures (memories)! The table staff introduced everyone who would take care of us and took time to explain everything on the menu that we had questions about and even made great recommendations. The food was the absolute best that we have had in all of the high-end restaurants that we've been to and we've been to a few. The only feedback that I have is the sides could've been a tad bit larger, considering they were shareable. We wanted to see the show that was nightly, but I think because we went during the weekday, it may have only happened on the weekends, but overall hands-down excellent excellent excellent!! I would truly recommend for a wonderful experience, just understand the price point is a little steep, but you will undoubtedly enjoy every minute!

Yelp
Another steakhouse on the strip with a DJ and some entertainment. Dim lights, nice setting. The place was playing all the jams from the early 2000s. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves with the music alone. We ordered everything to share. Pork belly, bone marrow, ribeye, salmon, truffles corn, and mashed potatoes. Pork belly was braised and it was okay. It tasted kind of bland to me. The bone marrow on the other hand was the opposite, and a bit too much flavor. It seemed as if there were more toppings on the bone marrow to where I could barely taste the bone marrow itself. It's like placing a bunch of toppings on a dog like too much sauerkraut, relish, and sauces on a dog... I barely tasted the bone marrow. The salmon and lemon sauce with potatoes and caviar tasted great. I love the lemon sauce, diced potatoes, and caviar that came with the salmon. The salmon was super tender and cooked medium. Mashed potatoes were on point too; very soft, not too dense, and perfect amount of salt. Truffle corn was fantastic as well. Unfortunately, the table decided to share a ribeye with a well done temperature, so I can't speak for how awesome the steak could have been. I prefer my steaks medium rare. We got an awesome dessert tower, which includes creme brûlée with strawberry caviar, chocolate mousse cake, lemon cake, assorted fruits and chocolate.

Yelp
4 of us went here for dinner, and had never been. I have to say the decor/aesthetic was absolutely out of this world amazing. Just elaborate and well done. The hostess was so accommodating. Our server was top notch, answered all questions and had wonderful recommendations. (One of them was that 4 of us could split the wedge salad, and we should have listened!!) The wine list is very extensive and the sommelier was helpful as knowledgeable and we had a delicious bottle of wine. We had the wagyu filet. And it was amazing. Cooked to perfection. And we added the Oscar option. All of the sides were in Le Creuset crocks (again 10/10 presentation) they were a little on the cool side temp wise. But I would recommend the mushrooms, truffle corn and the creamed spinach. I didn't care for the pretzel bread. If you haven't been. You should go. Even on a Monday night 5 people ordered the $1000 steak and it's quite the production. And I failed to mention the in house DJ who killed it. Papi steak is very much THE experience.

Yelp
I was super impressed with Papi Steakhouse. Everything was delicious. The DJ had the vibes going on just right while having and an amazing dinner, and our server was great. Make sure to make resos a few days in advance. To start it off we tried the crab cake, tuna tartare and the honey glazed pork belly. Out of the three the crab cake and the tuna tartare favorite. The crab cake was delicious. Maybe one of the best I've had. For dinner we went with the Papi Steak tomahawk. They sous vide the tomahawk and cook it to perfection. With a delicious glaze sauce that paired up perfectly with the steak. For sides we went with the lobster mac and cheese, whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were so good, they added some chopped chiles on top for some spice and some bacon in there for even more flavor. Definitely my favorite. Over all Papi Steak was all amazing.

Yelp
NOT RECOMMEND definitely disappointed, bad service from bartender. I got a really really bad steak. here's a picture to show spoke with the manager, and she comped the steak, which she was nice, but definitely experience was let down I asked the bartender to smoke a whiskey and he reply they were too busy to do that. They make too many a day. Not once he asked if we needed anything while eating My steak was the worst I've ever eaten in my life full of hard SORRY it feels like they have popularity and they don't really care to deliver Great service.
google avatar

Jojo M.

Yelp
The hostesses were very snobby and never smiled . Did not say bye when we left. This is our 1st impression The establishment is beautiful. But it feels very club like. Dark and dim with people dressed to go clubbing afterwards. The tomahawk we purchased was drenched in a dark almost like a teriyaki sauce. We were looking for a quality steak. I guess this is not the place for that. I feel this place is more for show. An appetizer for $95 , or a dessert for $1000 to $4000, a steak for a $1000. We couldn't get those btw. Too outrageous for us. Expect to spend at least $500 to $1000 just for 2. Not worth it.

Yelp
Located within the Fontainebleau, sits the steakhouse/nightspot known as Papi steak. This place is beautiful inside and almost gives off nightclub vibes... I found the food and service to be amazing, pricey, but amazing! Will totally come back several times in the coming months. Some of the reviews seem to point out bad service and angry hostesses, that was not my experience at all...
google avatar

Dean Y.

Yelp
The DJ is so loud that you can't hear your date so you end up texting each other. Overall food quality is suspect but definitely not worth the prices. Lamb chops are priced at $98. Wedge for salad $29. Salad again at $29!? On top of that I ordered a coke and it never arrived and my doggy bag also never came and they had to search and find my bag in the kitchen. Then we got food poisoning probably from the $59 salmon. My dog had some and she diarrhea all over the doggy relief area. Just epic! Probably the worst steakhouse I have ever experienced.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Vibe good, love the birthday celebration thing they do. Food not bad but the price is so overpriced even for Las Vegas standards lol. I liked their stuff, just not for that price. The cake they gave our birthday boy was lit though!
google avatar

Felicity C.

Yelp
Very flashy and modern vibes and interior design, kinda feel like night club in some way. The $1K (55 oz) beef case MS9+ Australian purebred wagyu tomahawk comes with quite a show, again, just like the night club, when you book a table. The restaurant will dim the lights and the staff come to the table with a golden box. Inside the golden box sits the raw piece of the tomahawk. The staff will then engrave the golden mark before sizzling it. Pretty cool experience if you're in the luxurious mood.
google avatar

Leslie T.

Yelp
Great place for drinks and entertainment. Food was good but I've had better. All in all, good vibes and music. It's like a supper club more than a steak house. It is Vegas though, so can't complain.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Awesome! Worth every penny spent. The Caesar salad, pork belly, and crab cake are chef's . For my entree I had the lobster pasta. Delicious!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Let me start by saying Papi is an experience...you go for the amazing DJ, to see the sexy entertainment, and to people watch. You do not go for the food, which is kind of sad to say, considering the prices! Experience is the new dinning, but I still wanna enjoy my food. I preface this statement with being from Texas where I know we cook different, flavorful, we take pride in some meat and this was in Las Vegas where the show is more important. Service is stellar and I appreciate all the attention to detail. I was shocked witness someone from our table order a Don Julio Reposado and receive a Blanco. These types of mix ups shouldn't ever happen when we're in an "elevated dinning experience". But we went, we saw, we def would not go back. That will be a challenge for Papi. Return business because once the sparkles are done, it's just to the food and it just wasn't that great.

Yelp
Similar to other's disappointing experience, we found a lot of hype and wow factor, but poor on the quality, service, and follow-through. The atmosphere/decor was big, spacious glam modern. Everything was new of course as is the building. The lighting tended to be on the darker side like many a steakhouse, but it swung between dark and very dark as the table service for the 1k tomahawks seemed to come out every 15 minutes. They dimmed the lights a la "bottle service" parties, bumped the music, and it was hard not to look at the servers coming out, chanting, with lights blazing, especially because it's a little harder to see you food at the same time. Good for them for selling the premium steaks and service so frequently on a weekend night, but the luster faded for us after the first or second time. The loudness factor also made it hard to talk to waiter and som without shouting and wonder how much that contributed to errors. Service was poor and should have been a lot better for the hype and price point. Our server was around less than would be desired and the assistants and covering folks were often confused or seemed overly busy and listless. Getting water refills, uneven delivery of meals (e.g., one of us waiting a while -- even took long with "rush" order marked on the bill), forgetting of sides we'd ordered, and delay (and meh experience) of som getting to our table were illustrative examples. My rib cap steak was undercooked (very rare instead of medium rare) and it came back ashy and pretty much inedible. One of our filets was overcooked. Server and maitre d simply shrugged their shoulders. And we just ate things to get the heck out of there as further deliberations and waiting wasn't helpful and didn't seem like it would go anywhere. Food was okay but just okay besides the doneness of the steaks. The papi chopped was strongly recommended by our waiter and from other reviews, but it wasn't special. The sides of truffled corn, brussels, and whipped potato were pretty boring and lacked flavor or pizzaz. The hype of papi steak thought we'd experience some big bold flavors or at least rich, umami... and nothing. Your average steakhouse chain does all three of these sides better. Pretzel bread was interesting but nothing to write home about. The snake river farms filet was high quality, not surprisingly. The other filet and rib cap were seemingly of okay quality but the doneness issues prevented enjoyment. Drinks were okay. We ended up not ordering a bottle of wine with the delay in som coming to the table and our second course/mains hitting the table before we got to talk to them though did get a by the glass for $35 which was decent. The Don Draper was a decent cocktail, too. Papi Mule -- meh. Price is too high for what you get but within the range of average to somewhat premium steakhouses. Hard to justify when you can get quality steak and dining at world renowned institutions in the same neighborhood for the same or less, or get really high premium experiences for a little more. We won't be coming back. Too many other fun things to try or more tried and true awesome steakhouses.

Yelp
This review is based on a single visit on 5/24/24. - Ambience: Club-like. I think the red velvet rope at the front is supposed to create an air of exclusivity, but it feels a little contrived. Note for men: there is a dress code insofar as you will be turned away if you are wearing shorts. The same may be applicable to women too, but I can't confirm. - Food: Very good. Granted, you aren't going to get as much value for your $ on the Strip, but I went in with those expectations. If you don't mind splurging a bit, this is a great place to do just that. We weren't super hungry so went with a few small plates. My fave was definitely the Steak & Eggs - Wagyu steak tartare atop thick slices of brioche, which are then topped with caviar - indulgence. - Service: Attentive and professional. - General Vibe: This is a see-and-be-seen place for sure, they encourage people to splash out on the Wagyu Tomahawk and make a huge production every time someone does. Not my vibe per se, but probably exciting and fun for people who enjoy that sort of thing.

Yelp
This was probably one of the most fun and delicious dinners I have had in a long time! Be warned, it is loud! It's basically like a club..the DJ was playing great music and seemed to cater to an older crowd which was really fun. They have dancers that do performances every hour, which was a fun surprise! What really surprised us is how good the food was...we thought it was all about show and entertainment but the food was great. The pastrami holy moly, amazing! The crab stuffed lobster was amazing too! My husband got the rib cap and said it was one of the best he's had. We finished with the strawberry and cream crème brûlée, it was incredible! We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I actually really enjoyed Papi Steak and it had nothing to do with how over the top it was. The food was actually just really good. While at the bar I received friendly service and had a delicious mocktail. For dinner I had a perfectly cooked steak and my group split a number of salads and sides and they were all delicious. Dinner service was pretty good and the ambiance was fun (dinner party). It is LOUD so it can be hard to converse bu I knew that'd be the case going in so not a big deal. I'd recommend and I'd go again.

Yelp
I went down from my room for a simple steak. They had a DJ turnin it up, celebrities in the room. The drinks were great and the food was good too. The Caesar salad could've been easier to eat if it were cut up some but I get it for the look. Overall great experience. Service was great as well.

Yelp
Service is great. Absolutely everyone was on their A game. We never needed or wanted anything as the staff was "on it". Food is good. I'm jaded because my husband cooks the best reverse seared steak at home. We had to try one of their steaks anyway.... It was good. Did it blow my mind as the best thing ever.... No. But it was good. The dry aged NY steak, medium rare was prepared perfectly. Good texture and flavor. No complaints. Obviously they specialize in steak and have a number of different ones to enjoy. Their "claim to fame" is the $1000 Tomahawk. Clearly we didn't order that. 1) just the 2 of us and it feeds like 6... and 2) I don't have that kind of budget to blow on a steak. They also have an over the top $1000 "Louis" baked Alaska dessert that they do tableside. (We didn't order it but I had to ask our server about it when I saw it on the menu. We also did not see anyone order it either but the night was young.) We did see several groups order the Tomahawk tho... So we saw the presentation several times which was fun. This is the place to come for Ballers and if you are looking for something unique and have money to make it rain.

What an experience! Papi Steak is exactly what it describes: Good food, good drinks, and upbeats house/techno music. Ambience is like you are in a night club but with a full service of bar and food! We ordered: Rib Eye steak, Wagyu Rib Eye Cap, mushrooms, and potatoes - all food was excellent and made to its perfection. Steaks were very well made and all the sides had its own distinct flavors. Service was good and our food came in right amount of time! Definitely a place to try it out. Surely recommend this place!

Yelp
Don't let the name of Papi's Steak fool you. This gem is located on the second floor of the Fontainebleau and it is luxurious. With its dark walls and flowered wallpaper to huge chandelier and low lighting, the ambiance is sexy and comfortable. The inside vibe with the female servers in flapper dresses and the decor in the 1920's Gatsby style makes it seem like you're going back in time; however the DJ and modern pop music brings you back to today. They serve some interesting dishes; one of them was the Wagyu pastrami appetizer. Talk about melt in your mouth! I could eat a whole slew of this and not get tired of it. We opted for the bone-in New York steak, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. All of it was a party for my tastebuds and I just wanted to keep eating. They had a 55-65 oz Tomahawk called The Briefcase which was $1000, and if you ordered it, the staff came out and announced it to the whole restaurant with a song, clapping, and cheering. It was quite the scene--at least four of these were ordered during our time there as well as the $1000 baked Alaska (which was a whole other song and affair). This made the vibe lively and our experience one to remember.

Yelp
Great experience from the moment we walked in the door. We were blown away by the presentation, quality of food, and entertainment in the restaurant. Service was great, too. I had the lobster tagliatelle and my husband had a filet which he said was the best he's ever had. We don't usually get excited about food, but we loved Papi Steak and will definitely go back!

Yelp
Such a great time ! Perfect for a group. Ordered the wagyu Pastrami, King Crab, Ribeye and the mashed potatoes were insane. Love this spot . Server was fantastic, not sure his name but he's in the vid

Yelp
Ridiculously expensive, food was ok, Nothing special. Wines by the glass way overprice. I Regret going. There are better options on the strip. One and done.

Yelp
I got invited here for a friend's birthday. I knew it was a steakhouse but I didn't know it was THIS kind of steakhouse. This was more club/steakhouse vibe, which I didn't mind at all. The experience was cool. The food is pricey and I honestly don't think it's worth the price. The service was not very good. The server was nice but we barely saw him. We needed an extra fork and it was so hard to wave someone down. They're all in a rush there not paying attention to their tables.

Yelp
What an amazing experience from start to finish. Now this place I call well worth the crazy $$$$ we spend in Vegas! We had tickets to U2 at the Sphere, and didn't have reservations. But we got there by 5:30 and were seated. We were guests at the Fountainbleau, maybe that helped. Seated way in the back, and only diners so far (rest went to the bar). But it quickly got busy, and tables were packed within 30-45 minutes! Our server was wonderful. Checked on us, gave us great recommendations, friendly, and fun. Really enjoyed her. The food was stellar. As well as the presentation. We started off with cocktails. Overall, such a fun and lively atmosphere, with great service. Very pricey, but you are at a top restaurant and it was well worth it.

Yelp
Came to papi steak and the front staff was rude, condescending, and dismissive from the moment we walked in. They clearly don't care about creating a welcoming atmosphere or the restaurant's reputation. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
Wow this place is off the chain if you're into the night club scene this is the perfect spot. Absolutely stunning decor Impeccable service Outstanding gourmet food With live entertainment dancing girls Singing server's Plenty of staff If you're looking for a exciting experience with loud music hip people you have to get to this spot, of course its $$$$, but well worth it just for the experience alone. We had a managers dinner Friday night and the place was jumping. Excellent atmosphere with great energy. Ambience galore!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Papi Steak in Las Vegas is a culinary experience like no other! The Wagyu pastrami was literally melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the truffle creamed corn was the perfect side dish - it was the best I've ever had! The pièce de résistance was the $1000 "Beef Case" Wagyu tomahawk, which was truly insane. The presentation was breathtaking, and the atmosphere was electric. While it's certainly expensive, it's an experience worth splurging on. Our servers, Matt and Jon, were top-notch and ensured our every need was met. And don't even get me started on the espresso martini - it was the perfect way to cap off an incredible meal. If you're looking for a unique and indulgent dining experience in Las Vegas, Papi Steak is a must-visit. Be prepared to splurge, but know that it's worth every penny. Shout out to Matt and Jon for exceptional service - we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
A nice new steakhouse for Las Vegas. This is not your typical steakhouse, the decor and the vibe are completely Vegas, fun, loud, and uninhibited. From the reception outside of the restaurant to the hosts, to the servers, we were greeted with smiles and class. Our table wasn't quite ready, so we were escorted to the bar and ordered our first drink there. Our bartender Cassie was awesome. So welcoming and went over the drink menu with me, I was the first person to order their new drink that was just added to the menu that evening, The Dirty Rotten Scoundrel. A Remy Martin-based drink, it's delicious and I hope it stays on the menu because I want it again. Hubby had the Papi Mojito which was also delicious. We weren't at the bar long, before the hostess came to retrieve us and escort us to our table. I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed when we were shown our table. They have all the 2 tops lined up together. So one person sits on the banquet side and one in a chair across a tiny table. I had to squeeze between the adjacent table to take my seat at the banquet. This is NOT a romantic setting for a couple, you are basically on top of each other. The caveat is, that since it's so loud in the restaurant, you can't hear the other couple's conversations, and you have to speak loudly to hear your conversation with your date. Our server was at our table tout sweet, he was the only person who was not friendly. He was never rude but no smile, and no introduction. We never got his name. The odd thing is he came and "educated" my husband on how to order off the menu. I guess he thought we had never been to a steakhouse before. He was odd. His runner however was a gem, she was so sweet and always on top of things. We followed the server's "instructions" and ordered starters, then our entrees and our sides. Amazing, I never knew that's how you ordered at a steakhouse.. LOLOL We started with the Golden Osetra Caviar, absolutely delicious, they are not generous with the blini's and I found myself piling on the caviar to make sure I had something to eat it all up with. We also ordered the bone marrow starter, I wish we didn't get this. It didn't have any of that gooey fat running out of it. The lighting is very dim, so it was difficult to see what they had done with it, but we didn't enjoy it. The toast points served with it should have been with our caviar, that was good. Service moves quickly here, it's not a leisurely dinner, as soon as you finish a dish they remove it and bring the next one quickly. Our entrees appeared magically. Hubby ordered the lamb chops, I ordered the boneless rib eye with a Point Reyes crust. Two problems I had right off the bat, my rib eye was COATED with just pure blue cheese. I love blue cheese, but this was so much I couldn't taste my steak. The second issue was that they pre-sliced the steak before they brought it to you. I wish they had told us about this, I do not like my steak pre-cut for me. I have pretty good knife skills and can do this myself. Now my leftovers are dried up and I didn't have them for breakfast. Not the best steak I've ever had. It was decent, but not worth the money it costs IMO. Hubby disliked his lamb. It was gamey and not seasoned. The real winners were the sides. We absolutely LOVED the mac n cheese and the whipped potatoes. The mac n cheese with Gruyere is so freaking good. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts and the french fries. They were good too, I felt the fries were too salty, but hubby liked them. We did not have dessert but took a look at the menu. There is a $1000 Baked Alaska on the menu, Which brings me to the cost of dinner here. It is not inexpensive. With drinks and caviar, etc, it was over $600 for both of us. I think we will go back, but we want to sit at the bar, where we can hear each other and have light fare. I would love to go back for the caviar service, drinks, and maybe a couple of sides. I have attached pictures of their bathroom, it's a beautiful bathroom but ladies, the lighting is so bad that you can not reapply lipstick with a visual there.

Yelp
Ok so I am in my 30s and it was wayyyyy too loud for a restaurant. There were girls on stage dancing half naked and the DJ was on all night. The waitress came over and literally said "ok put your orders in fast because you're about to not hear anything". I feel like I ordered whatever she recommended because I was pressured into ordering fast. The food was pretty mediocre, I will say the dirty martini was excellent just because of the blue cheese stuffed olives. Not a place I would return to.
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
Yes, all the reviews about the DJ being loud are 100% accurate. We were all part of a group and had no choice and weren't looking forward to this dinner...and was wrong. It's all about your attitude! It's about embracing the show, having fun, and enjoying a wonderful, but very expensive, meal. The service was phenomenal and never missed a beat either.

Yelp
Dinner here was an experience. Like what a lot of the other reviewers say, this place does have a very club feel. Every 30 min a group of staff comes out and seems to celebrate someone ordering the suitcase steak, iykyk lol. The food is great and pricey just as expected, at least they were delicious! The service was good and attentive as well. Dont expect to have a conversation while dining aince the music can be loud which is the vibe of the restaurant. Great to have experienced it but, its not my natural type of place. Definitely fun though.

Yelp
WSOP Day 2 The WSOP always begins and ends with poker buds gathering over giant cuts of cow. Jackets over half buttoned shirts, dress slacks, oxfords with no socks and shades at night. Douchiness at level 11, time to hit up Miami's Papi Steak here in Vegas. Flamboyant bordering on ostentatious with loud music. Try to block it out because the food is excellent. Two standout starters: - "Steak and Eggs" - Take hand cut wagyu, add truffle aioli, top with a generous spoonful of osetra caviar and set atop a toasted brioche. Delicious decadence with the sweet rich beef fat mixing with the salty, yolky goodness of the caviar. - "Wagyu Pastrami" - Beautifully brined, gently smoked, perfectly steamed. Incredible flavor throughout dripping with fatty richness that helps carry the flavor. Smear it with the provided house made mustard for the perfect zing. No complaints on the meaty crab cake with a perfectly matched dijon burre blanc or the well thought out hamachi crudo complimented by a citrus ponzu and served with crispy shallots for textural contrast. Three types of steaks on offer; USDA Prime, SRF American wagyu and Japanese A5. Here for classic American beef so Prime it is. The 48oz dry aged porterhouse (aging time not specified but seems short as there is no real bleu cheese funk), beefy, juicy, and tender as expected. Not well trimmed. Sear is not as pronounced as it could be (grill marks) so caramelized goodness isn't fully developed. Cooked to temp. Sauces and crust options available, as a purist, none sampled. Solid steakhouse sides. No complaints on the very cheesy mac and cheese, truffle corn or maitake. Service is restaurant proper but not steakhouse proper. Weak upsell ability ATM. Very good wine list with some vintage depth. Lots of gems including grand cru Burgundy and 1st growth Bordeaux. Typical resort markup. A good mid tier steakhouse stronger with creative starters than blow your mind steaks. Those who love the Nusr-Et or STK experience, Papi's delivers.

Yelp
Tried this place last night for a few drinks and apps. It's a very club like steakhouse. Super loud they have a DJ. Really fun though. Our server was great. The restaurant is really pretty. I would go back and have dinner next time

Yelp
First time here to the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant had a cool vibe with live DJ, ladies dancing on the bar, and a party like presentation when bringing out their $1k steak to the purchasing table. There was 6 of us and we ordered family style. It's a great way to try many of their different dishes. The 3 that stood out to me was their wagyu pastrami, baked potato with caviar and their boneless ribeye. Service was great and restaurant was busy on a Saturday night. Make reservations in advance!

Yelp
I recently visited Papi Steak with a group of 8, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We originally made a reservation for 7, but had an additional guest join us last minute. The staff was rude and repeatedly told us they couldn't accommodate the change, even though we were all already there. After some back and forth, they eventually told us to wait at the bar while they "figured it out," but it was clear they had no intention of doing so. I saw multiple tables open that could have easily seated our group, yet we were purposely ignored. To make matters worse, the manager, Jessica, was particularly unprofessional and dismissive. You don't treat customers this way, especially at a restaurant with such a reputation. The entire experience left a bad taste, and I would not recommend Papi Steak to anyone expecting good service or basic courtesy. Not to mention, today I woke up to a $400 charge when I didn't even dine there and the manager said we were not going to be charge. I will be disputing and reporting to BBB for their unfair business practices.

Yelp
The food and ambiance was everything I wanted and more! The bartender and waiter's were amazing. 4/5 starts because the hostess was extremely unfriendly and initially gave me a bad impression, but happy I continued on with my reservation. Additionally, I was provided with the dress code requirements when I made the reservation and once inside the restaurant, I saw many individuals in attire which was not in line with the dress code. Requirements should be enforced at all times by everyone otherwise, it becomes a discriminatory practice.

Yelp
Papi steak is a cross of a nightclub & a fine dining experience. They have a live DJ throughout the night & be prepared for the sirens they play - it's your signal that one of the tables dining cashed out on a papi steak tomahawk gold case! Music is loud & is more of a party-feel during dinner, so don't expect an intimate feel. We ordered the boneless ribeye, truffle corn, and Mac & Cheese to share. I also recommend the broccolini to pair your sides and meat. Overall, love to be able to splurge a bit with great food & good vibes. A good way to kick off the night in Vegas.

Yelp
I would only eat here on corporate dime due to the Vegas prices. This is located inside La Fountaine Bleu a new resort. They put on a great fun presentation when you order the group meal. Decor and ambience are eclectic fancy and fun. The king crab, pastrami and steak were excellent. Make a reservation in advance if you have a group.

Yelp
Spent my 40th Birthday here and we had a blast!!! The food was amazing ! Yes, we got the $1,000 Steak! It was worth it and I felt special! If people go to Vegas and waste money on gambling, I can spend money on food and experience. Our servers were incredible and attentive and the music was great. This place definitely got all spectacle without dealing with drunk douche bags at the club. I'm too old for that stuff.
