Really good food, it was delicious and fresh. I'll definitely go back. The Service was great. Our waitress was calm and helpful when asked questions and she knew the market prices for the dishes unmarked. I loved the atmosphere there, it was quiet and had ambient lighting which set a great mood for my date. I'll Definitely visit again as it's added to my new favourites.

First, Austin, our server was great. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. Both of our meals tasted great and were hot, fresh, and came quick. The atmosphere was good too. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for seafood. Although the non-seafood menu is small, my wife (who doesn't eat seafood) had chicken pasta that was delicious.

Google
Ok, call me crazy, I love their smashed cheeseburger, I know it’s a seafood restaurant, my wife likes the seafood boil, crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage. The seating is comfortable, we like to sit at the bar, there’s plenty of room. We love the food, upbeat atmosphere and the beyond amazing staff.

Google
I usually only get oysters when I am right beside the beach. This place severs that little rule of mine. The oysters are fantastic. A variety from all over, really apeases the palate. Especially with how fresh they are. The Pearl tavern has a beautiful way of making your visit intimate and romantic, while also holding an fun inviting bar vibe. Long story short. If you love good seafood, and a fantastic environment. Go. Here. It's worth it.

Google
What a great little find. It all food but I won't to tray chicken . Loved it and the key lime dessert 🍨 is the best I've had.

Gwen Basden

Google
One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Quite a variety of delicious food choices. I really luv the oyster prices during happy hour.

Douglas Bennett

Google
I ordered the lobster Macaroni. The macaroni was very good, but my lobster was very hard and a lot of it was closer to chicken texture. I would have returned it if I hadn't ordered it on uber eats. Charging 30 dollars for old lobster. You guys should be ashamed.

Google
I've been meaning to try this place for a while. I wasn't impressed. Food was alright. I've had worse at other places. I think you should always try a place and decide for yourself. I, however, probably wouldn't go back if I was paying for the meal. It was a chill environment.

Yelp
Fabulous meal. I highly recommend their happy hour! Everything was super tasty. Great service during happy hour to transition into dinner. We had the hush puppies, ceviche, blackened shrimp tacos, and the mixed grill. Everything was perfect! Their mashed potatoes are sooo good as well.

Yelp
Went to Pearl Tavern in Lees Summit for the first time on 3/2/25. It is tucked away behind some buildings, so it is hard to miss if you're not paying attention. Upon entering it has sort of an open concept. The bar sets to the left and is noticeable upon entering, though it is not very big. The restaurant was clean and did not have any weird smells. We ordered shrimp tacos, shrimp cocktail and gumbo. The shrimp was huge and learned from the cook they came from the Gulf of America and the cocktail sauce was delicious. The gumbo was very flavorful. The drinks were good and strong. The food was excellent, the food presentation was great. The cook was absolutely amazing. He educated us on how he made the gumbo and how he cooks other dishes. The server wasn't very attentive, maybe he was having bad day...it happens. Nevertheless, we will come back to enjoy the food and maybe rap with the cook some more.

Yelp
We went to Pearl Tavern on Saturday evening and had a great time. The food was fantastic. I had the Shrimp Po Boy and my wife had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Fresh seafood is difficult to find in Kansas City, but the shrimp and lobster were fresh and delicious. Our waitress was great. Attentive and informed about everything on the menu. I really like Pearl. Even on a crowded Saturday night, you don't feel packed in. Great layout. Definitely a wonderful place to eat!

Yelp
Food was amazing as always! Lakota, our server, was extremely kind and attentive! Would ask for her in the future!

Yelp
This is our second visit for Pearl Tavern, thanks to restaurant week. Got there a little early and had some happy hour cocktails served by Deante. We joined our family for dinner. The fresh fish of the day was cobia, so ordered the grilled Cobia with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish had a nice buttery rich flavor, cooked perfectly and paired well with the creamy mashed potatoes. For the appetizer, I chose the blue crab dip from the restaurant week menu. The chips were too greasy & disappointing. My boyfriend got the clam chowder which very creamy and flavorful. For dessert I had the chocolate chess pie. It was a good mix of sweet, crunchy and salty. Gonna have to find a recipe to make it on my own. Service was exceptional at the bar & table.

Yelp
Had not been here in many years, we wanted to get hh and some snacks and this place did the trick! They had a great hh menu with several small plate options we got the shrimp boil, the ceviche the, fries, and a couple glasses of wine. If you're in the area I recommend you come by and try them out the seafood is fresh and fantastic. The servers also wonderful

Yelp
We tried this place for the first time tonight. It was pretty good. I was a little dubious about eating oysters in the middle of America, but these were good. They had a wide selection of oysters and I picked three of them and they were lovely. I also had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, and the prawns were enormous if not a wee bit overcooked. They were kind of chewy. The cocktail sauce was excellent. My wife shared the calamari appetizer with her sister, and they both enjoyed it. The hush puppies were excellent! My wife shrimp was a little bit too spicy for her. The menu said hot shrimp, which she assumed to be warm, but it was actually spicy. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were wonderful. I like spicy things and especially enjoyed the habanero salsa. We were all too full for dessert, but they did look good. We are happy to return to Pearl Tavern soon.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is cute. Couple things stood out that we didn't like. Tables had a divider, slightly weird and uncomfortable. Luckily the family that sat on the other side of the divider were friendly, I'd opt out for table seating, moving forward and would consider the half booth/table. They were busy Saturday evening. With reservations, upon arrival we got seated immediately. Drinks came out within 5-10 mins, however the food - we thought they forgot my food (ceviche), it took nearly 30 mins for it. And unfortunately it was so spicy, I couldn't finish it. Almost immediately, after my first bite, my nose starts running and I'm just sweating from the spice. I've never had issues with spicy food but this was uncomfortably spicy. My sister was taken aback at how spicy it was. I brought it home & my husband was confused as to how ceviche could be this spicy. Yet, the amount of ceviche they give you is perfect, just wished the spice level was more so a 1-2, instead a 10.

Yelp
We went here for a rehearsal dinner (~30 people), and were seated in a private room in the back. It was nice that we were secluded in our own area, but the space got pretty warm quickly, especially compared to walking outside of the room. Those at my table got the cucumber mojito crush, orange and bourbon crush, strawberry basil crush, and an apple pie crush (which I believe was the monthly special). While the crush's were tasty, we all kind of decided the amount of ice compared to the liquor in them was a bit of a rip off, and thus after a first round of crushes, ended up switching to traditional cocktails. There was then a pre-set menu of times including an appetizer of either a salad or clam chowder, then an entree of fish of the day, chicken, or steak, and a dessert of a chocolate chess cake, or cheesecake. I went with salad, steak, and cheesecake for my meal. The salad and the cheesecake were really good, the steak was a little overcooked for my liking, however, across the room the cooks on the steak were WILDLY inconsistent, some were raw, rare, medium, medium well, and well done. The reason for the 3 stars is the inconsistency across meals and the length of time it took - while we were a big party, a reservation had been made well in advance and it took close to an hour for even our appetizers to come out.

Yelp
Came here due to not dining here in a while and of course this place NEVER disappoints me! Service was great per usual. It just so happened while I was there it was HH which of course is bonus! Selected oysters are $1! Drinks and appetizers are still the same price from the last time. I ordered East and west coast oysters, seafood gumbo, blue crab dip , lobster Mac and Cheese and for my entree I got blackened lake trout which mashed potatoes and asparagus and crab cakes. (No judgement lol) 10/10 everything was fresh , prepared and cooked to perfection. Drinks were delicious as well, I had The Mermaid Water, Pom Crush and the Upside Down Pineapple cake (it's not on the menu, you have to ask for it, DELICIOUS!!!) if you really enjoy seafood this is the place to be! So many great options to choose from.

Calie H.

Yelp
It is a bit out of our way, but this place is a must whenever we are in Lees Summit area. One of the best places for HH! We both got a dozen of Delaware Bay oysters and they were 1/2 price off. That's a pretty good deal for some fresh tasty oysters. We also ordered ceviche, mussels, and blue crap dip. All 3 items were under $10. And the portion is shareable for two people. Our favorite of all was blue crap dip. I could eat that all day long. Kaitlynn, our server, was very sweet and attentive. She definitely made the dine-out enjoyable. If you haven't been to Pearl Tavern, what are you waiting for? Go!

June B.

Yelp
I ordered the fish and chips and there was only one piece of fish and a ton of fries. The Caesar salad wasn't fresh. I've ordered from Pearl Tavern before and had a good experience, but this time it was very disappointing.

Tanna K.

Yelp
fresh oysters!! very yummy and very kind service! my boyfriend and i eat here a lot lol.

Larisa H.

Yelp
The interior is nicely decorated and the lighting was great, very nice ambiance. This was my husband and I's first time here, so I'm not sure how busy it normally gets, but it was not very busy and it was fairly quiet. Our server was so kind and attentive, she did a great job of explaining the menu to us. I tried the Espresso Martini Crusher, and while I'm no expert in Espresso Martini's, this one was one of the best I've had. To start, we decided on the Blue Crab Dip. It came out quickly and was nice and warm, the naan paired so well with the dip! For mains, my husband got the Fish & Chips. The fish was nice and flakey and the crust was perfectly crispy. I got the Lobster Roll with a side of Mac & Cheese. The Lobster Roll was phenomenal, I'm still thinking about it. They keep it nice and simple with the veg. and mayo, letting the Lobster meat really shine (as it should). The Mac & Cheese was sooo gooey and cheesy and perfect! 10/10 will be returning.

Yelp
I've been a regular at Pearl Tavern for years, and it's become a staple for both date nights with my hubby and happy hours with my girlfriends. Their happy hour is top-notch, although I usually opt for the spicy pineapple margarita crush instead of the regular drinks - it's just too good to pass up, even if it's not on the happy hour menu! When it comes to food, the shrimp tacos and ceviche during happy hour are absolute winners in my book. I can't get enough of them! And to round off my meal, I always treat myself to a cappuccino - their coffees are fantastic. One thing to note is that depending on the time of day, the sunlight streaming in through the windows can be a bit intense, so be prepared for that. In terms of service, I've had a variety of experiences over the years - but that's bound to happen when you're a regular, right? Overall, though, I've found the service to be solid and the staff friendly and accommodating. All in all, Pearl Tavern is a fantastic spot that I keep coming back to time and time again. Whether it's for a cozy date night or a fun evening with friends, it never disappoints. Cheers to many more years of great times at Pearl Tavern!

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times. The food seems fresh and thoughtfully prepared. For me it lacked seasoning. Nice atmosphere though.

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary here and it was the perfect place for it. We started with two of the crush drinks and they are sooo good. My bf actually ended up not liking one and our server was so kind and got him another free of charge. She was amazing the whole night! For food we started with a smoked salmon dip which was great. I did the lobster mac and cheese and I still dream of it. It's a pricey place but definitely worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
It's so nice to have a decent seafood restaurant that isn't red lobster or crazy expensive. This place would fall somewhere between although it is a lovely atmosphere for a nice dinner! We started with the blue crab dip and it was Amazing! So delicious and full of flavorful crab and with the fried nan, it was perfect. I ordered the Chilean Sea bass and it was cooked perfectly. The side of sautéed vegetables was prepared so beautifully and the flavors were perfect. The rice was just okay. I think I'd prefer to substitute the rice for something else next time. Another person at my table ordered the lobster roll and she loved it! The drinks options are really fun and unique and we enjoyed trying a couple of those as well. The service was a bit slow , but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back.

Luke S.

Yelp
This is one of the top tier restaurants in the city. We have been many times now and tried a majority of the menu. It is consistently one of the best seafood restaurants in the city. The rangoon are to die for. Anything from the fresh catch is my favorite way to go.

Grace S.

Yelp
Service was great and the food was delicious. Had a great time catching up with the girls!

Yelp
I gotta say that if you're in the mood for seafood in KC that the Pearl Tavern is where I recommend you go. The lobster roll is my favorite since the sauce is exquisite and they give you a perfect amount of lobster. The roll itself is delicious too. I've never had bad service and even when I've overheard someone have a problem it's always taken care of really quickly. It's a fun place to go and has a rotating variety of fresh seafood. The decor isn't overwhelming and adds to the experience quite nicely. We tried the calamari for happy hour and it was delicious. We've also had the crab dip with their naan bread and can definitely recommend that appetizer as well. Overall, I can definitely recommend the Pearl Tavern as one of our favorite restaurants in town.

Yelp
It was my first time at Pearl Tavern, but it will definitely not be my last. If you like seafood and this is the spot for you. I came here with family. We had a large party. There were about 11 of us, and we called ahead and made a reservation. When we got there, our table was almost done being set up, and we were seated very quickly. Once we got seated, our waitress came by and got our drink orders. She came back quickly to get our appetizer orders and was super patient and helpful in answering our questions. Our appetizers came out quickly, and they were all amazing. Even though I forgot to take pictures, we had grilled oysters, hush puppies, crab dip, cauliflower and brussel sprouts, and crab rangoons. I was able to eat the grilled oysters and the hush puppies, as well as the crispy cauliflower and brussels sprouts. The hush puppies had a nice crunch with a little spicy, and the grilled oysters were cooked to perfection. I could have eaten so many more. the cauliflower and brussels sprouts were a little undercooked but still tasty. We also let our waitress know that myself and one of our other guests had a shellfish allergy and she made sure that we knew what was fried with shellfish ti make sure that we didn't order anything that would cause us to have a reaction. When our entrees came out, they were fresh and hot, so much to the point that some of the food had to cool off before we could eat it. I got the stuffed salmon with mushrooms and cream sauce and asparagus. O.M.G. It didn't look like a lot of food, but it was the perfect amount. And everything was so good. After we had eaten our meals, the waitress came out with the dessert tray. Now, I know why they don't have a dessert menu because the tray is a great example of what you're gonna get, and you know the size it. I got the keylime pie. It was amazing, and I also sampled the peanut butter pie. It was good. You really have to like peanut butter and chocolate because it is super-rich, but it was tasty. I also tried the chocolate chess pie, and it was also tasty, a little bit lighter than the peanut butter. It was also rich, but it was all tasty. I appreciate our waitress taking such good care of our large party, and I appreciate that it was a place where we could have a large party and still hear each other talk and converse. And did I mention that the food was so good. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was so yummy! The wait staff were all really friendly and helpful. Place is kept clean. Food and drink was delicious! Definitely will be back for more. Keep up the great work!
google avatar

Yelp
I met a friend here last night before we had a wine and cheese pairing around the corner and this might be the BEST ahi tuna poke tacos I have ever tasted! Delicious, I can't wait to go back and give it a try! I might add that my extra dirty martini with blue cheese olives was all very good!
google avatar

Laurel S.

Yelp
Came here during restaurant week but didn't order off the RW menu because it cost more than ordering the same items off the menu which was weird. I've experienced times where the RW offering was almost same cost as menu but never where it cost a premium. Anyway hubby and I each got a smash drink, I got the Mermaid and it was delicious. Then we shared the blue crab dip which was amazing. I got the fish and chips and it was enormous. I think I ate 1/3 of it. The fish was very fresh tasting but the batter was a little thicker than I like. Loved the cole slaw and the fries were top notch. The tarter sauce was also amazing. Hubby had shrimp po boy Nashville hot and really liked it, also enormous. It's my birthday week so I got dessert which I rarely do and the key lime was awesome. Again, very large and took half home.

Yelp
I had a great time here! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere had a perfect mix of lively and cozy. The oysters were a standout--super flavorful and perfectly chilled. A definite must-visit for seafood lovers.

Yelp
I am so so sooo thrilled to Yelp about this incredible place. Please know it is my all time FAVORITE! I am a fish and seafood LOVER From The Top of my heart! The FOOD, Omgudness! You've GOT to try it for yourself! It's been 'my spot' since they opened (just about...a long time) and they never disappoint. The service (wonderful people) and ambience are just as good as the food. They have a huge variety of delicacies to choose from and some of the food is imported daily. I LOVE seafood and the shrimp tacos will make you slap somebody. Other favs are blue crab dip, ceviche and calamari. Happy Hour is fire and the dinner menu is more than satisfying. If you enjoy a nice cocktail with your meal the list is far and wide. Go soon and go hungry! That's it!

Casey E.

Yelp
My family and I were excited to try this for the first time for my wife's birthday. We sat this evening for 30mins with zero service. Having multiple servers walk by with no regard to us sitting there. Very disappointed by this. Will definitely be gun shy to step back in.
google avatar

Soudary K.

Yelp
This is a Seafood restaurant located in Lees Summit. This place seem popular as the parking lot was full when we arrived here for dinner around 6pm on a Saturday night. Casual atmosphere. Extensive menu with fresh fish to choose from. Non-seafood is also available on the menu. Food at this place was really great. I would come here again.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
We were looking for a new place to try for my birthday, bonus if they had oysters. After doing a search we came across Pearl Tavern and decided to give it a try. It far and above exceeded our expectations! The oysters were plump and juicy, the service was amazing and I had the Sea Bass....the best I've ever had!! Hands down our new favorite place and we'll most definitely be back.

Gina D.

Yelp
The food and service were fantastic! It's rare these days to find both in a restaurant. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Sherelle L.

Yelp
Pearl Tavern is apart of the Summit Group and I love all of their establishments! I find Pearl to be more expensive, but it is seafood so understandable. Their happy hour is from 3-6 pm daily like their other restaurants! Their drinks are good, but it also depends on the bartender. I believe one time I had return a drink because it did not taste right (but that is out of 4 + years) My favorite thing to get from here is the calamari! They give you 3 sauces and they are all delicious. I also enjoy their lobster roll, blue crab dip, hot n peel shrimp, and Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. These have never disappointed!
google avatar

Andrea N.

Yelp
The food here is definitely delish. I waited way to long to experience this gem. This place is tucked away in the Lees Summit shopping center just off the highway. Their raw bar offerings and vast and fresh. I had the chargrilled oysters and corn & crab sauté. The sauté was a smidge under seasoned and had so much potential, when I think of sauté I'm thinking warm and buttery and garlicky but this was neither more like a crab corn salad. The oysters were perfect and my Crushable Cocktail was great. The scallops were really greasy and a great portion/size. The dessert was great. Definitely will be back. Not many good seafood restaurants in the area and this one is in my top 5! Cheers!
google avatar

Cassandra P.

Yelp
Always leave happy and full when I eat here. Good staff. Fresh seafood. They need one in the city.
google avatar

Derion R.

Yelp
Me and my friend went out for dinner and we both enjoyed the food and our waitress. Due to not ever hearing about this place and being a KC native, I was a bit on edge with trying it out. However, Pearl Tavern exceeded my expectations. Very cute place and great food. The only downside was the crab Rangoon was a bit dryer on the outside from what I'm use to but the inside was phenomenal and they still get a 5 star review from me!
google avatar

Vicki B.

Yelp
Who knew fresh seafood was available here in Lees Summit? A wonderful menu of delights to share. We were a party of five and shared the ceviche (perfection)) shrimp tacos, the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts (amazing); halibut (delicious) and the mahi (also delicious). So many choices I'd come here again! I heard they have a great happy hour too.
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
Great fresh oysters! My favorite place for happy hour with friends not to loud so you can have great conversations and drinks! The wait staff is fun nice attentive group!

Teresa M.

Yelp
Everything food ambiance service! Go before happy hour is over! Lots of fun! I have been there many times. I picked Pearl Tavern for my birthday. Thanks Teresa

Ryan A.

Yelp
No happy hour on holidays and no way to know that before you get here. Posted on every single table but nothing that says not on Father's Da. My one day that I picked to come here. I am heart broke!
google avatar

Susan V.

Yelp
Great service and apps. Yummy ahi tuna tacos. Great place to go on a date Or to meet up with friends. Will go back !!

Richard B.

Yelp
This was my third visit here and won't be my last. I ordered the fried shrimp platter. The shrimp were very large very tender and flavorful. But I have to be honest the hush puppies were terrible to the point I could not eat them . They were stone hard and had no onion flavor at all.. I love hush puppies and that was the reason I ordered what I did so I was a bit disappointed. The calamari and crab rangoon appetizers were excellent. My son had the lobster roll and a side of clam chowder and he said it was very good. All in all I recommend Pearl Tavern if you like seafood. The service was very good also

Susan C.

Yelp
First time having dinner here. It was a mixed bag. We ordered beers. Mine came lukewarm and in a bottle. The waitress didn't offer to pour it in a glass. I asked if they had a side Caesar salad. She said they did and asked if we wanted it before the meal. I said yes but it came with the meal. It wasn't a side salad it was the full sized salad and it was very different. Olives and tomatoes. Not the best I've had not the worst. Dinner was very good. Blackened mahi and mashed potatoes were cooked well and tasty. They were also a decent sized portion. My husband loved his brownie pie with ice cream. We will try it again but hope for better consistency.
google avatar

Donna Y.

Yelp
Bridal party ladies day out. We shared hush puppies and calamari as appetizers. Best hug puppies I've ever had and the sauce was delicious. The calamari was good and came with three dip options. All were delicious and most people used the mayo-based sauce on the hush puppies too. We ordered several beverages including a carafe of mimosa, blackberry bramble, mermaid, and strawberry basil drinks. Loaded and delicious with fresh ingredients. Everyone's meals were top knotch. The salad, Benedict, and waffles were crowd faves. (We put them on the lazy Susan into the middle of the large table and everyone took turns trying the dishes. Highly recommend this location for special meals and special occasion brunches.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Tried out their happy hour today - lots of choices, good prices and good service. We tried their oysters (hubby said they were good) at 1/2 price, the poutine and the blackened shrimp tacos. I thought the tacos were excellent - fresh with plenty of shrimp and flavor including the jicama slaw and habanero salsa (great kick!). Hubby enjoyed the poutine and it made him want to come back and try their chowder. We will be sure to return and try their dinner menu!

Itiel C.

Yelp
The lobster rolls are so good. You get a lot of lobster. The mac and cheese is also good. The service was excellent. A cute date spot.

Deon A.

Yelp
Great appetizers, great food and good atmosphere. One of Lees Summits gems! The Nashville Hot Po Boy and the forbidden rice is really good.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
Pearl is our favorite spot for date nights. Reserve your spot and enjoy the dimly lit ambience of Pearl. Try their Ahi tacos and mermaid water. The service is always great here too. Bring a sweater or cover because it does get a little chilly in there. We never have room for dessert but I will try their pies one day, they look delicious!
google avatar

Amy V.

Yelp
3/5. We were sat at a shared table, with a wood dividers. This was very off putting as I saw many 2 top tables available. There was a very large party right next to us, they were annoying and loud. Why not create a party room? The food was good, but I am not sure we will return due to the ambiance and overcrowding.

Rae Lynne B.

Yelp
This place was pretty great! The char grilled oysters were a little disappointing...nothing like the garlic, butter ones I've had before. Kinda bland. The cioppino was amazing! The crab cake was good and had lots of lump crab in it. And the mac n' cheese was awesome! I had it with lobster! Get the roasted corn hush puppies for a starter! The atmosphere is cozy and nice and the service is great!
