The Best Phở In Philly

"If you’re too busy looking at the non-seasonal Masquerade Costume Store on Christopher Columbus Blvd., you might just miss Pho Saigon. This restaurant has been a staple of the Riverview Plaza for years, serving bowls of phở, broken rice platters, smoothies, and Vietnamese coffee. Get the rare steak phở, along with a side of shrimp and pork summer rolls and the crispy pork spring rolls. When it’s cold outside, it’s the ideal way to start the day." - alison kessler

Pho Saigon in Riverview Plaza serves solid pho and other Vietnamese staples. - Review - South Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"If you’re too busy checking out the tacky garb at Masquerade Costume Store (no, it’s not a Spirit Halloween), you might just miss Pho Saigon. The small restaurant has been a staple of the Riverview Plaza for years, serving up huge bowls of phở and all the fixins’, broken rice platters, smoothies and Vietnamese coffee. One of our favorite meals is the rare steak pho, along with sides of the tender shrimp and pork summer rolls and the always-perfectly-crisp pork spring rolls. When it’s cold outside, it’s the ideal way to start the day." - Alison B. Kessler

Where to Get A Bowl of Pho in Philly | Eater Philly

"Pho Saigon is tucked into the far side of Philly by the waterfront, and its modest venue and efficiency dining room sets the stage for a staggeringly good pho, with a generous garnish plate and even more generous portions. Pho Saigon packs a punch — open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with vegetarian options available, you could enjoy every meal of the day here." - Tayler Bunge

Google
My experience was awful! I made a huge mistake of not going to my usual pho place, instead I went on trying this place. I ordered a large combination pho which was almost $17 after taxes. The pho only came with maybe 5 slice of meat. The egg rolls were so greasy. You could tell the oil them were using to fry was so dark. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Google
Located in strip mall, conveniently off I95, rather than make the Front exit take the entrance off Christopher. Pho is the primary menu item, lots of different options. Only 1 banh mi choice. That said it was good, nuc mam was well balanced and not overly salty. Noodles were tender and spring roll was over stuffed. Good place

Google
I love the pho here - amazing and so authentic compared to other places I’ve tried in the east coast which is unfortunately hard to come by. The rare steak pho was so flavorful, and the oxtail pho was great too. The 1-star reviewers either have a stick up their butt or just plain unhappy people, this place is great, definitely my new go-to pho spot.

Google
Pho broth was flavorful. Fat brisket was a little tough. Noodles were cooked just right. I was hoping meatball was included but was extra.

Google
This place is a solid choice! The food was tasty, and the service was impressively fast, especially since it was quiet when we visited. It’s a spot, perfect for a quick airport pitstop. I left feeling happy and satisfied. 😋

Google
Went with family, pretty good food overall and worth a stop. I got the beef balls pho, some spring rolls, and my family got a mix of vermicilli, pho, and rice meals. Small cozy place with a clean interior (very important for a restaurant!!) and nice people. Not in the south philly area often but if I am again and I need a quick reasonably priced meal, I’d head here.

Google
Came here recently for lunch—lots of available seating and parking outside. Overall the food was good—we enjoyed the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, Pho Tai Sach and Mien Ga Chat! The Goi Cuon Tom Thit (summer rolls) was just alright—the rice paper was too thick and didn’t taste that good.

Google
One of my favorite pho places around Philly! Kinda expensive but they give you a lot. I would recommend this place. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The pho ox tail was amazing! The meat was super tender and the broth was light. 2. Broth wasn’t too salty and refreshing. 3. Avocado bubble tea was really good and perfect pearls. 4. The service was fast. I can’t say the waiter was good or bad but definitely wasn’t as attentive as I would like. 5. Clean bathroom and facility is well kept.

Yelp
This used to be our go-to spot back in the day when we wanted pho. The prices were affordable, and the selection was awesome. However, that was ages ago, before the pandemic. I haven't been back there in several years... until now. Since then, the place is still the same, but the prices have skyrocketed. And I've become a lot more sensitive to MSG, so I always request that places NOT add MSG. Unfortunately, from what was explained, Pho Saigon uses premade broth that already contains MSG. The server said it's only "a little," but a little can be subjective, and a little for him can be a lot for me. So, I didn't want to take any chances. I ordered the non-pho dish instead. The #82 Com Bo Nuong (Broken Rice BBQ Beef) dish, to be exact. And that was actually pretty tasty. The beef was grilled and seasoned wonderfully. It came with a side of white rice, a wedge of tomato, some lettuce, and a slice of cucumber. Although the dish was rather small for the price I paid for it (around $17), it was certainly tasty. So, if you're looking for other things to order here, I'd recommend trying that dish.

Yelp
I have passed this Vietnamese restaurant a million times on my way on Christopher Columbus Blvd to Walmart or the IKEA in South Philly. Today, we braved the visit. The place was pretty dead for Christmas Eve day. The service was quick and without a smile (just the way I like it). We got a Vietnamese drip coffee with milk and a Bún bò Huế. That Vietnamese drip came in a styrofoam cup which felt very unhealthy to be served in. This coffee; however, was the best Vietnamese coffee I have had in a long time. It was not too sweet with the condensed milk. It was the perfect amount of heat as well. The Bún bò Huế I got without the pigs feet. I ended up getting a small bowl but it was pretty big for just one person (I couldn't finish it). It wasn't as spicy as I usually like my dishes but added some red chili oil and it did kind of help. The broth was so delicious and I really liked the brisket in the dish. The table was next to a tv that showed all these street market vendors in Vietnam. This made me even hungrier and more enthralled to try more Vietnamese food here in the future. We ended up paying in the front. They let us pay each bill separately which was super nice and convenient.

Yelp
Awesome and great staffs super friendly I like it and my son also like the pork chop with rice, thanks

Yelp
I got the bun cha with spring rolls and pork skin. It was hyper mid. The sauce was too bland, even when I asked for extra and they gave me two. I also did not like the pork skin and thought it didn't taste very fresh aka tasted like pork in an unpleasant sort of way -- but take this with a grain of salt, it was my first time trying pork skin and I might just not be a pork skin fan. The spring rolls were fire tho, especially with the mint. My colleagues said the pho was also fine, not amazing but not terrible. A very strong 3/5 meh. Service was great though!!

Yelp
If this was a few years ago, I would've given it a higher rated but the food quality has gone down. I ordered my usual, pho tai, nam, gan, sach but the broth was very bland and it wasn't even that hot. The tai remained super uncooked and was very chewy. The nem nuong has very little actual nem and was just filled with vermicelli. Service was fine and it was pretty empty for a Friday evening. I think I'm just going to stick to my go-to pho place at Pho 75 from now on.

Yelp
Vietnamese food at Philly We took out #62 pho with rare steam, flank and tendon and #64 pho with rare steak, flank and tripe. We asked the rice noodles not to be cooked. When came home heated up the soup with beef and put in bean sprouts, thai basil, thinly sliced onions and meats and splashed with the lime juice. The broth was not too salty and tasted good with noodles and meats.

Yelp
Great little pho spot in South Philly on Columbus Boulevard. Has ample parking. Everything is delicious and customer service is super friendly and fast.

Yelp
Great Pho and awesome service. Portions are huge too. And don't leave with out a Vietnamese coffee. And the summer rolls are so so good. Highly recommend

Yelp
Check your receipt and bills. They over charged me without my consent after I picked up my online order through grub hub. I saw my credit card statement which was different than my receipt and reported them to my bank and grub hub Where else do I report them?? Also, I ordered 2 pho tais- and it came with 3 different fatty meats I definitely did not want. - tripe, brisket, some other super fatty meat, and then a few slices of rare steak. and made both soups super oily. Disappointment all around Hurricane was coming through so I wasn't about to go back out in the rain to drive back to complain. . And didn't see the different charges applied until 4 days later. Suddenly grub hub showed higher prices for the same items I ordered for a cheaper price. You can't do that after I confirmed my order and picked. Y'all literally stapled the correct original receipt so I had proof for my bank

Yelp
We came here at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night and the middle-aged man (I don't know if he's the owner or the manager) was rushing us to get our orders in because the kitchen was about to close. It turns out that they close at 8 PM on Saturday nights. We had no idea that they would close so early on a Saturday night. Also, since the kitchen was about to close, our options were limited. We could not order any fried egg rolls or rice dishes, only dishes with soup. We ordered the summer rolls and some pho. The summer rolls were small, the soup that the pho was in was not hot enough to cook the rare beef, and even though I specifically told the man who took our orders "no onions", there was still onions in my pho and I had to pick them out. This place is way overpriced for what they serve and, worse of all, for the poor customer service. The middle-aged man who took our orders was gruff. When he brought us our check, he did not say a single word, no smile, no thank you, nothing. He also never came back to take my credit card, so I had to go pay up front. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. What a disappointment it turned out to be. I will definitely never go there again. Next time I'm in the neighborhood and want some Asian food, I'll just go to the seafood and sushi buffet next door and I recommend everyone do the same.

Yelp
I've eaten here so many times in the past. Went for some pho and iced coffee. The Pho was great. But when asked for an iced Vietnamese coffee, I noticed the cups were about 1/4 full without ice. When the server added ice to my coffee, the cup was filled with mostly ice. I told them there needs to be more coffee in that cup. Im not paying for a cup of ice sprinkled with a touch of coffee. I told them that was a rip off. The cashier and servers said nothing. People are not stupid. Stop trying to scam your customers. If you want to serve that amount of coffee, you should be charging $2.00. You just lost a once loyal customer. Bad business. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
I love this place. Once a month or so my partner and me come here to enjoy a nice hot bowl of pho. The pho is delicious and always piping hot! The service is also amazing! We haven't waited longer than 30 secs to get seated with menus ever. The servers are quick and friendly. When we bring our son they always have a high chair ready to go while we walk to the table. The ambiance is chill. Overall this is a great place to get a delicious, affordable, and fast meal!

Yelp
Pho is average at best. Even for a vietnamese restaurant, known for lack of customer service, this place is absolutely horrible at service.

Yelp
I have been coming to this place for years now. I swear by their pho. Their entrees are also pretty tasty. I've had their pork chop as well as the bbq chicken. Servers are quick and at your service. I will continue being a patron for years to come.

Yelp
I have to admit, I used to never go to this restaurant even though it's been around for quite some time. But in the past one to two years, my husband and I have ordered takeout from here several times and the food has always been solid. Our go-to is the grilled chicken over rice or vermicelli. It's definitely pricier than other Vietnamese restaurants around the area, but the quality is better and the portions are huge. I can't really speak to the brothy options on their menu (had one item and only remember not being impressed) but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rice or vermicelli dishes.

Yelp
Great place for some Vietnamese food! We enjoyed the spring rolls as appetizer and the service was fast and kind. My sister ordered the Bun Bo Hue and said that there wasn't enough noodles, so that is our only complaint. The inside is nice and clean. Would come back here again for lunch!
google avatar

Yelp
Food: Ordered the pho tai with bo vien (slices of raw beef with beef balls). Soup was pretty typical and certainly hits the spot on a cold day. This restaurant is one of the few that includes beef balls in multiple menu items and they're also better than the beef balls at other restaurants too. Price: The price is higher compared to other pho places in the area - about $16 for the large bowl. A little difficult to justify spending the extra money when the quality of the food is on average and the restaurant is just a few minutes away from many other spots that are more affordable.

Yelp
The food is amazing! On Christopher Columbus BLVD! I love it!! I will be going again!

Yelp
Came into this place based off of my sister's recommendation, and I must say that it did not disappoint. We were seated immediately when we walked in, and we were given the menus to order. The menu has many pho options, and each item has a number and description. This makes ordering a lot easier. You simply give your server the number of the item you are ordering, and they bring it to you. The waiters waited patiently for us to decide what we were ordering, and they gave descriptions of items when we asked for clarification. We ordered a few appetizer items of veggie and seafood summer rolls, and they tasted great. Everyone I was eating with ordered the 'Beef Pho with Rare Steak,' and it was exceptional. The large versus regular size option has only a one dollar difference, so we all went with the large. The portion is huge, and incredibly filling if you can even finish it. The flavor of the broth was great, and the servers supplied us with ample bean sprouts, basil, and limes for topping. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. The overall value for around 10-12 dollars for a bowl of genuine pho is incredible. The taste is great, and the ambiance is not bad. Additionally, this restaurant is in a shopping center with a parking lot, which is great being that Philly can sometimes be difficult to finding parking. The bathrooms are soo decent, but could use some improvement. Overall, Pho Saigon is a great spot for affordable and genuine pho with great service.

Yelp
Pho Saigon is my favorite Pho restaurant in Philadelphia. Why? You can get delicious Pho at several places in Philly, and Pho Saigon is no different. What sets apart Pho Saigon (for me), is: the PEANUT SAUCE for the summer rolls! Holy moley, that is the BEST peanut sauce I've ever tasted at any Vietnamese restaurant. The second item that sets apart Pho Saigon for me, is the AVOCADO SHAKE! Its soooo delicious! Perfectly thick and blended, not too sweet, delicious liquid avocado in my tummy. Can't get better than that. Some other local Pho places on Washington Ave are all cash only, but not Pho Saigon! Use credit cards here! The staff are so friendly, and the food comes out SPEEDY FAST. Every time I eat here, which as been at least 5 times, the food is on the table seriously minutes after ordering. And, they give you a plate full of extra toppings for your Pho; bean sprouts, lime, basil, jalapenos, etc. I know that all other Pho places also serve this, but I feel like Pho Saigon gives you the most. Also, did I mention the Peanut Sauce!? I wish I could take that sauce home in containers and use it for dipping all my food :) Love Pho Saigon, I will be back again and again!

Yelp
Very pricey for average food. I'm pretty sure the one dish I ordered jumped $5 since like last year. Totally understand price increases but this is crazy. No thanks to that!

Yelp
I came here to grab some food while waiting for my car to be serviced at the Pep Boys in the same plaza. It was around 10:30 in the morning. There were maybe four or five other customers also there. The service was prompt and efficient - I didn't have to wait any time to place my order and the food literally came out in 5-10 minutes. The pho was delicious and really hit the spot. I would definitely come here again, especially since it is adjacent to a huge parking lot and easy to get to!
google avatar

Yelp
Returning customer, Been here a couple times. Today i noticed , The prices jumped through the roof. a small bowl of pho is 17$ and it's very small. My boyfriend and I went we got a coffee, small steak pho soup, broken rice platter and spring roll... came to 60$ with tip. Almost left when I noticed the change but was already seated. Won't return ... it's just regular pho, no atmosphere no music and out of the way.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
Pre-Covid-19, it was one of my favorite pho places, but I've never ordered pho takeout before. It did not disappoint. Flavors were as good as I remembered and you just call and pickup. Portion sizes are still pretty good and packaged well. There is no regular and large size like the eat-in menu, just one size for takeout.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner before going to the movies and it was great. We ordered spring rolls. They were steaming hot and the sauce was delicious! Then for our main dish we ordered beef pho with a variety of meats. And we also ordered fish ball pho. That was a special order for me and it was very nice of them for being so accommodating. The food was good. The service was quick and standard. You should try this place.

Yelp
This place is my go to whenever I'm in the mood for pho. I live right off and travel up and down I95 alot so having multiple food options off many of the exits is always nice. The food comes out hot and fast and everything always tastes fresh. Some people complain about the decor and service, but I'm there for a quick bite so I'm not bothered. The waiters dont check on you often but if you need something just wave them over and they are always quick to help once you get their attention. The decor isnt terrible, but as long as the staff is at least friendly, and the food is good, I don't complain. Some of the best places are small hole in the walls. My usual order is the beef ball pho. I enjoy this type of pho because I'm not always in the mood for thin slices of beef. The balls are dense and look like they contain pieces of tendon or some other semi gelatinous chunks. It's perfect if you are looking for something that's a little chewy but still packs beef flavor. I also like to season my pho heavily with the floral accompaniments (thai basil, cilantro, lime) so it's nice to have something meaty to cut through that. We also usually get the vermicelli with pork. The pork has a nice grilled flavor and the other ingredients add a nice freshness to the dish. I give this place 4/5 stars because the location is convenient, the service is fast, the food fresh, hot, and tasty. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the staff could be more cheerful, the room temperature is always off, and it could be updated a little. These are just nitpicky opinions if I were forced to offer some critique so I feel 4/5 is more than fair.
google avatar

Sandy T.

Yelp
The food was okay. Not the best but not the worst either. The people were friendly and prices were average. Their Thai tea was well-made! The noodles were a bit too soft for my liking and the spring rolls were not crunchy enough. The fish sauce was a bit bland in my opinion too.
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best pho in Philly. I personally love their vermicelli with grilled chicken. Great service too- went with a group of 15 and they were super accommodating!

Yelp
Everyone needs pho the day after drinking. My girlfriend and I came here after pulling ourselves out of bed this past Saturday. This Pho spot is one of my favorites in south philly. The broth in this pho is super flavorful. I hardly need to add hoisin and sriracha to my bowl. The spring rolls were good, however one was warm while the other was really hot. It could be a possibility that one wasn't fried and was sitting out. The Viet coffee is strong but I think they add some milk which my gf didn't like. Their bowls of pho is also a couple dollars more than a usual pho spot, it's $10-$11 here. BUT, their pho does hit the spot which is why this is one of pho spots.
google avatar

Megan Y.

Yelp
A pretty solid four stars for pho. I have done dine-in before and today I got take-out. Ambiance: not much. It's in a strip mall. There are menus taped up and random boxes out in the lobby area. Nothing terrible, but nothing to write home about. Ordering: Ordering for dining in and takeout is pretty easy. You can order by number. Presentation: Dining in is pretty much as expected. No frills but everything you need. I will say that I was very impressed with how they packed my take-out. The noodles, meat and cilantro were in a bowl separate from the plastic container of broth, so the noodles didn't get soggy as you took them to wherever you planned to eat. The extras, Thai basil, lime, sauce, jalapeños and sprouts were in a separate bag, so you could choose how much to add. Food: Very tasty! Could have been a bit spicier. I would have liked a side of Sriracha but maybe I should have asked. I made two modifications when I ate it. First, it's sliced chicken in large pieces and I prefer shredded, so I shredded it by hand before adding the broth, and I had limes in the kitchen and I like a lot of citrus, so I added extra lime juice. Value: Why would anyone ever order a small here when you get so much more for $1. That said, my chicken pho was about $16. Not terrible, but a bit on the pricier side. Overall, recommended!

Yelp
So many great Phô places in Philly. I just love Phô Saigon (especially if you have a car, as they are located with a convenient parking lot). Large menu, and very quick with service. My go to is Phô Tai and summer rolls with bbq beef. Love their fresh lemonade as well.

Yelp
My favorite Vietnamese restaurant of all time! I LOVE their amazing pho ga (chicken pho noodle soup), which is made with fresh chicken. Their soup broth is very tasty+flavorful and the accompanying ginger dipping sauce for the chicken is so delicious. My usual order is a small bowl of pho ga with another half of their steamed fresh chicken. My husband loves their pho bo (beef pho noodle soup) and pho ga. They also have some good rice dishes (bbq pork chops/ chicken/ beef) We've been coming here for over 5 years and nothing can compare; this place has always been consistent with their food and service. I still haven't been able to find another Viet restaurant that serves pho ga with fresh chicken, every place I've tried it from just uses white meat chicken. If you want a good bowl of pho, then this is the place to go.

Yelp
For my first review of 2019 I have finally come to Phó Saigon. I pass it often enough en route that it was only a matter of HAVING time. Eating pho is not a rushed matter nor can one do it in the car as I am forced to do more often as of late. Yada yada yada. I started with an order of spring rolls. Crispy flaky rice paper rolls with a well combined mixture of veg, mushroom, taro, shrimp, and pork. They serve them with a fish sauce which I thought tasted better with a bit of soy sauce. My pho... the simple beef version without all the extra cool cuts like tripe (stomach lining), oxtail (yum), meatballs, beef shank, ribeye or brisket that they offer in small and large size bowls. Your soup comes with a large plate of mung bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, lime wedges, and Vietnamese coriander(?). That last item I have to research because it doesn't look anything like the cilantro/coriander I grow. There is hot tea on request and all sorts of condiments and additions laid out on the table neatly to customize your soup however you wish. If you like pho and have tried the other Vietnamese spots on Washington Ave I think you should try this spot. It'll be similar to the others but the building is cleaner. Food tastes cleaner and fresh. And the local first gens all eat here, a great indicator of the authenticity of the cuisine. Bon appetit!

Yelp
fraudulent activity across the board! do not 'entertain' this establishment! they took my personal credit to order items online & then have them delivered to this specific address unit 22 philadelphia, pa. imagine my 'surprise' when i googled the location.......crooks are definitely on the menu! i'm reporting them to the police!!

Yelp
Order: 23. Spring Rolls 63. Pho with Rare Steak, Well Done Flank and Fat Brisket 72. Pho with Rare Steak and Beef Balls Love that this spot has parking because our usual place in Chinatown has street parking. Loved the food, but it wasn't the best pho we've had in the area. The ingredients were fresh and the food was hot, but the utensils that they have sitting at each table were not clean. There was a lot of super chewy fat on my flank, and she wasn't a fan of the beef balls. But you can never mess up spring rolls. I'd order two of them just for myself! Overall, delicious authentic Vietnamese food with quick service and a little more pricey than most places.

Yelp
Too notch service and sensational food. The BBQ pork summer rolls are so delicious. The traditional shrimp and pork summer roll is equally delicious. The pho is as good as it gets.

Yelp
Trying new pho places for us is hard because we have our go to places. Being from houston I found mine in philly a while back. I decided to change it up. I wound up at pho Saigon. The decor nice, the ambiance normal, and not confrontational. People of all cultures are welcome and everyone was catered to. Now onto the pho. The pho was alright, a bit saltier than what I usually go to, the meat was more than the noodles which I found a little upsetting. What I noticed first was that a standard bowl of pho at this joint will easily set you back 11.95. These prices are very foreign to me going to so many places over the years. With the price a bit more, I was expecting a bit more noodle. No lies the bowls are big and they included the herb that most pho places tend to skip bc it is expensive. We also tried the spring roll that was not fried. It was called the summer roll. It wasn't my favorite. Overall a bit expensive for a standard bowl of pho that didn't impress me in terms of flavor or delight. But again this is just me

Yelp
YUM. I like when Vietnamese restaurants have big menus like this one. The large size pho is great for 2 people, especially if you plan to share appetizers or other dishes.

Yelp
Today 9/12/2021 I went there with my daughter for lunch . we ordered half of steamed chicken and 2 small bowl plain egg soup , half of steam chicken cost me $20.95 way over charged plain egg noodle soup $10.25 each bowl it's rip off , anybody need to pay attention this Vietnamese restaurant , rip off restaurant.

Yelp
Wanted a place where we could park easily so we tried Pho Saigon. Very bare bones in terms of decor. Got the #65 and #69 pho, waiter steamed our bean sprouts per my sister's request. Soups were both good. I didn't care for the chicken in the summer rolls so I pulled that out and then they were fine. The Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious. I was disappointed when it seemed pulled from fridge pre-made in a batch, but the flavor of the coffee was amazing.
google avatar

Selena C.

Yelp
Pho soup is ok. Service is bad, other than a person taking our order, nobody came to our table to check on us the whole time when we were there, more than 1 hour. The overall appearance of the tables and chairs in the restaurant doesn't look that tidy. The most appealing thing for the restaurant is probably the bright name tag outside. I won't go back again.
google avatar

Yelp
They take credit card. Overall this was a great pho spot. Their menu is big and also has a number of other items too if you don't want noodles. Comparatively I think the broth has more star anise than other places, and the it's rich and tasty. Garnish was all very fresh. Lots of seating and fast service.

If you're a vegetarian like me, this is not the place to go! (The only reason I give it 3 stars) I got vegetable spring rolls that were topped over a bowl of plain noodles and salad because they didn't have veggie broth or any other veggie option. No matter how much soy sauce I put on top, it felt like I was eating nothing. We also ordered a Thai Tea though which turned out to be absolutely delicious and basically made that my meal. I had no idea there was no vegetable broth available for Pho, but now I know!

Yelp
As of so far, I think that this has been my lowest rated bowl of pho. The interior design itself is your typical Vietnamese pho restaurant feel. The servers do the standard expected service. However, the quality of pho here, relatively in comparison to what I've had, is not all that great. The texture of the noodles was on the soft side and it seemed to have a sort of slimy coating on it. Most of the fat brisket in my bowl were tough and very difficult to chew. The broth was half decent but not clean tasting. Overall, I would definitely prefer to go to the many other pho options that are available around this area. Update: I tried their pork with rice and it was more noteworthy than I had expected. Thinly sliced so that it wouldn't be too tough to chew, it had a good balance of seasonings. It was grilled to just the right amount and complemented with the right amount of broken rice. Definitely more enjoyable than the first time around!

Yelp
Stumbled on this years ago taking the long way home from the Italian market. I saw a line of Asian folks and assumed it must be good. IT WAS AMAZING. I now drive up 45 minutes to eat here as often as I can. The Pho is very tasty and generous portions. For beef, the fatty brisket is a must try for the flavor/texture. The bbq pork with spring roll is pretty fantastic too, good for summer eating with cold noodles/salad underneath.

Yelp
My favorite pick me up place of all time in Philadelphia. Yes this place beats out all the other pho places including choo choos (unofficial name of another Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown) FOR their PHO dishes. I have had many pho places when I travel but every time I come here I never get disappointed. Again PHO only. Customer service: fast, consisting of an all male fleet of servers. Extremely nice and willing to please. TV: big LCD screens to watch your sports on. Drink choices: Thai ice tea, want bubbles? No problem. Other dishes I recommend if you are not getting PHO: pork chop and broken rice.... Delicious!!!

Yelp
Have been to this place multiple times. Never disappoints me but this rime the soup came out a little cold than expected. We ordered their special Chicken with glass noodle soup. The chicken had bones and skin and was a little under cooked. The broth was great. There were pieces of white meat chicken which were tasty. We also ordered pork spring rolls which were very tasty. Overall, good food. Not so much the service. Nothing phenomenal but not bad either.
