Need to start out by saying my server, Angela, did a great job. Thank you Angela.
It's been a while since my last visit. In fact, I think the last time I tried to eat here, PCS was closed for renovations.
Now that I'm back, all I an say is the renovations look great. The did not destroy the original charm, but polished and improved a classic eating spot.
How? Well, the first thing I noticed was beer on tap, and bottles on wine. Second was cocktails on the menu too! Third, PCS is now open for lunch and dinner. I snapped pics of all the menus.
I was here for breakfast, and had the Huevos Rancheros - Two fried eggs, refried beans, hashbrowns, and corn torillas. $9.95 Very tasty, see picture.
The other item that was tempting, and until now I only ever saw at an old, south, pancake house was the German Pancake. At $9.95 I thought a bit pricey (it's basically 2 eggs, 1/2 cup AP flour, and 1/2 cup milk... and a bit of butter, lemon and powdered sugar... And I make it myself). But maybe next time...
Breakfast is served all day!
I was also happy to see the pie and ice cream options still exist.
And the historic photos on the back wall are fun to look at too.
On breakfast alone I would have gone 5 stars, but now I need to check out lunch and dinner options too!
Bottom line: So happy a classic is staying classy!
