Pho Ga Nha - Review - East San Jose - San Jose - The Infatuation

"Pho Ga Nha is a shrine to all things chicken. Though a relative newcomer to San Jose’s Vietnamese restaurant scene, their phở, made with free-range, local chicken in a delicate broth, is already on its way to legendary status. Hainan chicken rice and other dishes based on family recipes, like côm gà rô ti with red rice and egg, duck congee, and filet mignon- and tripe-filled phở tài sàch round out the menu. With nearly every dish costing under $15, Pho Ga Nha is, not surprisingly, always busy. Come in the mid-afternoon or after 8pm for the smallest crowds." - Shoshi Parks

11 Best Bowls of Pho in the South Bay | Eater SF

"Pho Ga Nha sets itself apart from many of the other pho spots in San Jose through its specialization in all things chicken. Over the past six years, the restaurant’s owners have consolidated the menu down to focus mostly on poultry items, while integrating some of their family’s long-standing recipes from Vietnam. The Combination Chicken Pho is made with locally raised, free-range chicken and provides an option for those who may be craving a lighter bowl of pho. Another commonly ordered dish is the com ga roti, or roti chicken, in which chicken is marinated, fried, and slathered in the restaurant’s signature sweet and savory sauce." - Cathy Park

Almost every dish at this restaurant is good. I've tried several items on the menu, and I liked almost all of them. The flavors are solid, and the food is generally satisfying. You should try out their fresh pressed sugarcane juice — it's absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Google
This is probably one of my favorite places to eat lunch since starting working in San Jose. The chicken pho is unmatched everywhere else I've had it. The broth is light and savory, and the chicken is flavorful. If you're a fan of the chicken organs (heart, liver, kidney), you'll enjoy it a lot. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat, though the large is definitely a large meal. (#1 comes large by default!)

Although our receipt shows a party of 8, we are a party of 6, two of which at children and one child did not eat. We have a total of 4 bowls, we are charge a 15% service fee. I told the lady that one child didn’t eat and she told me it doesn’t matter. So does that mean that even if you come in, you still can be charge even though you don’t eat? What bad business practice. Why charge a service fee, it’s not like we have option to go get our own food, when it’s ready. Bad business practice. Just be aware folks, be prepared to pay 15% service fee and the tax is on top of everything including the service fee. The food itself is blah, it ok, not great. We asked for two bowls so we could share which came out dirty and stuck with the food, when I informed the lady, she was not really happy. I think she brought into the kitchen and wiped it off because there was the same stain of food still stuck on the bowl. Ewh… They say that if you want to know the status of cleanliness in a restaurant check their bathroom, well I have to say their bathroom is really dirty and smelly. There is a water puddles in there, a risk for people who is not careful. Underneath where we sat to eat was a bunch of paper that was never picked up. I would say if the food and safety inspector came to inspect this restaurant, they were definitely fail. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here again. Bad service, dirty restaurant and food is just blah.

I visited a couple weeks ago and complimented the cashier of how amazing the Pho was. I ordered the Chicken Pho and my goodness, I haven't had Pho this good since I lived in Washington state 2022. I'm a huge fan of Pho and have tried every Pho restaurant I can get my hands on. This so far has been my favorite, thank you for sharing your love in the broth, I can taste the passion and the hard work making it. The staff were super friendly except the senior busser, which is totally fine I still appreciate all the hard work. I also like the idea of placing paper on the tables to prevent mess. Super clean and worth the wait. A++++++++

Google
Best Pho I have ever had. Simply no other words. I always get the no. 1 and my husband gets the no. 15. Unmatched in taste! We have been here more than 30 times and it always tastes and looks the exact same. And their home made chili sauce is A+++. We have tried so many other Vietnamese places because we love pho but it’s never the same as this place.

Google
This was the second time I've been to this restaurant and it's good, but not for me IMHO. They are a famous chicken restaurant that has been recommended by the SF Chronicle. We ordered the Chicken Pho with all the cuts (Phở Gà Đặc Biệt) and the House Signature Sauce Over ½ Chicken, Mustard Greens, Shiitake Mushrooms With White Rice (Cơm Gà Hấp Cải Bẹ Xanh). The chicken is tender and tastes good, but the flavors are maybe a bit light for my pallet. Portions are huge and this place it'sis always busy. I'd recommend this place if you wanted Pho, but not Beef Pho. They do have Beef Pho here, but I did not try it.

Google
Dropped by over the weekend. Was excited due to some hype for this place . The parking situation was terrible. Crowded and tight parking spots. There were cars circling the lot. When we were seated, the workers were able to accommodate us as the place was packed, and our group was large Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the hype. For my dish, I had the popular one in which was featured in the SF Chronic. The chicken came out dry and tough. Even the sauce didn't help. The chicken had little meat on it. The red rice tasted okay but was a bit hard. The salad was okay, but with raw white onions it made it taste very onion like which overpowered the whole dish. Solid 2 stars for the dish. A total 3 stars overall for the place

Google
A favorite spot of my husband. He really likes food here. I knew about this place but only tried it for the first time. They nailed the Congee with Duck and Ginger Sauce right. Their chicken dishes were also good. The chicken meet was juicy and fresh, true to their advertised “only use free range chicken“. The staff were fast and attentive. They also served the food very fast even when the restaurant was full of customers. The only thing I didn’t like was their seatings. It was quite cramped. Even though I was an Asian, I still found my table was quite cramped.

Yelp
Looking for spots to eat in San Jose before going to a show and a friend recommended this spot. Ordered: no 1 (pho ga dac biet) 4/5: Cuz the soup was delish and the chicken came with giblets. Yum! where can i get giblets?! There wasn't a ton of noodles but there was plenty of chicken and giblets. it was well priced. no 15 (com ga ro to) 5/5: This dish was featured by the SF chronicle and I've never had anything like it. Yummy pieces of chicken lightly fried and tossed in a sweet sauce. For some reason it reminded me of fried squab for the crispiness and sweetness. But it was way better because there was more meat! It's served with an orange colored rice (I dunno why it's orange) that is also sweet. Maybe it's cooked in the sauce the chicken is tossed in? It also comes with a small salad so that you can balance the flavors. Would come back for this! no 33 (basically the beef pho combo) 3/5: This was the most disappointing because it was filet minion and other beef meats but it was overcooked. Really just stick with the chicken here and I'm a huge beef fan! Their service was lacking but I suppose they are popular enough that they don't need to cater to you. When we arrived they kept asking us if we were ready to order when we just sat down! I guess most people are regulars so they know what they want. The restaurant is pretty large but I can imagine it gets busy. There was a sign up sheet outside prolly for evenings and weekends. We popped in at 4:45 pm and there was no problem getting in. This place is so close to my favorite bahn mi sandwich shop that I now can hit two places on one trip!

Yelp
My family's go-to spot for com ga roti and com ga hainan since the quality at Pho Ga An Nam went down. Portions are generous and fair for the price when dined in, a little less so when taken out. It gets busy here, even one hour before closing! RECS: + Com ga roti ($17.50, 5/5 stars) is full of flavor with the sauce drenched over the chicken and red rice. Love the lightly vinegar'd veggies that come with it! + Com ga hainan ($16.25, 4.5/5 stars) has a flavorful rice, poached chicken, nuoc mam gung, and Vietnamese style kimchi. Simple but good! I prefer white meats when I get this

Yelp
Recommended by Vietnamese friend for good chicken or duck salad, since we were in the area decided to give it a try. The parking lot was small and parking spaces narrow. It was after 2 pm but still a line. The turn over was pretty fast so not too long a wait. The service was quick and friendly. The portion HUGE. Since just 2 of us we ordered the chicken noodles and duck salad combo and the dry noodles with fried chicken. The fried chicken was flavorful but the meat was a bit tough. Maybe I am used to the Costco Chicken so this might be free range chicken with leaner meat. The dry noodle was good and love all the leek and celery. The bamboo chicken noodles was tasty. Personally I didn't like the duck as it was a bit too gamey but my husband liked it. The iced cafe with condensed milk was very strong. I had to add more water and wait for the ice to melt and really enjoyed it few hours later. The restaurant was packed and busy and not too noisy as most Asian restaurants, the menu offers were limited but they do specialize in chicken.

Yelp
First time reviewing, but my husband and I have been here a few times. Brought our daughter this time. The half chicken dish with yellow noodle is delicious as well as the half chicken with red rice. We like that the salad has a lot herbs and celery. We tried the chicken pho this time- also delicious. On the weekend- need to go early. Service is very efficient.

Yelp
5.5: #19 Mì Khô Gà Chiên đơn: 1/2 crispy chicken with dry egg noodle (wide or thin). $18. As good as the version at Ph Ha Noi. Also, the Ca phe sua da Vietnamese iced coffee is very good. Parking is OK; not as crowded as across the street, but it is all compact car parking.

Yelp
Had lunch with family since this is one of their favorite spots. Every time we come here, we always order the Com Ga Ro Ti. It's a classic and a must! It's iconic and very delicious. This time we went, we also ordered the Duck Salad with Cabbage, and the Com Ga Hai Nam. Hits: * Com Ga Ro Ti is a definite must. The orange rice paired with the egg and brown sauce go very well together. The meat is well seasoned and not over cooked. It comes with vegetables. It's not bland. * Com Ga Hai Nam is a good simple plain chicken dish. The chicken isn't seasoned as it's just boiled. It's paired with a fish and finger sauce on the side for dipping. I also really enjoyed the kimchi like cabbage given in the dish. It's not too sour and the right amount of spice. * Duck Salad is delicious. I love my vegetables and the cabbage is mixed with a sour vinegar sauce that makes the salad very refreshing. Final Verdict: Solid 5/5. The food is always delicious and well made every time we have came. Since this place is very popular, the wait can get long and extensive so make sure you don't come on an empty stomach or you'll be hangry. The parking lot is decently sized but it's very difficult to find parking so you will have to drive in circles or find a different area to park in.

Yelp
I feel like y'all hate to hate. This place is burning azz FIRE. Prices you can't beat, but beyond that -- oh me oh my. Large portions, never dry chicken (and I mean never), and it warms the soul. My only spot for chicken soup. Anywhere. I swear. Yayuhhhhh.

Yelp
Although the name of this restaurant advertises their pho, they're very well known for their com ga ro ti! This is a great restaurant for any chicken-lover; their menu is vast and specializes in a lot of different Vietnamese chicken dishes. We came in on a Sunday for an early dinner, and the restaurant was already packed! Fortunately, parking wasn't a big issue too! I ordered their com ga ro ti after being enticed by the text mentioning that it was featured on the SF Chronicle next to the menu. It comes with red tomato rice and the chicken itself. The chicken is sooo flavorful and well seasoned here! I loved the savoriness of the dish and how well the side salad + rice complimented it. Portions are HUGE here so keep that in mind if you're coming with other people! Overall, great value for the quality of the dish. I'd highly recommend getting their sugarcane juice too; it's a nice refresher and honestly is better than the other sugarcane spots in Vietnam Town.

Yelp
Got the pho ga and bun mam! It was my first time getting pho ga and I really enjoyed how clean and light the broth was compared to the usual beef pho. The bun mam was incredible tasty as well and did not have too much of a funk to it. However this gets 3 stars because the rest of my family got ga roti dishes which is what theyre known for and was disappointment with their chicken. In the past, it has been flavorful and a nice crisp to the skin, but this time around the skin was soggy and my aunt was unable to finish her chicken. The egg noodle was also very dry and lacking in flavor because there was barely any sauce in it.

Yelp
Chicken pho and chicken wings with sticky rice were phenomenal. Will be back very soon!!

Yelp
Came back for this chicken again, it's just so goood, even tho it's a big plate which I'm not able to really finish, the takeout is always like another meal for me, which makes the value of the meal really good! Love the location of this restaurant too, so many dessert options nearby afterwards. Service was fast and decent, although the mat on the floor is not in really good condition, easy to tripped.

Yelp
I always come to this place when I'm craving for chicken roti. They make the best one in town. My mom loves their #23 noddle soup. Highly recommend to check out the place

Yelp
My first time going there with a friend. Inside is clean, spacious and well lit. Service is super fast & helpful. Foods have a great portion, full of flavors and cook just right. Definitely will go again to try other dishes.

Yelp
We took my parents here for their birthday lunch based on their request. Whenever they go to San Jose, this is their go to spot. Get ready for a wait though, but once you get a chance to try their specialties, you'll get it. Their ginger fish sauce- is magical. If anything, I'd just opt for the rice dishes and salad.

Trung N.

Yelp
Worse takeout experience ever! I called in a simple to-go order at 9:38, and the lady told me it would be ready by 10:05. I arrived at 10:14, paid, and still had to wait until 10:28 for my food. When I went back to check on the order, even the cashier said, "Omg, his order isn't ready yet." Clearly, there's no proper system for managing or prioritizing orders. Honestly, if the food were worth the wait, I wouldn't mind--but let's just say I was picking up for my mom, not myself.

Yelp
Hands down the best pho ga in California. Every time I'm in town this is a must otherwise it's not a good trip. Wish they had one in southern California and Hawaii.

Yelp
This place is such a treat to enjoy a plate of com ga roti and their nuoc mia was surprisingly spectacular! Give me fourteen of them please and thank you. If you're chronically online then you'll understand LOL. Their portions are huge and can easily feed 2, in my case it fed me and myself which made my stomach quite happy. I also loved their side of soup which is well seasoned without making you feel like you need a nap from msg overload. I do wish their red rice had some more flavor, but overall still a great spot for viet food!
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
Really quick service, which is surprising given how hearty and warm the dishes are. Pho Ga Na was featured in the SF Chronicle for its chalk chicken and rice dish, and for good reason. The chicken is crispy, flavorful, and moist. The chicken rice is equally flavorful and absolutely delicious. The crunchy contrast of the fresh veggies with the rice and warm chicken was a great combination. I'd recommend trying all the sauces. My favorite was the ginger (yellow colored in the picture) sauce, with the soy based sauce coming as a close second. The chicken isn't heavily seasoned, so the sauces really add a great different aspect to the flavor. The wait was quite long on a Sunday during lunch, so I'd recommend coming early to put your name down. Service was really friendly. The parking lot was a bit cramped so we ended up parking next door.
google avatar

Amy V.

Yelp
Restaurant is big! Clean bathrooms. We got their orange juice and sugar cane as well. Very fresh juices. We got the Chicken Udon, clear noodles with chicken, a steam chicken plate, chicken salad and the roti plate. They specialize in Chicken here so every dish was subpar. Service was quick and friendly. You do have to pay for containers to take home so keep that in mind! Highly recommend for chicken lovers!

Yelp
MENU AND FOOD: Pho Ga Nha cooks up a selection of noodle soups and rice plates. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service is quick and efficient. Their indoor decor is plain and simple. They have indoor seating only. PARKING: Located in a small plaza, parking can be difficult and parking spots are tight. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We've had their shredded chicken pho with fresh noodles, their famous seasoned half chicken with red rice, sunny side up egg and house salad, and their half crispy chicken with dry egg noodle, greens and a side of soup. Their half chicken with red rice was amazing and delicious as everything paired very well together. Their chicken pho was pretty good too, while their dry egg noodle dish was a bit subpar. We also had their lemonade soda, which came with the entire can of soda water. This is our new favorite place and we'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Delicious!! Omg the chicken was so flavorful and tender. It was a hassle to pick the bones and took a while to eat it because of that but it doesn't stop you from trying to suck all the flavor out and eat the chicken. The rice was also delicious mixed with want to say tomato? It added a unique flavor that complimented the chicken well. I would definitely go back again to get the chicken, but be aware parking is hard to find in the plaza, especially during dinner time.
google avatar

Raymond M.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service. I was greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. Plenty of parking, but can get packed. The chicken was rubbery and cold, the soup was bland and lukewarm, and the kimchi was okay. The overall chicken was tough, and I only enjoyed some of the chicken breast pieces. The bathroom was clean, but not spotless.
google avatar

Diem N.

Yelp
My first time coming here was last Sunday. I went with my family. They are known for their fresh noodles chicken pho. It was roughly around a 45 minute wait. We did have a large party, but it is definitely worth the weight. The staff was accommodating definitely family friendly. I highly suggest you come here support local businesses.
google avatar

Victor L.

Yelp
If you love chicken, you should definetely check out this place. While it may look small, the space is big enough for 2 sections with the kitchen centered in the middle of it all. Spacing for seating is not tight but not spacious either but there's room for everyone. Service is quick and attentative. You don't get a check and you gotta remember the table number you are sitting on and pay up front. I have tried almost every popular dish they have and they are equally delicious and very filling. My go to is the Pho Ga Dac Biet. It has rice noodles and chicken of course but also gizzards, liver and the heart. They give you a lot of meat/organs too! Their dipping sauce is good too and pairs really well with this dish. The other dishes I get and would recommend are: Com Ga Hainan or Hainan Chicken Rice. Flavorful rice with their steamed chicken is just simple but very effective and good. Com Ga Roti or Fried Half Chicken with Red Rice (Tomato Rice) It is similar to the Hainan Chicken Rice, but taken up a notch with it being fried and the rice being tomato flavored. It also comes with a salty/savory soy sauce for the chicken too! Their sugarcane drink / Nuoc Mia is also really good. You can literally see them make it fresh. It pairs well with any of the chicken dishes you order. Do want to note that because it is sharing with other stores around the lot, the parking is absolutely horrendous. Gets even worse when cars are parked crooked and all too. Just be wary when coming here and drive a compact car if possible.
google avatar

Amy V.

Yelp
They were accommodating to our party of 14 early in the morning. Make sure to arrive before 10-11am! By lunch time, it gets fairly busy - there's always a crowd waiting outside. Service was top notch and food was delicious. Their Goi salad was tasty, I loved eating it with the onions. For my main dish, I ordered their award-winning chicken dish and the portion size was huge. I had enough leftovers for the next day!
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
I usually order the #1 combination, and it's always great. It comes in a big bowl so the portion size is pretty good and there's a generous amount of meat. The meat is tender, the giblets have rich flavors, and the broth is flavorful and well-balanced. The ginger and chili sauces go well with the meat. It's a great spot for a bowl of chicken pho and definitely worth visiting.
google avatar

Ginny M.

Yelp
I wasn't feeling well today and came in to order some of my usual go-to comfort foods. Everything tasted just right--simple, fresh, and gentle on the stomach. It really helped me feel better.

Melissa N.

Yelp
Came to this spot a couple times, because of their red rice and chicken dish known as con ga roti. Service has never been bad til today which was super shocking how our server spoke to us. The guy with the mid tat took our order, and I got a chicken pho, my aunt suggested I get steamed bean sprout with my pho and the server immediately says oh it's always steamed bean sprout no need to say it, my aunt then says oh some restaurants don't offer steamed bean sprouts,we then started going back and forth, he then says how he worked here for over a year and it's always steamed bean sprout. Super disappointed with our service, unprofessional -1000 aura points

Yelp
WOW Why didn't I stop by this Restaurant sooner?! I've been passing by this place too many times before and i didn't expect to like it this much! Now I know why there so many people coming here to eat. I came in here, pouring Monday, Veterans Day for lunch and this restaurant started to filled up rather quickly. I am definitely digging their interior decors!! Lovely curtains, pleasant greens, friendly vibes, simple backdrop, nice arrangement, one pretty impressive setup they got going on in here. I am loving their specialty items on their menu!!! Drooling...Everything here looks super Delicious!!!! Duck salad, House Special Rices platters, Crispy Chicken Dry Egg Noodles, Rice Vermicelli Soup with Bamboo Shoot, Bun mam, Hmmm so many options I want to order!!!Our combination Pho was outstanding!!!Flavorful, Plenty of meat and Noodles!!!Huge Bowl!!! My first time eating in a bowl this big!!! Smiling, Stuffed, and Satisfied!!! I am definitely coming back 4 sure!!!!!

Yelp
We went on 9/18/25 thursday around 5 pm, not that busy got seated. Friend recommended me to try the Cơm Gà Rô Ti. The 1/2 chicken skin was nice and crispy, glazed with some sort of sweet sauce. If you take too long to eat the chicken, the sauce will get absorbed by the rice. The chicken was juicy on the outside but once you get to the middle it gets a bit dry but that's ok. You can lather it with the sauce. Also got the thai tea, try to drink it before the ice dilutes the drink. Server was nice. You pay at the counter near the door with your table number, they do not give you a bill at the table. I'd recommend the place.
google avatar

Victoria L.

Yelp
Beware! I accidentally left my sunglasses on the table and called the restaurant and provided date, time and table number. They said they didn't have it.  Very dishonest! The restaurant staffs need to be more honest and return things to their customers! The food is good and I have been dining in this restaurant for years. My point is be careful of leaving things behind or else you will not get it back from this restaurant!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
I thought the food was good, not great compared to some other viet places near by 4.3/5
google avatar

Ana L.

Yelp
Parking lot is busy/small so be prepared to circle around a bit! Came here for the first time with some friends and we were seated right away. We got the com ga roti and it was really flavorful but had to take some time to break apart the chicken. Definitely big portions!
google avatar

Tiana T.

Yelp
This place has the most authentic chicken rice noodle soup in town. The broth is savory, the free-range chicken is cooked just right, and the chicken salad is wonderfully fresh with its signature Vietnamese flavors. Their bún mắm (fermented fish noodle soup) and sticky rice with roasted chicken are also worth a try. Just know that you're coming for the delicious and authentic food, not the service.
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Came by for an early dinner (around 17:00) with my friend since we were walking around viet town. It was pretty empty at the time with plenty of seats. We decided on this place because I was told that it was known their chicken. In addition, I tend to lean toward having chicken or pork when I eat out because I can't really eat beef. We both chose the chicken and rice dish (Com Ga Ro Ti) because it was noted in the menu that it was mentioned in SF chronicle. So, I figured that I can't go wrong with this choice. Well, I guess at the time I didn't think of it as being mentioned in a negative light. But luckly, it turned out to be really good for both the presentation and the taste! The chicken meat is a bit on the lean side so there wasn't too much meat and it was pretty bony. Therefore, it was pretty easy for one person to finish. There is also some sweet sauce added to the chicken and rice. So if you aren't into eating food that is sweet, then maybe this dish isn't for you. However, I didn't mind the sweetness since I do like sweet/savory food. :) To save on some calories, I only ate half the rice. Even though I could have finished it all! If I was in the area, I might try this place again. But I would probably try the chicken pho next to see how that looks.
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
100/10 classic every single time the hardest part about coming here is deciding between getting the ga roti (chicken rice dish) or their chicken pho (my favorite is getting it with the clear noodles! ) both are such classics and so flavourful. there usually is a line especially on the weekends but it goes pretty quickly

Yelp
This is mine and my family's go to restaurant when we're craving com ga or pho ga. They have such generous portions and they make some of the best chicken broth and ginger nuoc mam. My parents ordered the pho ga but I ordered the com ga roti. My chicken was super crispy and flavorful. Really love this spot and I'll definitely continue to go back

Yelp
How I've never been here til recently is really beyond me. Their parking sucks so if you wanna come on a weekend, be prepared to camp or park elsewhere. We came on a Saturday morning and waited about 45 min for a table. Pho ga nha specializes in all things chicken. Their mien ga is really tasty along with their goi ga. Their most popular dish is probably the mi kho ga chien, when you add the sauce on it, chefs kiss! Love pho ga nha.

Yelp
First time here and we came for the chicken. Glad I came because their Pho was great. The broth was clean, see through but tasty. The chicken was soft and juicy especially for a breast. Staff were fast and efficient. Place was spacious. I'd definitely go back for some more Pho. Oh and my coworker got their famous chicken plate and it's a definite must.

Yelp
I was in the area and saw that this place seems to be pretty popular and their chicken rice plate was featured on SF Chronicle so I really wanted to come and try it. I came here before the rush happened around 6:30 or so and got seated pretty fast. Service is extremely fast. They come by check on you immediately and get your orders in and the food comes out really quick too. I tried the chicken rice plate, which is very popular and it did not disappoint. The rice was so delicious. There was a sweet and savory aroma to it. I also tried the shredded chicken for and it was very yummy as well. I love the chicken soup base. It was perfect. I also tried their shrimp roll that was deep-fried and it was crispy juicy and absolutely worth it. I highly recommend getting the chicken rice plate. If you were to come the chicken was juicy and tender and not overdone. The skin was sweet savory and perfectly crisp. The sauce that they use is also absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. Salad was great to balance out all the flavors and the soup was perfect as well. This is the perfect meal for anyone that's looking for a home cooked comfort style. Ambience in the restaurant is very well lit. It's a great place to catch up with friends or eat with family. There's plenty of available parking in the parking lot as well as it's located in a plaza.

Yelp
First impressions often mean a lot, but we were impressed at the speed and vigor that the staff Obsessively and thoroughly cleaned tables between customers. Casual no frills atmosphere with seating split between two dining areas. Order at your table, enjoy your meal at your leisure and pay/tip at the cashier station on your way out. Chicken Pho is a bit of a side offering at most pho joints, but here, Chicken pho is their raison d'être --The reason why Chicken Pho Ga Nha exists! It's their name, after all! Somehow PGN achieves the impossible by cooking up a savory broth that is rich in flavor yet light in body and just perfect with the right level of salt and no detectable MSG. The chicken itself seems to be free range chicken with low fat content. Reasonable portion size. They have rice specials too if you want to try them, but the clear star of the show here is their Chicken Pho IMHO. Oh yes, they have beef pho here too if you must. Despite the fact that Pho Ga Na is likely the most popular business in this mini mall, parking is easy in this mini mall's parking lot. We will definitely be back whenever we are nearby again in the future!

Yelp
We ordered the signature pho ga. Way too SWEET. there seems to be a strange flavor in the broth as well. I cant put my finger on it . I can only say it's not fresh. Other dishes were also all let downs. Wont be returning.

Yelp
I was getting a cold, and this place was just perfect for making me feel better! My husband loved that the name of the store tells you exactly what you're supposed to order. This place seemed legit as soon as we got there, with tons of people waiting outside while the rest of the restaurants in the plaza were pretty empty. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table for 4 on a weekend for lunch, but once you get seated and order, the food is faaaast. The room had a weird smell to it, we debated whether it was a dish or b.o., maybe the latter since our food smelled great.... It's a no nonsense place, so they either didn't understand me or didn't bother with some of my requests. Either way, the chicken pho was spot on, the broth had a wonderful rich flavor without being heavy, the chicken was super tender. Different chicken options ie thigh, wing, shredded, leg, breast etc. We had it shredded which was perfect We also had #15 which they say was featured in the SF Chronicle- half chicken with red rice, sunny side up egg. Chicken had a great flavor to it, though not as tender as the chicken in the pho. Loved the egg on the tomato-paste based red rice.

Yelp
Parking wise: very small stalls. Service: I think I was unlucky that day. Server was annoyed for helping my table (4 ppl). Food: ordered #15 Seasoned half Chicken with red rice, sunny-side egg and house salad. The seasoned chicken was crispy and delicious but there was barely any meat. I think it was the rice and soup that made me full. Probs will get something else next time.
