The Best Restaurants In Fulham

"The warm atmosphere of this homely Italian restaurant on Fulham High Street is evident when peeking through the window on a Friday evening. You'll see couples sharing arancini in the cosy-looking dining room, and servers rushing between tables balancing pizzas. But it’s even more prevalent when you’re sat inside Pappa Ciccia’s simple dining room with a bowl of piping hot mozzarella-filled aubergine parmigiana, while locals pop in and out for takeaway pizzas or bruschetta starters. It’s open every day of the week but if you want the best experience, come on the weekend when it’s most lively." - rianne shlebak

The Best London Restaurants With Their Own Delivery Service | Eater London

"Having served the local area for the past 25 years, Pappa Ciccia has two pizzeria-trattorias in Fulham, plus a takeaway and delivery branch in Putney. The family-run business also shuns delivery apps, delivering the old-fashioned way. A huge menu of various Italian restaurant classics are available, but the wood-fired pizzas are the main draw, with much of the produce imported from Italy, while compassionately farmed produce is also utilised where possible. Failsafe classics are offered alongside specials, such as a base topped with mozzarella, spinach, red onion, Parma ham, egg, and Parmesan. All pizzas can be customised, though it’s worth noting those with fewer ingredients tend to travel better." - Jonathan Hatchman

A local place convenient for the location! The calamari starter was absolutely amazing! The pastas were good. But we were a little disappointed by the pizza, which is the main for an Italian restaurant. It was a little overcooked and the base hard. The price was also a little high compared to other Italian places around.

My 50th birthday dinner party at Pappa Paccia was simply phenomenal. From the impeccable service to the mouth-watering food, every detail was perfectly crafted to create an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was just so friendly, making the experience all the more enjoyable for me and my family. I cannot recommend this place enough.

My pasta was too dry. Pizza was much better. Place itself is quite small. Staff is working hard, but our table wasn't cleared from dirty dishes for a very long time. I believe they were overbooked, but from that customers were suffering, from not the best service provided. Even when I asked to pay I was waiting for my bill for like 40mins.

Every time Fulham plays, you’ll find us here indulging in what we confidently can say is some of the most amazing pizza and food around! The atmosphere is just perfect for pre-game excitement. Highly recommend to any fan looking for a delicious start to their match day experience!

Quick lunch here. Nice food but lacked a bit of seasoning. Quiet place. Good portions. Overall decent restaurant to eat, would probably try a different dish if I was to go back.

I was here few months ago I was here for lunch and it was very good Today (after refurb) it was total disappointment Pizza very average, quite thick and very salty. I have ordered freshly squeezed orange juice just to get concentrated one. Service not very bothered with our presence. Will not come back. It was very good place, sadly not anymore...

Hey! My Friend had pizza here like 10 months ago and she literally hyped it so much and we decided to go last evening! I swear to god I didn’t have that worst pasta which I had here, My all excitement went in garbage lol. it was literally tasteless and I payed them extra to add shrimps and guess what I only got 3 shrimps like seriously?!!! lol. so disappointed, we also ordered one Margarita my friend was like the pizza she had last time was definitely mot made by same chef probably as this one was that worst.

Yelp
Incredible food, lovely attentive staff and a beautiful dining experience! I couldn't recommend a better place to eat in Fulham.

Yelp
Pappa Ciccia has great food, and they provide it in vast quantities, a quality I definitely appreciate in an Italian restaurant. They also do BYO, but their house red is quite good and most likely the same price as buying a bottle and then paying corkage (that's my tip), I haven't tried the white though so can't comment there. Each table gets a basket of fresh bread and olive oil complimentary, if you request more you'll be charged for each extra basket. The pizzas are delicious. My personal favourite is the Rustica, the aubergine really beefs up your vegetable intake at lunch too. Although if you can, I'd try to split a pizza, they are full-size and very filling. The pasta menu is great too, in which I am including the Pollo Alla Milanese. It's chicken, as you might've guessed, served crumbed and pan fried like a schnitzel, served with a side (a massive side) of spaghetti bolognese. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. At lunchtime they also have lots of take away options on the counter - including cakes and cookies which I'm yet to try, but they look amazing. So they lose one star for the same reason that most Italian restaurants do. Slow and/or erratic service. Not terrible, just a bit inconsistent. I still love you though Pappa Ciccia.

Yelp
Totally and utterly disagree with the negative review below. We actually found this place through Just Eat and were blown away by the standard of the pasta delivered to us. We then visited to eat there a few weeks back on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately, and the tiny place was buzzing and had a great vibe. We had bruschetta and mixed charcuterie for starters (the latter being HUGE and totally delicious). Then finished with pasta again and glasses of red wine. Great service, great food. Loved it, will continue to go back and order from them.

Yelp
Worst Italian restaurant in London. Che schifo. It is pretty difficult to do Italian food badly, but this place does it worse than that. I've had better 99p pizza's from Tesco. It was truly awful and any Italian would have thrown the pizza back at them. Yuk. DO NOT GO HERE. Of the thosands of Italians restaurants this has to be one of the worst.

Yelp
Great pizza here. Shared a tasty (and spicy) pepperoni and olive concoction and a delightful Italian salad here, and both were really yummy. The pizzas are VERY thin crust, with an almost cracker like consistency- no sogginess in site! Maybe it's not worth shlepping across London to get here, but if you live in or around Fulham, it's well-worth a visit. N.B.: they don't take cards, only cash or (bizarrely) cheques, so come prepared.

Yelp
Went for a birthday party in a large group. They were prompt with our food, but were not friendly. The food itself was not too bad, with better than average pizza. I definitely wouldn't travel to go, but I might give the place another chance if I were in the area.

Yelp
My favourite casual Italian restaurant In London. I've been going here for the past 5 years, since I lived literally 10 steps away from my flat and it was easily accessible and perfect for lazy takeaway nights. Sitting in the back, with candlit seating, is great for a romantic evening or just dining with friends. Highly recommend the spinach ravioli with tomato sauce (not sure if its still on the menu, but they will do it if you ask!). Was in last month and the service was a bit slack, but still a great dinner.

Yelp
Whenever I go to a new Italian restaurant I always give it my standard Penne Arrabiata taste test. I am glad to say Pappa Ciccia passed, especially with the very generous portion size! Tip for tech savvy dinders.. I got a free cuppa afterwards through my Letyano app ;-)

Yelp
In a city where lunch is often grabbed on the go (and sometimes sadly eaten in front of a laptop), I am very happy to have discovered quite possibly Fulham's best takeaway panini! Close to Putney Bridge tube is a little Italian pizzeria-trattoria that serves up some tasty pizzas and pastas, lovely wines and orgasmic desserts (note: the takeaway brownies will wash away your woes in two bites). However (as mentioned above), my heart goes out to Pappa Ciccia's 'Panini Sardo'. At a mere £3.95, you'll find yourself enjoying a huge toasted panini filled to the brim with balsamic marinated chicken and roasted vegetables...mmmm. But what warms my cockles even further is the mini library of celebrity trash/fashion magazines available to peruse while waiting for your nosh. For those who have time for a full lunch, Pappa Ciccia offers some great lunch deals (meal and wine for around £7) and they even have a cute little outdoor area (along with a proper indoor dining area) to tuck into your meal. As for me, I'll continue to eat my prime panini on the go...or in this case, while typing a review. :)
