9 Standout Restaurants Serving Quintessential Boston Fare | Eater

"Get in line at this North End sandwich spot at lunchtime, following the Financial District lunch-breakers and tourists seeking to knock lobster rolls off their Boston bucket lists. From the outside it looks pretty casual, but owner Paul Barker’s penchant for overflowing sandwiches like the Pauli-Tician — which layers of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, EVOO, vinegar, and fried chicken cutlets — sets the spot apart. Seating is scant in this hole-in-the-wall, but on a nice day, take your sandwich to the Rose Kennedy Greenway park across the street, or walk 10 minutes to the benches on Battery Wharf and eat your lobster roll with a view of the harbor." - Molly McDonough

8 Fantastic Lobster Rolls in Boston

"This North End sandwich shop serves its lobster rolls “classic cold” or “hot in butter,” but note that both versions include mayo. There are three different sizes, including the 28-ounce “Lobstitution.” The smallest size comes on the traditional New England-style hot dog bun, while the others come on sub rolls. Want to send an out-of-town friend a taste of Boston? Pauli’s ships lobster roll kits and whoopie pies nationwide." - Erika Adams, Terrence Doyle

The 15 Best Lobster Rolls In Boston, Ranked

"Ever wish for a second stomach? Or a hollow leg where you could put all the extra food? That’s the feeling you’re going to have at Pauli’s. They do an insanely overstuffed sandwich that costs $99.99 called the USS Lobstitution with a whopping 28 ounces of lobster meat (that’s about a pound and a half), served on a sub roll and topped with a twist of lemon and mayo. It’s going to take all your lobster-eating superpowers to finish this, so you should know that they do smaller 14- or seven-ounce rolls that are almost half the price as the Lobstitution." - tanya edwards, team infatuation

Pauli's - Review - North End - Boston - The Infatuation

"Pauli's is a North End sandwich shop famous for making a lobster roll that's so big, you'll need two other people to finish it (not to mention pay for it). But it also makes perfectly good lunch sandwiches of the non-high end seafood variety, and if you live or work nearby it should be one of your go-to's for a quick bite." - Dan Secatore

Google
If you’re looking for the best lobster rolls in Boston, Pauli’s is the place. We’ve only ever ordered the lobster rolls—because they’re that good, we haven’t been able to try anything else! Packed with fresh, tender lobster meat and just the right amount of seasoning and dressing, every bite is rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The rolls are buttery and perfectly toasted, and the portion sizes are super generous. It’s a casual, no-frills spot, but the quality speaks for itself. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Pauli’s lobster rolls are a must. Tip: Order your food to go and enjoy it at North End Park—just a short walk away. Great views, plenty of seating, and the perfect way to soak in the neighborhood!

Google
I tried several hot lobster rolls while visiting Boston and this is by far the best one. Not only was the food amazing but they loaded it up with lobster. The service was top notch and the prices are much cheaper than the public markets downtown. It’s a small establishment and they only have a few seats. I was fortunate to visit between lunch and dinner so thankfully I was able to grab a seat.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Sandwiches & Great Service! I had an absolutely delicious fried chicken sandwich at Paul’s Subs & Wraps! The bread was perfect—no trans fat—and the sandwich was packed with crispy fried chicken, fresh tomato, lettuce, cheese, and ranch dressing. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, even compared to places in Texas! They also made a wrap with the same ingredients, and it was just as tasty. Other people in my group had the lobster roll, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The iced tea was a great deal at just $2.50. The food was prepared very quickly, the staff was super friendly, and the overall atmosphere was nice. I’d definitely come back—highly recommend this place!

Google
This place is legit good!! Lobster rolls are fresh and buttery. Toasted to perfection 👌 staff were friendly and I ordered the clam chowder which was also very creamy and not fishy at all. Overall good experience, I sat and ate at the restaurant. The Diners, Drive ins and Dives Guy Fieri also been there. Not sure if it was featured in one of the episodes though. $29.99 for lobster roll and $7.99 for the chowder.

Google
Small place in the heart of the city serving wide range of sandwiches. Famous for lobster based dishes. Tried their signature hot lobster roll, it’s was delicious soaked in hot butter and perfect for the cold weather of Boston. Would definitely go back and try more items on their menu. Went in the early hours pretty sure get crowded as the day gets going.

Google
Traveled to Boston for the 4 Nations Face-off and stayed a few blocks from TD Garden. Local bartender at Durty Nelly's referred us to Pauli's. It was a great suggestion as the food was outstanding there! My Canadian buddy and I both had the cheeseburger on their fresh daily made buns and it was amazing! Definitely worth stopping in for a superb foodie experience.

Google
First meal in Boston! We ordered: lobsta roll seafoods $28.99/ea, forgot to grab a bag of chips small NE clam chowder $7.99 fish and chips dinner $18.99 I personally had the fish and chips, and first time eating pollack. Definitely a heavily fried meal. The meal did include fries and onion rings which were pretty good. Rest of the group enjoyed the other items. Overall, food was good, but definitely don't pick fish and chips if you don't want an overly fried meal. Some seating inside...we opted to eat at the park nearby. Staff is quick to push out food and to-go orders. Parking is super difficult during peak times. We ended up parking in a garage.

Google
Stumbled into this small spot right in the middle of the city, and wow—I’m so glad I did. It’s a cozy little place that mainly serves sandwiches, but don’t let the size fool you. The menu is packed with options, and they’re especially known for their lobster dishes. I went for their signature hot lobster roll—and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. The roll was absolutely packed with juicy lobster meat, soaked in warm, melted butter. Every bite was rich, comforting, and just what you’d want on a chilly Boston morning. It was like a hug in sandwich form. I went in during the early hours, which was perfect because it wasn’t too busy yet. But I can totally see this place getting packed later in the day—it’s got that popular local gem energy. The staff were quick and friendly, and you could tell they knew how to handle the morning rush without missing a beat. Honestly, I’m already thinking about going back to try more of their menu. There were crab rolls, shrimp sandwiches, even lobster mac and cheese calling my name. If you're in Boston and love seafood (or just delicious food in general), this place is a *must*.

Yelp
Best lobstah roll we had during our ten day- six lobster roll trip to NE. Tasted more like a Maine lobster roll;no dill, not $50. This is a great little joint, about 10 seats. Warm and friendly. Felt like a neighborhood spot, but everyone in the world visits. Look forward to the next trip to Boston so we can go to Pauli's.

Yelp
A local spot for sandwiches but they're known for their lobster. We got a huge spread of both hot and cold Lobster Rolls which came with chips and freshly fried fries. We also got the Lobster Avocado Salad which was very generous and refreshing. They're very generous with their lobster in the rolls as well. Their Clam Chowder was a must, honestly my favorite thing. So many clams! So hearty and comforting. I can see why they're a favorite. Service was fast, friendly, and casual. There's not a lot of space for seatings though so probably best for takeout.
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted lobster (specifically a lobster roll) and this place came up with high stars near us. The offer a cold or hot lobster roll option. For this visit we went with hot. They give you a lot of meat for the roll (25ish bucks). I do think it could have been a little more buttery but it wasn't bad. I saw a few people ordering chowder but we didn't get any on this visit. This place is easily passable in the mist of all the places on the block but a good one to drop by. Not a lot of space inside so you may have to dine elsewhere or wait for a spot.
google avatar

Jay R.

Yelp
An institution located in Boston's North End . Unpretentious place to grab a classic Boston lobsta roll and escape the cold. Counter service. Pro tip - treat yourself and upgrade your order with fries...you're worth it!
google avatar

Roger K.

Yelp
There is nothing in BOSTON like it! These are some of the best lobster rolls on this side of heave. And YES, you will find that they carry the classic bag of Utz Chips to accompany! Anytime I'm in Boston, I have to stop by.
google avatar

Yelp
Sandwiches and more, Pauli's is your gateway to Boston's North End flavors. Surrounded by swanky eateries, Pauli's is your quintessential neighborhood sandwich shop and more. No fancy frills, just quality sandwiches, some unique combinations, and authentic flavors. Super Mario, what can I say? A combination like no other, meatballs with a side of mozzarella sticks. The meatballs are more like softballs, the sauce is savory and the hoagie roll was as fluffy as it gets. Excellent baby! My only ask would've been for a toasted roll adding some crunch to the bite. Phenomenal grub spot, no insane wait and definitely a worthy visit in Boston! This place screams Boston!
google avatar

Lea L.

Yelp
Pauli's is cute and busy, the staff was super nice. We got the greek salad and hot buttered lobster roll and upgraded our chips for onion rings. The greek salad had great cheese ratio but besides the cheese and the salad there was not much more in there, we were hoping for a little more for the price of the salad. The lobster roll had a generous amount of lobster, it was tasty but as opposed to most other places, it didn't have enough butter to our taste. The onion rings were 100% worth the upgrade of the chips. Overall this place is good but expensive for what it is.
google avatar

Arielle S.

Yelp
Think I showed up at the perfect time because there was a line to the door when I finished my meal! After my lobster roll, can definitely see why. Pauli's gives you so. much. lobster. And the lobster is beyond tender. I ordered the hot lobster roll and the butter / mayo combo was perfect. Would love to try the cold version someday too.
google avatar

Sammar G.

Yelp
My go to place for lobster rolls when visiting Boston! Service is great and there is almost no wait time. Ambiance is great - eat next to the windows so you can have a nice view.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Wonderful place to grab food in the North End. I got the Italian sub. Delicious. I actually ate half and gave the other to an older man that was in the Boston Commons. He was so appreciative. My husband got the chicken Parmesan sub and loved it. Very friendly service small dining area but highly recommend.
google avatar

Yvette C.

Yelp
Gotta get the lobster roll!! Excellent!! So much lobster! I got the hot lobster roll. Heaps of chopped lobster on a hot dog bun. Homey, friendly atmosphere.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Place seemed hoppin' Stopped in because i saw the sign for some clam chowda! The lady enjoy some chowder occasionally and so i popped in. I think it was about $11 for a half quart plastic container. Came out in about 5-10 minutes, and was piping hot. The chowder base was a tad more watery than i like, I'm more a fan of the thicker chowder. However, it has plenty of clams, potatoes and it was enjoyable. Add some salt pepper and crackers and you good to go. Would return. Staff was quick and nice with it. Place had plenty of people eating lunch. Their menu is pretty extensive and is written on all the walls. They have lobster rolls cold / toasted with butter and also some custom styles.
google avatar

Jessyca M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Paulie's! The lobster rolls were absolutely incredible; the flavor was simply amazing. While the size of the rolls was a bit on the smaller side, the quality and taste more than made up for it. The place was packed when we arrived and they don't allow dogs, so we ended up taking our food to a nearby park to enjoy.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Came in for the lobster roll which was mid. Small, family run business in the north end. Staff was great just didn't think the lobster roll was worth a visit. Pro Tip: stick with the Italian specialties at this place and you will be very happy. Afterwards check out the pastry shops in the neighborhood
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
We went in the morning and this place served us reheated overnight lobster. You could tell that it was not fresh and frankly for the price I felt very ripped off.
google avatar

Ariana M.

Yelp
Okay, kind of disappointed but still leaving a good rating since I knew what we were missing. Food -lobster roll. It was good, the bread was bad though. The lobster didn't have the sweetness I was looking for and wasn't as buttery even tho I ordered a hot butter. We needed to add salt to it to carry the flavor. Aside from the bread, the lobster was really good! It was packed full of claw meats and was tender, just really missing the butter Service -service was fast and nice. Ambiance -I like the darkness and the bar seating. It felt like a comfy grab and go with seating I want to come back during lobster season cause I know it'll be way better!
google avatar

Pete W.

Yelp
Delicious and likely the most affordable lobster roll in Boston at $26. The service is fast. Pauli's is a small and efficient place with nice ambiance. Their onion rings are incredible
google avatar

Grace W.

Yelp
So, so good. 100% worth a visit if you're in the area and/or visiting. Pro tip - we saw a HUGE line where we thought Pauli's was and it turns out it was for Neptune Oyster, the restaurant next door. We spent ~10 minutes waiting in the wrong line only to realize that Pauli's was next door. Once we got in, we were able to order relatively quickly and our order came out piping hot. We walked over to the nearby park (Rose Kennedy Greenway) to enjoy our meal and take advantage of the amazing weather that day. We got the hot buttered lobster roll with fries, as well as clam chowder. The hot buttered lobster roll was jam packed with succulent fresh lobster meat. Fries were good, nothing super special. However, the clam chowder...one of the best (if not THE best) clam chowder I've ever tasted. It was creamy, rich, and had just the right amount of seafood flavor. If I ever get a chance to go back, I would love to try some of their other sandwiches as well!
google avatar

Kimiko D.

Yelp
Was at Quincy Market trying to decide on which place to get a lobster roll, then i remembered passing Pauli's and decided to make the trek over. So glad i did! The rolls at Quincy looked good but Pauli's was heavenly- lots of buttered lobster on a warm roll- generous portions. Hot buttered lobster roll with fries - $31.99. When in Boston...
google avatar

Yelp
This is my 4th time in Boston and I wanted to try lobster roll from this touristy spot. It's wasn't too crowded luckily. I ordered the warm butter lobster roll and it came with a bag of chips. You have to order at the counter and they call your number when the order is ready. It took them 5 mins to prepare my order. My first reaction wasn't as exciting as I would expect it to be. I wasn't like "oh, it's a mind blowing roll". It was good. Nothing too fancy about it. I felt it was slight over priced compared to the one you get at James Hook & Co. You get slightly better lobster roll at James Hook for $35 compared to Pauli's for $30. Next time, I am definitely going to James Hook if I was in the area. 4 stars mostly for the beef sub my friend had. He was raving about it. Huge sub and stuffed with flavorful beef and mushrooms. I had a bite and I absolutely loved it. Maybe it's better to order chicken or beef sandwiches here.
google avatar

Nelson L.

Yelp
Probably some of the best lobster rolls in Boston! Very fresh tasting and good portion. Good service. Great vibe.
google avatar

Kathryn H.

Yelp
The staff here was so incredibly nice! My husband found this place on Yelp, and we knew we had to try it. It was in walking distance of our hotel, and it was worth the walk. There is very little sitting room, and it was a good sign when we showed up at 2pm on a Monday and the place was packed. We shared a lobster roll, and split the side with onion rings and chips. The roll was soft like a McDonald's bun - which made the sandwich so much more pleasurable - as we didn't get the roof of our mouths cut up with an overly hard bun. LOL. The lobster was piled high, and it was well marinated in butter - which was delightful. We enjoyed the heck out of it! The onion rings weren't overly greasy, which was so nice, and the chips were a bag of locally produced product - which is always a plus. I would put this place on a short list to re-visit the next time we're in Boston, and to recommend to friends and family who travel there as well.

Yelp
TL;DR: Lobster Roll Review! Was waiting in line at Neptune Oyster and ducked in here real quick to grab some lobster rolls to eat in line. Interior is very homey and small, but have decent seating. FOOD: ~Hot Lobster Roll (4/5): Solid lobster roll that was nice and buttery. Could use a hit of salt or pepper to enhance the flavor ~Cold Lobster Roll (3.5/5): Very lightly dressed with mayo. I personally preferred this type of cold roll, but if, like my husband and friends, prefer more mayo flavor, then it may not be for you. Each of the rolls came with chips or sub fries at upcharge. Definitely a solid spot to grab a bite!
google avatar

My Fat Ass K.

Yelp
Bro.....the subs slap. Bill nye the science guy dined here. And guy fieri. That's all.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Pauli's was fantastic and I completely understand why they were featured on Food Network! The service was quick: we ordered 2 classic hot and 2 classic cold lobster rolls. They were delicious, had plenty of lobster meat, and were flavorful and buttery. With a small storefront, they have counter seating for about 9 people. I can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Cameron S.

Yelp
The perfect divey hole in the wall spot to get the best lobster roll you've ever had in your life! While the interior is small, the food packs a BIG punch. Highly recommend this spot for your first Boston lobster roll experience!
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Pauli's, what happened to you?! Was here two years ago and had an incredible mayo lobster roll that came with a side salad. Visited this week and the lobster roll doesn't come with a side salad anymore and the mayo lobster had zero mayo on it and tasted fishy. Even the warm buttery lobster roll hardly had any butter on it. We had to ask for sides of mayo and butter to flavor it up. The clam chowder was delicious, but these lobster rolls have gone downhill and cost more than ever.
google avatar

Hanna Y.

Yelp
The place was small and packed! They were helpful and didn't hesitate to answer any questions we had. I got the lobster roll and clam chowder. The lobster tasted really fresh and the bread was so buttery! It was smaller than other lobster rolls I've had but it came with a bag of chips so that was a plus. I love clam chowder so of course I had to get some. It was just as delicious as the lobster roll! Overall a really great place to try!
google avatar

Kajal P.

Yelp
This chicken caesar wrap was soooo good! It was pretty easy to order online and pick-up 15 minutes later, making this a great place for a quick lunch. The portions for this wrap were also very large, so I was able to save half to eat later on and it kept well too. Next time I visit this place, I definitely would try their other wraps including the veggie option. Not many places in North End have veggie lunch options!
google avatar

Katrina R.

Yelp
The food was good enough. I had really high expectations, given the very good reviews, but wouldn't really rave about it. I had the classic cold lobster roll. The place is a nice little corner. We ordered ahead, and it was already ready when we arrived.
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
Was living in the north end on a family trip up to Boston and wanted a place for the classic combo of lobster roll and clam chowder. My wife found Paulis and it was perfectly on our route for our sight seeing plans. The interior was very cozy but small. Seems like the perfect place for takeout cause there weren't too many seats available inside. We ended up getting the lobster roll and clam chowder combo to share amongst the 4 of us. The clam chowder was decent. Had a lot of things inside which made it feel very hearty and the flavor was good too. Wasn't overly salty like other clam chowders we've had in the area. We ended up going with the warm lobster roll and they were chock full of lobster. The rolls were lightly buttered and the flavor was tremendous. Only knock against this place was the price. I don't remember exactly what the price was but i think it was like $30+ which seemed pretty steep.
google avatar

Vivian B.

Yelp
It was our first time in Boston, we had to stop by Pauli's. I got the hot and buttered lobster roll with clam chowder soup. WOW, it was stuffed with lobster on a buttery roll. The bread was so soft. There were huge chunks of really good lobster. The clam chowder soup was thick with potatoes and clam. It's been a long time since I've had such great tasting clam chowder soup! Service was great and fast. Definitely worth the hype.
google avatar

Graham P.

Yelp
Had a good first experience here overall. Friendly and fast service in a cute take out style space. The hot dog I grabbed was huge and good quality. Fries were a little greasy for me
google avatar

Jeff E.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast sandwich! We got the Avo Smash. Was a short walk from our hotel. Order was made quickly and staff was friendly. Wish had gone there a second time on our stay.
google avatar

Aimee C.

Yelp
Whenever you visit Boston, you have to try, at least once, a Lobster Roll or how they say "Lobsta Roll." In my case, I had 3. What can I say? I love them! When you pass by, it looks like your typical sandwich shop, but once you enter, the walls are filled with pictures of celebrities who have eaten there. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The best one I had was @paulisboston. Located on Salem St in the famous North End Italian district in Boston is Pauli's famous Lobster Roll, and it didn't disappoint. Don't let the price scare you away. It is average to pay around $28 for one, but it is so worth it. Enjoy!
google avatar

Pearl M.

Yelp
We were staying at the Marriott along Wharf and looking for something quick to eat for dinner. Paulis came up on yelp so my husband hustled over there to pick up a couple of subs. There was line when he arrived, but that seems to be the status quo. He said the girl taking orders was more interested in her nails and missed him ordering onion rings, so he had add them as a separate order. He got the food back to our room and the onion rings were still warm. I ordered them based on another review, and I think they were good. Not the best ever, but good onion rings. The subs were huge! We couldn't even finish half each. The ingredients were fresh and the bread held up well too. I think the breading on the eggplant was a little too think for my liking, which hid the eggplant instead of enhancing it, but it was still yummy. I would have preferred a grilled eggplant I think, but it could be because I'm getting old and tastes are changing. I can't wait to go back to Boston and try another sandwich from Pauli's. There's a line for a reason!
google avatar

Rachel T.

Yelp
5 stars all for the lobster roll and clam chowder! This is not a fancy place, stool and bar seating but damn their lobster roll is good. I always go for cold, it's so barely covered in Mayo and maybe a little lemon juice but it's just perfect. At first you're like hmmm is this small but no, it is so full of lobster and no silly fillers and it's quite a meal. The clam chowder and fries were delicious too but the lobster was the show stopper.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
So far these are my favorite lobster rolls in Boston. Warm buttery lobster stuffed in warm buttery bread. It's a very tiny shop with counter service ordering and only a few seats. I highly recommend stopping in for a roll or grabbing one to go. I haven't tried anything else here but they have a great looking menu.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Worst lobster roll and clam chowder I've probably ever had. Granted, I did order this through Uber Eats but the fact that they took over 40 minutes preparing my order? I requested 12:30-1PM drop off and because they spent so long preparing an order that should've taken them 10 minutes tops, my order was nearly half an hour late (arrived 1:30PM). The lobster was sitting on this sad and soggy tiny hot dog bun, and the clam chowder had barely any bits of clam in it and also severely lacked seasoning.
google avatar

LaToya K.

Yelp
Nice large pieces of lobster on the lobster roll. Inside is small. There is some seating but definitely not ideal for a large party.
google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
Visiting Boston last week and heard about this place from a local. The sandwiches were awesome, and even better, the service. Pauli came out and spoke with our group, discussed the history of the business, DD&D appearances previous and upcoming. He even offered a picture with our group in front of the business. What a great place with a great leader of the business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
google avatar

Hunter M.

Yelp
Hot buttered lobster roll was juicy, tasty, fresh, and best of all it was delicious. That would be my first recommendation to any first timer here at Pauli's. The service was swift, and the ambiance was sub par, but you don't go for the ambiance..
google avatar

Ting Z.

Yelp
Excellent sandwiches at a very reasonable price. The menu here is HUGE and it was difficult picking just one sandwich. I tried the Paulitician; which I highly recommend. All the ingredients were fresh and worked well together, and it was one of the best chicken cutlet sandwiches I've had in a while. Sandwiches are HUGE and filling; my friend and I shared one and we were decently full at the end of it. Fries are also great. Definitely worth checking out if you're near the North End (would return to check out their lobster rolls!)
google avatar

Basaree G.

Yelp
I got the Lobsta Roll hot, tossed in butter. This cones with chips and a drink. They do not have fountain drinks, just refrigerated. They also serve Utz chips products. The lobster roll was DELICIOUS. It was my first lobster roll and I'm happy to say I got it at such an iconic place. The lobster was tender and fresh and came out quick but we also went during a time when it wasn't very busy. They are generous with the lobster. 10/10 would recommend!
google avatar

Mitch H.

Yelp
I mean, it's a great delivery option. I wouldn't exactly recommend someone visiting Boston to go out of their way to eat here. It's a reasonably priced typical Boston deli.
google avatar

Ludovica F.

Yelp
Their lobster rolls are reasonably priced and very tasty!! The place is pretty small so there isn't a lot of seating, but it's still great if you want fast and cheap lobster rolls! Only downside is that the restaurant doesn't have restrooms available for costumers.
google avatar

Natania C.

Yelp
Pauli's is known for their lobster rolls. I ordered a hot buttered one, and it was great. Some pieces of lobster could have been softer, but the bread was buttery and the fries were seasoned perfectly. It's not really a dine-in restaurant, so there's not much space, and another customer did demand I give up my seat for him, which was kind of strange.
google avatar

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
I was getting my hair done across the street and was craving clam chowder. Pauli's is right next to Neptune's Oyster and we were debating where to get clam chowder. Very happy we chose to try out Pauli's for clam chowder! It was super delicious and seasoned perfectly. I am a fan of a thicker clam chowder but this was not bad at all. I love that it had a good amount of clams in it and not just potatoes. I really enjoyed the clam chowder. Would come again and try out more of their menu items!

Yelp
This has to be the best Lobster Roll in Boston! It's a small spot and the line can get long but they move quickly and food comes out fast. We had no problem finding a spot to sit despite it being around noon on a weekday. We had a hot lobster roll (with butter) and a cold one (with mayo). My favorite was the cold, however the hot seemed to be more popular (including with my son and wife).
