Noodle soups, banh beo, and diverse Vietnamese dishes

"There’s an extraordinary number of excellent Vietnamese restaurants in Field’s Corner in Dorchester. Everyone has their spot, and ours is Pho Le. They have some incredible soups, and the best is the house special with rare-eye round, well-done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and a super savory bone broth. Add on plates of roasted quail and tapioca dumplings filled with caramelized shrimp, and don’t plan on eating for the rest of the day. Even though it’s always busy, you can usually get a table, and the service is consistently speedy." - tanya edwards, jonathan smith

"For excellent Vietnamese food, Bostonians know to head to Dorchester. For classic pho, made with rice noodles, broth and a protein, stop into Pho Le for their special beef noodle soup with thinly sliced rare eye round, well-done flank, brisket, tendon, and tripe." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

"Pho Le is one of those places where I want to try all the dishes but somehow end up ordering the same things over and over again because they’re that delicious. Especially with the crummy weather lately, I’ve been ordering a lot of chicken or beef pho (pho ga and pho bo vien), along with the crispy shrimp toast and usually a Thai iced tea to round it out. I love how flavorful the pho broth is and that it comes packaged in a separate container (which I’ll often sip right out of) so the noodles don’t get soggy on the way over. —Nathan Tavares" - Nathan Tavares

"At Pho Le I enjoyed the banh beo — a perfect appetizer to share or a meal for one — with a delightful balance of rice cakes, toppings, and fresh green onions; Pho Le's bun dac biet (vermicelli special combination) is served with bun noodles and stands out by coming with crispy spring rolls, grilled shrimp, perfectly grilled pieces of chao tom, and a choice of grilled chicken, beef, or pork; Pho Le currently offers takeout, delivery, and indoor dining." - Karen Wilber
