A Beer-Riddled Dive Bar Food Crawl Through Los Angeles’s San Fernando Valley | Eater LA

"A quirky Valley Village bar that feels like a small regional-airport lounge and has gone by several names; behind the bar are small electric pizza ovens, and on the visit the keto pizza was unavailable so a floppy, heavily topped flatbread and a light lager were ordered — tasty but leaving the keto option regretted." - Noah Galuten

I Love Food Coma

The Service: A+!! The bartenders were friendly and efficient making drinks. The Bar: Not super big but cozy & intimate setting. Lots of seatings. Many TV screens. Good vibe. The Parking: Street parking, side street are much easier to find parking spots.

My card was overcharged ! I never received a copy of my receipt so I took a picture of it. When I checked my bank statement and posted transactions I noticed that the amount was more than I paid, which means they added more tips. I don’t know if it was on purpose or if it was a mistake but I just want to bring the awareness. It was very disappointing to find out. Also there is hidden fee if you pay using your credit card and it’s not in the receipt.

The place itself is super cool and chill. It took a while to get serviced at the bar, but there was a good bit of people. Both bartenders acknowledged me and said they'd be with me soon, so that helped. Asking questions about the drink menu (prices, recommendations, etc.) seemed to have annoyed the woman helping me. I asked what food options they had, and she informed me they only had pizza (only to later find out they have free nachos when a friend I was meeting who had been there before ordered them). I got the pepperoni flatbread. It took a good while to come out, but it was honestly worth it. It got better than more I ate. If you dont want pizza, they allow food from the BBQ place next door to be brought in. Just make sure you're there before it closes if you want to do that. They take your glass as soon as you're done, and as an ice eater, it kind of irritated me. I get wanting to keep the place clean because it's a decent size, but maybe focus more on getting drinks out. It's as if they're bottlenecking dirty glasses by serving slow. Considering how there's 1 barback who does NOT make drinks and only cleans and delivers food orders, that should not be a problem. $25 for 1 drink (blackberry bourbon smash) and flatbread. Paid with cash and was only give back dollar change. Didn't get the coins I was owed. I don't recall seeing a sign saying they didn't get exact change back, so I took it out of my tip. So the place has a lot of hot and cold areas.

Place is nice, has outdoor seating. They had a great live band going. The floors were sticky, restrooms were clean. The place was busy but not absolutely packed for the lack of service from the Bartenders whom if they would just focused their attention on all the customers wanting to order drinks. These ladies would chat away with eachother giving their backs to the customers and kept their sight away from the mirrors, thus making it impossible for us to place our orders. They were back there dancing and singing with eachother. They would pick up the empty glasses from the bar really quick, but avoided making eye contact with us (the customers) who were trying to ask for more drinks, they would literally look away or talk to the other totally ignoring us. My party and I were sitting at the bar the whole time, I got to see all this go down for hours not only to us but to anyone who came to the bar. I finally convinced my party to go to another local bar. It was nice to see the bartenders enjoying their night, but not at the expense of their Patrons. Oh and don't even bother asking the guy in the black shirt for a drink, he will straight out tell you it's not his job. These bartenders are not only providing bad service, but they are not even charging for all the drinks poured. We usually run up a $200 tab in the time that we were there our tab way approximately $80 I only gave a $10.01 tip because the bartender forgot to charge for 1 drink and the penny for the service. I took the picture attached they had just finished hugging while chatting ans laughing away.

The bartender was so friendly, and the pizza was good. I went on a Thursday night so it was pretty quiet, but it's a good sized space, good bar lighting, i can see how it would make for a good weekend spot. They have a jukebox that you can control through an app so you can listen to your music. They've also got a nice Instagram worthy couch against a brick wall. Would go again. You can go watch a game on their many screens or hang out with friends.
