Open for breakfast & lunch, this strip-mall spot specializes in Vietnamese noodle soup.
"Pho LA, previously located at the busy Alexandria Plaza at Sixth and Alexandria Streets, was one of the first Koreatown pho restaurants. It was one of the first 24-hour restaurants in K-Town besides Hodori and became popular as a hangover food among the late-night crowd." - Lynn Q. Yu
"Years ago, I worked in Koreatown at a job I hated. So whenever I could escape for lunch, I’d jump in my car and drive to Pho 2000 on Western Ave. I’d get the oxtail pho and spend an hour slurping in silence, scrolling through my phone looking at job postings. Now I just go back for the pho - and the nostalgia." - Jess Basser Sanders, Brant Cox, Kat Hong, Marika Jayne, Brett Keating
"You’re pretty sure you’re coming down with something, you had a terrible day at work, and you need food that will make you feel better. You need Pho 2000′s oxtail pho. This place serves Korean-style pho, and the oxtail one has a great broth, lots of noodles, and lots of meat. The staff will almost certainly not talk to you after you’ve taken your order, but you’re replaying that weird thing you said in a meeting over and over again in your head, so you don’t need to talk to people anyway. Also good to know: they’re open until 2am (and 3am on weekends)." - Jess Basser Sanders, Amy Clark, Brant Cox
