The 23 Essential Vietnamese Restaurants in Little Saigon, Orange County

"Specializing in wagyu beef pho, Pho Redbo in Garden Grove is known for its 12-hour beef broth. The pho shop captures the Vietnamese flair for luxury with expensive buttery slices of beef carpaccio and starters like fries garnished with truffle oil and sea salt. Thin slices of wagyu beef are torched tableside. The slow-braised wagyu beef stew is another popular dish, but people wait for over an hour just to eat the wagyu beef pho." - Jenn Tanaka

21 Best Vietnamese Restaurants to Try in Orange County’s Little Saigon - Eater LA

"Pho Akaushi’s new sleek, modern digs are a departure from the original location inside the Saigon supermarket. It only takes one look at the extra-fine grease bubbles and a taste of that clean-yet-robust broth to know that Pho Akaushi hasn’t forgotten the attention to detail and labor-intensive hustle that got them here. While pricier than most competitors (owing to the use of the restaurant’s eponymous American wagyu), true fans of beef phở will find the experience more than worth the splurge." - Euno Lee

I want to hear for the second time and it's absolutely an amazing experience. I am so happy that it's Halal. The you is so amazing and it just melts in your mouth. We also ordered for brisket sandwich as well as wagyu fried rice and I really wanted to try the oxtail for because of a heard good things about it but I personally did not like it because of the texture but that's just my own personal advice. Very nice and amazing experience. Can't wait to come back here!!

We came for just quick and small lunch. First we thought it is korean owned vietnamese restaurant as it has korean character on the ftont of the restaurant. Inside is simple. It is considered small vietnamese pho restaurant. Really good place to try different level of pho soup. The soup is served in hot stone bowl and A5 Wagyu. The menu is simple and much choices. The soup was hot all the way to the end and was really good combination with the A5 wagyu. This is the 2nd most expensive pho I ever have. The egg roll is good. Truffle fries is also yummy. Overall we enjoyed the services as the worker were friendly and the food.

Google
Hot diggity dog is this place amazing. The fold and service are great, expect a line up if you are going during traditional hours. 100% worth it though. The pho broth is less herbal comparatively to where I typically go, but adding some lime gives it a chefs kiss. The beef stew is fantastic as well, with large yet succulent and tender pieces of the heavens creation (cow) - carrots to the stew are nice and soft as well, it comes with pho noodles. Highly highly recommend this location. To note, it services halal items as well for those it matters to - interesting and appreciative to see the attempt at inclusion!!

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 4/5 Family friendly: 3/5 Stroller friendly: 3/5 ADA accessible: 3/5 For as many times as I've been here, I'm surprised this is my first review. We came for lunch and had to wait bit for the rest of our party to show up. We have two littles and the staff was kind enough to offer baby bowls of pho. They must've noticed that they were getting restless. A+ for being observant. The food is great as usual, but noticed that there was a bit of a skimp in the beef in the shaken beef plate ($19). The meat was tenderand excellent flavor. We also ordered the Wagyu fried rice ($17), it was good, but my go-to is the shaken beef. We didn't order any Pho this time around, as we finished the leftover baby bowl's of pho but that's amazing as well. I highly recommend Pho Rebo if you're in the area.

Google
Amazing location for food! Plaza has plenty of parking, and interior is very spacious and clean as well. Food came out pretty darn quickly despite 4 bowls of pho, and the broth and meat were perfect. They use wagyu meat, but if don't care for that just know that the meat is tender and melts in your mouth. The noodles are cooked perfectly as well and they serve both the thin noodles most places give and the thicker version as well. My party went in at 3 not knowing they close for lunch break, but the manager was so kind and served us despite the inconvenience. 10/10 would go again!

First time visiting this place. Although much pricier than other spots the flavor of the Pho was devine. My son and I tried the Brisket Pho. The broth was not oily and the meat did not have alot of marbling which I hate. They didnt skimp out on meat and noodles. Which was a plus. The store made chili sauce at the table was a wow factor. Please try it! The ambiance and decor was definitely beautifully. Last but not least. The server Kenny provided top notch service. He was attentive, pleasant and tried his best to teach us how to use the chop sticks.

Google
Best Pho I've ever had in my life. Wish I could say the same for the service, but we'll get into that. Great Portions and beautiful quality of meat they throw in the Pho. Upon walking in, our waiter does not seem excited to serve a big table, can't blame him, but that's part of the trade, its graduation season, and its a Friday night. It's bound to happen so there's nothing else you can do but embrace it, but instead, He was eager to show how hesitant and exhausted he was of working here with the constant demeaning tone of shouting "WHAT?" "HUH?" and annoyance whenever one of us would need a refill. Order-taking with him was a highlight of the night, a highlight in customer service training. The ambiance, typical pho restaurant, random pictures, sticky wooden tables, and ZERO A/C nor AIR FLOW! If you want to be here in the summer, wear something LIGHT because I thought I was back home in Asia with the humidity and sweating while eating inside the building. The food itself, no complaints, best pho I've had. Being from the Bay Area, you come across so many different places that serve up Pho in so many different ways, North, South, and other cultural fusions. This was the best tasting one I've had where not only did the bone broth promised, the meat quality was far beyond my expectations! This place almost checked all the boxes for me, I really wanted to love it all around, but the owners need to do a double-take on who is on their first line of interactions with the customers, coming from someone who's worked in customer service myself, dealing with customers isn't the easiest, but that doesn't mean you should rain on their parade. I'd love to try this again, preferably online and delivered with minimal interaction with their questionable waiters.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ RedBow Vietnamese Restaurant - An Outstanding Culinary Experience A Hidden Gem in Garden Grove, California I'm absolutely stunned that I hadn't discovered RedBow sooner! This Vietnamese restaurant in Garden Grove is truly exceptional in every way. From the moment you step inside, you can tell this isn't your average pho restaurant. Incredible Food That Leaves an Impression The appetizers alone are worth the visit. I tried their beef appetizer and was blown away - the meat was exceptionally tender and literally melted in my mouth. The flavor profile was unlike anything I've experienced before at other Vietnamese restaurants. Their signature pho dishes are on another level entirely. The broth is rich and flavorful, clearly simmered to perfection, and the ingredients are clearly of the highest quality. Every bite was memorable. Elegant Atmosphere The interior ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual dining and upscale experience. The restaurant has a high-end feel without being pretentious. It's clear that every detail of the dining experience has been carefully considered. Thoughtful Menu Design I particularly appreciated how well-designed their menu is - clear, concise, not overwhelming or confusing like many restaurants. It made the ordering process enjoyable rather than stressful. Exceptional Service The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring guests have an outstanding experience. Their recommendations were spot-on and they timed each course perfectly. RedBow has completely redefined my expectations for Vietnamese cuisine. It stands head and shoulders above every other pho restaurant I've tried in Southern California. If you're looking for an authentic, elevated Vietnamese dining experience, RedBow in Garden Grove is absolutely worth a visit. This place deserves all the acclaim it can get!

Yelp
One of the best Pho spots in ORANGE COUNTY!! Trust I've been to plenty of restaurants in my time but none like this with amazing staff that delivers top notch service! The main reason I come here is that clear broth that you can tell is made with lots of love and dedication! You can't go wrong with their premium choices of meats.. NEXT TIME you're feeling the urge to eat pho remember to try this spot out ! Secret that shouldn't be kept a secret!

Bella G.

Yelp
I had an amazing time here and they have great pho! Their customer service is also very nice and helpful.

Yelp
The food came fast we only waited 10-ish minutes! Brisket tasted amazing, the broth was hot but very delicious. the waiters were all so friendly and would come by asking if I wanted a refill on my water or if i was finding everything okay. They also had pretty calming music playing in the background. It wasn't too loud or quiet.

Yelp
My bf and I picked this spot on a last minute decision since the spot we go to was closed. We were not disappointed! This is definitely our new favorite spot. It's located in a hidden plaza with plenty of parking. They have a lot of options of pho meat and even offer A5 wagyu. Tons of drink options as well. I went with their well-done brisket pho. Probably the best broth I've tasted at a restaurant. The broth flavor was so rich! Also tasted clean and not oily like other places. The meat was soft and tender. I got the big noodles and it was chewy and soft. Tried their lychee tea which was so flavorful! The service was exceptional! All the servers were attentive and gave us detail on their menu items. They checked up on us several times. We'll definitely be coming back to try the other items on their menu!

Yelp
The pho and bo kho (beef stew) here are very good and solid, but doesn't stand out any more than some of the top pho places in the area. The wagyu offerings here are definitely unique, but I didn't try the Japanese A5 wagyu, just the regular "wagyu" that comes with the combo. The meat is tender, but overall, I don't think it added much more to the dish. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. The service was friendly, but they got a bit busy and required us to try to wave them down many times throughout our lunch. They did recognize that they were slow and comped the fries, which is appreciated. Overall, good pho, would come again, but not particularly out of my way for, as there are many great pho places in the area.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for pho! That being said... I often order the wagyu fried rice. It's incredible. The Wagyu melts in your mouth and the flavor with the rice is perfect. I usually get a spoonful of the rice with a piece of wagyu and dunk it in the broth for the perfect bite. Service can be slow since they're usually busy but the food is worth it. Interior is basic and functional. Patio is nice.

Yelp
Get thin noodles over the thick noodles! SLIDERS TOO! My friend and fiancée both loved their pho bowls but would opt for the thin noodles next time! They thought the thick noodles would be more chewy but it was just out of place. I personally had the thin noodles and loved it as usual! The combo is great for first timers so you can try all the meats. The sliders were also delicious but unfortunately didn't get a pic. But trust, great appetizer--comes with three sliders! SERVICE: I thought the service was great. We had a reservation so getting seated was easy. And the waiter kept checking on us and refilled our waters often! AMBIANCE: it's pretty chill! Great place for families, friends, dates. Highly recommend the chill atmosphere PARKING: was pretty easy on a Sunday at 1pm! Overall: would come back! Great broth and meat!

Yelp
I first heard about this place when I tried it in Cerritos. It's in a little strip mall. Parking isn't too bad. I got the pho combo which was $17 for a regular size. It had rare steak, rib cubes, and meatball. All wagyu! Minus the meatball. Omg the rib cubes were so amazing. It melts in your mouth. The broth as well is on point. I didn't need any extra seasoning on it at all. They also do ask you whether you want the thin noodles or thick. We got the thick. They have a little Patio area which I think next time we'll eat there! The atmosphere is very chill and the customer service is amazing. They kept refilling our water without us asking. Hehe

Yelp
Not that worth it. Came here to try their Wagyu Pho and honestly it was ok. We ordered the Pho Combo. The pho broth was standard but could've had more flavor. The wagyu meat was soft and tender but there was really nothing special about it. We also ordered the Pho with Meatball but it had even less flavor than the Pho Combo. The Wagyu Beef Stew had great flavor but the consistency was not it. The stew was super slimy and thick which wasn't really pleasant to eat. Maybe they put too much tapioca starch in it? If they made their stew a little more soup-like it would've been perfect. Overall, the food here is mid and not really worth it since each dish costs about $20. If you want pho, you're better off going to PhoHolic which is only a minute drive away.

Yelp
Lots of parking. Modern decor. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Food came out fresh, hot, and fast. I highly recommend the extra A5 side if you're getting a bowl of pho. The combo pho was delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the pho at all. The broth was perfect, I didn't even have to add any extra seasoning except pepper to make it spicy if you'd like. This was my first time here and won't be my last.
google avatar

Yelp
I was drawn here by the wagyu component to their pho. However, I had the pho combo and I thought the pho broth was a bit bland and was nothing memorable. The sliced rare steak in this was top-tier and carried this pho with its perfect tenderness and helped raise the score/rating of this pho. Basically, the meat toppings in their pho were really good but I'm not sure the wagyu did anything to elevate this pho broth. The beef stew had excellent flavor but the consistency of this stew was too saucy which made the noodles sort of slimy, and I personally prefer a more soup-based Vietnamese beef stew.

Yelp
Pho Redbo is located in Westminster and they specialize in Pho featuring Wagyu beef from American, Japanese, and Australian cattle. The prized Wagyu beef is known for its fattiness and richness, but it also has a very high cost. I've been here a few times, and it was, at one point, my go-to spot. I still think that Pho Redbo has good pho; however, I personally sense less of the distinctive Wagyu footprint. I miss the days that they offered spring onions and wagyu tallow on the side. The large-size pho bowls cost $23. The pricing is reflective of the Wagyu. They are, indeed, large and filled to the brim with steaming soup and tons of noods. Unfortunately, though I had plenty of rice noodles, I didn't feel that I had a lot of meat. If you want more beef in your bowl, then consider ordering extra for a $9 supplemental cost. Another thing for me is this: In a mom-and-pop pho spot, a combo ("Pho Dac Biet") bowl will have all sorts of varied textures from tripe and tendon and meatball and brisket, which I enjoy; however, Redbo's "combo" bowl features primarily cubed rib meat, brisket, and meatball. (Note: Redbo has pho that simmers for over 12 hours, which yields a flavorful broth. They write that "Our broth is simmered until the meat is off the bone. Thats the reason we dont offer any tendon.") Nevertheless - If you like the textures of tripe and beef tendon, then you may prefer other places; however, if you prefer your pho with rib meat and brisket, then this might be more for you. The menu also features sliders, egg rolls, and fries as appetizers. As it has increased in popularity over the years, I feel that the menu has had more Vietnamese fusion leanings. Regardless, I think that Redbo is good; however, it's just not what I'm presently looking for.

Yelp
FOOD 5/5 ***** Being from the Bay Area, I've had a great share of pho, I expected a hype but mediocre food. However, Pho Redbo serves the best pho I've ever had in Orange County; best pho I've ever had in my life! The portions are generous, great mixture of meat and the quality of meat is incredible, and lastly, the soup is tasty and flavorful. SERVICE 2/5 ** The service is very slow; honestly, staff is mismanagement. We were a party of two, from getting seated, to be served water and get your order taken. From the moment we sat down, we watched as the server would serve only 2-3 tables and walk back and forth. We had to constantly to look for a server for a menu, for water, for someone to take our order. We had to wait 20 minutes before a server came to take our order. The staff here is nice but they are young; they serve a few tables constantly, ignores the rest of the tables. I thought it was a one off bad experience with service but we actually went here twice for the amazing food but I cannot say the same for service. AMBIENCE 3/5 *** Typical pho joint -- tables seated closely to one another, wooden chop sticks, small plate of bean sprouts and basil leaves. There is also very limited outdoor seating. CLEANLINESS 4/5 **** Servers do clear and clean the tables. I've seen the server clear the plates, and glasses of water, spray and wipe down the tables. PARKING 5/5 ***** Pho Redbo is located inside a plaza with huge parking lot. Never had any issues with parking. OVERALL 4/5 **** Food is incredible; best pho in Orange County. Despite the slow service, the food here will sell itself. I would love to see training and improvement on service. Very slow service and mismanagement staff; but I would highly recommend the food!

Yelp
The place had super quick service and the workers were so polite! the pho was so flavorful and the noodles were thick and soft, the place was very spacious and comfortable, everything was affordable and great

Yelp
This is such a solid pho spot! Very casual joint. I came late in the evening and they were able to seat me with no wait. My waitress was very attentive, she was really cool and laid back. The broth is beautiful. It's clear that they spend a lot of time on the broth. The steak was great in the soup. Perfectly cooked. The egg rolls are fantastic! Great crunch and flavor. You can easily come with family and friends. This is a really solid restaurant!

Yelp
Service was really good considering how packed it was on a Sunday night. They had a main dining area and some extra tables on the side. Tables, chairs and utensils were clean. I ordered the pho combo with thin rice noodles. The broth had good flavor, but I was really thirsty after. Veggies were clean and fresh, but my noodles were overcooked which threw off my whole experience. I had high expectations due to their high ratings and my overall experience was just okay. It may have just been an off day and I'm willing to come back to try again in the future.
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
The pho here has a slightly more Americanized taste, in my opinion. We ordered the combo, and while the meat was tender, the broth lacked a bit of depth and flavor for me. Unfortunately, they were out of oxtail, so we didn't get to try that. One thing I really appreciated was their kid-friendly touch--children under 5 get a free pho bowl with noodles and soup, which is such a thoughtful gesture. Service was great overall, friendly and attentive!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Came in on a saturday morning with no wait. Tried the Pho combo ($19) the broth was really favorful and all the protein was very tender and high quality! The service was great, consistently refilling waters. I would definitely come back for the quality experience and food.

Yelp
If you're looking for a top-tier pho experience, look no further! From the moment we sat at the bar near the register, we were welcomed with warm and attentive service--plus a front-row seat to the kitchen action, where everything ran like a well-oiled machine. We started with the **egg rolls**, and wow--so crunchy, perfectly golden, and paired with a fish sauce that was absolutely spot-on. For our main dishes, we had the **rare steak pho**, which was incredibly clean and flavorful without being greasy, and the **combo pho**, which my partner thoroughly enjoyed. Every spoonful was comforting and delicious. We also ordered a side of their **bread roll**, which arrived warm, crisp, and impossibly light. They were so good that I can't wait to come back and try their **banh mi**--I know that bread will make it next-level! From the food to the seamless dinner service, everything was impressive. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu! Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you're looking for some high quality pho this is the spot to go. They have such a deep flavor with their broth and the meat literally melts. They also have a pho sandwich that was surprisingly good. It comes with a bowl of pho on the side to dip your sandwich in and tastes amazing. Definitely come check this place out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen and her dear friend met here to have an amazing lunch. The wagyu beef bowl was full of flavor and the meet was tender, juicy and delicious. The steak pho was also on our menu and loved the light and delicate broth. The staff were friendly and fast! A menu that is simple because they take care to make the menu items great. Healthy and happy. The end.

Yelp
First meal outing with our baby! We weren't planning to eat out with the little one just yet, but we were nearby and hungry--so we made a spontaneous stop. The service was phenomenal. Our server checked in on us multiple times and kept our waters filled without even needing to ask. My husband got the large Pho Combo, and I went with the regular Pho Rare Steak (Halal). All the meat is wagyu beef, and it definitely showed--my rare steak was incredibly tender and full of flavor. Portions were generous for both the regular and large sizes. It is on the pricier side for pho--mine was $19--but the quality of the meat makes it worth it. The restaurant has a clean, modern vibe, which added to the experience. We also tried the Peach tea and Thai tea. Both came in bottles, with a glass of ice on the side so we could enjoy them chilled. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely come back!

Yelp
I was excited to try this place and I'm glad I did. I don't live in the area so it felt kind of randomly placed among industrial spots so my guess is it gets pretty crowded with a lunch crowd for workers... Anyway, we came on our way back from Something and stopped in and we're seated pretty quickly. The servers were friendly, but not really engaged so it was just kind of like what do you want? Here's your food But you definitely don't go here for the service. I'm guessing. The food on the other hand was really good and tasty and the portions were good... I saw a few people order a plate that had a flaming sizzle plate involved and next time I think I'll try that But for now this is a place. I would try again if I'm in the area. Oh yeah, we did get the truffle fries and they were definitely really good and crispy although I wish they had a little more flavor on them.

Yelp
Stopped in for Father's Day. But ourselves on the wait list ahead of time, and didnt have to what to be seated at all. We walked in, they gave us water and our menús and gave us time to decide on our meals. The first thing my father and i order was some green tea, and it was super smooth. Im notbnormally a green tea person, but it was very melllow. We got two rare Meat Pho w/small noodles (they have thicker noodles as well), the wagyu fried rice (surprisingly delightful), the shaken beef (my mom really enjoyed it), and two orders of egg rolls (which were all a hit)! The pho, i felt could've been more flavorful. I felt like they needed to have the broth soak in all the flavors a bit longer, but ultimately, I almost ate my whole bowl! They move fast there. We did have to wait a little longer for our phos, that we thought they may have forgotten about us, but they came out steaming hot, so all is forgivemellow. All in all, it looks like the can handle an intimate date night to a huge party. I'd just say give them advance notice. Place is pretty spacious with a modern design. Also, parking is free in the lot. If you like wagyu and pho, this might have to be your go-to spot!

Yelp
This place lowkey slaps. Pulled up here expecting good food but got hit with solid flavor and fast service. Broth was super clean, not too oily or salty, just really well-balanced. Noodles were cooked right--not mushy--and the meat was fire. Inside is chill, nothing fancy, but it's clean and they don't make you wait long. Kinda perfect for when you're craving pho but don't wanna deal with a packed or overly hyped spot. Their Thai tea was so hype too! Would def come back when I need to warm my soul a little. Just sad it's a pretty lengthy drive :(

Yelp
Overall great experience, the soldiers were surprisingly amazing. Service was on point and the wagyu pho was excellent. Now people, be advised that you are paying $49 for the meat. You can get delicious pho without paying the hefty price but overall was delicious.

Yelp
Got a recommendation about this place from my coworker and decided to go a try. It's super delicious. They serve high quality meat and it's halal. I tried their pho combo and shaken beef with rice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and the dining area is spacious. They also have outside dining area. So if you're in the area, this place is worth to try!!

Yelp
Great place with solid , authentic pho! Service was great and fast, and the restaurant is very clean and nice. The truffle fries had a nice crisp and skinny fries are my fav. The Phở broth was rich and flavorful and approved by my Vietnamese parents! Overall very solid and I would return in the future and recommend to Phở lovers!

Yelp
It's our second time here and so glad my husband drove towards this restaurant when I mentioned "pho" on our way back from the bookstore. He read me better than I did. I love a restaurant with limited items on the menu - this almost always guarantee that you will love anything and everything you order on the menu. However, if it is your first time, you must try the Pho Combo. You will not regret! But, bear in mind, you will need to come nice and hungry as the Regular is super filling. I cannot even imagine the Large, lol. The Pho Combo comes with a generous amount of thinly sliced rare steak, tender rib cubes, well-done brisket (also thinly sliced), and meatballs. All meats are wagyu except for the meatballs. You also have a choice between thin or thicker noodle. And a bowl of pho is not complete without a side of herbs and condiment: bean sprouts, Thai basil, culantro (ngo gai, in Vietnamese, is a thorny coriander leaf), jalapeno slices, and lemon wedges. Also on the table are jars of hoisin sauce, red chili sauce, and a chili oil. Served piping hot, with a nice clear flavorful broth of just the right amount of secret herbs like, cardamom, anise star, coriander, etc etc... I think I will need to try the Beef Stew next time, it looks amazing! service with baguette. Service was friendly and polite. The wait was not long to be seated. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating, in case you brought your furry friend. Don't wait too long and try this place out!

Yelp
This is one of the cleanest pho places I've ever been to, and I was really impressed by their attention to hygiene. They sanitize their bowls by placing them on a range with boiling water before serving, which is something I've never seen before and really appreciated. The quality of the food was excellent, and I noticed that all the staff were wearing gloves while preparing and serving food. The pho itself was incredible, aromatic, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The restaurant was quite busy, which is a great sign, but if you're planning to visit, I'd highly recommend booking through Yelp ahead of time to avoid waiting outside. The employees were super friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience even better. From cleanliness to service to food quality, everything was top-notch. I'd rate this place a 10/10 without hesitation!

Yelp
I could literally swim in a vat of this absolutely delicious broth forever... it's that good. I came here on a weekend night and the place was packed (note there is also another location less than 10 minutes away so make sure you get on the right Yelp waiting list and also that your car GPS takes you to the right place...) but I was able to get seated at their small bar inside. The menu has a lot of options but I went for the small combo with the flat noodles and wow wow wow, everything was absolutely made to perfection and I licked the bowl completely clean. If this place was any closer I'd be here multiple times a week! I paired my pho with a bottle of their passion fruit tea which was a little sweet but went nicely with the flavorful pho. Located in a strip mall, parking is plentiful in the lot outside!

Yelp
It's been a rough month and my gratitude goes to this establishment. My son's favorite is pho and anytime we Togo, we will get it here. It's the freshest and best ingredients I can taste. They are some of the friendliest staff I have met. Highly recommend stopping by their pho shop. Thank you

Yelp
The restaurant was small, but very clean and had a really good vibe. The staff were very friendly and very professional. It was worth the trip to Garden Grove. Very simple menu with great portions and a good price. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I used to operate with the impression that the interior decor of a Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant is indirectly proportional to the quality of the food. I had some of the best pho inside some of the worst looking restaurants, but I now realize I don't have to pick one over the other. It's possible to have an upscale dining experience with good service while enjoying one of the best pho I've ever had. The generous slices of wagyu steak tasted amazing, with the perfect blend of fatty tissue with tender lean meat. From the first bite to the last, each one was tantalizing. The broth was rich without being salty, and even the chili sauce on the table was potent and fragrant. We all ordered the regular size bowl, which was plenty even for my teenage son. Parking was easy even on a weekend, since most of the other businesses in the shopping center were closed. I highly recommend getting on the waiting list, as it was fully packed when we arrived early Sunday.

Yelp
A friend wanted to try this place and it wasn't until afterward that I realized why Pho Redbo is so popular. Pho Redbo (established in 2021) is one of the few (if not the only one) Halal-certified pho restaurants in Garden Grove. They feature premium beef options including American, Australian, or A5 Wagyu beef as well as a bone broth simmered for over 12 hours. As of January 2025, Redbo has two locations with its flagship in Garden Grove and another in Westminster. [Parking]: Easy and free private plaza parking lot. [Waitlist & service]: Pho Redbo uses the Yelp waitlist system. Our party arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant opened at 5:30 PM on a Saturday and was seated immediately when the doors opened. For parties of six or more (including adults and kids), gratuity is automatically included at 20%. [Menu]: The pho combo is essentially a sampler of their various cuts of meat including thinly sliced rare steak, tender rib cubes, well-done brisket, and meatballs. Customers can choose between thin or thick noodles and the menu also clearly labels each halal dish. In addition, kids aged 5 and under receive a free baby bowl of pho for dine-in orders. *** Crispy Egg Rolls (Chicken eggrolls with lettuce & dipping sauce - 4 rolls for $7): A solid 4-star dish. The egg rolls had great crispy shells with piping-hot & flavorful fillings. Pho Combo (thinly sliced rare steak, tender rib cubes, well-done brisket, & meatballs - everything is Wagyu except for meatballs; thick noodle; regular for $19): The sliced steak and rib cubes had an amazing buttery texture while the meatballs also tasted great. The thick noodles had a soft texture and the 12-hour bone broth certainly lived up to expectations with its rich and flavorful profile. *** While the prices are higher than average pho prices, the restaurant one of those places where you get what you pay for. A 5-star worthy pho.

Yelp
For $25 bowl of pho of rare sliced steak and brisket, I expect for it to knock my socks off... and oh boy... did it under deliver and what a disappointment... I wonder how such a place can justify to charge $25 for a bowl of ordinary pho with ordinary meat, ordinary broth, and ordinary noodles... Definitely a one-and-done

Yelp
I heard so much about the flaming wagyu beef carpaccio but they are located so far from HB, almost 40 minutes w heavy traffic. I decided to go there right after we got off the cruise, 16 days of eating bland food got to me. We were lucky we got seated right away, I read many folks complaining there was a very long wait. We ordered egg rolls, beef carpaccio and a large bowl of pho. We waited so long maybe 25 minutes, my husband was bent out of shape, we almost left. Finally the egg rolls came, it was made w Chinese wrap not the VN rice paper so they were not as good. Again more wait before the flaming beef came, it was so so heavenly good, I'd rate this 6 stars, unfortunately the Pho broth was very thin, even bland so what happened to all the Ooh Aah I read about, it was oily which I accepted as it meant there were real bones not out of the can. This restaurant had a huge sign, halal cuisine and on yelp too so the resto was full of halal folks! It was weird, I thought I was in Beirut bc the noise was unbearable, do people have to talk that loud, then to make matters worse we sat next to a young mother w 4 SCREAMING KIDS, I could understand the baby could whine and scream, my next table guest asked the mom to see the kids face, they all looked beautiful, the mother included but why did they scream, my husband almost lost it as when our kids were young if they started to yell, we just took the food home not wanting to disturb the entire room. We had to get up early 6am and got thrown out of the ship, we were so tired and unable to enjoy the food, later a bunch of very tall almost 7ft tall halal people came and boy did they talk loud, we could not stand it my head was aching so we took the Pho home. We left and a manager stood at the door asking us if everything was OK, I said the broth was good but too thin, he felt bad and said we should have complained, he would make it right, well I did and got another small bowl of extra broth so it was better but the fact it needed more fish sauce, etc.. I asked where he came from as he reminded me of my favorite samurai Hiroyuki Sanata, the best actor Japanese warrior ever, all of a sudden I meet a lot of Japanese lately. He gave out good vibes and I appreciate the customer service, I would definitely come back, the food and ambiance made this 3.5 stars but I upped it to 4 stars thanks to his good customer service. Conclusion, if you do not mind to have your eardrums blown off this place is good, it's definitely 5 stars for the halal folks as they were so thrilled the noise rose in crescendo till it became crazy, I thought I was in a war zone? I'll give it another try if it will be noisy again and if I was the only people looking so different, I might give up, that is really too bad as I'm addicted to the flaming beef and the PhoRedbo in WTM has grass fed beef, it's tough beef and I'm not crazy about grass fed, I prefer the tender wagyu beef. The best Pho is perfume river in Asian garden mall unfortunately they got entangled w the embezzlement of Covid fund, I hope they won't get into trouble but they are now out of business.

Yelp
Great food at great prices. The wagyu pho is really good and we love the fried rice. We always get both when we go there without fail. The ingredients are fresh and the portions are good. Service is pretty good too and the ambience is fine. I love how they pack everything well when it's a takeaway so that nothing spills. We've been here tons of times and never been disappointed.

Yelp
Tried this spot for an anniversary dinner, and I have to say this definitely set the tone for the upcoming year on a beautiful note. This place is awesome! 2 of us shared the wagyu fried rice and the wagyu pho. The wagyu for both was so soft and delectable, couldn't stop eating until our bodies made us! The Wagyu fried rice was a perfect balance of meat, spices, and rice! The Wagyu pho came with the meat on the side and a rich broth in a heated stone bowl. I always worry about pho broth becoming cold before all the meat is able to cook, but you don't need to worry about that with this bowl! By the time we weren't able to eat any more, the broth was still as hot as when we received it. All that to say, take your time with eating and savor each bite! Service was super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Spacious restaurant with contemporary decor. There's a small bar by the entrance as you walk in and the kitchen is semi-open so that you can easily see what's going on in there. On a whim, I stopped in for a bowl of their pho. Although it wasn't on the menu, my server let me know I could customize my order and get both brisket and rare steak. I ordered the large bowl which sent me home with leftovers. They let you choose between thin and thick rice noodles, and I went with the thick ones. The broth was absolutely delicious - rich, deep, and full of umami. Definitely sip it before you start throwing in sauces and condiments. Next time, I'll try asking for blanched bean sprouts instead of fresh ones as they tend to add water to the broth, diluting the flavor.

Yelp
I went here recently with a few of my friends and it was our first time visiting! We were seated not too long after putting our names down on the waitlist (: Our orders were taken quickly as well and the food arrived in a timely manner. The pho was great! The soup base was delicious and the meat was super tender and yummy. We had the option between large and small noodle, and we all went with large noodle (which I prefer)! Overall great texture and great taste. I do think that the price is steeper than other pho places, and for the portion size you get, I'd imagine it to equate to the price (': Parking was no issue and customer service was fine. There was plenty of seating and it was clean!

Yelp
This place is bigger than it appears from the outside. Some seating outside. Bathroom is clean. Now onto the main reason why we're here. The service was great and the server offered extra onion with vinegar on the side as well as green onion. The beef was tender in our pho and the broth was extra delicious. I took my leftover broth home just to sip on a later day. The truffle fries were ok but filled up the extra space left in my stomach.

Yelp
Must check in before being seated. Theres also a check in option on Yelp. We were greeted by someone and waited a couple minutes. Their menu is super simple. Pho, fried rice with beef, sliders or more pho. Prices are slightly higher than their usual pho joints but the quality is good. Pho broth is clean and tasty. Service is quick and a stead stream of customers. I think their meat is mostly halal which pulls in quite a bit of non viet folks. The manager was nice enough to walk over and offer a couple drinks to try. We chose the Thai tea and lychee tea which taste amazing. The decor was clean, and photos of all their food posted on walls. Overall a great experience, I'd come back again!

Yelp
For all you waygu needs? This is the spot. Their waygu pho is top tier and if you're not in a pho mood, there are so many other options to choose from. Honestly for me, their beef stew was the best thing off the menu & best I've had. The carpaccio is a must as well I will be coming back just for that. Save this post to remind yourself what to order when you go to Pho Red go FOOD: Passion Fruit Tea Lychee Tea Fresh Watermelon Juice Thai Tea Beef Stew Fresh Baguette Waygu Pho ox tail Pho Wagyu Fried Rice Waygu Carpaccio

Yelp
Fantastic! Restaurant is very clean, spacious, and feels well kept. Truffle Fries - 5/5: Hands down fries shouldn't be this good at a pho place. Eggrolls - 4/5: Eggrolls are yummy but on the smaller side. That said, they fit well into the lettuce provided and after dipping into the fish sauce, definitely becomes a 5/5. Pho Combo 4.5/5: Really yummy pho. Meat stays nice and tasty even after stewing in the broth for the whole meal. Noodles are very bouncy and tasty. Broth is flavorful but not too much. Only "negative" remark is that the pho ends up taking on a more meaty flavor due to how much tasty meat is inside but this is just a personal note. A bit of lime and some bean sprouts help bring it back though. + Bonus Points for really good service.

Yelp
I recently took my parents, who eat halal, to this pho place, and it was a truly memorable experience! My husband, who is half Vietnamese, wanted to share a taste of his culture with them, and this spot did not disappoint. The place has outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. it is pretty cute and cozy inside. We found plenty of parking and, thanks to our reservation, were seated right away - no wait time, which is always nice. What We Ordered: Thai iced teas all around. they were perfect and not too overly sweet ! Came in a bottle so you can take home and drink later as well! Flaming Wagyu Carpaccio: This dish was a showstopper! The wagyu comes out on a hot stone, and they flame it up right at your table. It's a fun little performance, and the wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We all loved every bite. Shaky Wagyu Beef: My dad couldn't get enough of this one. The wagyu was super tender, and he really enjoyed the small bowl of soup on the side. It added an extra cozy touch to the meal. Pho with Well-Done Brisket: My husband and I both got this, and he, knowing the flavor profile well, was thrilled! He even said it was as good as (if not better than) non-halal versions he's had. The brisket was perfectly tender, and the broth was packed with flavor. Pho & Broth (Mom's Order): My mom opted for just the broth and noodles to ease into the experience since it was her first time trying pho. She ended up really enjoying it and even wanted to sample ours - a good sign she was pleasantly surprised! This place is a gem for anyone craving authentic halal Vietnamese food with a twist. Delicious food, friendly service, and a memorable experience make it a place we'll definitely be back to
