Philz Coffee

Besides good coffee, this place is very spacious. I love sitting by the window people watch and also love seeing the row of trees on Market Street in front. The staff are nice. The barista sounded so enthusiastic every time she called a customer’s name and handed the coffee to them. I enjoyed seeing the street performers occasionally sings nearby as well.

Great place to grab a drink. Staff is very friendly and nice. However, if you are looking to study or get some work done here, you might find it hard to focus bc of how loud the music is.

This place is still a lot better than Starbucks or Peets, but you literally can't get "regular coffee" here. I have more than once gone to this location, asked for coffee that didn't have cinnamon or spices added to it, and each time, it still tastes like cinnamon or spices. I know a lot of people like that. If you do, then you're fine going here. Also, they don't have drip coffee ready to go. If you want a quick drip coffee fill up, then you have to go elsewhewre. If you want a good pour over, there are better places, especially if you don't want cinnamon or spiced coffee. Also, it was $6.30 before the tip prompt.

I'm always in for Philz to check out the hype, officially a fanboy and I'm hooked! I am addicted to the Dark Roast Jacob's Wonderbar blend, normally a phenomenal flavor and tones but this location specifically wasn't up to scratch in comparison. The coffee tasted weaker or unfresh as compared to other chains I've been to which was a shame. I really dig the comfy, quirky, unique and chilled vibes and tones of this chain, it's really comforting, welcoming and a rad jam.

Spiced vanilla soul was awesome. Atmosphere is ok, good for people watching. Saw Andre3000 walk by.

Coffee is absolutely delicious. But the food i wouldn’t recommend. My husband got a vegan breakfast sandwich and i got a turkey sausage English muffin. Both the sandwiches the bread was too hard. Almost like they heated it up too much? I dont think it was stale but the bread was too hard to eat. Same with the turkey sausage.

I can’t help but stop by Philz if I am in the area. The coffee is delicious. They have seating indoor and outdoor. There is a restroom. Oftentimes I come here when I am on my way to meet someone and arrived quicker than expected. I’ve also made intentional visits just to have the Philtered Soul. $6+ for a regular coffee and a 15 min wait in line? That’s way too expensive and a waste of time. There are so many other coffee places around here that are cheaper and quicker, so I recommend going elsewhere. That said, the coffee was fine.
