Pho Bac - Review - Mount Baker - Seattle - The Infatuation

"We can’t help but feel nostalgic about this iconic, decades-old spot that features 19 different kinds of excellent phở. Here, you’ll find fragrant northern-style broth filled with extra-tender meat like thinly shaved brisket or massive, prehistoric-looking beef ribs You can get most of these soups over at the newer, snazzier location of Phở Bắc Sup Shop in the CID. But while that outpost has other Vietnamese dishes, the Mt. Baker location sticks to the phở basics—and it works. The simple dining room, with its steamy windows you can spot from the street, the buzzing glow of the purple neon sign, and laid-back charm can only come from a place that’s been around this long and continues to pump out fantastic food. Regulars may notice the restaurant’s recently undergone renovations with a fresh coat of white paint, but the classic brown floor tiles remain like a culinary time capsule. Most importantly, the soup has stayed just as great as ever. photo credit: Nate Watters photo credit: Nate Watters photo credit: Nate Watters Food Rundown Phở Tái / Rare Steak Phở The phở tái is first on the menu and first in our hearts. It’s got a rich broth with paper-thin slices of shaved steak that arrive red, but get pinker by the minute as the hot broth works its magic. Phở Sườn Bò / Beef Rib Phở This iconic bowl of pho is part of what put this place on the map—and honestly, we get it. The massive beef rib sticking out of the soup looks like something Fred Flintstone would gnaw on, and it gives the already tasty broth an extra collagen-y boost. It’s a carnivore’s dream and an arm workout if you decide to lift the whole rib out. Fried Egg Rolls The menu here is almost exclusively pho. But if you flip it over, there’s a tiny section marked “Not Pho.” Enter: crispy, porky egg rolls with a shattering crunch, ideal for a little broth bath." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Great Seattle Restaurants Where You Can Find Parking | Eater Seattle

"Pho Bac Sup Shop shares a Little Saigon parking lot with venerable sibling restaurant Pho Bac — the iconic boat that just reopened recently. Although if spots are taken, South King Street nearby usually has a few no-pay-required spots available. All the better to linger and try not just the wonderful soup noodles, but also bites like prawn ceviche, Viet sliders, and chicken wings with tamarind sauce — along with maybe a cocktail or two at both locations." - Gabe Guarente

Google
One of my favorite places to get pho. They sell Viet coffee from hello em. They also have huge spring rolls here. Very large seating area, and fast service. I highly recommend.

Google
Still the best pho in Seattle; fast and friendly service. As soon as I sat down, the server brought me a one page laminated menu, and two minutes later I got my bowl of piping hot pho. This spot on Rainier got remodeled; the inside is now brighter and that old dreary tree painting on the ceilings gone. You have the options to pay cash or cards (cash being a bit cheaper than cards, whereas last time it was cash only) They no longer served rice or stir fry noodles dishes, only pho now. I wish they would serve bun bo hue here like the one on Jackson also.

Google
The rare beef meat was quite tender. Everything else was quite delicious as well. A solid spot to get pho!

Google
Best pho in Seattle. I think Vietnamese foods are higher than standard in Seattle, WA. Most of Vietnamese foods are very delicious ! Especially Pho Bac is one of the best Pho and Fried egg roll of them. Since they opened 1982, it has been lot of regular clients and recently it has been remodeled so plenty of spaces with clean and huge restrooms. When you hung over you will miss their pho which has lots of meat and proteins ! Thank you for cooking and serving great foods in Seattle

good times

Google
Remodeled new business plan. Can now pay with credit cards, but cost a little extra. Servings are big now, but cost is also up. (I guess that’s everywhere in Seattle seeing as minimum wage went up for everybody.) still good food.

Google
Delicious Pho, the smell tells you everything when your enter the place. Music was a bit loud to my taste. Generous bowl, quickly and kindly served. A must go if you’re around looking for less than 20$ delicious food.

Google
I love the pho; best I've had. Other dishes are great too.

We came on a Saturday for lunch. Pho: we ordered #4 and #13. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. The broth was meh. It didn't have the deep, beefy taste but more mild. Service: There was no one acknowledging us as customers when we walked in so we proceeded to the counter. We waited about 10 minutes after asking a server for a table. They didn't fully clean the table so we had to wipe the table on our own. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, which seemed a bit slow for a pho place. Ambiance: more like cafeteria style. The restaurant is rectangular with a bunch of tables. You ain't coming to eat pho in style so I get it. No need for fancy tables/chairs and decorations. BUT the restaurant was too bare... No, I would not come back. I'm just shocked at how bad the pho was despite the hype.

Yelp
My fav spot to eat pho. I always order the pho dac biet w/ extra noodle, and deep fried egg roll and share with my partner. Broth and noodles are always on point. Tendon, flank steak, eye round, meatball, and tripe are all so good. Deep fried egg rolls come with 2 and they are long, crispy, and stuffed with ground pork, glass noodle, woodear mushroom and served with sweet fish sauce. Super flavorful and addicting!

Yelp
The pho is fantastic, the broth is very specifically my favorite part. I've seen a number reviews comment on the quality of the neighborhood. its disappointing because places like this exist because of the neighborhood, not despite it. Anyway i'm a bit basic and stick to the number 4. But if you want giant bone in ribs they are here :)

Yelp
Here is an update with the remodeled space. It's bright and new inside. It no longer looks like the inside of a terrarium. The pho is still old school and tasty. Plus, it's not cash only now! One of the best broths in town.

Yelp
Pho Bac most definitely satisfied my craving! There's something about cold weather that can make most individuals crave a soul warming soup. Pho Bac was the perfect place for me on this day. This family owned and ran business makes you feel you're in your grandma's kitchen table. When the service is good, they welcome and make you feel at home, the food tastes even better! I highly recommend coming and having a bowl of Pho any time, specially on those cool/cold days.

Yelp
Not the best neighborhood but the food is legit. Service was awesome and pleasant. Ice coffee is pre made and is a bit too sweet (too much condensed milk). Goi cuon was delicious and one of the best I've had. Pho was good but not out of this world. On par with the pho I get in nyc. Beef rib gimmick was flavorful but doesn't add too much to the dish. Overall, not as good as the hype but very solid!

Yelp
Food was served very quickly. The food was delicious that we came back for a second and the next day. Bathrooms were clean. Nice and friendly staff

Yelp
The interior is clean and minimalistic. There's not much sound absorption in the restaurant, so it can be noisy. I like how they bring a container of water to the table, so you can pour and refill your own water. The pho was delicious. The broth was flavorful and meat was fresh and plentiful. The egg rolls were good and crispy but overpriced (2 rolls for $7). 3% credit card fee, cash and debit have no transaction fee. There's parking in their lot.

Yelp
This was the best pho I have ever had. SO flavorful. SO delicious. I ate way too much and I want to eat 100 more bowls. Casual atmosphere that seemed like a little respite from a busy day exploring the city. Would definitely eat here again if given the chance.

Yelp
After visiting the S Jackson location of Pho Bac, we returned again a couple days later for a second helping of the amazing pho. This location wasn't as busy, so we were able to get a table quickly and place our order. We ended up getting the beef rib pho this time which is apparently another specialty dish of the restaurant. The food came out quickly and with massive portions. The pho came with two succulent beef ribs towering over the bowl. It was very thoughtful that a knife and plate was provided with the order, as I wouldn't have known where to even begin eating the ribs. All in all, the flavors of the pho were spot on and coupled with the large serving of beef ribs, I was having the time of my life. Food consistency was the same across the different locations although, we did notice that the hoisin sauce here tasted like the traditional Lee Kum Kee sauce, while the S Jackson location had maybe a house blend of hoisin? In terms of restaurant setting, I'd say this location is more of the no frills layout, focusing on the food, while the S Jackson location might be a little trendier for a date, especially with the attached bar. Pros: Large portions, fast service, reasonable prices. Pho with Beef Ribs is my new favorite dish. Cons: Limited parking space.

Yelp
Hello flavor city! We had been craving pho and are so glad we stopped by Pho Bac! Broth is hella flavorful and portions are large! A regular bowl really fills you up! It comes with all the toppings and add ons as expected. Choose your own spicy adventure with sriracha, sambal or chili oil. Simple and clean layout and friendly and attentive service. Bathrooms are also spotless and for customers only.

Yelp
My friends and I came for Sunday lunch, and they were quite busy. Luckily, we got seated right away and found parking since his place does have a parking lot, which is convenient. Right when you walk in, this place definitely feels like a family restaurant. Everyone is working hard to keep the place going. To start, we ordered the doughnut, which was nice and airy without feeling heavy or too full for our meal. The fries and the sauce were a bit disappointing. However, we all really enjoyed the beef rib pho! They provide a knife to help cut the meat, but it comes off the bone quite well. If you're ever thinking, "I want pho," this will satisfy your craving. When you're done eating, you'll need to go to the front cashier to pay. Ask them for to-go containers if you have leftovers. A great option for a cold, rainy day, which is typical Seattle weather!

Yelp
Beware: 20% for party of 6 or larger for pho and plus 3% for credit card transaction. I don't think so. Seriously! Its bare minimal service. Trying to recoup cost for the remodel? I think 15% for a large party is more reasonable for this simple casual pho establishment. My party got up and left. Plenty of pho places in Seattle to support.

Yelp
At first we thought we came to the wrong place. The restaurant looks shabby and a little scary I would say. However don't let that deter you. It is nice, decent, and spacious inside. The staff are very attentive and very soft spoken, very unusual for most Vietnamese restaurant or at least ones in California. We ordered one beef rib pho, one rare and fatty brisket pho, and a Chinese doughnut. I'm very critical when it came to pho and especially the broth, the heart and soul of this dish. I must give this place a 5 stars as the broth was tasty, rich, and that aromatic. There was no need for hoisin sauce for enhancements. The bowls came steaming hot, which I like. The beef rib was a little dry but the meat fell off the bone. Though it was good but it was not my husband's favorite. I loved mine with rare steak on a side and good amount of brisket, which I had to share since I would not be able to eat all. The Chinese doughnut was warm and crispy as it should. Overall, this place is a must if you are in Seattle. Ambiance: 3.5 Service: 5 Food quality: 5+

Yelp
Our favorite pho place reopened 2 months ago after a major renovation! The food is still great with $15 and $16 bowls of hot and steamy deliciousness (medium at $15 still more than most can finish). The bathrooms are now clean and modernized with new tiles, polished concrete flooring and 3 private key-code secured stalls - 1 women and 2 gender neutral. Shared handwashing area. The dining area is bright and airy with new white walls, ceiling and ventilation and is filled with happy customers. They now take credit + debit cards and cash; no added fee for cash or debit. Lots of toddler and car-seat stools and booster seats were available. The entire premises is very wheelchair accessible. We're so happy to have our favorite pho place reopened!

Yelp
I've had the best pho here but i've also had the worst food poisoning here too. So on average, I rated it a solid "good" which equates to 4/5. The food poisoning was awhile back with the shrimp tumeric noodles and I know for sure it as from here because out of a large group, only those who got this noodle was infected. Brought back memories back to SE Asia when I literally could not leave the bathroom. Regardless, on other occasions when I mustered the courage to try this place again, I was not disappointed (and no stomach issues this time!). The broth was flavorful, meat melted right off the bone, and aromatics were so flavorful I was very happy. Many of my friends do enjoy this place and I can see why. It's frequently busy so I would try to go in during the off hours. Parking got a little hectic in the small lot, but nonetheless it is worth a trip.

Yelp
Food hit the spot, still a staple for 30+ years of consistency. Service was slow with a 90% full dining area. My table was not fully cleaned before I was seated. Location recently reopened after long remodel. Remodel was worth the wait. Clean white open space. Matching furnishings, settings and decor are streamlined. Door entrance moved facing Rainier Avenue (old entry has nice greenery). Lowered counter space where staff takes orders & process pickups and payment. Bathrooms totally upgraded and have keycode entry for each stall- very secure setting. Credit cards accepted with 3% processing fee, no fee if cash/debit card (noted at top of menu). Hours are 8am-9pm. Glad to see you back in the neighborhood PB!

Jennifeer F.

Yelp
This use to be the best pho before the remodel. Now it is the worst pho. Come on pho bac bring back that greesy pho broth this new broth is disgusting!!!!!

Thomas S.

Yelp
Yes, their Pho is very good. You wouldn't know from looking at the restaurant, but their food is great.
google avatar

Alice R.

Yelp
I was not impressed with the service. Had to ask several times for one order they forgot. We also had 5 adults and 2 toddlers and they still charged us for the 20%. Pho was mediocre. Would try to go somewhere else next time.

Minsan ..

Yelp
I ordered the beef dry pho. I was really excited to come here. We were assigned to a table with a spill of siracha on the seat, and the water was contaminated with food? I think? The noodle to meat ratio was lacking as well. For half of the meal I was eating plain noodles and green onion because the meat portion was lacking. My friends had a good time though and I'd give this place a second try. Though, the restaurant is very cute and the menu has a minimalist style which is adorable.

Yelp
A Heartwarming Culinary Experience at Pho Bac From the moment you step into Pho Bac, you're greeted with the kind of warmth that feels like a hug from your favorite grandparent. The food here is nothing short of delicious, with each dish brimming with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Vietnam. The star of the show is undoubtedly the soup. It's a bowl of pure comfort, with a broth that's rich, aromatic, and so amazing it could easily become the subject of your daydreams. The tea and Vietnamese coffee complement the meal perfectly, creamy and packed with a depth of flavor that lingers pleasantly long after the last sip. Peeking into the kitchen, you'll find a scene that's as endearing as it is reassuring - someone's grandma and grandpa, working their culinary magic with the kind of skill and love that's been perfected over generations. It's this personal touch that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The staff at Pho Bac are the cherry on top. Friendly and communicative, they ensure your dining experience is as smooth as the flavors are rich. It's clear they take pride in their work, making every visitor feel like a guest of honor. In a nutshell, Pho Bac is a place where the food is as heartwarming as the atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone looking to savor the true essence of Vietnamese cuisine.

Yelp
Pho is great and everyone should support family run businesses in Seattle before they're all gone! If you're looking for homemade food, look no further. My favorite Pho place "pho 2000" in Boston taught me a lot about pho. I like the rare round eye on the side with onions and I cook it slightly in the soup. Their raw steak would taste of butter. It was the star of the show! Pho 2000's sign is a big neon Cow head and the sourcing of ingredients was definitely a priority. I realized today, after having mid pho (at a place that will not be named) that the good Pho places get more marbled round eye steak. When it doesn't taste like butter, I think its lean round eye. This is my hypothesis. I wonder if anyone has had the same thought? My experience at Pho Bac is that sometimes you get the juicy, buttery round eye.

Yelp
CASH ONLY I stopped by here after work to get my husband some pho since he is feeling under the weather . We heard that this place is the place to go for pho around this area . I ordered a pho Dac biet and chow mien noodles for my kids . Pho: i think it is a little pricey $14 dollars for the amount of pho noodles they give us . The pho today was a little salty . I am known as the person in the family that eats really salty, therefore if I think this pho was too salty for me than it must be really salty for people that do not eat a lot of salt on a regular basis. Chow mien: if you look at the picture ... that is definitely not chow mien. This is literally ramen noodle and therefore I was really disappointed to see that . I felt like I had pho from here before and do not remembered it being this salty so maybe they were having an off day today. However, to claim that you have chow mien noodles but make it with ramen noodle is pretty bleh .

Yelp
Loved coming here for the first time after hearing about it for so long! Tried the Long Rib Soup and it was absolutely delicious. It's their signature item on the menu here and saw most people here ordering it. The vibe here seems pretty quick, almost like a quick place to eat in a way. Pretty simple interior, just straight to the point. Come in, eat quick, fast service and I was out the door pretty quick. The taste was definitely top notch for the soup and meat.

Yelp
PSA: it's CASH ONLY!!! I had one goal during my trip to Seattle, WA: find some worthy pho! I love Eugene but the Asian cuisine is sparse and you could say I've been severely deprived. I am so grateful to have visited Pho Bac -- a family owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant that I can assure you is LEGIT. The menu was extremely simple, as they only offer pho and vermicelli bowl options along with some traditional tea drinks. The ambiance reminded me of a meal for a special occasion at my grandma's house; there were generations of this family contributing to cooking and serving customers. The prices were very reasonable ($14-15 for a medium or large bowl of pho) and the service was very fast. I got the large #4 rare steak and brisket pho. I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the meat, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The mint, lime, jalapeño, and bean sprouts were fresh and the broth was full of flavor. Though Pho Bac is located a bit off the beaten path, I can assure you it is worth a visit if you ever find yourself looking for authentic pho in Seattle. Check out more photos and reviews on my food instagram, @sammychews!

Yelp
One of the best bowls I've had in awhile. I don't normally crave pho in Seattle anymore because most pho taste mediocre but this place changed my mind. It was a really flavorful pho broth that didn't taste generic like many other places. Admittedly, I was really hungry coming here and waiting for pho with a party of 7 took awhile, so it might be just my empty stomach talking. Nonetheless, I look forward to coming back again! Btw, it is cash only!
google avatar

Ryan O.

Yelp
I heard this place was the oldest Pho restaurant in Seattle and was excited to try it out. What a disappointment...one of the worst pho I have ever had - broth was room temperature and yet the noodles were overcooked and mushy. The rare steak would not cook and came out gamy and rubbery. Would not pay $15 for the smallest bowl of Pho I have seen. Please do better if the only thing you have on the menu is Pho. I would hands down vote for Thanh Thao or Wicked Chopstix over Pho Bac.
google avatar

Carol J.

Yelp
Great go-to Vietnamese in my neighborhood. Quick, friendly, fast. They're always busy which means they have excellent food and the price points are great for the budget conscious. Check them out!
google avatar

Uttam M.

Yelp
Used to be so good but ever since the remodel they've changed the menu & recipe to mirror that of the other Pho Bac restaurants and it is nowhere near as good any more. Such a shame - this used to be the best Pho by far in Seattle.
google avatar

Nhan D.

Yelp
* Pho taste like hometown ( I ordered a side of soup fat to make it more flavorful). * Cash only * This place does offer Fried Chinese Donuts to eat with the Pho. *Parking is not too difficult. *Service is fast. * The place is more like dine in and go style. * Would definitely don't forget to bring cash.

Yelp
Pho Bac hands down has the best pho in Seattle. I rarely ever crave pho, but when I do it's definitely gotta be from Pho Bac's. My mom's pho doesn't even exist to me. The restaurant is pretty run down and dirty with the service not being the best, but if you can get past that then you're in for one of the best bowls of pho you'll ever have in your life. The broth is the best. I can't even put into words how tasty it is. Just know that I never have to adjust the soup by adding any hoisin or fish sauce. The amount of protein they give is always more than enough. Getting the dac biet aka the special is definitely a no brainer. Everything here is relatively inexpensive and taxes are already included in the prices. Right off the top of my head- a small bowl of pho is $11 while a large is $12. Please note that this is a CASH ONLY establishment! Highly highly recommend coming here whether you're a tourist or a local. It's simply the best.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't let the appearance of this place fool you, this place has the best pho in Seattle. Better than the other Pho Bac. Hands down. While there is absolutely no decor, and looks a bit dirty (lol.. Asian family style restaurant), it knows how to make a mean bowl of pho. Just check out their clientele, 100% popping with locals. Go check them out!

DJ J.

Yelp
Pho reminds us our home, Washington. This is the by far the best pho in the state in my opinion. Yes, the taste has changed compared to the OG pink boat pho bac but still good. Also this location is better than the international district one in terms of presentation, taste. This place is my institution for pho. Yes service can be bothersome but im okay with $15 pho with this much portion and quality. Welcome back!
google avatar

Aaron L.

Yelp
Service was horrible. Was seated, order taken and then forgotten about for 30 minutes. We watched 3 other tables be seated. We waved down our server who then come by and asked if anyone took our order yet. After we told her that she took our order she asked for it again before going back to the kitchen to finally bring out our food. She blamed the computer for not recording our order even though we saw 3 other tables get their order with no issues. She clearly forgot and didn't want to take responsibility. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
There is a pho bac at home for 5 minutes and 3 minutes by car. I asked their boss and said they are the same owner but the menu is different. Cash only. Although Vietnamese classmates said this is not that tasty and is too sweet, but I thought it was not bad, at least better than the few phos near the campus. The environment is a bit poor. I chose beef bone meal today: super solid beef bone soup, fresh and sweet, the meat can be easily torn off, it has a little fishy smell. I always feel fishy when I eat American meat. This restaurant feels very good. Beef slices, beef louver and beef tendon are also super tender after eating, a little bit dry mouth, but the soup is really too comfortable for me

scott k.

Yelp
REOPEN and even better than before! Why's it better? Interior fully remodeled More seating Clean bathrooms Pho chopsticks! No more single use wood ones Spring rolls and egg rolls Everything is cleaner Same price Same taste - I think they changed the noodles but I liked them just as much, if not more Takes debit and credit card Same sweet owners Thank you for reopening my fav restaurant of all time. Was getting a little worried there

Yelp
Last weekend in Seattle, so decided to go on a food tour on the best local places in Seattle recommended by friends -- and Phó Bác does not disappoint!! From the Bay Area, so I've grown up with a plentiful selection of solid pho, but Pho Bac definitely makes it on my top tier list of best places I've eaten. If you're looking for fine dining, this isn't the spot to go, but if you're craving real, authentic pho for actual affordable prices, come down! Food (5/5): it's so rare to find a pho place that actually cooks the meat perfectly, but Pho Bac has super tender, melt in your mouth worth meat. I usually need to tear it apart with my teeth sometimes or it just feels super dry, but that wasn't the case here! Broth is also super beefy and yummy. Service (5/5): we were seated right away, ordered quickly, and the staff even automatically brought a second bowl for us since we only ordered one to split. Really kind and locally family owned too!

Yelp
We were lucky and got seated immediately in a group of 8. The server was very friendly and joked with us making us feel at home. I ordered the beef bone pho (pho suon bo). The soup was amazing and they even brought a small bowl of fatty gelatinous broth which amped it up a notch. The beef was very tender and came right off the bone absorbing all that delicious broth. This will definitely be a must stop for me for any Seattle trip. The only gripe is that they were cash only.

Yelp
Hands down the best pho ever! The service is fast, parking is available, and cash only.

Aakanksha S.

Yelp
My heart breaks to do this. But we have been regulars (at least once a week) at the rainier pho bac. Used to absolutely love the chicken pho and the spicy stir fried noodles with veggies and chicken. They recently renovated the place and looks like they had a menu change and what feels like a recipe change as well. We went back today to try the food and to my disappointment the old heart warming flavors are no more.. and neither are those delicious noodles :(. This is heartbreaking. I miss the old pho bac on rainier.

Yelp
Food 5 stars. But service and everything else is a 1. It's one of those restaurants where you hate going too but the foods so good you don't give a crap about anything else. Their pho is probably the best in Seattle and they know it and get away with a lot of things. The worst thing about this place and needs to change is cleanliness. Jesus Christ! It's like I have to go thru 10 spoons just to find a clean one to use. It's been like this for YEARS! The tables are never clean either. Employees half ass wipe it down. If you pay attention everyone has to re-wipe there table when they sit down. Even the workers look dirty. Once, the old later that brought my food out had her finger in my soup. Again, just one of those things I and I'm sure many others force themself to look past because of how good the food is. BUT IT SHOULDNT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.. Seems like the youngest daughter now is taking over this place since the brother passed away.. RIP to him, hopefully she can change how dirty there silverware is. I'll record a video or pics of how many spoons I go thru next time. PLEASE!! We just want clean chopsticks, bowls, tables, and ESPECIALLY THE SPOONS. If ownership see this post, walk inside and check out the spoons for customers.

I love the Phõ here. Other places make the phõ broth too sweet. The broth here is more savory and meaty flavor. It is the hole in the wall that makes the best Phõ in Seattle. . It can get pretty busy at lunchtime and on the weekends.

Yelp
for the price and portions, you'll be extremely taken care of. I get the pho Dac Biet which is always good. I tried the passion fruit mule which was surprisingly strong. I always get the fries but usually they're pretty greasy. They're a thicker cut fry. But the lemongrass aioli they serve is perfection. I will say for more recent trips, the beef rib pho has just been ok. The beef is tough off the bone and the meat portions have significantly gone down. Only issue with the restaurant is not enough bathrooms. There's one bathroom for a pretty large place (other bathroom was out of order). Spent 20 min waiting for the bathroom..

Yelp
My partner lives across the street from here so I have frequented this place sooo many times, can't believe I'm just now reviewing it. Honestly, one of the best pho in Seattle! I think my partner goes here once/week lol. The Chinese donuts are fried fresh of course and goes perfect with pho. The broth is PERFECT and the meats are soooo good. One of the few places that sells fatty brisket. CASH ONLY! With no ATM inside. Also they're always out of soda, lol so bring you're own if you desire haha

Yelp
Some of the best pho I've ever had. The broth is amazingly flavorful. Not too salty, but super flavorful. The meat is fresh and delicious. I wish they sold egg rolls or spring rolls, and i wish they took credit card, but the pho on its own earns them 5 stars.

Yelp
Broth was tasteless and I only got 3 slices of meat and 1 meatball sliced into 1/4. Will not patronize again.

Yelp
Cash only! Pho here is great. If you come here, order pho. Do not recommend trying the chow mein - it tastes like top ramen.

Yelp
This place should not be associated with the Pho Bac name or brand. We only came to this location because it was Memorial Day and the other locations were closed. That was the first disappointment because we had such a good experience at the location downtown and their upstairs bar. This one is located in a kind of sketchy neighborhood and looks pretty rundown both inside and outside and parking can be tough. It's also sparsely staffed and when you're finally able to flag someone down, they aren't friendly or welcoming at all. Despite this, they were completely full and we were fortunate that a table only just opened up when we arrived. The table supplies like chopsticks, spoons, and napkins were all empty so we had to ask for some which took a while. The table looked barely cleaned too and I had to dust off food debris from my chair onto the floor where there was already a lot. After finally flagging someone down to order we were surprised with our food. Surprised in that the quality was so poor and honestly a shame to their name. The soup broth was bland and the meat quality was poor. Specifically, the meatballs had a really weird consistency and did not have any bite to them. We know how good it is supposed to be which is why we're being so hard on them. My entire party thought the same and my guest that was trying it for the first time was really let down. It took a while for someone to come by again so I just got up and went to the counter and asked to pay. It's cash only which is another inconvenience. All in all, we'll stick to the downtown location and will try to erase this bad memory.
