I've been here for a few times now, and I'm probably not going to be back. The food is pretty good but the service was enough to put a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm a pastry chef, so in terms of their pastries I'd say for vegan treats, it's good, though the frosting they use is much too sweet for my taste and a bit overpowering. The breakfast sandwich is plant-based and my best friend enjoyed it. I'm always excited to get plant-based food that's also gluten free and see how far it's progressed over the years. Upon ordering it, though, I had a discussion with the tall man taking my order that left me feeling less than welcome. I asked him if it was all vegan, more in a way of being excited and to make conversation, and he was condescending towards me, like I should already know. He didn't need to roll his eyes or act like a prick about it. I was genuinely excited and was going to ask more questions from a professional standpoint, but I quickly left to wait outside. Patiently, mind you, as it took FOREVER to get a sandwich and a coffee with only one person ahead of me.
It took 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee, to which the cook in the back put it on my table, didn't acknowledge me or say anything when I kindly said thanks, just kind of threw it down and walked away. I have no idea what I did or why they were being pricks when I was genuinely trying to be kind and patient, but it was enough to not return. Such a shame, as I'm more than happy to support vegan businesses. I think it's important to be kind and less condescending towards curiosity.
