The Best Cheap Eats in Jacksonville, Florida | Eater Miami

"Picasso’s is located in the Mandarin neighborhood of Jacksonville and dishes some of the best cheap eats in town, especially at lunchtime. The fast-casual lunch service lets diners choose a slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink for under $10. The pizza slices are New York style, and the crust is brushed with savory garlic butter, so it’s delicious down to the last bite. For those headed to the restaurant for dinner, try the New Orleans-style gumbo made with local Mayport shrimp and a blend of secret savory and spicy spices."

Never had a bad meal at Picasso’s! Wish it were still open on Sundays, but I’ll take what I can get. Recommend the Mediterranean pizza…and like everything else.

My wife and I made our First stop recently we had heard good things. The staff we talked to were all great, even 1 of the even cooks we talked to. Don't let my low matter on the atmosphere sway you, everything was clean it's just kind of there. But for the food I would have eaten outside. Big words given the weather. Strombolian Italian hoagie were both amazing. Recommend giving it a try

Google
Went there for a work function. It was during lunch, so you had to order everything up at the register. I didn't so much mind that, but no one came to clean plates or anything. I ordered a calzone with Sautéed spinach and garlic, and their homemade Italian sausage. It was pretty under seasoned imo... the inside was barley warm. In all, not very impressed.

Google
Food is reliably delicious, but environment and service have room for improvement. Was recently there for dinner and had a great meal, our party was celebrating a birthday and enjoying our time together and didn’t realize that it was past closing time when we finally left (925P). We still had glasses, silverware and pizza racks on our table and our server had not come to the table with the typical “Is there anything else we can get you?” that you often receive when a restaurant is trying to turn a table or close. As we were leaving a staff member made very passive aggressive comments “Thank You for keeping us here late on an otherwise slow night! We hope your night was worth keeping us here late on a Thursday”. There are plenty of polite ways to encourage people to leave and at no point did anyone come to our table after we had closed our check. We were lost in conversation, finishing drinks and enjoying our time.

Google
Never even tried this place before, first time with me and my fiance and we ordered two sandwhiches, after it took the waiter 15 minutes to even take our drink order. Then 30 minutes after ordering two sandwhiches and still not getting anything ? So 45 minutes for two drinks ? You really need to actually hire people who know how to actually do there jobs properly so you don’t have customers waiting almost near an hour for nothing. 3 tables that arrived 15-20 minutes AFTER US were receiving there entire meals before us. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I don’t even know how you have 4.6 star rating at all. You must pay for reviews for it to be that high.

Google
Great food, great service, but… This might be a wild take, but I noticed the host seemed to seat all the minorities in the back of the restaurant away from the windows. Several empty tables near the front of the restaurant were skipped, only to be led to the tables at the back of the place. I would love to eat here more. Despite the food being good, the vibes are off.

Google
Stopped in unplanned for Friday night dinner! It was a great choice. We heard great reviews from friends and decided to go. There was a short wait, but it flew by quickly. The space is small but quaint. We ordered the gumbo and minestrone to start. A large New York style pizza, the pan seared chicken and spaghetti with meatballs for our daughter for our entrees. The pasta is homemade, and sauce was delicious! The gumbo was excellent, and the pan seared chicken on point - juicy and full of flavor. We ended our dinner with the butter cake!!! Yum! It's definitely a must try! We will be back soon.

Google
First time trying it. The food was nice, the atmosphere was loud and busy. Not too large of a restaurant so it gets noisy quickly. Wonderful service! They make their dishes from scratch. They taste much better than other more Americanized Italian places. Recommend this place! Their pizza selection is really cool! Lots of different and new options. And their make your own pasta is really good. As well as their sandwiches! We all got different dishes. Chicken parm with fries, penne with Alfredo and salmon, and the chicken and broccoli pizza Saint Louis version!

Yelp
This was the first time I went to Picasso's for lunch and didn't realize they close between 2:30 and 4:30 on Saturdays. I've been there for dinner before. Not only did we have reasonably priced and delicious pizza but the team working there could have easily kicked us out at 2:30 but were so kind and patient to let us stay. We only realized when the place got empty and we looked at the door and realized we had overstayed by half an hour. We apologize but appreciate so much your kindness! Thanks So much!

Yelp
In the area visiting some family and took the crew to Picasso's. Some in our party had sandwiches, another had the pizza slice and a salad special, while myself and 2 others shared a large NY style Butcher's Special that we added mushrooms to. I can't speak to the sandwiches, but the party member that had the Ceasar salad said it was yummy. I can say that the pizza was really good. A good crispy crust with a great cheese and sauce / toppings ratio. Fairly easy parking as it's a strip mall type location. Bathrooms were clean. Order at counter, self service drinks, and they bring the food to your table. I'd go back if I was in the area and wanted a good pizza or had a group to feed.

Yelp
I started with the fried macaroni and cheese appetizer, which was surprisingly the highlight of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the entrée. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and it had a strange aftertaste that was hard to ignore. I found bits of food in the pasta that clearly didn't belong--possibly remnants from another dish. My friend ordered the same thing and had the same issue, which makes me wonder if this cross-contamination is what caused the odd flavor. The breadsticks were also a letdown--dry, bland, and not at all what we were hoping for.

Yelp
5 Start Italian-American Eatery, however service can be improved. The location of this place is "ducked-off" and DISCREET. When you pull up, you may think it's a Dive. The inside is the usual CASUAL dining setting. You'll notice a mix of the restaurants inventory mixed into the dining experience (I'm not sure if it's on purpose); however, the causal atmosphere should not be confused with the menu price nor food quality. This place is PRICEY. The wine selection is plentiful. I go house everytime. The food menu is limited, but I feel like you can't go wrong. My go to menu options are Italian Stew pot (for the meatballs), Fried Mozz & Side Salad with Salmon. I have had their pastas and pizzas too. All items (I am impressed) are cooked finely to chef's Perfections. They do not miss on FRESH QUALITY INGREDIENTS. The service is hit/miss. I have gotten a hospitable waiter a time or two. But more times than not you will get a pretentious, pompous attitude from the staff (until you prove your worth). One time we were turned away due to us having a party of 10. The manager's comment was "we'd rather tend to our usuals then host a large party bc they couldn't make room" I think staff training on unconscious bias will go along way. I mean I was a regular before the comment.

Yelp
Picasso's never disappoints, and today was no exception! While we usually go for their pizza, we decided to try their sandwiches for lunch. I'm so glad we did! They can literally do no wrong! The flavors were on point, and everything tasted just as fresh and delicious as always. It's been a while since we've been in, and I noticed the new system where you order and pay first before sitting down, which I don't mind at all as long as the food's still stellar. And it definitely was! Another solid experience that keeps us coming back.

Yelp
This place is one of my fav pizza places in Jacksonville. There's a reason it's been here forever. The pizza is so good and fresh. Becareful ordering a small size of Alfredo for the crust though....its $2.75 for 2 oz. Also if you want mushrooms added to the kitchen sink, it's an extra $1.75. So, like everywhere they're nicholing and dining you. The service is always decent. Some servers have been here forever. Others are newer. Nice/casual atmosphere. The food will never disappoint.

Yelp
We dined in on a reservation for dinner. Our service was fast and friendly. The food was all piping hot and delicious. The marinara and bolognese were wonderfully seasoned. The spicy pasta was spicy but not too spicy. The pizza crust was thin and crispy. We will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been going to Picasso for many many years and have never left disappointed. My go to is the Butcher's Special on St Louis crust. It's not really something you can get anywhere else here that I'm aware of. The service is always good even though the place can get a little chaotic during peak meal times. It's still busy after all these years for a reason!

Yelp
Oh Picasso's... A gem, truly a gem. This spot is tucked away into an unsuspecting strip mall in Mandarin just across the Buckman which is a solid 30 minute drive for us, but well worth the trek. Entering the restaurant you're promptly greeted by the host/hostess who will probably apologize that there will be a short wait. (A good sign) No worries, you're seated in the small, but quaint restaurant with large booths to accommodate parties of 6-8 along with freestanding tables. Once you're seated you can read a bit of their background and philosophy; a St. Louis native, plopped down into Jacksonville to share his culinary expertise. You're greeted by STL staples like toasted ravioli, cracker-thin STL style pizza, and gooey butter cake to round things out --tempting for a fellow Saint Louis-an. But, my goodness, the pastas, freshly made in house with care. Premium, fresh ingredients, portions with flexibility to share, though you won't want to. Impressive wine selection to pair. If the quality of your food didn't convince you how much these small business owners care about your experience, maybe chat up the owners themselves who frequently make rounds throughout their establishment to ensure you leave with the most satisfyingly perfect meal in tow. Okay okay, great dinner spot but it's midday and I just need to grab a bite. My friends, grab a Philly cheesesteak for the road or any of there other lovely sandwiches. All-in-all, this place goes above and beyond, is priced exceptionally fairly for the quality/quantity and remains my favorite spot in town for pizza/pasta.

Yelp
Always love having lunch here with friends especially is they haven't had lunch here before! Great food and service!

Yelp
Came without a reservation and was told it would be 2 hours wait for a table for 2 people. We put our name on the list but ended up leaving and forgot to take our name off. They texted us 15 minutes later and said our table was ready so we came back LOL. Our first time here and wasn't sure what to expect... We both got the eggplant Parmesan ($15). It was good. We should have tried some of the pizza and other menu items. Next time! This is a sit down place to make conversations with your people. No TV's or anything to distract you.

Yelp
As usual Everything was great today for Lunch There food is a Italian culinary treat; Wish they were in San Marco!

Yelp
Best Italian homemade restaurant and I mean FRESH everything! I suggest the Heart of Mediterranean pizza and add-on sausage, fried basil , Mayport shrimp -- and for Dessert hands down the Gooey Butter Cake (ask for them to warm in up for the ultimate decadent experience ever WHOO - and a cuppa of Joe). Heaven is here in a unique WORD OF MOUTH place - no advertising required . Family owned and the owners are always here working. Oh did I say the pasta is homemade and the Italian red sauce is the best in all of Florida! They also do catering !! PICASSO's WHERE FOOD IS ART EST. 2004

Yelp
This place has great pizza and great Italian food very good service the gooey butter dessert is to die for love it

Yelp
Finally got to try Picasso's!! What a great experience we had. Waitress was phenomenal! Food was one of the best meals I've had!! The Mayfield salad was very good! I had the butcher steak. It was 5 stars cooked perfectly!! The seasoning was so good! They had a good beer and wine selection. Place was happening last night! A five star experience!! I will be coming back. We were so filled that we didn't try the Hawaiian pizza we ordered. We took it home. The butter cake was good and hit the spot. Place is very clean and well staffed.

Yelp
One of our favorites! Noi is the best server so we try to coordinate our visits when she is working. The food is always delicious. My go-to is the pan-roasted chicken (so flavorful)! Hubby got the special burger with onion bacon jam and a side salad. We split some apps (don't skip on the fried Mac and Cheese) and a small fettuccine alfredo. We were so full we didn't have room for the butter cake but I highly recommend it if you don't overdo it on apps like we did. It's a small place that you may miss if you weren't looking for it. There are large booths and a separate room that can be reserved for parties. The owners are super friendly and very attentive. Definitely add this place to your places to try!

Yelp
As always, the food, service and atmosphere was amazing! We love Picassos, and will keep going back!

Yelp
Picasso's never misses a beat with their exceptional service and fresh food. The dishes are always unique and amazingly good. The table could not stop talking about how great the shrimp n grits were. I was amazed at how tender and flavorful the NY strip was. Picasso's is always slammed but the experience never wanes. I love the casual vibe especially with such elevated dishes. Picasso's, keep doing what you're doing, this place is def a hidden gem!

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place since I've heard great things about it. Me and my family tried it out on a Saturday during lunch. One thing I wasn't expecting was that there is no table service during lunch. You order at a counter, get given a number, and then sit down at a table. You get your own silverware and drinks as well. This is definitely a casual spot, and not somewhere I'd go for an intimate dinner or romantic date. It tends to get a bit loud since the kitchen is open to the dining room. The service here was outstanding from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Every employee was very friendly and attentive. If I was just basing this review on food, it would be three stars, but the fantastic service bumps it to four stars. I ordered the lunch special which included a drink, slice of pizza, and a side salad for $8.50. The other lunch option was 2 slices and a drink for $8. We also ordered the fried mozzarella for the table. The fried mozzarella was easily the best thing we ordered. It was hot, flavorful, and the marinara dipping sauce was delicious. The side salad was middle of the road, nothing crazy. I got the Italian dressing which was more of an oil and vinegar. I'd prefer if the salad was served in a bowl rather than a plate, and some of the lettuce had obvious brown spots. The slice of pizza was good, but not outstanding. I got pineapple on mine. The pineapple was the canned kind, which was very disappointing since they put a huge emphasis on fresh ingredients (as stated in their Yelp bio. I don't think canned pineapple is the best pineapple in town). This pizza was 10% crust 20% sauce and 70% cheese. If that's your kind of thing, you'll love it. The cheese was a bit too much for me, very thick and chewy, and took away from the sauce and crust. I prefer more even proportions for my pizza, but if a cheese lover you'll be in heaven. Overall, it was good for a quick and casual lunch. I wouldn't return for the pizza since it's not my preferred style, but I'm still curious to come back for dinner and try their handmade pasta.
google avatar

Yelp
A neighborhood gem hidden in a nondescript strip mall! We are apparently not the only ones who have discovered it. A welcoming restaurant that is perfect for a casual dinner on a weekday or a family get together on a weekend. The salads are all crisp, delicious and bursting with flavor. Pair any one of them with a St. Louis style pizza and you've got yourself the best possible Italian dinner in the Mandarin area. We love the thin crust and the ratio of toppings mixed with the special provel cheese blend. Nice wine list and wonderful service to boot!
google avatar

Tiara L.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and decided to get one if the several lunch specials. It came with a slice of pizza, a salad, and a drink for 7.99. It was delicious! Will be back, as I been craving the cheesesteak
google avatar

Lynda D.

Yelp
Went on a Monday at 1:30 pm. Wasn't greeted and asked abruptly what I wanted. Ordered a caprese salad and a red house wine. Was poured a white wine and asked for red house and she said didn't know if they had a house red. She found a wine and poured it haded me my number and I joined my friends who had ordered pizza (which they loved). Their pizza came and they were done eating when my order showed up. $10 for a very messy and unappetizing plate arrived. Was not impressed and will not be back. First picture is what I believe a caprese should look like and second was what I received.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped here to grab dinner after our dance lesson and it was fantastic. I had the eggplant Parmesan and my boyfriend had the classic Italian Sandwich. My friend had the Cheese Calzone and I didn't get pictures of everyone else's food before they devoured it. The service was good and we loved the welcoming cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back for more yum yums in our tum tums.
google avatar

Ocean D.

Yelp
Overall, this place was a great time! As soon as you walk in, you get the vibe that this place is going for. Casual, but not classy: you know instantly that it's going to be good. The wait was a little long, but the staff apologized, and explained why. The food eventually came up, and they were massive! The food was great, and was overall a nice vibe. I was pleasantly surprised, we had a great time.
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
Best pizza in Jacksonville by far! I primarily eat here for lunch as it is in an easy location (across from target on San Jose) for friends to meet up. My favorite go to lunch is the lunch specials that is a slice, salad (I always choose the D'house salad) & a drink. When I'm really hungry I'll get an order of the bread sticks for the table. Love that everything is house made!
google avatar

Cheyenne S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, St. Louis Mayfair salad, absolutely delicious! Service is excellent as well!
google avatar

Alice F.

Yelp
We had a party of 6 and after a bit of a wait on a Monday night we were seated. I had the fish with Zucchini noodles and mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and was amazingly flavorful. One in our party was a vegetarian so her choices were limited but the others were also impressed with their food. I had only ever been for lunch and you cannot have a better deal and more delicious pizza! I'll go back for dinner again but just hope for less of a crowd!
google avatar

Camille G.

Yelp
Yes, a 5 star!!! Love everything about Picasso. The service, food and energy. The white pizza, desserts, etc are amazing. Cheese sticks, pasta dishes, all are yummy .... No, it's not super romantic, but it's wonderful and just GO!!

Robert C.

Yelp
Good food....pizza was good, the ribeye special was really good. The toasted ravioli was like what I remember from St. Louis.....the gooey butter cake was excellent. The one downside was the time it took to get our food....almost an hour. We will try it again.

P J.

Yelp
I heard good things about Picasso's so when in Jacksonville, I was craving chicken Parmesan and took my brother and sister-in-law to dinner. The chicken Parm itself was exactly what I craved, and the sauce was good but they wouldn't substitute the pasta. I don't care for wide pasta and their linguine was homemade starchy and lumpy. The Parmesan for the table came pre-ground from a restaurant supply store was not fresh Parmesan. The portions were spectacular, I will say that, and the salad was crisp and fresh. The bill was $165 for three people for that much. You expect the real deal Parmesan.
google avatar

Christian K.

Yelp
Went in for lunch and grabbed 2 slices and drink. It's very busy and with a full crowd it can be little noisy. It's easy to order and grab number to take at your table. They have a section to grab all your utensils and drinks in the middle. Everything coming from the behind the counter looks amazing. Really wish they would bring back their Pastrami sandwich.

Yelp
My wife and I have been wanting to eat at Picasso's for quite some time... However, every time we went, the wait was incredibly long, and the restaurant was incredibly packed. Usually, this is a good sign. So we finally decided it was time to give it a try. Long story short: I ordered Angel hair pasta in a pesto sauce with mushrooms. My dish comes, and the noodles are very clearly a Ramen noodle, and not angel hair. I hold it up for my wife to look at it and I ask her "Does this look like angel hair pasta to you?" She says it looks like Ramen. I take a bite, and the noodles are severely overcooked... A common mistake for people who are used to cooking pasta as opposed to Ramen noodles. A quick Google search for "angel hair pasta" showed that angel hair pasta is straight... like thin spaghetti... And not curled, like what was in my dish. So I posted to my friends online, asking them what kind of noodle they thought it was. Every single person said it was a Ramen noodle. See the accompanying pic and judge for yourself. The downside to all of this is that the staff at Picasso's tried to convince me that they make their angel hair pasta fresh in-house every day. That may be true, but what I got clearly wasn't angel hair pasta. Honestly, when it comes down to it, a noodle is a noodle. And I wouldn't have minded the Ramen in my Italian dish... It's just that when rice noodles are overcooked, which these clearly were, the texture is very gritty and not at all what you would expect from a good Italian-made angel hair pasta. Add to this, the noise inside the restaurant made it nearly impossible to hear the conversation of the person directly across from me, the smell of a burning sauce of some sort, causing people to sneeze and cough towards the end of our meal... and the $67 bill for 2 people....? Yeah. We won't be going back to Picasso's.
google avatar

Caroline E.

Yelp
I've been here a few times before but always love the food and service! This time we were so lucky and got seated immediately as usually we come in last minute with no reservations and it's super busy with a wait. The restaurant is smaller so it feels a little loud at times but the servers always know the menu super well and give great recommendations. This time I ended up getting a meatball sub which was huge and the bread had this amazing salty parmesan topping. We always try a dessert from here and this orange cake was delicious, it had a crunchy middle and the icing was so smooth. I love coming here and will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Jax and a word-of-mouth gem in Mandarin that I feel we sorta wanna keep hidden. The food is just SO divine that I cannot keep such an experience to myself. It wouldn't be right! We started with the New Orleans Shrimp appetizer and my goodness I even dipped my bread and fries in the tangy, slightly spicy sauce. Just so good! And then our entrees: husband had this "Big Boy" Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and I had this flaky, perfect fish with a crisp, miso crust along with lemon rice and bok choy. Food was absolutely delicious and seasoned so well!!! You can taste the love!
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
I first have to say our waitress, Nio was FANTASTIC!!!! She truly listens to what the customer wants and made spot on recommendations to boot! Next, the kitchen team who made the pizzas should be commended! They made mine PERFECT!!! I am not a fan of crispy crust. In fact, I like mine more on the gooey side. The waitress heard exactly what I wanted. She reiterated that to the team, and they made it truly perfection! And the flavor was outstanding! This pizza was truly won the best pizzas I've had in years!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Time for an update, the pizza salad and steaks are off the chain. The only reason I took it down a star was they have done away with the best Pastrami Sandwich in Jacksonville. I hope you can find a cost effective way to bring it back. Still great service and vibe!
google avatar

Tony F.

Yelp
There is no reason this place should not have five stars across the board. There is no steakhouse in Jacksonville that can compete with the ribeye or New York strip special. It was absolutely life-changing. Anytime they have a special you must get it! What an awesome experience we had here for date night. Our server Kevin amazing and professional. This is an absolute gem in all of Northeast Florida!
google avatar

Joseph L.

Yelp
Everything was excellent. Great service, great food and great ambiance. Gumbo was quality Pasta quality Stromboli quality Hamburger quality Salad qual... You get the idea Can't recommend this place enough.
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
We had the fried cheese to start which was okay, but very very greasy. We then shared the calzone or Stromboli (whichever one doesn't have ricotta) and asked for pepperoni and mushroom and our server let us know that the shape was wrong and asked if that was okay. we would have been none the wiser, so we of course said that was fine. There weren't prices of either the calzone or Stromboli on the menu, so we just went for it. It was pretty good and very filling even though we split it. We finished with the gooey butter cake which was good as well. Overall the price was very reasonable for an appetizer, calzone/Stromboli with 2 toppings, and dessert, around $25!
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great experience. Met friends for lunch @12:30. Good time to arrive bc open at 11:30 and tables are turning over. Had the cheeseburger and shrimp and grits. Both excellent. Came out quickly. Service wonderful. Very comfortable place -large booths, 2 and 4 top tables. Casual but high end food. Love these guys and their staff.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Picasso pizza is one of the best pizzas I have had in jax. You can order a pizza to go or sit down at their restaurant. I do recommend trying to get reservations as its always packs and wait times can be a bit long. Their menu offers different options like, fish plates, chicken and even steak.. they have a special that changes and their desserts are delicious!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Great ambiance and food. Love the St. Louis style pizza and salad options as well as fresh pasta items including many baked in the pizza oven. Make your reservation at least 24 hours in advance as no same day accepted, trust me you want to reserve ahead of time during peak hours. Keep it up, you have a great operation.
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
First time visitor and boy have I been missing out. Appys, we had the fried mozza sticks and the ravioli's. Yummy, fresh and hot. Cant ask for more. Good sauce too. Dinner, I had the NY strip steak special and the rest of the family had alfredo dishes. Steak cooked properly to my request and the pasta dishes were excellent portions and tasted delicious. Last piece of gooey butter cake was amazing. We will be back. Thank you.

Yelp
The Kitchen Sink and Mediterranean Pizzas were great! We carried out so not sure about restaurant service or environment. We did enjoy the pizza and the type of selections you can make!

Carrie E.

Yelp
I have been going to Picasso's for about 15 years and always thought it was one of the best eateries in Jacksonville - definitely the best Italian one. That said, there is not a lot of competition in Jacksonville. Nevertheless, Picasso's would have rated highly no matter where it was located. However, the last time I was there (a couple of months ago), there seemed to be a slight change which I could not put my finger on - it was just a little off. The food was still good, the service good and the ambiance the same but, somehow, it wasn't the same. I also noticed that there were fewer diners when, in the past at that time of day, I was lucky not to have to wait. Perhaps they had the same vibe as me. Was it sold?

What a great atmosphere. Not too crowded with tables and stuff. Clean and attractive. Service was outstanding. And all was with a smile - staff seemed happy to be there and seemed to be enjoying the day. Food was great. Pep pizza was delicious.

Yelp
It took over an hour for our food. When it was finely served, it didn't look fresh and seemed over cooked. Possibly sitting under a heating lamp?? I will not be returning any time soon. I am from up north and the Italian cuisine is much better.

Yelp
I was craving gumbo and this hit the spot! Got an Italian panini also but was to full so I took it home to my grateful son. The service is eclectic let's call it - could've been my Harris-Walz hat But I took a star awaybecause the apple gazpacho was not edible. Had there been a server asking we could've given that feedback. But that gumbo....grilled shrimp, tender sausage, and okra in the tastiest roux. Not spicy just flavorful. Honestly I'll have a hard time ordering anything else...(the panini was excellent as well)....

Yelp
I went to Picasso's restaurant last Saturday with my husband and daughter, and I ordered a built pasta (when you pick the pasta, the sauce, and the protein if you want). My choice was the penne with marinara sauce and shrimp, but the whole dish was awful: heavy and tasting like flour. The shape was not as penne, but something else. My experience was bad, the restaurant is pricey for no reason, and that's why I don't recommend Picasso's restaurant.
