"Homey Italian fare still “reigns supreme” at the Corona restaurant — a relic of a certain type of red-sauce spot that can be otherwise hard to find. Plow through the free bread basket and antipasto plate, then head for the eggplant rollatini or baked clams. Baked pastas are the things to get for your main. Go here for dinner and then stop over down and across the street to Lemon Ice King of Corona for dessert." - Nadia Chaudhury, Eater Staff

"One of the best stories about this restaurant in Corona is that the previous owner, allegedly a capo in the Genovese crime family, made a hobby of racing pigeons on the roof. “Tough Tony” Federici inherited the restaurant, founded in 1960 as the Corona Supper Club, from his parents, and for decades, it’s where northern Queens residents have come for graduations, 50th birthdays, and anniversaries. Come here when you want to celebrate something with big plates of swordfish and shrimp scampi, served by waiters in crisp white button-downs who’ll call you “famiglia.” And ask them about the pigeon races. "If your friend’s loud oversharing tendencies have ever made you want to back into the bushes like Homer Simpson in that one meme, get some Italian-American seafood in the big garden at Park Side. It’s full of tall trees, bushes, and hedges to hide you from the other tables when your dinner guest orders their manicotti in their worst Super Mario accent. The garden is usually full of big groups who are distracted by their birthday and graduation celebrations, so you can also order your shrimp oreganata like Luigi if you want to. " - neha talreja

This Italian restaurant is in Corona and it makes you feel you are not in Queens or Corona but in Italy. Ambiance is beautiful and the food is delicious. I enjoyed it so much. The service was so nice and they gifted me a free cappuccino. I highly recommend it. I will be going again ♥️

I haven’t been here in years. Their crab cake is toothsome😋! Fresh, lumps, sweet. My guest enjoyed her Seafood Combo. Attentive service and nice ambience with the greenery along the windows. They serve you a variety of complimentary bread that they wrap for you to go and biscotti. If you would like to have dinner here, make a reservation weeks in advance or they’ll tell you they have tables available at 4:30 or 8:30 p.m. But if you aim to have lunch, they’ll likely have a table at the time you want.

My son and I went on a Monday night and it was PACKED! The host/ manager was friendly and helpful. Sat us within 10/15 minutes. The service was great. We sat out in the terrace area. The space was beautiful. The food didn’t take very long and my son and I enjoyed everything. His steak was perfectly cooked and my pasta was delicious. Very fresh. It’s got to be made in house.

From the bread basket to the appetizer to my main meal all I can say delicious!!!! I came all the way from Florida to Corona and will be back. First class service and food, Thank you and see you soon

Queens is a perfect setting for this classic, huge, Corona Italian restaurant. It is fun, noisy, and a bit old school, which adds to its old world charm. I loved that before we even ordered, we were served a large bread basket with a unique assortment of breads and breadsticks. All of the traditional Italian favorites are served here. I had the Veal Francese which was a tasty, sizable portion. I started with the Tortellini in Broth soup which was also delicious without skimping on the tortellini. For dessert, I shared a Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake which was fresh, creamy, and scrumptious. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Valet parking was friendly and efficient. If you love classic Italian at reasonable prices, then this is a must place to visit. 🍽

**Park Side Restaurant, Corona, Queens** I recently visited Park Side Restaurant in Corona, Queens, and had an enjoyable dining experience. The Italian cuisine served was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and courteous, ensuring a pleasant meal. However, I was puzzled by one detail: the cheese provided for my pasta was different from that given to other diners. Despite this minor confusion, the overall experience was highly satisfying, and I would recommend Park Side Restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal in Queens.

Google
Staying in Queens for a couple of Mets games and wanted to eat where the locals eats and found the Park Side. This is a restaurant comparable with anything in Manhatten’s Little Italy from ambiance to service to food. It is a gem. We enjoyed a glass of wine with a basket of house breads (the semolina wheat bread and house white bread were our favorites). The pasta dishes we had were delicious and the calamari and butterflied shrimp was cooked to perfection. Their house red sauce is simple and perfect. Excuse the pics. I know restaurants hate pics of their plates when half eaten but that’s when I decided I had to leave a review. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was classic, old world, Italian-American NYC. The restaurant opened at noon today and by 12:30-12:45 was nearly sold out with locals. Don’t stay in Queens without trying this place.

Google
Very impressed with the food. Most impressed by the steak (recommend medium cooked). One of the best. Pastas and scallop were all delicious as well. Appetizer also very good, particularly the large shrimps and small clams. But not a fan of the appetizer with the potato. Unlimited bread that were very tasty. House wine was good. Overall great quantity as well.

Yelp
I had a reservation Saturday 12/7/24 at 6:30. we were seated as soon as our whole party was together. Our waiter was an older gentleman. He asked us if we wanted wine. I asked what kind of wine they had. and he named about 4 types. I then asked if he had Moscato and he he said yes. He didn't know if they had any holiday martinis, and he didn't know. We got our drinks and ordered our food, and pretty much never saw the man again. if we wanted another drink, we had to get up and find him. The food was yummy and dessert was yummy. We were there for a while, mainly because no one came to see if we needed anything, or to ask if everything was ok. Then the Maitra D came over and told us we had to leave. They needed the table for another party. No Happy Holidays, no thank you for coming. I thought that was so rude.

Yelp
Parkside in a few words: consistent great food, great vibes, legendary spot in Queens. been coming here for decades and will continue to do so. Excellent place

Yelp
The food is always good...old school charm of place still works. Would i love to see it remodeled and have a bathroom on main floor so that we wouldnt have to use those dangerous stairs, yes. The service...not great. Hostess not friendly....waiter...needs to retire...busboys good. We are a party of 8, 2 kids. The bread basket...great. The brushetta...had to ask for it 3 times, tables around us who sat after us got it right away. Once we did get it, it was good. It only took 40 minutes from the time we sat to have our order taken... Appetizers, asked for calamari well done...it was not, but still good. Stuffed mushrooms...good. Baked clams...good. Arugula salad...good. Veal milanese...good. Chicken special...good (it was chicken marsala called by a different name). Pasta special...Fettucini with lobster sauce...good, portion large. Everyone was fine with their orders. Tortufo desserts...good.

Yelp
The whole dining experience was a pleasure from when we entered until we left. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The busboys kept our water glasses filled. We got a huge basket of various types of breads and a plate of bruschetta with Parmesan chunks and slices of cured meat (not sure what it was). We thought we knew what we wanted until we heard the specials. So -- for apps we had shrimp with garlic butter and octopus salad. For entrees we ordered lamb chops, linguine with white clam sauce, special stuffed rigatoni with veal and spinach, special monkfish and scallops. There was a plate of almond biscotti at the end of dinner but we still ordered 2 tartufos (regular chocolate and vanilla along with a pistachio).

Cherie G.

Yelp
It's my fave restaurant ever. I've been coming since I'm a kid and it never disappoints. Nothing compares. I sometimes want to gate keep because I don't want the influencers finding out ! Waiters are awesome, the vibe is the best and the food is outstanding.

Evelyn N.

Yelp
Always a delightful pasta meal at Parkside. Beware of horrid parking situation around it though but they offer valet and the guys work off tips. We ordered the wild mushroom fettuccine and fettuccine carbonara. It was a lil too watery this time for my liking but flavor was still good. Wish they had the ham dinner rolls and bruschetta or maybe they just didn't have it this time. Servers are super friendly and attentive.

Lisa T.

Yelp
We thought we made online reservations but upon entering were told rather sarcastically they don't accept online reservations~ not a good start. The server Jose was curt and didn't offer specials although they were listed on a board that I saw after the fact. Service was terribly slow and our server didn't check in on us. The bussers were good. Food was just fine, but nothing too impressive. If it weren't for the service I would consider giving it another try but i'll pass. Very disappointed because I've heard such great things about this place, but oh well.

Cyn C.

Yelp
This place is very cozy, ambiance is a little dated but that's the vibe. The bar was a nice space, bartender was very nice. Once we got to our table, our server was great, very attentive. Food was good. This was my first time here and I've heard people rave about it for years, so maybe that's why I expected exceptional food. But it was okay. They give you a nice bread basket at first which is very tasty. We got a cheese appetizer which I thought was going to be similar to mozzarella sticks, but instead it tasted like mushy French toast with mozzarella in it. Tasted extremely fried/oily. I wouldn't get that again. The steak was the best dish of the night. The pasta/sauce was decent. Chicken francese, I've had better. Dessert- if you're a big fan of cheesecake like I am, don't get the cheesecake because you will be disappointed. It wasn't the best. The crème brûlée was much better. The cannoli was also good. They do have great cappuccino though! Overall, if I returned, I would try different things on the menu.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Amazing Italian restaurant! I sat down and they brought a free little plate of salami and cheese and tomato on toast, such a nice little treat. They also brought a massive bread basket so you know you're not going to leave hungry. I got the veal piccata with pasta. The veal was great and the pasta was fantastic. The marinara sauce was the perfect balance of light and flavorful. It doesn't look like much but it's probably one of my best marinara I've ever had. For dessert I got a chocolate truffle cake. It was super chocolately and yummy. Not the best cake but still pretty good. Wish this was closer to Manhattan but if I come back to Queens I'm coming here again!

Paul M.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Service was top notch. Atmosphere was quaint and classy. 10x. Had the lobster tail, shrimp parmigiana, the pistachio dessert. The calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection.

Chelsea A.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 8pm on a weekday, the restaurant was super packed and lively. The food was really good, huge portions and super filling. The server was attentive despite it being packed and waters kept being refilled every other minute, I appreciate that. Overall, really nice spot for a date night or a family dinner. Bathroom is downstairs for anyone looking for it!

Joseph D.

Yelp
First time I went here was almost 40 years ago. It has consistently been amazing. The service and food never lets you down. Tony created a formula that is totally terrific. May his memory be a blessing. Much love - JGD.

Reem T.

Yelp
From the ambiance to the service and the food. This place is incredible. Lots of plants and authentic Italian food. Great for any occasion Recommend A++++

Jesse Y.

Yelp
Definitely must call ahead for reservation because this restaurant is so popular and gets very busy. Food and service is unmatched and lower prices than other Italian restaurants nearby. Decor is a bit dated I'm willing to overlook due to their delicious menu.

Val M.

Yelp
This place is a classic the valet parking makes it a no brainer coming from Long Island. It's our special go to !everything I had is delish great service too! Don't even get me started on the bread basket

Vanessa J.

Yelp
Experiencing Park Side was such a treat. We had our couples dinner here a few weeks back and the food, service, ambiance and overall experience was just incredible. Our friend had made reservations weeks in advance and when we arrived we were seated on a corner are which was private and very comfortable for our dinner. We started off quicky with a few bottles of Caymus red wine and o course they brought over a basket full of delicious breads. We then ordered a few appetizers family style such as the Stuffed Mushrooms, Oysters & Fried Calamari. Oh and of course a Classic Caesar Salad to keep it healthy haha. For dinner we had a few dishes at the table all which were wonderfully prepared and full of flavor and fresh. We had the Fettuccine Alfredo Cream, Butter, Parmigiana & Imported Mascarpone Cheese, Filet Mignon with side of mashed potatoes, & Sauteed Filet of Gray Sole Meuniere White Wine, Lemon & Capers. Lets just say everyone was very happy and full from the delicious food. After dinner it was very sweet of the staff to bring out a dessert plate to celebrate a special occasion at our table. If your in the area or just want some authentic italian food this is the place to go for that, not Carbone, haha.

Yelp
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Queens. Valet parking, great service & delicious abundant selections. We've never been disappointed here. Johnny Depp & Robert DeNiro are some of the celebrity regulars here. In 1980, Parkside was founded by Anthony "Tough Tony" Federici, it was originally the Corona Supper Club opened by his parents in 1960. Federici was allegedly a capo in the Genovese crime family where he kept racing pigeons on the roof. In 2000, he was shooting at hawks with a shotgun & was arrested on charges of menacing and criminal weapons possession. Met friends for dinner after the US Open, it's only a mile away. Unfortunately, we thought they made reservations and they thought we made reservations. We did not have a reservation and the restaurant as always was busy. We are thrilled that they were able to squeeze us in. The bread basket with bruschetta, cheese, and meat came immediately with water, it was delicious. We shared the eggplant rollatini appetizer and manicotti Bolognese finishing it off with chocolate ganache cheesecake. Our meal was exceptional. We didn't leave a crumb. Friends devoured their veal & pasta dishes. Service as always was impeccable, we were not rushed and able to visit with friends.

Cristina J.

Yelp
I've been here twice and man is it delicious! First off the ambiance is awesome old school Italian feel. And there are name badges throughout the entire restaurant with members names ( I pretty cool) the food is delicious and tasty I recommend any of the pasta dishes. The service is always top notch little slow but that's what you should expect in a place where you relax enjoy and eat

Santino D.

Yelp
Incredible as always. Never a time I've gone to Parkside and not enjoyed the food and service.

Eric M.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. The food is always great and the service top notch. The stuffed Italian meat and cheese bread is always served fresh and is a delicious alternative to standard dinner rolls. The house wines are also excellent. If you like spicy, the Fra Diavalo dishes are a can't miss.

Nella B.

Yelp
Very nice place! Met friends there for dinner on their recommendation. It did not disappoint. Nice menu , nice staff and delicious food . Appetizers were great as were our main courses. Will def go back .

Dina E.

Yelp
Food was delicious and it was old school traditional italian food. However, the hostess seemed unfriendly and did not ask to seat us which was a turnoff. She also had jeans on which is inappropriate in an upscale restaurant, even if she's family. However the other staff was attentative and valet parking is free! So its still on my best restaurant of Queens list. Definitely make reservations for Marilyn Monroe room is gorgeous. A long staircase and no elevator and bathroom in basement, not good for handicap or elderly.

Jando S.

Yelp
Before Corona became the multi-enclave for all things Latin American, it was the Little Italy of Queens for a generation or two. Even as the demographics began shifting in the 1960s/70s, Park Side has remained through all the changes. This establishment doesn't just represent a different time in the borough, it is also considered a landmark, and one of the most significant Italian spots in NYC. I've been a regular here for years and have appreciated the old school charm and the good food / service. The place is deceivingly large, with dining rooms upstairs and so much seating that any group size could dine here with little issues. The ambiance is usually a mix of low lighting and plants sprinkled all throughout the main dining room. The well-dressed wait staff are always polite, with a little wiseguy humor and wittiness. From a food perspective, I think there is a lot to appreciate. Their complimentary bread basket, especially the one stuffed with prosciutto is rather addicting. They also make a chicken / veal parm the way it should be done, which is a tender slab with the right ratio of cheese and sauce. I also think their al dente pastas, in particular the rigatoni bolognese and rigatoni with lamb ragu are excellent. Their linguini marechiare is classic, but I think their linguine with clam sauce is actually better. I also vouch for their baked clams, broccoli rabe, and occasional steak. I also think they could certainly work on their pizzas, which were dry and unmemorable from my last visit. I'm not a fan of their stuffed artichoke or their shrimp scampi. The seafood is a gamble, especially the salmon, which has proven tougher than desired in later years and the calamari hasn't lived up to its usual standards. They offer valet parking and the vibes are still special occasion / date night worthy. I think the prices have been on the premium side for a long time and I certainly hope they continue to improve on their dishes while preserving the techniques for a regional style that is slowly fading away with every passing generation.

Jessica V.

Yelp
Dinner took 3 hours because the service was horrendous. We had to continually get up to try and find a waiter who came to the table only then and very begrudgingly.

Akela J.

Yelp
Now I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews but this place was honestly the best Italian Ive had in NYC second to Paesano's. Not only is the restaurant beautiful with a lovely staff, but its also a great place to celebrate a birthday. The chicken parm and penna alla vodka were a 10/10 and the drinks was amazing as well. You cant go wrong with this place.

My Journal E.

Yelp
This is the restaurant I go to every year for my birthday with my kids and husband. Everything is amazing wine, starters, entrees, coffee, down to deserts. You can't miss. Make sure to call ahead of time for reservations. They also have a second floor which gives 80's scarface mafia vibes by how the room is decorated. I love it! My favorite italiana restaurant.

Iceburg S.

Yelp
Came here after a Mets game. Rivals Arthur Avenue. Really good! Packed at 9pm! Awesome vibe and ambiance!.

Franny A.

Yelp
Finally, made it!!! Marilyn welcomes you and the dining room is old school yet rustic with a windowed addition where we sat. Ate and drank: Chianti Colossal crab Stuffed artichoke Langostinos Spaghetti marinara Seafood fra diavolo Tiramisu Total: $160 Except for the prosciutto bread, the basket was disappointing right off the bat. The appetizers rallied with the artichoke being one of the best ever! Flavorful, cooked perfectly and the heart cut out for east eating. Theres a lot of seafood on menu and the langostinos and spaghetti were delicious and tiramisu one of a few desserts made in house. Take an apple upon leaving. Definitely a very very special Queens spot but I'd want to go when the bread is fresh & the dessert cart is running.

Nina M.

Yelp
My favorite Italian restaurant of all time! My family and I would come here almost every two weeks for dinner and food is always great and staff are always friendly as well. The complimentary bruschetta they serve during dinner time is to die for! I will always recommend this place and oh, their pork chop with the spicy peppers, wow!

Joseph O.

Yelp
Great. Best food ever must country it as it's awesome. Really enjoyed my meal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Damian W.

Yelp
Food 4.0/5.0 Service 4.0/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 3.5/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Very old school Italian place. It got pretty busy even during a mid-week evening. Food was very good, and they actually have cacciatore!

Dee D.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! We had a ball with a lovely table and a bottle of chams! I hadn't been here in year's since a close friend took me. I called him and he gave me the coordinates since I was going to be in the neighborhood. The bread - oh how I live bread! It was an assortment of prosciutto, seeded rolls, Italian, and sesame bread sticks with cold, salted butter pats. There is nothing like it. The service was great initially and later we were there as part of the family. Now for the food -- shared Caesar salad and it was delicious. -- fried calamari was delicious, tender and fried perfectly. -- shrimp scampi but pasta for the rice left us wanting more garlic -- chicken cutlet parmigiana was really good and enough for 3. The final course was chocolate mousse cake and a decaf espresso with lemon rind and anisette. It's authentic and worth it if you are in the area.

Danesh I.

Yelp
The Holy Trinity of Italian dining in Queens for me consists of Don Peppe, Trattoria L'Incontro, and Park Side and the beauty of things is that instead of having to choose loyalty to just own, you can love them all equally and appreciate what each has to offer! Park Side is the happy medium between a hole in the wall and a white table cloth experience offering the highest quality food in a bustling environment with the warmest hospitality. This is classic Queens eats and a taste of "the good ole days." Seafood is heavily emphasized and I would certainly recommend choosing at least one course from their wide selection of options from the sea. Steaks are also a bit part of the menu here but there's plenty of pasta, and vegetarian options as well if you're not a big meta eater. The ambiance is always buzzing here and I love the energy of dining here. The service has always been good on my visits and I would recommend reservations since it does get packed on most nights. I wouldn't peg Corona to be where you'd find a shining jewel of Italian dining but then again...that's Queens, baby! Come here at least once to try it, and come back several more times to make your way up and down the menu or to celebrate a special occasion because you can't really go wrong here!

Dave C.

Yelp
Excellent I had the seafood fra Diablo, my wife had the calamari. Everything was great

Lilia Y.

Yelp
I visited the restaurant yesterday for the fifth time and I just realized there was a second floor. Food never disappoints and the Marilyn Monroe decor gave it an extra sparkle! Service is always good. This is my favorite Italian restaurant .

Jessica D.

Yelp
First time back after 15 years! Not much has changed, except me. Less inclined to put up with lazy service than I used to be. Smarmy, patronizing maitre'd at the front door. Waiter with barely (and badly) concealed bad attitude. Surly, harried looking bartender. The check took forever to come at the end of the night because they forgot about us. The atmosphere is warm and fun, with lots of large parties celebrating something. But unless you are a regular, be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen (the waiter kept calling us "famiglia" but it was clear we were not a part of the family). The food was mid, as the kids say. The best thing I ate was the spinach ravioli with red sauce, but this was nothing I couldn't make at home. It wasn't cheap either. I would say go if you are in the neighborhood, but you are probably better off eating Mexican food.

Bill E.

Yelp
Great food in a fun environment. The chicken parm and calamari were delicious. I've been a few times. I ordered something different every time and have never been disappointed.

Ron P.

Yelp
I went during lunchtime, ambience, classic old-school. I sat at the bar. The bartender was perfect. Didn't bother you. Got you everything you needed. Checked on you. The food perfect everything was fresh delicious zero complaints.

Ginette P.

Yelp
Times have changed but happy that Park Side does not, rsvp's are not necessary but certainly are helpful because no matter what day of the week or time u stop by they always seem to be busy & have a wait time. Drinks Pinot , House Cabernet , Martini Apple or Cosmo are usual. Limited appetizers but the Bread basket alone is delicious w the ham bread, followed by the Bruschetta, salami & cheese. Shrimp in Garlic sauce still a favorite great tasting shrimp & sauce. Baked clams are also quite good. Food has always been on point , Pasta in garlic & oil w broccoli usually add chicken is a go too since it's simple yet so tasty. Then u have the Truffle & mushroom, Pesto & Carbonara to name a few hard to go wrong w either. A special pasta the Rigatoni Mattriciana this was very tasty. Chicken piccata, Francese , Scarpariello all great choices. Soups Tortellini is decent, really liked the Minestrone soup. On the seafood side Shrimp Scampi , Oreganata Sole Almondine & Salmon all great choices. Tuna was a recent try & they enjoyed it. T-Bone steak & Filet mignon are a rare treat but very good as well. If room for dessert Carrot cake , Crème brûlée, Pistachio Tartufo are good options. If no room the Biscotti's are great. Service for the most part has always been good sometimes a bit slow u can tell when they are crazy busy or short staffed. Price wise normal to most Italian restaurants they do give u decent portions. I have been coming here for years & park side has yet to disappoint.

William D.

Yelp
Great authentic Italian food. My fave dish is the penne Alla vodka and grilled chicken strips.

Jackson W.

Yelp
Here for the pork chop. Staff is friendly. Going to try the broiled pork chop next time!!

Bronwyn B.

Yelp
My bestie treated me for dinner here a few days ago and it was fantastic! I've been wanting to go there forever. Walking through the doors is like going through a portal to the 70s. Old Skool on steroids! From the moment we sat down to the amazing bread basket, fried calamari and pasta entree until I had my last sip of Grand Marnier, it was all perfection. Food and service was A+++. Can't wait to go back.

Dan J.

Yelp
Very have bad experience today I came in at 6.20 pm waiting for waiter to come give us menu and drinks 25 mins the foods came out ok I love the food here but my wife dish supposed to come with salad but never comes I didn't ask because no one around to ask I mean NO ONE. I asked for special today the waiter said not yet and never tell us I asked for wine list he don't understand so basically we only got 1 round of drink.

Kenneth L.

Yelp
We had another fantastic meal last night -- on Thanksgiving no less -- and can't wait for our next visit. Great to see Alfredo and Frankie and the rest of the staff. This was a special experience on a special evening. Bravo!

Wen Jin G.

Yelp
we're always intrigued by this place every time we walked by and finally decided to give it a try. my family and i arrived for dinner and were quickly seated upstairs. the place definitely had the vibe of eating in someone's home. it had so many nooks and crannies that it was just fascinating. after much debate, we got the following to try: -stuffed mushrooms -crispy fried calamari -jumbo shrimp cocktail -fettucini carbonara -seafood combination (one each of marinara and fra diavolo) -broiled pork chop -porterhouse steak i'd say the standouts were definitely the porterhouse (beefy, buttery, tender. it's possibly one of the best steaks i've ever eaten), fettucini carbonara (very rich, but tasty), and the complimentary bread basket and crostinis. the fried zucchini was really good too. the portions were huge and we had leftovers for daysssss! definitely recommend this spot for special occasions!

Lola B.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere , good service, and good food , we had the tuna , excellent escarole and beans , pasta con le vongole baked clams , shrimp cocktails , everything was very good !

Christina V.

Yelp
It pains me to say this after nearly our 700th visit that this is it! We've retired park side from our restaurant rotation. Don't worry they'll survive, their formula still works. Eat this: -Rigatoni in bolognese, delicious, al dente -oysters and clams -Veal & chicken combo, tender, must like mascarpone (cream cheese), this brown sauce is excellent and similar to the osso buco sauce, any chicken or veal dish has classically always been excellent -Salmon in Dijon sauce, sometimes overcooked so ltk if you want it medium -Caesar salad standard and good -Broccoli rabe always tender, chunks of garlic -Italian cheesecake, not homemade, just saying -the small plate (amuse-bouche) that arrives after 4:30 of cheese, dried sausage and bruschetta is the best, problem was the cheese. It wasn't fresh and they've chintzed out on the sausage. Now it's paper thin slices, but still great quality. -cappuccinos always excellent You've been warned: -Stuffed artichoke (if you know what a real stuffed artichoke tastes like or you make them yourself avoid) -eggplant rollatini (the cheese was sour, it had to go back, inedible) -pork shanks, overcooked and doused in bbq sauce Listen, it's all that others have said, old school, great vibe, families celebrating something, the occasional goomba meet up, mostly during the day, but the service has. always. been. atrocious. The guys just don't want to be there, never have. We put up with it bc the food was outstanding. Over the last two years, I understand virus vibes, but on every occasion in those two years so much has declined and it's been the food. It's why most pp go out to eat, to eat! the service is a plus especially these days, but the food brought us back for 30 years. This unfortunately has changed. So go, enjoy, you most likely will. Tip: bathrooms downstairs or use the one in the kitchen to see the action. It's a well oiled machine, nobody screaming, servers yuckin it up, cooks working hard. be discreet. There's valet parking.

Yelp
The food was very flavorful. It was a good size portion. I love the dessert and the associated bread with cheese. There was a lot of seafood in the seafood combo.

Yelp
Every time I've been to the Italian landmark restaurant in Queens, Park Side, I've had a great experience. The service was always good and the decor and ambience old school Italian and inviting. The food has always been delicious, and I love the prosciutto bread they serve at the beginning of each meal. The most recent visit I had fresh pasta - papardelle - absolutely delicious! Their house wine is also worth mentioning, and if you have a chance to check out their Marilyn Monroe room upstairs, you should!
