Phlour Bakery And Cafe Review - Edgewater - Chicago - The Infatuation

"The high ceilings and exposed pipes at this bakery make it look like a warehouse-turned-expensive-downtown-loft. But instead of a service elevator and mid-century couches, this spacious Edgewater spot has tasty baked goods. They have all sorts of sweet and savory pastries like kouign ammans and danishes, plus a small selection of sandwiches—all of which you can comfortably enjoy at one of their many open tables. But if you want to flex your sandwich-making skills at home, they also sell whole loaves of bread like shokupan and focaccia." - John Ringor

I got a cardamom bun at the farmers market at Lincoln park and man was it good. Honestly almost Europe/Norway level good. I could have gone back for more!

Google
I like their croissants and bread, but the prices are a bit steep for me. I only go about twice a month. I think $4 for a croissant is much too much. But, the Ham & Cheese with a latte is worth the price occasionally. Unfortunately, I just went back this morning to buy a plain croissant and a ham & cheese croissant and I was extremely disappointed this time. The croissants are much smaller and not worth the price at all. Last year they were much bigger and better. I will be searching for a new bakery or making my own ham & cheese croissants at home.

Google
I stop in for their day olds breads ($2 but come early!) and coffee. Sometimes a turkey sandwich when I've been good. 😇

Google
Beautiful bakery with delectable pastries, bread, sandwiches, and sour dough starter. Here's annually seasonal Fat Tuesday paczis!

pHlour is my favorite bakery in Chicago. Beautiful space with great design and good vibe. Wallpapers in the restroom - love it! Croissants, loaf, sourdough - everything so fresh and delicious! Almond croissant - is my favorite thing! Friendly and helpful service. Cashier that helped us today was very patient! Definitely worth making a destination to check this bakery out.

Google
By far my favorite bakery in Chicago. Decoration is great and there are some tables to sit down and enjoy some good coffee and a good food item off the menu. The most important their breads and croissants are amazing and I always buy them when I have the opportunity.

Google
Beautiful, bowtrussed space and warmly lit. Sourdough, loaf, and croissants were delicious. Their sandwiches are fantastic as well. Found out about them at the Green City Market, definitely worth making a destination to check this bakery out.

Google
We stopped in to check this place out because our Airbnb host recommended it. The strawberry Danish was perfect, we also tried the spinach and feta croissant and a tomato basil quiche. We sat on the sidewalk and really enjoyed the experience. I had a decaf americano that was perfect. Such a cool spot!

Yelp
Don't know what all of these whiney butts are talking about My first visit this morning--service could not have been better and what weird vibe? Food was outstanding--will def be going back Bad vibe.....LOL

Yelp
I have purchased Phlour's breads for many years at the Lincoln Park farmer's market, but this was the first time that I have ever been in their shop on Bryn Mawr. Wanting to have a decent baguette to go along with a pasta dinner brought lured me in. First of all, many reviewers mention poor service, but that was not my experience. We know that they run out of some of their bread, so we called ahead to make sure they still had baguettes, and to put two aside for when we arrived. The person on the phone could not have been more helpful or pleasant. When we arrived, she had our baguettes wrapped and ready to go. The bakery is bright and welcoming, and the area where they make their baked goods is open for viewing. It was moderately busy with several groups of customers having coffee and lunch. I LOVE old school bakeries with shelves and cases overflowing with fresh baked goodies. Phlour is not like that--they have more of a limited selection, but what I saw was tempting. In addition to the baguettes, I purchased a half loaf of sourdough bread (I've had it before), and two blueberry muffins. They also had cinnamon rolls, mini-quiches and a few other items for sale. Other than the baguettes and sourdough bread, there were no other bread choices. Phlour's sourdough bread has a nice tang--with way better flavor than an expensive, half pullman sourdough loaf that I recently purchased from Publican Quality Bread. That said, the Phlour sourdough loaf has huge holes. I expect holes in a good sourdough bread, but holes bigger than 1-inch seem to indicate something that needs to be controlled in the proofing process. But the flavor is there, and it toasts beautiful, so it's a minor complaint. The blueberry muffins were big and flavorful--we loved them. Next time I am there, I want to try a mini-quiche. Phlour is a wonderful bakery on Bryn Mawr, and well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
This spot offers all the classics as far as baked goods go. Croissants, danishes, muffins, coffee, etc. They even sell these little quiches which are quite tasty, as well. I once came here after immediately dumping somebody and their quiche provided me with some much needed comfort, haha. But yeah, the quiches and danishes are solid. I should note that there is a strange vibe in the air. I can't quite put my finger on it. It feels...dead? I don't mean quiet, but rather lifeless. I don't know. It's odd. But overall, it's a solid little cafe and a decent place to enjoy a coffee and pastry.

Yelp
Beautiful pastries, excellent croissants. We wanted a Kouign Aman, but they were sold out. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy pastry and coffee. On street parking.

Yelp
I just moved into the neighborhood and have walked by this place several times. In decided to try it out. Well, I love it. Here are my pros amd cons: Pros - Its a local business - Quite - Great selection of pastries, sandwiches and bread (food was DELICIOUS) - They have wifi - Plenty of room to do my work when I want to get out of my house - Everything is made in house Con - Customer service. I didn't go there to get red carpet service, however I did expect a simple hello. Unfortunately, I felt like I was bothering the girl behind the counter. I walked up, said hello, and all I got was a stare. I mentioned that I have never been there before, in the hopes that she would make a suggestion. Not a peep. I asked her about the blend of coffee of the day. She literally said...."Its the coffee of the day". - Long story short, she didn't want to be there, didn't care about customer flow. Almost everyone that came in had to wait for her to stop talking to the back of house bakers. Almost never smiled. Its to bad that she wasn't taking her job serious. That place if great and I recommend going there. My hope is that the owner reeducates the employee on how important it is to simply say "welcome" or "hello". Many small businesses are closing down in this neighborhood. Customer service one of the easiest ways to get people to come back.

Yelp
Great local bakery on Bryn Mawr in the heart of Edgewater! The pastries are huge and there is so much to choose from. Really love the breakfast goodies, only issues is that once you order, it is always a bit of a wait until you get your food. Coffees and all are delicious, as well! Great atmosphere and love having this in a walkable distance!

Yelp
It smelled amazing and we wanted To support a local bakery. So we walked in and there was silence. It was some people eating table and we were looking around. No one greeted us so we walked up to the front and started looking at the bread in the front. It looks and smells great. I just wish that the customer service and the prices were more friendly. Not for us, good luck.

Yelp
They have delicious cinamon rolls ammd lingonberry pastries. make sure you count your to go orders cause i was shorted once one of best tasting bakeries around i go regulary and often freeze some for later

Yelp
Great baked goods. Excellent coffee. Very friendly service. I recommend the feta spinach quiche. Also loved the cheese Danish.

Yelp
Sandwiches were really good, coffee was good, I'd definitely recommend. Bread was fresh and crisp.

Yelp
This review is for their stand at Green City Farmer's Market in the West Loop, I haven't been to their retail location. Their line is always the longest, and for good reason...their goods are tasty! My staple is their Jalapeño & Parmesan sourdough bread, it's so so good. Great fresh, great toasted, there's really no going wrong with any preparation. Eat it alone, add avocado, cream cheese and lox, make a sandwich! The only reason for 1 star off is the price tag, $11 for a loaf of bread is rich. I've also gotten their pastries (almond, chocolate & plain croissants, cheese danishes etc) and they're good but again the price tag is like $6+ per pastry. Sometimes you just want to treat yourself and that's ok!

Yelp
Went there this morning to get breakfast. My favorites are the blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll, and quiche. I order a broccoli and cheddar cheese quiche, blueberry muffin, and iced coffee. I asked for an iced americano and the barista (who is cute and friendly) told me that they don't make espresso drinks, so he suggested an iced coffee which I did. Of course, the quiche and blueberry muffin was tasty. If you get a chance stop by here and give it a try.

Yelp
Purchased foccacia and a cinnamon scone while I was out at the green city market. I got in line because a lot of people were at the booth. The line was long, but it moved quickly. The foccacia is perfect! I am definitely going back for more.

Yelp
Phlour serves up fresh and aromatic breads, pastries, and more in a modern spot for remote working and casual meets. I have lived in the Edgewater area for a couple years and always loved Phlour's quippy neon signs, but hadn't stopped in until now. I stopped in on a Friday morning and ordered a mini broccoli and cheese quiche to-go. The quiches are refrigerated, but there is the option to heat it, which takes around 10 minutes. It was well worth the wait. Five minutes in, the delicious smell of the warming quiche filled the entire shop. When I took it home it was still warm. The quiche was one of the most delicious I've ever had. Flaky, buttery crust, flavorful eggs, fresh broccoli and cheese - I can't stress enough how much I LOVED this quiche. It was perfect for a one-person breakfast. The expected COVID precautions are in place, social distancing, and masks, which I appreciate. I will be back to try their sandwiches, and I can't wait!

Yelp
We came here for a casual lunch with my daughter one weekend. I loved the name and had to top up on my bread quotient for the day. The high ceilings and factory feel when you walk in is impressive. We ordered a quiche and my husband got a croissant. My daughter just started eating à baguette of bread. The butter they gave us was so flavorful and the bread was perfectly crunchy and so soft on the inside. I was blown away. The quiche was also amazing light texture with rich flavors. We ordered a second quiche. This place is incredible. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This bakery and cafe started out wonderfully a few years ago but things seem to be on the decline in more recent times. They no longer serve their delicious breakfast options. They no longer serve espresso or espresso based drinks. The lively vibe in the cafe has virutally disappeared. Service has become less engaged. Until very recently however, the baked goods were always wonderful and reliable. But now not so much....The quiches are much smaller than in the past. The butter croissants and the chocolate croissants purchased early the morning recently were clearly a bit stale. So this is no longer a "go-to" place for me, which is quite dissapointing. I wish them well, but they seem to be headed in the wrong direction.

Yelp
I heard great things about this bakery and I just so happened to be in the neighborhood. So I stopped in to try a breakfast sandwich but they don't make those anymore. I tried a croissant which was pretty awesome. Wanted a cappuccino or cortado but turns out they don't have an espresso machine. Drip coffee only! That said, meh! Small place but you can see the bakers hard at work creating tasty treats! Pretty cool. Just get an espresso machine for the love of God! Cheers~

Yelp
Ok I want to update my review because that server was not here today when i came and it was an amazing experience :) I got the broccoli and cheddar quiche and realized i have to ask for it to be warmed up and it was amazing. And black coffee with oat milk - SO good.

Yelp
Phlour was recommended by my nephew and niece who live around the corner. I ordered the croissant with egg, bacon, cheese. This was one delicious breakfast croissant. The croissant was soft and flaky and the fillings were awesome. A perfect amount of all the ingredients. My daughter had the blueberry scone and loved it. Staff was great and at a tentative making sure all was well. The coffee was rich and smooth. My only disappointment was it was closed on Monday for my return visit but everyone needs a day off. The bake goods looked awesome so next time I'm in town , we will try!

Mieneke B.

Yelp
croissants are delicious. service is unfriendly, not helpfull and without patience. shortage of ambiance.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
We went for breakfast and discovered that they don't serve a cooked breakfast anymore. 1 Scone, 1 Croissant and 1 small cup of nasty, over-roasted coffee = $13.56. We most certainly will not return. This used to be a nice place but now it is simply mediocre and run down.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic bread but the sandwiches were an unexpected treat! The turkey with cranberries and brie was superb and the McGreen was great with the pickled onions. We also picked up a croissant which was almost the best one ever... looks like they are about to open a diner a block away so it looks like a big expansion of their wonderful food!

Yelp
I first heard of pHlour Bakery from their booth at the Glenwood Sunday Market. Turns out it's a cozy little bakery and cafe tucked away in Edgewater. The interior is gorgeous, down to the playful wallpaper in the bathroom. Their front windows open onto the sidewalk which allowed a cool breeze to waft in. They also have a cute "Pro-Gluten" neon sign on the wall- this is definitely a place you want to document on social media! My party of two came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and most of the tables were occupied by individuals on laptops. This is great for people looking for a cozy spot to work for a few hours, but having so many people camped out meant that we were stuck at a small table all the way in back near the bathrooms with dim lighting. The McLean sandwich typically comes on toasted bread, and I asked if they would leave it untoasted for me. They told me they'd need to check, since their bread typically comes straight out of the freezer. I thought this was odd considering they are a bakery. While they were able to accommodate my request this day, I didn't think the bread tasted super fresh. Otherwise, the toppings were crisp and flavorful and the sandwich was absolutely massive. We left feeling very satisfied. With some minor tweaks I could see this being my go-to spot for a killer sandwich.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious bakery. Loved their croissants and their croque madamme! You should definitely try them out!
google avatar

Yelp
Phlour is an adorable bakery and cafe in Edgewater. Anywhere that proclaims to be Pro Gluten in a super instagrammable way is alright by me. My friend and I popped in for some coffees and breakfast on a weekend and enjoyed everything we had. My cheddar cheese, egg & bacon sandwich was on a huge croissant and incredibly filling! Actually I couldn't even make my way through the whole thing but it was delicious. I tried my friend's PB&J which came on pHlour loaf and was enjoyable though I much preferred my sandwich. Pro-Tip: They participate in A La Cards' Cheap Deck so you can get $5 off $10! They have some staple items, but also special weekend brunch items. Be sure to check up at the register for a list of all the weekend options like Egg-In-A-Hole, Avocado Toast and Brioche French Toast, nomz! It's definitely a cute place to pop in for some cheap eats.

Yelp
Phlour toughed out covid and has continued to deliver delicious baked goods. The business is family run and it is not unusual to see one of them in the back working or up front behind the counter. Fair warning they do not bake a ton of things every day so if you want something special call ahead or send them an email to order. There have been a few times when I have arrived late in the morning and the pastry selection is kind of limited. I am a little bummed but at the same time I am happy they are selling out. Definitely like their sour dough breads the olive one is my favorite. I will get it cut in store and it last the week for me. They also make pretzels, which I think are more of a seasonal thing they would do around the farmers market. They do try different things like they were making pizza for a while and they have experimented with sandwiches. I do appreciate them trying different things and it is always cool to get to try their creations. On the not so great side I know they have had some issues keeping good help. Nothing bad about the food just the service was a little less than friendly. Last time I was in December the staff got my order and I was on my way no problems. I would still recommend them if you wanted to pop in for a coffee and a cinnamon roll or scone in the morning. They are a welcome business to that area.

Yelp
Phlour proves that Chicago can do baked goods right. Elegant pastries, great atmosphere. A little pricey though. Expect to drop $30 on two coffees and a croissant

Jackie O.

Yelp
As they say in France "not worth the detour". Croissants were bread like. Got better ones at Costcos. The baguette was ordinary. Plus prices of items are not clearly posted. Sour dough bread was expensive and not worth it.
google avatar

Julia X.

Yelp
Love going to the Phlour stall at the Green City Market in Lincoln park. I've tried the shokupan/milk bread ($8), the cheese Danish ($5), the cinnamon roll ($6?) and the ham and cheese quiche ($7). All the pastry is flaky and perfect. The milk bread was really good and considerately pre-sliced into hefty squares. My only complaint is that the cinnamon roll's icing didn't have enough cream cheese and was too thin and sweet for me. Overall, though, everything is really good and I will definitely come again!

Tam P.

Yelp
The sourdough bread at this bakery is simply outstanding and some of the best I've found in Chicago since moving here from San Francisco (which does sourdough extremely well, so my standards were high). The loaf is also large and keeps well even after days. If you're into good bread this is a must-try. I also picked up an almond croissant, but would certainly not recommend it - it was very doughy and flat, with the almond filling tasting too fake for my liking. The other pastries may be good, but I haven't tried and don't think I will. However, I'll always come back for the awesome bread!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here so this is our review Nice place and staff was wonderful. I had the pancakes and have to say they were great, and husband had Arugula Avocado toast that was simply amazinggggg Definitely we will be back
google avatar

Yelp
The good:. Amazing bread. Awesome veggie sandwich. Good coffee. High ceilings. Nice staff. Yummy salad dressing. The not so good: Broken espresso machine (!). Out of croissants at 2pm on a weekend (!). Very bland avocado toast. Overpriced.

Yelp
UPDATE!: I contacted the manager and explained the situation. They were upset by this as well. He explained to me that there was an awful incident with a dog in the bakery previously, and with the false service dog epidemic some of the employees are on edge when it comes to service animals. I informed him of the two laws, state & federal. That his employee broke and he was extremely apologetic and encouraged me to come back in for a better experience! I will be revisiting out of good faith and hopefully an apology from the specific employee! Original post: I would put zero stars if that was an option. I went in excited to get coffee from a local spot instead of Starbucks. With my small service dog in training for epilepsy alert. Whom I was carrying and was behaving perfectly. I was quickly and aggressively asked to leave. When I pointed out he was service in training I was asked for proof (first illegal act) then when my papers from doctors and vets was not sufficient I was not asked but told to leave. Second illegal act. I will be filing a formal complaint against this cafe with the ADA. I have NEVER been denied service because of my service dog in training. Even at 5 star dining establishments, he has been welcome everywhere because that's the LAW! I hope the owners now how their staff is treating customers with disabilities.

Yelp
Ok, it was Pizza day today... 10 out of 10. So good. So much flavor, balanced. Not oily. Not overdone. So. Damn. Good.

Yelp
I stopped in here on Tuesday Oct. 25, 2022 for the first time since the start of the pandemic. It used to be my go to place for a sandwich and coffee while my wife got her hair cut at nearby Salon Echo. This time I was rather curtly told that they don't sell decaf coffee. To me this is the same as saying that senior citizens and others who can't tolerate caffeine are not welcome here, so I won't be back. There's a Starbucks a short walk east. Enough said.

Yelp
We didn't know how to pronounce the name of this bakery but all the pastries and breads we bought taste very good. We especially loved apricot danish.
google avatar

Erika G.

Yelp
FANTASTIC! Happy to report that my new favorite Reuben sandwich is steps from my apt! This sandwich is made panini style, and the proportions of corned beef to kraut to cheese is spot on. It's LARGE, and enough for two to share. Really tasty. I've also had the Croque Madame here, which was also excellent. I like that they have a limited menu. They do a few things and they do them well. Coffee is really good as well.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a coffee and had a great Latte and Chocolate chip scone. The cookies were good too. Will be back to try the pizza.

Camila G.

Yelp
So this place has really rude and terrible management and staff. It's definitely not somewhere I ever want to visit again. I certainly wish it was run by someone else or not in the neighborhood. They have promotional menu's on their counters saying breakfast is running till 3pm then they look at you crazy when u tell them their signs on display say otherwise. I posted a Google review already about how terribly my visit was and the manager was still rude and unapologetic. I posted the photo of that too.. Honestly have maybe only given 2 reviews in my life but this place was rlly terrible. Go to taste of heaven, or first slice for better service and some yummy treats. Honestly starbucks too. Too many rude people in the world for you to be treated like this when u want something sweet in life. I hope you are treated better

Yelp
Phlour is the new occupant of what used to be a Lovely Too bakery cafe--and the new version wins over the old in almost every way. The new owners have updated the inside with glass--floor to ceiling front windows can open up to the outside in the summer, and on the inside, what used to feel claustrophobic and tight is bright and wide open with a glass wall surrounding the baking kitchen. Nicely done. Sandwich menu is better: I keep getting the croque madam because it's SO GOOD. I also still am not positive I'm saying it right. For here coffee mugs include free refills and water is available on the sideboard (this must be improved from earlier reviews...) I've found service to be on-par with nearly with most coffee shops in the city, and the staff are friendly, although things still can be a little slower than you'd want if you're in a hurry (pulled over my car once with flashers to grab a quick coffee... and regreted it). But the vibe here is more laid back and great for lunch and getting some work done, so I'm good with it. Drip coffee today for me wasn't as good as some other days. They serve Metropolis, which is quality, but today it wasn't warm enough and the aromatics weren't too good. Thinking it had just been sitting too long in a pot. Worst part is probably the punny "PH" name (you know, chemistry class + baking). But I'll roll with it.

Yelp
This bakery has been around for awhile.. maybe 5 years and is known for their exceptional sourdough breads. I always see them at the good Farmers Markets & they have a beautiful storefront at 1138 W Bryn Mawr in Historic Edgewater! Aside from sourdough...they also do an olive loaf, roasted garlic loaf, jalapeno asiago romano and other various offerings. They also do great croissants & cookies! The latest thing they are offering is Sicilian Pizza on the weekends... it's the hot new thing with The Pandemic & places are popping up all over Chicagoland!! This version is one of the best I've tried edging out Pizza Friendly & Paulie Gee's?! I tried the "Chicago is a Sausage Town" with double fennel & black pepper sausage, fresh tomato sauce, whole milk mozz & hot peppers. For starters... the crust is phenomenal.. crusty on the bottom & light and buttery interior, they said. The ingredients are very fresh & the sauce is excellent.. best I've had! Now... it's only available on the weekends and you have to preorder via Tock by either 1/4 , 1/2 or full sheets. They have 6 different varieties or you can create your own! Prices are definitely a bit above average at this joint but you get what you pay for.. it's good quality product. Also.. I didn't love the fernet cookie but if you like fernet I would def try a few! Talk later

Yelp
I had a great experience at this bakery. I came here after a failed attempt at baking my own bread. I told Gaby about my baking experience and she gave me some great advice for next time. She told me I could call, reach out on social media, or come in with my bread next time so they can help me figure out where I went wrong. The customer service was spot on. I left with some sour dough bread, Sicilian pizza, and bread starter. P.S One of the baker's came out from the back and personally gave me the bread starter. He gave me some instructions and I could tell he was very proud of the starter. I'm so excited to try it!

Yelp
I have to agree with some of the other patrons here - the staff is rude. I've been in here a few times because I want to support local businesses, however, rude staff just doesn't equal happy customers. I think I'm done giving this place chances due to my last interaction with an employee, a tall man with long hair. He was unnecessarily hostile and coarse.

Yelp
I wish I had never stopped into this cute, little wonderful smelling haven of delicious baked good. I wish I had never known what deliciousness awaits. I wish I had never tried the almond danish or cinnamon roll. But alas, I did all of those things and now I'm hooked. I've wanted to stop in here for a while after seeing Phlour at farmer's markets in the past but the timing was never right, i.e. I was always walking my dog. I was dog free today and decided to indulge. There were two customers ahead of me when I got there and the customer being helped seemed to have a lot of questions that the girl behind the counter answered patiently. Then the girl just in front me was helped and she seemed to be a regular based on the interaction. When it was my term the girl thanked me for my patience. I asked questions about all the different pastries and she explained them all. I asked for her recommendation and she said the almond danish was her favorite and it reminds her of Paris. I've never been to Paris, but this danish was so good. So light and airy and the almond flavor throughout was spectacular. I also got the cinnamon roll because I'm a glutton for frosting. it didn't look that great out of the carton, kind of bready, dense and eh, but omg were the looks deceiving. it was much lighter than it looked and soooo good. i was only going to eat half but i ended up going back for the other half too, in a classic Shauna move. I do not recommend this place if you don't want to gain another 15 Covid pounds this winter but if you want some of the best pastries I've had then I can't think of another place.

Yelp
We stopped in with family and were treated very well, especially our 1 year old. We had a cinammon roll, blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant, and chocolate chip scone. All tasted great! It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I would come back to try the pizza.

Yelp
Eh. I've given this pace many chances since it opened, but I'm over it. Incredibly expensive, often out of bread (what bakery runs out of bread at noon on a Friday?), croissants are greasy, the young French woman is SO LOUD it's not easy to relax in here, they don't have many options for non-coffee drinkers, and they keep more random hours then their signage says. Other neighbors have also run into issues here. Maybe they should stick to wholesale sales to restaurants and close the cafe and individual sales. So many times in here to try to buy bread and they're out of selections. Can get a reliable baguette at Mariano's instead. Shame.

Yelp
Rude staff. Almost every single time the people here are standing around on their phones, unfriendly, or just flat out condescending. Buddy you work at a coffee shop, don't be eliti Second time here. Coffee is good and the pastries... but my god do they love to hire the unfriendliest of people.

Yelp
I ordered from Phlour during the pandemic so was extra excited to see them at the Lincoln Park farmers market. The gal running the stand didn't feel the same about me :D I bought a couple loaves of bread and several pastries, tried to be friendly with her but was met with a scowl / silence and an absurd credit card fee. It's 2021 and we're coming out of a pandemic, no I don't have nasty filthy cash. Duh. No bag for our things, no thanks have a good day. Just shoved aside and dismissed. Three stars because the baked goods are better than average. But better than average product isn't always worth a bummer of a transaction.

Yelp
I didn't even know this place was in my neighborhood until today. I didn't even stop and take a picture of the fig danish or my wife's cheese danish as we ate them far too quickly. They were the perfect balance of chewy and fluffy and sweet but not overly so. We also got half of a sourdough loaf which I have not eaten yet but has just the right amount of squish. FYI they don't have any seating available as of yet and appears to have a limited menu though they do have savory options like ham & cheese croissants. Also FYI no AC from what I could tell.
