One of my favorite bars in Austin! Great for watching sports or getting a nice cocktail on the weekend. The staff is always friendly and nice especially the manager Sebastian! They are a Bills bar but graciously put the Broncos game on one TV 🥲

I won’t watch sports anywhere else, Parlor and Yard is the best. Great atmosphere inside and outside, and great service. Sebastian and the other bartenders are quick and so nice, even when you order a tricky drink. Guaranteed a good time here!

The atmosphere and food were not bad. Great ambiance, the wings were too saucey. However the server for the food/ the guy giving and helping you order was incredibly rude. We ordered food, then they put food in front of us. I assumed it was ours and took a fry. That’s my fault is wasn’t ours. However he threatened to kick me out for that and told my boyfriend the same and gave us such attitude. As long as that dude with the black beard working the food is there; I will never be returning! So much for my 21st lol.

Came here for a work social the other day. Bar staff were quick to spot us waiting to order. House margaritas were great. I’d say the music inside was a bit too loud for people sitting around trying to eat and talk but the back patio was there for us with fans and misters if we’d really cared. Would definitely go back.

Slimy business practices. Added 20% gratuity to bill without saying anything still to recommend that a further tip is added. Letting someone unknowingly double tip is a crusty move. The bathrooms didn’t even have soap… gross

I had a disappointing experience with Sebastian, the bartender. He added a 25% tip without informing me, didn’t provide a receipt, and then pressured me to tip even more. When I pointed out that the tip was already included, he rudely asked me to move away from the bar. This behavior is unprofessional and has made me hesitant to return. Be cautious with the staff here.

I really enjoy this place when watching games or just hanging out. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and variance in seating options (high top, bar, couch, picnic table). Well kept place and it pulls a pretty good crowd but it's never been too crammed inside. Good music and the sound levels aren't insane either. NADC burger is situated inside which is a gem! Really nice merch as well and the servers are always attentive and very quick. Kudos to this place.

We'll start with what's cool. Vibey, reasonably priced drinks, had the UFC fight. That's actually the only reason we came! I would have canned my own general manager over the staff and manager's etiquette on the spot. This was nonsense. We were a party of 3 there to watch the fights and have a few drinks. One of us walked out to take a quick phone call from her husband, and the doorman not only denied her entrance back inside not 5 mins later, he put his hands on her! Yo. My guy. The power trip be trippin with this one. "AT CAPACITY!!!!!!" Seriously? This is not an exclusive nightclub at fire capacity. This is a sports bar and we're just here visiting. I hit up Sebastian at the bar. Hey dude, can you please let our chick back inside to finish the current match on the TV and close out our tab and call an Uber? This is silly. This is nonsense. Nope. No can do. No chance. Sorry. Sir, you are in charge. We are full blown adults just trying to be cool patrons, have a drink, and tip your team. Thanks for having the UFC on. It would have been cool to be able to watch it if your team wasn't on a wild power trip.

Since the last review got taken down I will leave a more detailed one here. On 10/19/24 I witnessed the bar tender assault a patron and whip him with a towel on the back of the head to get his attention, when confronted he then asked to have the patron removed. Multiple other people had complained about this bar tender being aggressive and rude to all other patrons. Here is a picture of said employee

Went here during UT Austin Parents weekend with all the kids and their parents. What a blast this place is!!!! The drinks were perfect and the ambiance was fun and laid back with a huge screen to watch games outside. The service was on point and there is a little walk up window inside to get a NADC (Not A Damn Chance) burger which if you ask me is the best burger on the entire planet!!!! Will definitely be going back next time i'm in Austin!

After paying for a bucket of beer and fries and wings, we were kicked out of our table for the Penn State game because this is a Penn State bar in quotations and they made a whole scene in front of the whole bar because apparently that is how we do business at this installation so I don't do business here

Alabama vs Georgia game was on a few TVs and many people were watching. They changed the station in the 4th qtr to the Oregon game that was already on all the other TVs. It was a very close game at that point and regardless of numerous requests, they would not change it back. One staff member told us to go watch it somewhere else.

Alabama vs. Georgia, 4th quarter, 34-33 nail-biter, and the bar refuses to put it on. At least 20 people asked, but the staff wouldn't budge. My buddy tries, and the bartender snaps, "We're not changing the F-ing game!" then kicks him out. Meanwhile, two girls start fighting--one's eyebrow is bleeding, the other only emotionally damaged. It happens right in front of our table, which we're HUDDLED around, watching the game on a phone like cavemen. All 20 TVs are showing Oregon and a two-loss UCLA team. Forced to watch Pac-12 football... I'll never forgive this place.

The bouncer told my albino friend that his ID was fake. He's literally 22, I grew up with him... The entire rest of our friend group had no issues getting in, just him. We are all of age. Honestly, I felt like they were discriminating against him for being albino. The staff should feel ashamed of themselves, I can't believe this happened in Austin.

Great bar, fun atmosphere. Mgmt: The fried chicken sandwich is not up to par with most bars. I'd immediately ditch the sugary hawaiian bun, & use a higher grade chicken that doesn't resemble fast food chicken patties.

One star so this is seen. Food, drinks, and ambiance are great. Tons of TVs and anything else you need. Unfortunately, the door guy was insistent on keeping the door stopped open when it was 38° outside. We asked him numerous times when there was no line to close the door as it was freezing the crowd inside. He just said no and to talk with the manager. He couldn't give a response better than "just cause" and threatened to kick out out if we pursued the issue. Like I said, great bar, but something needs to be done with the power hungry door guy. *Will change review to 5 stars if reconciliation is made.

Love Parlor & Yard! They always have great music, food, and drinks! Their patio area is covered and allows dogs if you so choose. Their cocktails arent run of the mill bar drinks either - truly a cocktail bar experience in terms of drinks in a wonderful and casual environment.

My friends and I really enjoyed the fireplaces and tent outside - such a cool set up! Parlor is also a great place to catch a game, no matter the sport or team. Also, I have had nothing but great service from the bartenders every time I've been there. Can't wait to go back soon.

Great spot to check out! We stopped here and sat on their outdoor patio to have a drink! We ordered at the bar and took our drinks outside once they were made. Very friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was great and loved that it was pretty spacious.

This bar was right across our hotel and as my husband was intent on keeping me out and partying until after midnight for my birthday, this was one of our bar stops for the night. They've got decent drinks and live music and it's definitely a good place to hang out for a late night out.

We stumbled upon this place during our Pub Crawl. The music lured us in. They were playing the old school r&b and hip-hop. The bartenders are super friendly. We wanted vodka shots and said we were open to whatever is good. He made his own concoction and it was delicious. We saw that there was a sign for 75 cents wings AND cheesecake. I definitely wanted the cheesecake, but passed since we had dinner coming up. I'd probably come back here for the great service and music!

We came here to watch Penn State Football... They had a bunch of TVs inside and a large screen and TVs outside. It was perfect for a place to come watch a college football game. It is a basic bar, loud and just what we expected. Had the Hometown Mule drink which was alright. Reasonably priced for drinks. Would definitely come back. Tip: if you want to get a spot in the patio outside and watch on the big screen, you need to get here early...

Ah, the Bills Backers bar in Austin. My best friend and I stopped by twice while in town for some Labatt Blue's, pretty good wings, and really good NYC-style pizza. (Turns out the person who owns the in-house pizza business is from Brooklyn.) On a random weekday, it's relatively dead and it's easy to be in and out particularly for when you're on vacation. On a Sunday during football season, it's an entirely different story altogether. This place was packed, but the bar is expansive and the patio really big as well. On the particular Sunday we went, it was about 103 degrees outside and Aaron Williams was there so that may have added to the volume of people. Regardless, there was ample food and drink for all. Love this place and any time I'm back in Austin, I'll be there. Go Bills! Playoffs baby!

Parlor and Yard is quite a charming little bar. We went there to meet Austin Tour Co. to take a bus out to the Deep Eddy Vodka tasting room. When you walk in, you first notice they have AC that's pumping ice cold air. Thank god, because the bar has a indoor/outdoor vibe so it's very needed on typical hot and humid Austin days. The bartenders were some of the friendliest and accommodating that we met on our trip to Austin. They have new games and old games to play, as well as several televisions showing various sports games. I personally liked the ping pong table the best and my husband loved the Spider-Man pinball machine. The furniture is eclectic and feels like your hanging out in your friends garage. All in all, It was a great spot to have a couple drinks before getting even more drinks.

Went to parlor for a nice night out with some co-workers after hearing so many good things about this place but instead was encountered with a horrible staff member that seemed like a bad fit for this rad place! Her name was Miranda and she seemed to be out of it the whole time. It seemed as if she was drunk. Whenever she would speak, she would slur her words and not understand what any of us would tell her to top it off she was being extremely offensive when speaking to us and other customers. This is not good representation for such a cool bar like this. Will remove my review if action is taken.

We came in on a Sunday evening hoping to catch multiple NFL games at once, and we got it, and so much more! The staff was super nice, and very quick behind the bar!! They have an awesome patio, and comfortable indoor space with tons of seating options, and in-house games you can borrow. If you're lucky, they have some of the house-infused liquor options available for cocktails, and they also have a great draft beer selection. Brooklyn Pie Co is inside, and very tempting, with good reason! We got an order of fried ravioli to share between two of us, and it took all of our willpower not to order another...or two! They are SUPER dog friendly y'all!! Probably one of the best in all of Austin IMHO. They let the good boys and girls stay inside, and are happy to bring water bowls! One of the bartenders even had her own cookies to share with our pup. We'll definitely be back again, and again!!

Cool sports bar in the area. There's plenty of games inside, from arcade games to ping pong tables, so it's easy to have fun here. There's also some sofas to chill and watch games too. The fun part of the bar is the outdoor area where there are tables, an outdoor bar, TVs, & cornhole boards. That's the real fun part of this bar. The tables are usually reserved by large groups. I saw them order pizza, which seems to make sense because..... So about the pizza, Brooklyn Pie is affixed to the bar. They basically sell "New York" pizza here. The sell is the large slice, which translates to basically two slices of NY pizza. The price is $4.50, which I guess is okay knowing the price of NY pizza in New York. I actually didn't have it because I was just bar hopping, but it's just an observation. Anyhow, this place is a Penn State bar, if the locals don't know by the flag hanging outside the bar.

Great outdoor setting with misters, after 6:30 in the summer the other buildings provide shade. Bartenders are nice and knowledgeable and actually watch for new customers. Saw Raphina Austin band there and loved them, hope to see her again! Definitely a new favorite!

Shared space with a Brooklyn Pie Co. They offer a NY style pizza slice that comes really close but still feels like it's missing something. The size of the slice is HUGE but it's also very thin. Would recommend the rolling up strategy and eating it as such. Flavor feels like a more premium version of dollar pizza.

Drinks are terrible, I tried the yard and the coffee cocktail and couldn't drink either of them. I could only taste watered down alcohol and honestly, if I just wanted to taste alcohol, I would have just ordered myself a shot and not a cocktail. Do yourself a favor and stick to your beers and basics. Hard pass on the cocktails. The place was pretty busy when I visited yesterday. They had college football on, so all the fun games were put away and more tables were set up for people to sit and watch. They also add automatic 20% gratuity on all their tabs whether the bartender deserved it or not. Maybe that's why all their drinks are under average. The bartenders get paid for making crappy drinks.

I came here for the Iowa vs. Penn State game and I wore an Iowa hat to support my team, I heard it was a Penn State bar so idk if they did it because I was an Iowa fan or because they thought they could get away with it but they charged me $58 for 2 high noons, none of their drink menus are over $10 so idk how they added it up to $58 dollars. Probably won't ever return but they had nice plants. Will be reporting it since there is no way my bill should've been that high, I would have stayed for more drinks but seeing that they overcharged me on 2 drinks i felt like they were taking advantage since I was an Iowa fan. The recite doesn't even show what I ordered so it's not okay.

Really can't find much else that makes this bar stand out from the thousands of other options around town. I guess I'd go here again to see why it's rated 4*.

I love Parlor and Yard. On Friday and Saturday nights it can get pretty busy, but there's plenty of seating between the sofas and high tables. They've got a great outdoor area with AstroTurf, ping pong, corn hole, tables and benches, and heaters in the winter. They also have a bar outside, which is good for when the inside bar is packed. On football days, it's a more relaxed vibe, which makes the couches nice, and they have games on the TVs. The food is good too. I had their beer mac and cheese and it was delicious. Big serving. There's also a little area where they have arcade/bar type games. Foosball, shuffleboard, and a weird but surprisingly fun hockey game.

Yard and Parlor is as comfortable as your living room, with it's sectional seating and big comfy leather couches, and a selection of board games on the spacious coffee tables. If you venture off to the side room you'll find vintage pin ball machines and foosball, and in the spacious backyard is even more entertainment: corn hole, shuffle board and ping pong. I was pleased with their craft beer selection and even more happy to find they had the delicious St. Arnold Pumkinator!

Pretty decent bar with a large trendy inside that makes you feel right at home and a large Yard that you can watch games at or bring your dog. This place is packed for Ut/Penn state games on saturdays and their inside AC doesn't work as well as i would like. However they have some good drink deals and the crowd isn't ridiculously rowdy so a good time overall.

Parlor & Yard, yes! You rock. Inside is vintage swanky and comfortable... Head outside and you'll find a great outdoor space with a bar and a bags game, ping pong and a view of W. 6th. We stopped by at 5:30 on a Thursday and there were tables available outside and room for a game, but I can imagine it might get tight on a Friday or Saturday night. I had The Miracle, which was reminiscent of a margarita but tastier.

Stopped in for a drink on our way home. Had a Miller light 12 ounce can and a pint of IPA. The beer was 6 dollars and $7. 13 dollars total. The bartender charged me $17. When I asked the second bartender how much the beers were he told me six and seven dollars which is 13 and I asked him why the other bartender charge me 17. He told me they automatically add 20%. Well 20% is $2.60. So basically the bartender is a thief he charged us 40% gratuity automatically without asking for a 12 ounce Miller light and a pint of beer. Do not visit this bar. I have been to Parlor and Yard a few times and like the design of the space, but I will never return after the staff were uniquely and astonishingly rude during my last visit. There are dozens of very similar Austin bars, so I look forward to taking my business and friends elsewhere. We were hanging out in the outdoor area at a time when the bar was nearly empty. They turned the music on at an extremely high volume, and we all immediately agreed it was uncomfortably loud. As virtually the only patrons outside, we politely asked the bartenders to turn the music down. One bartender responded so obnoxiously we could not believe it, literally telling us to get lost and conveying an attitude of total disrespect for some of the only customers there. Two other staff members there just laughed. The rude bartender introduced himself as Sean and claimed to be the owner, which evidently (and not so surprisingly) is a blatant lie. No actual business owner would tolerate customers being treated that way.

I've been here before for a night out but came back because it's a Buffalo Bills backer bar. Man does this place fill up on Sunday's for a bills game. They have Brooklyn pie co and labbats for those of you buffalonians. Tips: hard to find parking as there are a ton of backer bars on west 6th and the bar fills up FAST so get there early for a good seat.

First time in Austin for a no kids weekend from houston with my husband. Of course in Austin, we had to check out 6th street. The hotel was only about 1 mile from 6th street so we drove around to see where the spot was. We drove by this place and heard great music so we decided to go there. We had so much fun other than the fact the weather dropped from 80s to like 60s the day we went compare from the night before. Loved the music and loved the people are there. Super friendly..which is not like that in Houston. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back. If we didn't have kids, we would totally move there. Loved how everyone is so chill and laid back and friendly.

Drinks are watered down and not strong at all. Girl bartenders are always in bad mood/very rude for no reason. Young, hispanic male bouncer was extremely rude to my friends and I. I guess he thought we were underaged, but we are all over 21. He had an unnecessary attitude and kept rolling his eyes? I guess all of this is due to poor management. Only good thing is the pizza. Every time I have been here, my girlfriends and I have been mistreated. However, my boyfriend experiences the best treatment, so maybe a little sexist.

This is the ideal spot to goof around with friends on a sunny weekend. Alas, I was by myself and nerdily nursed a rather good whiskey cocktail with a book inside while happy groups grabbed beers or $3 mimosas and headed through the arcade to the outside patio. There are games inside too, but the weather was too tempting. They have big screens and play cool music inside, so I can imagine this is a good spot to watch a game or hang out at night as well. I was intrigued by their $20 AYCE brunch, but didn't see any sign of it when I was there one Sunday. If it's not a myth, then protip: they have $20 AYCE brunch.

Came here for happy hour with my co-workers on a Tuesday. Got there around 5. It wasn't too busy yet and there was one bartender behind the bar, Tony. Well tony can make a mean drink for sure! Had the Saint Sabbatical and might I say it was tasty. The atmosphere is relaxing with couches and soft chairs. And when I say soft I mean when you sit in them you sink into them. The only think that I felt was a bit of an issue is the music was way to loud for how many people were in the bar. We actually asked him to turn it down at one point as we were having a hard to time having conversations without yelling at one another. Tony did so, but as the crowd started to come in the music went back up. I give this place a 4 star as Tony was a really good bartender. The prices are what you would expect for downtown so nothing new there. I would go again for happy hour.
