Pros: The space is beautiful, the food is delicious, and Ethan, the bartender, was loved by the guests.
Cons: Emily, the Director of Catering Sales, was the person I did almost all communication with ahead of my event (a 30th birthday party with ~40 guests). It was incredibly difficult to communicate with Emily. I would send emails to which she would only partially respond. We scheduled a video call and she logged on over 10 minutes late, only notifying me she would be late after I asked via email if the call was still happening. Emily was supposed to provide a day-of contact for the event, and never communicated who the person was. On the day of the event, no staff person identified themselves as that day-of contact. My friends and sisters were left running into the back rooms throughout the event to find staff members to answer questions/help replenish supplies, etc. I had been very clear ahead of the event that I had a severe gluten allergy and was looking for the event menu to be 100% gluten free. No gluten-containing items were on my contract. At the event, the first thing out on the buffet was a basket of flour tortillas. When I followed up after the event, I was told that my gluten allergy was not notated and that no where did it say not to put flour tortillas out on the buffet. There were many other frustrations throughout the event, including not receiving my cake back at the end of the event and then being told that "the cake had flies in it, so it was thrown out."
I did speak with Matthew, the Catering Events Director, about these frustrations after the event. He refunded approximately 5% of the total bill for all of the incidents that occurred.
