‘Pawn Star’ Rick Harrison Welcomes Q’Rico to Pawn Plaza - Eater Vegas

"Rick Harrison’s Pawn Plaza has a brand new casual dining option and unlike its predecessors, it will be open for longer hours, serving up a menu of slow-roasted chicken, “authentic” Mexican choices, and a “house special,” the “cheeseshell taco” prepared with a choice of meat and a queso shell. Replacing the shuttered, Smoke’s Poutinerie and Jared’s Old Fashioned Hot Dogs & Hamburgers, Q’rico offers some quick and affordable dining for fans visiting the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop." - Bradley Martin

Just like TV. 🍿 Worth the time. 🏆 Worth the trip. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Great selection. We’ll be back. A slice of Americana 🇺🇸.

My husband loves this show and is a collector of coins. We went in just to say we went and bought something. Very busy but was able to be serviced after about 15 minutes. Worth the walk from downtown. The owners weren't there but they had a cute little cardboard in the back to photograph with. Pictures are welcomed but no video. They also have a bbq restaurant and a candy store right next door. People helping to patrol the parking lot too.

Google
Great place. I got king boo here. He was about 43 dollars but it was worth it. I'm really glad I was able to get him. I love games and this was a wonderful experience. You're not able to go in without a mask and you can buy things here if you wish or just look around. There's a lot of cool stuff here so you can get things but just know a lot of it is expensive. It's Las Vegas ya know. It will be expensive but it will give you lots of good memories. God bless and stay safe.

Google
The Famous Pawn shop! I have always love the TV show so... for me was a great experience. By the time I visit there was no queue but as people told me almost always there is a LOT of people waiting outside. You can take pictures, video is not allowed. Take your time to enjoy this place if you are fan of the Show it will not disappoint you.

Google
What a surprise to see that the place we googled to go eat was owned by Rick from Pawn Stars Show!! Was so happy that we got to see his Pawn shop and other stores there. His BBQ restaurant was great! Mac and cheese was very creamy, and cooked just right. Ribs were tasty and strawberry shortcake was out of this world! Thanks for the great food and hospitality. See y'all next time.

Google
Was alot of fun walking all the shops. Alot to see for sure. Just don't forget where you parked your car!!! You get so sidetracked and wind up walking everywhere and there are so many parking garages around, so just make sure you remember where you started. We had to use our key fob a few times to locate our car.

Google
I’m only giving it 5 stars because I accidentally went to this bbq place in the plaza. “Ricks rollin smoke BBQ” best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had !!! Was not expecting that. Pork was really good too tho. But that Mac and cheese 😂👌

Google
Hoped to see Rick and Chumlee. The closest I got was a cardboard cutout of Rick. I got a beautiful ring there. Busy, busy, busy. I'm thinking that with all the money they make, they might fix the floors. Still, I'll definitely go back.

Yelp
I was surprised to see this because 7-8 years ago it was non-existent. No matter; it had good music blaring out of speakers while you have 2 levels of entertainment to shift through. I hit up a pizza place they had, and sat at the outdoor tables (under misters, very nice) while I ate. Worth checking out for tourist stuff and/or otherwise.

Yelp
This is another cool, newish spot to check out in downtown. I love all of the cool spots that have gone in downtown just since I moved here three years ago. It took me two years to even give downtown a chance, but now I feel positive about the area. Spots like this are what have made me come around to downtown. I'd definitely agree with other reviewers that this is like a smaller Container Park. Pawn Plaza also has a focus on food and drink. There was only one store so it's not a shopping destination. Having said that, I think the food and drink options here are solid. I would eat at every one of these places. The food options include BBQ, donuts, Italian ice, pizza, and poutine. Rick's Rollin Smoke has an upstairs bar for drinks. This is a great spot if you want to make your own food crawl and sample multiple foods in one location. There are a lot of tables, shaded and unshaded available on the main level as well as the upper level. We enjoyed sitting at the tables in the sun while enjoying our food. Parking is at a premium since it is shared with the Pawn Stars store in the same parking lot. On a Saturday morning we didn't have a problem parking, but at night I'm sure you'd need to explore other parking options.

Yelp
The first time that I heard about this place it was still a concept. Then all of a sudden I saw it came up on my Yelp feed, I didn't even realize it became a thing already. I just happened to be in the area, so I stopped by to see what it was all about. The Pawn Plaza is on the small side. If you have ever been to the pawn shop, you know that the parking lot is already cramped but they were still able to fit this plaza in. During my visit, I was surprised how easy it was to find parking. There were tons of people at the pawn shop, but the plaza was a ghost town. Most of the stores close around 5pm on a weekday-- even the donut shop! The purpose of my visit was for a donut, but the only place open was the BBQ spot. It did smell really good, maybe I'll have to bookmark it and give it a try. So donuts, Rita's Italian Ice, BBQ, and Italian-- that's all I saw. I read somewhere something about poutine, but I didn't see that. If you are a fan of Pawn Stars, then this place is a must for you since there were pictures of the cast everywhere. I like the little cartoon rick on the BBQ sign. Reality shows are usually not my thing, but I do enjoy the Pawn Stars (History Channel addict over here) and will always opt to watch this show over the Kardashians any day. There were some history antiques on display second floor. Make sure to take a selfie at the Chum Lee selfie station!

Yelp
Cool business concept, a "container" plaza with several businesses in small spaces. Definitely a place fans of the show "Pawn Stars" will want to check out when they visit the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. Lots of seating upstairs to enjoy a beverage and a cool breeze.

Yelp
As Ty W. said, "It's like a mini Container Park. I came here to do a little recon before a scheduled UYE that was being held later in the evening. Pawn Plaza is the brain baby of Rick Harrison and a few other like minded people. The idea is to give the fans of, "Pawn Stars" something to do once they realize there isn't much going on at the actual store. The parking lot here is pretty compact, but there's plenty of paid street parking around the venue and down the street, just a heads up, paid parking spots are free on the weekends. You can also park in the Gold and Silver Pawn shop lot for free as well. A lot of snack options can be found here, Pizza, Italian Ice, Barbecue, Donuts, and even Poutine! The poutine (Smoke's Poutinerie) and the pizza (Inna gadda di pizza) are actually very good and definitely worth a trip. Afterwards, head upstairs to the bar and grab a frosty brew or a cocktail and possibly hang with the man himself, Rick Harrison. Rick "bartends" on certain nights at the BBQ joint, which I'm sure is just an orgy of weird and awkward tourists clamoring for pictures of and with the pawn master himself, sounds like fun. The Pawn Plaza. Finally a place where the locals can hang out when their out-of-town friends want to see the world famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop.

Yelp
From the outside, it looks like a smaller, cheaper version of the Container Park. Most of the spaces are cubicle-sized food stands with grab-and-go options and covered shared seating. It's essentially an outdoor food court. And somehow, it works. Current occupants do not overlap in cuisines (pizza, poutine, coffee/donuts, gelato and Italian ice, BBQ) and there are a few boutique style shops to browse before or after your bite. Surprisingly, despite the constant crowds at Gold & Silver and this plaza's relatively small dedicated parking lot, getting in and out (at least on weekday nights) has been hassle-free. I'm sure it fills up fast on weekends, but there's enough nearby street parking to where it shouldn't be a huge inconvenience.

Yelp
Wish there were more shops. We tried the smoked barbecue place and visited Chumlee's Candy Shop. The "Pawn Star" opened the door himself and was very welcoming. I'm glad they're branching out. Nothing like old fashioned entrepreneurship to change this part of town, where it used to be a seedy no man's land is now a colorful building with potential. I hope the locals will patronize this place.

Yelp
I have been to Pawn Plaza a few times now and enjoyed most of what there is to offer. Pawn Plaza is a small strip mall made of shipping containers and the outside of them is hard to miss with noticeable bright colors of blue, yellow and red. Since each business is inside a shipping container and though some businesses take up more than one container, there isn't much room inside them aside from Rick's Rolling Smoke BBQ and Tavern which does offer a limited amount of seating and tables. Pawn Plaza has a 1st and 2nd level with seating and tables. Downstairs is best during the colder months because there is heat lamps above most of the tables. This last winter I met with a friend for dinner and was worried I'd be too cold, but sitting at one of the tables with a heat lamp above made it so I didn't feel cold and was able to comfortable enjoy my meal and company. Upstairs there weren't any heat lamps and it's pretty much open air. There are two sets of stairs and one elevator that will get you upstairs and back down and there are bathrooms. Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame owns Pawn Plaza and it's funny the amount of people that line up next door at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop that he owns to try and get a picture when he can be found some nights tending bar here upstairs at Rick's Tavern. Rick was behind the bar one night when I was there recently and I have to say that while he did come over to take a picture with us, he really wasn't very friendly and seemed like he didn't really want to be there. Pawn Plaza has been pretty dead when I have visited which is too bad because there are some solid places for food and parking has been hassle free. If anything call and place an order for pick up at the pizza place and take it back to your home or hotel room and thank me later. Current tenants at Pawn Plaza: Smoke's Poutinerie - Located downstairs. Try this it's good! They even have vegetarian options and I really love that the gravy isn't overly salty, it's just right. Rick's Rollin' Smoke BBQ and Tavern - Redneck Nachos are very good! Restaurant is downstairs and bar is upstairs, but food can be ordered from the bar. Rita's Ice Custard Happiness - located downstairs and the perfect way to finish off a meal from one of the eateries is with some delicious Italian ice from here :) Inna Gadda di Pizza - Located downstairs. If you are a fan of Secret Pizza (before it blew up on tv and became one of the worst kept secrets in vegas) then you will love the pizza here. It's opened by the creator of Secret Pizza and the prices (for now anyway) are very reasonable. The pizza and calzones are really tasty. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card. So-Cal Speed Shop - Located upstairs. Vegas Flip Flops - Located upstairs. Pawn Plaza Vowel Renewal - Located upstairs. Pawn Donut & Coffee - Located Downstairs. Owned by the same people behind Inna Gadda di Pizza, which is why you will find the days leftover donuts for sale at the pizza place, isn't really that great. I have had a few of the donuts from here and just wasn't impressed. I'll stick with the pizza and poutine!

Yelp
It's much like everyone described... The donuts & pizza are great, the BBQ, not so much; overpriced & season-less meat... It's not busy at all at night & most shops close early, so it's a better daytime destination... I could care less about pawn shops, but if you're a fan, great; if not, it's still a fun snack stop during nice weather...

Yelp
The only thing missing from this plaza in the Wild Wild West is the rolling tumbleweed. Pulled into this ghost own around 7pm on a Saturday night for a bite to eat.with this being my first visit I was concerned about parking in the area but that wasn't an issue, only 4 cars in this tiny lot. There were several food options, a poutine eatery, pizza place, a bbq joint and Rita's Italian ice and custard. There is a doughnut shop but it was closed but the pizza place had some of the leftovers since it's their sister shop. I'm not sure if they get a better crowd during they day but this is not a place worth visiting at night with all the other places in Vegas that has a crowd and a pulse.

Yelp
Only making a review for the upstairs bar. Went in on an impulse and really loved our drinks. We also happened to come in during their late night happy hour for locals AND ladies night so our drinks were super cheap. The bar was super relaxed and our server was amazing. Very cool bar and relaxed scene.

Yelp
Pawn Donuts...Best Long John I have ever eaten! Friendly people. The tables and chairs are great for an outdoor place they don't feel like they are going to colapse under you. Going back to try the pizza.

Yelp
Great food. Pbr on draft and nice open air environment. Get something to eat then go to the pawn shop and check out the cool merchandise.

Yelp
Reading these reviews I guess I'm not the only one that thought this place was a Mini Container Park (Hi Stefany V., Ty W., Nate M.!) Pawn Plaza is next door to the famous Pawn Stars pawn shop. The parking lot is big enough that we had no problem getting in on a Saturday night. Also, parking is free! The plaza is way less than a quarter of the size of Container park and has mostly restaurants. Pizza, poutine, BBQ, Italian ice, etc. Most of the restaurants are small stands and seating is outdoors. Finding a seat was not a problem when we went but I could see it being a problem if it were busier (does it get busier?) It was pretty empty when we went (even though it was Saturday evening!) Overall its a cute place to people watch or grab a snack if you're checking out the Pawn Shop. If you're a tourist, it's not a destination worth driving to specifically. But it is something cute to check out if you're in the area.

Yelp
I like it here. Of course this is the biggest shopping center, but the atmosphere is really cool. Overall, I recommend you to get here at least looked.

Yelp
Fun place to go while you're visiting the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop or just by itself. I love the food selections they have especially Inna Gadda di Pizza and Rolling Smoke BBQ. The Coffee and Donut shop is a great compliment to any meal too. They could do without the wedding planning store though and make it mostly a food destination.

Yelp
Thank you Rick! So glad you guys opened. All my visitors to Vegas want to go to your pawn shop but I have to sit around with nowhere to eat - Now you created a great place to relax, eat, my kid loves the specialty donut shop and custard place. Plus the neighborhood has color now. Not so desert sand colored like all the other buildings
