Wood-fired pies, vegan options, craft beer, cocktails, and happy hour.

"Columbus is a big pizza town with its very own style: square-cut pies with cracker-crisp crust and edge-to-edge toppings. Paulie Gee’s is not that (nor is it a slice shop), but it does make excellent Neapolitan pizzas with Columbus’s own Ezzo pepperoni and chewy, leopard-print crusts baked in a domed Stefano Ferrara oven. Paulie Gee’s loves a salty-sweet marriage, like the Hellboy® with spicy soppressata and hot honey. Or you could go for a salad on your pie with the arugula-topped Greenpointer. It’s also one of the better vegan options in town with pizzas like the Vegan Supreme, whose slightly nutty cashew ricotta could make a believer out of almost any cheese lover. Get there before 6pm if you don’t want to wait in line—and that way you can make the most of happy hour, when the all-Ohio drafts are half-off. As of early 2025, the pizzeria serves lunch, too." - Erin Edwards

"On a new weekend brunch menu from chef Tony Dezutter, I found items like a sausage-and-egg Detroit pizza and lamb skillets alongside a breakfast sandwich called the SEC — named simply for sausage, egg, and cheese — which features a fluffy bun and a messy chipotle aioli that balances heat and sweetness; Paulie Gee’s also continues its vegan-friendly streak by offering a meat- and dairy-free version of the sandwich." - Ashok Selvam

"For deep-dish pies I spent time at Paulie Gee’s and really enjoyed what they offer." - Olee Fowler

"I see it as an elevated evocation of the classic tri-state slice, part of an ambitious slice renaissance; the pies are cut into orange triangles that glow like Fanta and feel like a refined version of the familiar local slice." - Ryan Sutton

"A Greenpoint pizza mainstay that has grown into a multi-city brand with locations in Chicago, Miami, Baltimore, and Columbus, Ohio." - Monica Burton
