Came here last night around 10:30 pm. There's a parking garage near and street parking is available if you luck up. My friend and I were stopped at the door by security. He checked her purse and showed us to a table by the front. The place is not that big inside. There is bar seating and table seating. I'd say the atmosphere is more suited for a younger crowd or an older crowd that's still in touch with their younger days. It wasn't my thing. I'm more of an r&b/jazz girlie. The waitress came almost immediately and handed us sticky menus. She was pleasant. We ordered and the food came out in a decent time. The food was hot and delicious. Their wings are fried to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The chicken tips were a 1st for me and I liked them. I forgot the drink's name that I ordered but it was smoking when brought to the table. It was really good. I think the food and drinks are reasonably priced for this type of establishment. The portions are smaller. I would like to go back and try more menu items. My complaints are that there was no AC. It's summertime in Chicago. There should be AC. The front wall/window opens up so they had it wide open. I was dripping sweat. I spotted 1 industrial fan against the wall. It did not help. There's automatic gratuity on the bill. We were only a table for 2. Also, the bathroom was disgusting. There are 2. I only saw 1. The other one was locked. I walked in and walked right back out. I saw bad TikTok reviews for this place but it just goes to show you have to find out for yourself. My experience wasn't bad. Not a wow experience either. I would patronize them again on a cooler day at an earlier time just to see if the vibes are different in the daytime. I'm also wondering if the gratuity is added to takeout orders as well.

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars) I want to start by recognizing the effort of the staff. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed during my visit, and one team member in particular was doing it all—greeting guests, taking orders, and staying on top of things as best they could. However, my experience left me disappointed. I ordered lamb with a Caesar salad, but when I got home, I found lamb with fries instead. The receipt listed both salad and fries with the lamb, which was confusing, especially since I was told I’d only be getting one side. The food was nicely presented, but unfortunately too salty for my taste—and it just wasn’t what I asked for. I also made several attempts to call the restaurant afterward but couldn’t get through. I spent over $60 on a meal that didn’t match my order and wasn’t to my liking. I’d appreciate some form of compensation or at least a response. This review isn’t to tear the place down, but to offer honest feedback. I hope improvements can be made, especially around communication and order accuracy.

The service was fast, everyone was helpful and polite. Its a cozy little spot. Hands down some of the best lamb chops ive had and ive been eating lamb chops before they became popular. Lobster Ceasar salad was great... a fresh housemade dressing and croutons could easily make this salad $10 more. The Naked Jerk whole wings were delicious but there was no jerk flavor IMO. Salmon Alfredo pasta was nice, simple yet flavored very well. I am very interested in trying this with blistered cherry tomatoes or sundried tomatoes or broccolini to add a dash a freshness to the dish. But truly a very delicious meal with outstanding service. Also, shout out to the bartender because she can make a drink!! Flavor and strength!! I will be back and hope yall keep this place growing and thriving.

This was some of the best food we had while visiting Chicago. The Jerk Chicken Alfredo was absolutely phenomenal! The fried green tomatoes were amazing. The waitstaff and management were also kind and helpful. The drinks were not only aesthetically appealing but they were well made. We didn’t get to take a picture of our plates before digging in, but I think a clean plate is probably the best compliment we could give! 😋

We came in durning happy hour ordered two drinks green tomatoes and salmon egg rolls. Decided to wait to order more food to give the appetizers a try since we haven’t been here in a while. Safe to say I’m glad we waited .. fried green tomatoes were unseasoned. I only tasted seasoned on one tomato in which was very salty. The salmon egg rolls were soggy no crispy to its texture and they weren’t hot like fresh out the grease you can tell they been sitting in a warmer.. I won’t be returning

The food is always good!!! Fresh and hot! Everything tastes amazing, real Chicago flavor! Never came and had a bad experience 10/10 and the Hennessy night car is a must have! Gotta have your Shazam app ready because it’s always good music playing, the vibes are there okkk! Started coming here in 2019 and here we are 2025 and the food is still on point!

Brielle was beautiful and knowledgeable on the menu. Get whatever she recommends! Seriously.. I look forward to going back for the lobster fries and drink flight

Went here today and man this location lives up to the hype. I got the salmon eggrolls, jerk tips, and a jerk chicken Philly. Everything was delicious. Our host was cute and sweet. The place is small but still have plenty of seating. Good music and the drinks are strong. Can’t wait to go back for some more items.

I found this place through social media. I went there at night upon arrival. There isn't much street parking but they do have a garage where you can pay for parking. I think it's under five dollars or something like that. However, the ambience wasn't great but the bar/ restaurant had modern decor. They had security at the door like a bouncer so that was interesting. The hostess took our order at the door. She wasn't rude, but she wasn't very welcoming at all either. Then there was this girl doing karaoke by herself very obnoxiously loud and it just wasn't a vibe for that. There wasn't many people in the restaurant at the time however, once we finally got our food within 20 minutes, the wings were really good. The crunch is amazing. I would come back but in the daytime or order and pick up.

I was familiar with the company via the food truck. This was my first time sitting at the restaurant; the bar to be specific. The music and vibe was on point. Markita was our bartender and provided excellent service. Her smile was infectious. She made our visit that much more enjoyable - and those honey wings for an appetizer was hitting too. Keep up the good work.

I have ordered delivery from Phlavz plenty of times but never been to the actual restaurant. I sat at the bar. I didn't realize how small this establishment was, so I can see them getting crowded easily during their busiest times. The young lady behind the bar was very nice and attentive. I had their jerk burger and I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly.

Shrimp with Garlic Parmesan on the side was amazing!! Markita gave stellar service and was thorough in her suggestions. The Jerk Chicken Tips are a must!

This venue is in the heart of Maxwell Street area of Chicago the energy inside the restaurant. It's really good. The food is very flavorful wide variety of cocktails that they serve limited to their establishment. I've come to this establishment quite a few times never had a bad time only thing that I would say is, I brought my stepmom here to have lunch being that she's is about 12 years older than I am the music that they were playing had a lot of profanity in it that her generation is not too keen on so I would just say maybe tone down some of the music that they play that has a lot of profanity or vulgar language.. but overall, I will definitely still patronize this venue the salmon eggrolls they were just simply delicious. My stepmom had the lobster Caesar salad. It was delicious as well. The presentation of the food was awesome. No complaints with the food.

It's not a place I would dine with again because nothing was memorable. The pasta sauce lacked flavor. The chicken was flavorful, but the pasta and alfredo sauce itself was so bland for it to cost that much. The jerk chicken rolls didn't have much taste beyond... chicken. I have no problem tipping and tipping well, but they are fortunate for gratuity being included because our server was not deserving of a tip at all. Poor attitude/customer service on top of bland food... I mean... Again, nothing was memorable.

Jerk Alfredo little to no sauce. small portion for price, not much meat. Best part was the peach cobbler cheesecake which I found is made through another vendor, so I can go straight to the source for that. I had high hopes for this place, fell very short .

We waited an hour to eat here and that's fine, however I won't wait that long again. We were let in after a security pat down, which I've never experienced for a restaurant. Very small venue with little seating. The food wasn't that bad. We ordered the jerk wings that were overcooked and jerk tacos both with fries. The lamb chops looked good, so I will try next time, but will be ordering to-go. The jerk sauce was okay and had an element of sweetness almost bbq like. It was packed and there was a line when we left. What comes to mind is jerk adjacent.

I went here for the first time recently and I had a great time!! They have plenty of food options but I chose the Jerk Rolls and they were soooo good!!! The 1738 sidecar was amazing!!!!! The service is very quick and friendly which made me enjoy the experience even more! The inside is nice and they have patio seating as well and they play good music!! I will definitely be back to visit this place again!

After seeing Phlavz on social media I decided to stop in and give it a try. Like most, I can always appreciate a good playlist while watching a basketball game! However, it's was really the lamb chops and Janay's service that made the experience a 10/10. The lamb chops were grilled to perfection and Janay made sure I was taken care of beginning to end. Visited this place on Tuesday during my quick 24hr adventure to Chi Town. We were recommended to try here by the stylist who assisted us at the Gucci store on Michigan Ave. we had already intended on going to a different restaurant, but since we couldn't get reservations, we opted to try here. My sister made a reservation and it required a credit card and $10 deposit per person. We have plenty of restaurants back home that do this, so it wasn't really an issue or red flag. The site advises the deposit will be put towards your bill. We got to the restaurant and wasn't asked if we had a reservation, nothing. They just pointed us to a 2 seat table in the corner. The restaurant is very small but had a cute ambiance with cute neon signage all around. the menu had so many options that sounded good, we asked for our servere opinion. She just blandly said "everything", which really was not of any help to us. After browsing the menu via qr code on our phone, we opted to get the $2 jerk chicken tacos (Taco Tuesday special) and the surf n turf pasta. The tacos were really good, just lacked much jerk sauce. The pasta was dry. There was barely any sauce touching the noodles, but a little puddle of sauce sat at the bottom of the plate. The pasta contained shrimp, lobster, and 3 lamb chops. The lamb chops were tender and packed with flavor. However, the lobster and shrimp were overcooked, so they were veryyy chewyyyy. For the price of $50, the pasta was not really living up to its price. They had a $6 margarita special happening but advised they were out of bottom shelf liquor so they would have to upcharge for top shelf to be used. When the check came, they did not apply the deposit to it. We didn't notice until we got back to our hotel clear across town. All in all, this was a one and done spot for me. Already planning to get back to Chicago within the next two months and I can humbley said I would eat McDonalds before I visit this spot again.

Every time I come here they blow me away. The food here is so good and filling! They really have the right vibe going and I really appreciate the good service. I've probably came here atleast once a month recently and will continue. Get the Margarita Flight & Wings!!!

Omg I have to go back. This place was worth every penny. It's on the smaller side but they do have a variety of seating as well as bar seating available. We came in and it was a little busy but we sat down right away. Our server was a tiny bit forgetful but she had the whole floor to take care of so I understood. We ordered Lobster Fries & Lemon Pepper Salmon Bites and it was very hard not to reorder it bc It was that good. Then we ordered wingz and the honey bourbon lamb chops. The wings were good for sure. The lamb chops are deep fried and I was soooo ready to try them. Everything was literally mouth watering good. Definitely going back.

Let me say, I will move to Chicago just for this restaurant. The atmosphere, the flavor, the drinks, and the staff are all top tier!! My favorites are the lobster fries, salmon egg rolls, lobster Alfredo pasta !!! My last trip I tried some new things that set my taste buds off (lemon pepper salmon bites and surf n turf pasta)!! Seriously make sure you go in a large group to try EVERYTHING !! & invite me

I've been coming her for a couple of years. This place is going down, Not giving right portion anymore food not cooked properly. No taste no Flavor.. I got chicken tips the last time I was there, I had five chicken tips and 10 fries in my too go box. Food was disgusting. Didn't even taste properly cooked.

These jerk lamb chops and fries were so good. Tried this place when they first opened and loved it so much that we went back a few more times. They have a location in orland park too which is closer to home so that is convenient too which is also connected to an all plant based restaurant too. I recommend trying the lamb chops or Alfredo pasta and definitely the egg rolls . We tend to pick up to go from Chicago locations as certain times are hard to get seating.

This places speaks volumes to my stomach The food choice's options are always on point. The food service is fast friendly & most importantly #yummy

First time here for me. Really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. Seemed a bit expensive at first, but the portion sizes and drink sizes were well worth it! Alexis was our server and she was awesome. Very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Just didn't like it! Parking wasn't good! Only taking cash and they had no atm suggesting we walk to Bar Louie. Lastly the food was not good at all. My husband said it was ok but he was being nice and has not attempted to return suggesting he didn't like the food.

Came here with a girlfriend because we were having a night out with drinks. We ordered their Phlavs Punch to drink which tasted like your average rum punch basically. It was good and we finished it pretty quickly. We ordered the lobster fries to share and id have to say that those were bomb! The Alfredo sauce tied it all together! 10/10 recommend especially if you enjoy loaded fries. It was quite dark in there but we did go around 7/8 but it gave dark lighting for sure. There are high tables and regular tables within the space. I would come again, but it is a super casual spot!

I'm writing this from their bar. Their honey lemon pepper wings are very good. 8 wings and really good 5 guys type of fries for $15 is a steal. I am a big wing critic and these were worth every penny. It wasn't a busy evening, but got waited on quick - drink came out quick and wings came out quick and fresh. The security presence here makes me feel very safe. I recommend Phlavz!

Customer service was not good. Food was not good. Server forgot an entire meal. Manager stated it was nothing she could do. Mind you this was my first time coming.

ladonna's service was absolutely amazing! Speedy & friendly the food was impeccabl! got the salmon/jerk rolls & salmon pasta. Drinks were strong & flavorful, got the wildberry margarit!

The hostess was so pleasant. I've eaten here several times, never a bad experience. The food is amazing. I've tried almost everything on the menu. Outside of the 18% gratuity these restaurants have adapted to and the hard stools with no back support, I love this place. The bathrooms are usually clean and smell nice. I will continue to patron this restaurant.

Loved the entire vibe of this place. Food was so good we ordered food to go. Water was refilled without us asking and we were kept updated about everything we will be visiting again.

Upon entering to the very end, the service was horrible. Hostess did not even greet me, I greeted her. Then when we said there was 3 of us, she asks if we wanted the bar (why would we?!) then I pointed to a table that was free and she says "Yea I was just asking." Giving attitude. Bus boy did bring us water right away which was helping the already bad vibes. Server came and was taking our order like if we were inconveniencing her. I asked for fries and with attitude she said "which ones?!" (Opportunity to share other type of fries even though there were only 1 type of regular fries, if I wanted a special ones I would've asked for that). When asked how many wings came in the "party" wings, she said "8" (does not seem like a party amount to me). She never asked if we wanted anything else to drink besides the water the bus boy brought out. Overall ambiance was terrible. Wings were bland and small. Not worth whatever is being posted online. 0/10. 2 orders of 8 wings ($15) + non-alcoholic drinks came out to almost $70. Save your money and order Wing Stop.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, we had exceptional service. Our wings had was absolutely delicious, I love even though it had lots on sauce on it, it was still crunchy, the lobster roll was also delicious, lots of lobster and very flavorful. The jerk chicken on top of the Rasta pasta was one of the best I've had in a long time. Overall we had a great experience and will be back soon.

I ordered the surf and turf Alfredo, the honey bourbon wings, the lobster roll, Honey Bourbon Lamb Chops and jerk chicken rolls. Everything was fantastic!!!

Ok this was my second time eating here first time I came in and I ordered a burger and fries it was decent . Today my boyfriend brought my order and I stayed on the phone while he placed it (exactly as I requested) pasta and shrimp well done for the order the shrimp were almost raw . Called and called and called no answer so I was stuck with this 35$ bland undone pasta I gave 3 stars cause the first time it was decent I shd have e got the burger today this pasta was not it .

The lady who was at the front has no customer service skills what so ever (it was around 4:30pm) She is dry and honestly should not be the face of the store. Not a smile, apology for a mistake on their end (if you're ordering through Uber delivery or pickup make sure the store is actually still open before going there), nothing... I came in for my food she didn't greet me just looked down after I said what I was there for. I'm now standing awkward because she didn't have the customer service skills to say, "your food will be out shortly thank you for your patience, feel free to have a seat where you like". Other than that the food is delicious and very flavorful (their name fits them!). I had the salmon rolls, salmon burger and Philly before. They all were delicious. My guy and his son also enjoy the turkey burgers. Food is amazing! I definitely say give them a try. Unfortunately with business you don't always get the best employees who represent your company well, but I'm still here to support the owner.

Pot Roast and Grits!!! Yes, this is a total yes. I highly recommend this dish. The pot roast was extremely tender and wonderfully seasoned. So glad I found this spot on IG. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I am looking forward to trying some of the other items as well.

Atmosphere was nice and friendly. Music was great, food was okay. The meat was very good. The pasta wasn't seasoned too well.

Visited Chicago for a wedding and decided to stop here for brunch. To my surprise this establishment was very small with limited seating. Arrive early or make a reservation if you are looking to dine here. The food was just on the side of 'OK' especially for the fact that everything on the menus contains some sort of spice. This I was limited to ordering the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles were decent but the waffle tasted a little burnt to me but I didn't want to complain. My friend ordered the roast beef and grits. Again this was very lackluster and lacked flavor. I asked my server for salt and pepper and she informed me that there was no salt or paper in the establishment and provided me with lemon pepper. Adding lemon pepper to the grits and roast beef really kicked it up a notch. I also had the D'ussé mimosa which was pretty good but I notice that this establishment adds D'ussé to their dishes to increase the price. All in all I would recommend checking this place out.

The food here is good but the service is usually a hit or miss. It's either really good and the server is on point or it takes the server 40 minutes to take my order another 30 to bring out the food, and another 20 minutes to bring condiments to my table. Also the music is always too loud! The music is always good, but I should be able to hear the person next to me speaking, but I can't at this establishment unless I'm sitting in the outdoor patio section. I'd suggest going before folks get off work on weekdays and to absolutely avoid weekends and after work hours. Or better yet take your food to go!

Disappointing... was excited to try this place as it is close to my home and new but it was overpriced, lacked flavor, and left me with a stomach ache. The food was not fresh. The salmon rolls had a strong fishy smell and were slathered in creamy sauce to hide it. The jerk sauce did not taste authentic and tasted like it came from a squeeze bottle. The fried green tomatoes were just ok. Pass for me!

Loved their wings, drinks and ambiance. Would definitely be back when I'm in town. The outdoor seating is perfect during the spring.

We have always order the food on Uber. But it is soooo freaking good - I told my husband we gotta make our way there. The lobster fries are out of this world. The salmon bites were really good and the jerk chicken was terrific. Looking forward to checking out the restaurant real soon!!!

Smooth carry out experience. Ordered easily online. Received a text when the order was ready. Food was hot, looked and tested wonderful. Both the jerk nachos and jerk fries were awesome. Huge portions. Good value for the price.

Was in the area for city business next door and stumbled upon this restaurant. Decided to check it out because I really didn't want Bar Louie down the street. Walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. Restaurant is small, quaint and cute but the stools at the highboys are not comfortable at all and do not have backs to them. Definitely not made for long term seating. The menu is pretty impressive and look tasty. Lots of options, like lobster pasta, jerk pasta, and salmon egg rolls. Wednesday's they have a happy hour and their chicken wings are $1.50 a piece which when you think about it that really isn't a great of a deal. 4 wings is $6,00, but it sound good. I decided to get the wings, regular fried with mild sauce and their jerk wings and also a order of their salmon egg rolls. The food was actually pretty good I must admit. The wings were cooked fresh and the jerk wings were not too hot. The salmon egg rolls were pretty good too. I also got their signature rum punch and it had some kick to it, but for $17 I expect it to. Now on to the reason for only three stars... The service leave a lot to be desired. It's slow and our waiter just wasn't attentive as she should have been. I had to ask her a number of times for additional requests, and our check. To the point I had to physically take her the check to cash us out because after dropping it off she never returned. She never checked back in once we received our food to see if we needed anything else. I had to flag her down to order something else. You don't expect this level of service when they automatically add gratuity. Don't automatically make me pay for bad service. This is why I do not like automatic gratuity added restaurants because I feel waiters feel they do not have to work for their tips because it's automatically given to them and I definitely don't agree with a automatic gratuity when it's only 1 or 2 people dining in. For 3 rum punches, 12 wings, and a order of salmon egg rolls my bill was $118 and $18 of that was gratuity. The waiter even had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to give "a little extra" for her tip when cashing me out...girl bye! I don't want to give you the $18 let alone anything additional. Your service was terrible. I probably will not be back on this alone. I don't care how good the food is If the service is not good and you force me to tip you for it I will pass.

Service was horrible . Food is okay it not horrible . Maybe next time I will do take out . I did appreciate real noodles and not pasta from a pre made bag . But the pasta could use more seasoning . It looks amazing but lacks flavor .Security wants to look in purse and I thought that was funny because it just a basic ass spot .music super loud like trap house . I rather go to jerk 48 for jerk food & better service .

When I come to Chicago, I always like to visit Phlavz and I have been there a few times and have never complained but I went there recently and I was very disappointed. My waitress did not have the best attitude while assisting my friends and I and when it came time to figure out the bill. Our waitress had us figure out the math ourselves and did not help. I was not pleased by the service and I don't know if I would return to this place in the future!

The food was good we came in during lunch. The only con I had was that the jerk chicken sandwich was served with that nasty kraft looking cheese .. I removed it from meal.. everything else was a 5/5 wings chicken sandwich drinks everything had. Good flavor and the esthetics were nice

Me my daughter and two granddaughters went there today for lunch, each of us had something different to eat and all very satisfied, from burgers to fried chicken. Service was good and fast. only thing was the gratuity 18% to high.

Do not order the LOBSTER ROLL, it did not have no lobster meat in it only two small lobster claws, it should be illegal to sell this item for 30 dollars, I have never had a lobster roll workout lobster. This was a big rip off.
