Tucson’s Best New Restaurants - Eater Phoenix

"Hidden away in a downtown coffee shop, Penelope uses the wood-fired pizza oven in the middle of the open, cozy space. The signature Sgt. Pepper pizza is topped with garlic oil, smoked cheeses, roasted Anaheim chilies, sausage, Desert Provisions Hatch green chili salt, and Mike’s Hot Honey." - Jackie Tran

Definitely worth the hype. Lasagna was a huge portion, definitely 10 layers. OTC pizza paired perfectly and was outstanding! Absolutely delicious pizza. Can’t wait to come back and try the other offerings. Great service! Busy and bustling, but attentive staff.

The best tasting pizza I’ve ever had. Tony bologna was amazing. My friend ordered the 10 layer lasagna was yummy. The beer that I ordered was phenomenal. It was a cider mellow absolutely delicious. I will be back again and again and live that’s it’s local.

We had to stop in and see why this place is always packed. It did not disappoint. We weren't brave enough to try any of the specialty pizzas. We stayed simple and had a pepperoni pizza and shared a chicken parmesan. Both were delicious. We will be returning. 👍

The best pizza in Tucson!🍕 I got the spicy Jim with sausage and mushrooms, and my wife got the OTC with mushrooms. 😋 If you like Old Fashioneds, theirs is amazing! And they made my wife an incredible chocolate espresso martini! 🍸 We started with the meatballs—what a great start to the meal! #Tucson #Pizza #Food #DateNight #Meatballs #EspressoMartini #OldFashioned

Friendly greeting when we arrived. Service was excellent, as personnel traded off taking care of order, replenishing drinks, delivering food. My wife had a salad that was very good. I had a Classic Pepperoni that was good. We were told the flour comes from Italy, and pizza crusts are fermented 24 hours. Gluten free crust is also from Italy. If you want gluten free you need to contact them 24 hours ahead of time as they do not make it daily to “have on hand”. Vibe is kind off a light bar environment, music played st reasonable level and multiple TV’s.

We arrived shortly after they opened and had a 40 minute wait. It’s a little uncomfortable when waiting for a table as there is no designated waiting area unless you want to stand outside (not a good idea in az) so everyone just pools together around the front door. When we got seated there is no single server that takes care of your table so you do have to flag a worker down when you need something. I didn’t really like that. Pizza was good, though I did think they left it a little too long in the oven as the burnt sections on crust was more than what I would have preferred. Also music is really really loud. I was shouting just to talk across the table. It became overwhelming.

Wonderful place for a casual, friendly meal, especially if you like pizza! My husband and I came by after reading the reviews. This place is right down the street from our home, and we wanted to try it out. The restaurant/bar is bright and casual with a very friendly vibe. We met Tobey, the bartender, very cordial guy with great recommendations for beer and wine. The Pinot Noir was yummy!. We shared the burrata and tomato appetizer. The large tomatoes were sliced thinly with a nice chunk of burrata in the middle. Do not miss out on this plate. It was scrumptious! I also love pepperoni. The Nina pizza was loaded with it. The place gets busy fast, but it is definitely worth the wait. We will be going back often.
