I had the pleasure of dining here with my family last night, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was insanely delicious and the Caesar salad was made to perfection right in front of us. They made us all unique drinks just by asking a few different things that we like. What truly elevated this experience, was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Emilia made our outstanding Caesar salad while also taking care of other tables because my sister and I had seen her on TikTok before. She took the time to be so kind and wonderful. Our server Anna was incredibly kind and helpful. She made me a special mocktail and my family their own special drinks. She came to our table many times to make sure we were all set and didn’t need anything. She was completely outstanding and we loved talking to her. Rachel and all the other staff was just as amazing as they all stopped by our table to talk, Rachel was so sweet. Definitely the absolute best dining experience I have ever received alongside the amazing food.

The food and drinks were DIVINE. I originally found this place because I saw their table side Caesar Salad on TikTok. I went by myself and was seated by the window. The waitress was amazing!! She’s so sweet and personable. Will be coming back for sure. 100/10 recommend! Everything was so good, I wish my entree photo saved so I could’ve added it. But, everything was so good!

My friend John and I were in Manchester March 28 for the NCAA hockey tournament. We had just left SNHU Arena after Boston College defeated Bentley University, and were looking for a place to eat at 7:15 p.m. on a Friday night. We had no reservations but happened to walk into Piccola Italia where we saw that the place was full. We asked if we could be seated, and were told yes, not only that, but the best seat in the house was open right next to the front window. Our waitress was amazing. I ordered Haddock Oreganata, which was baked haddock filet in a lemon butter wine sauce topped with herbs and panko served over broccoli risotto. John had a similar dish but with Salmon and an asparagus risotto. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great too. Nobody cared that we were dressed in college hoodies and jeans. I highly recommend Piccola Italia to anyone looking for a great meal in Manchester, NH.

Amazing! Tony our serve was amazing, so full of energy and funny. He helped us with suggestions and let me tell you, THEY WERE THE BEST! We got the Fried Ravioli as an app, I got the Chicken Parm and my husband got the Vodka Alla Burrata with Chicken.

Love the experience here. Went there for a Sunday lunch. Very peaceful environment. And mainly thanks to the Chef Mr.Carlo. He checked on us throughout our dining. The food was very authentic. We tried mussels scampi, Chicken Marsala, Amarticiana, Oysters and the beautiful Tiramisu. I’d rate my experience a 10/10. Will definitely come back.

I hate to leave a review that’s not good to a small business but this was hands down the worst Alfredo I’ve had! Including frozen bagged meals purchased from the supermarket. The photo I’ve included was after I stirred the meal to see if any sauce was hopefully hiding at the bottom of the container. (It wasn’t) So no sauce whatsoever on the noodles. The noodles themselves were vastly overcooked and turned into mush. But the broccoli was undercooked. The reason for the two stars was the chicken was pretty decent. Really was bummed and sad by this meal. You know the let down when you’re just craving something and then when you get it, it’s awful?? Hopefully it was just a bad night, but still a let down to get such an awful meal for 24$ plus tip.

Google
Food was excellent! Kitchen was amazing about working with dietary restrictions. Atmosphere was clean and beautiful, though the music selection was a little cheesy but on theme for Italian I guess. Server was kind of eccentric and at times almost argumentative about personal preferences. He was nice enough but just a little much at times. I would probably go back but my wife probably wouldnt, based on waitstaff alone. Overall it was a really good meal and a good experience. Certainly well worth 4 stars.

Google
The food was AMAZING. Everyone in our group of 8 loved their meals and the whole experience. We can’t commend our server, Tony was AWESOME! He had an amazing passion and felt like one of the family. He was engaging, funny and was probably the BEST server any of us ever interacted with. Our kids took us out for a father’s day dinner, and it was truly the best dining experiences EVER!👍👍👍👍👍

Yelp
Tony thank you for serving as well as entertaining us! Everything was delizioso! The meatballs, sausage, oysters and shrimp were perfection. Would post more pictures but we gobbled everything up faster than I could pull out my phone. Chef's kiss!

Yelp
Table side Caesar Salad is the best, the staff are amazing, warm, welcoming and always glad to see us

Yelp
I visited here on June 2 2025 based off reviews + I needed Italian food tonight. Wow! I had the fried mozzarella and the steak tips with homemade fettuccine. The service was promt, considerate, and the food was perfection!

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, and fabulous drinks! Everything was so good we went two days in a row. Awesome prices. The owner stopped and talked to us as well! All around best place to eat!

Yelp
After hearing people talk about this place we decided to go. Big mistake. When you order haddock, it should NOT smell fishy. Oh, it did, and tasted fishy. So did the rissoto it was served with. The Gemelli was over done and tough to chew. The entire dish was flavorless.

Yelp
What an absolutely amazing experience at piccola!!! Me and my friend were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch after an event at the double tree. We saw the restaurant across the way and said why not! My goodness it did not disappoint!! The food was delicious! Perfectly priced and cooked to perfection!! The food looked amazing didn't get a chance to get a picture but we ordered a few appetizers all so so good! The mussels, beef arancini, and calamari. WOW out of this world! The service was absolutely incredible !! The bartender Anna was so wonderful and inviting! Multitasking and absolutely killing it! The best espresso martinis!! We got to meet Carlos, Marva, and Steve as well all so kind and welcoming! After our experience here yesterday, we will be lifelong guests!! You have found your new favorite place!! Perfect ambiance for either a casual lunch, or a romantic date night!! Really all around just a little gem

Yelp
What a beautiful evening with a great variety of satisfying Italian food! We practically had the place to ourselves. We came with a large group toward the end of the evening. Checked to be sure we weren't going to need to hurry. We were told in the sweetest Italian accent; "You made it in, enjoy your dinner!" Every moment was special. Thank you.

Yelp
This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Great services and I make a special trip to have their table side prepared Caesar Salad. It is made the way it should be and is AWESOME! You will come back for the food and service.

Yelp
Did not accept a gift certificate that was $50. they said it was a new owner. gift certificates do not expire in NH. They are a debt purchased in the price of the new business keeping the name . feel free to ask for my address as to make this right. the waitress snickering when leaving was uncalled for which is why the tip was erased! It was a gift for my ailing mother and she couldn't go at the time, retirement gift. We found it going through her things and selling her house. Bars make at least a 400% mark up. You should have accepted it and said sorry for your loss.

Yelp
what a lovely restaurant in manchester NH. Our server was so nice and the food was delicious. it happened that my hubby left his charge card there and realized it the next day. When he called they were so nice and he drove all the way back from boston to get it. The pasta putenesca and caesar salad were outstanding and i also enjoyed the cauliflower parm. We would drive from Boston to have dinner there again. Even the Manager at the door was so welcoming. A true gem in NH. We sat at a window table and enjoyed the ambience as well.

Yelp
I can't say enough about the food and service provided by Carlo and the rest of the Piccola staff. We ordered over $1k worth of food for my son's adoption party. It was ready when they said it would be and it's was fresh out of the oven. Carlo loaded it in my truck and we made it to the party as guests were arriving. Everyone raved about the food, especially the chicken parm, meatballs, sausages/peppers and tortellini Alfredo. I can't thank Carlo enough and highly recommend Piccola for a family party or corporate function. 10 out of 10 across the board!!!

Yelp
We had a great dinner at Piccola Italia. We ordered carbonara with spaghetti and pesto with the fresh fettuccine. Both were excellent. Several of the pasta dishes are available with fresh handmade noodles (penne, fettuccine, and angel hair), which was excellent. I also had a single-size caesar salad (not the large version that they make at table-side), and it was also excellent, with great dressing, loads of very tasty Parmesan and good bread cubes. It was not super crowded on a rainy Monday night, and we were seated in the front window seats with great people-watching opportunities. The service was also top-notch, and the whole dinner was very reasonably priced. Also had very good crème brûlée. Overall, we would strongly recommend; you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
came all the way from Boston and it was worth the trip. If you go ask for Jennie. Tell her Pat from Boston sent you PS... Get the table side Caesar salad...it's unbelievable Pat Frangolini

Yelp
The new owner is why we won't be returning. He's changed the menu to the point that the food's just not as enjoyable and the waitress we had was very sweet but terrible! She forgot 2 of the items we ordered and didn't tell us about an extra charge for something. The front desk children have zero customer etiquette, with the exception of one being very friendly and professional. We used to really love Picola.

Yelp
Came back after 3 years for my Birthday and it did not feel the same to me. Of course, things have changed post covid. I really give this a 3.5 stars and feel so bad as the owner is sweet and really works hard but I have to stay honest to yelpers. Location is on a main street with parking on street or garage down road for .75/hr from 8a-8p. They take reservations. A few tables outside in front. We started with warm rolls that were delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were lovely and priced at 8.99. I had the chicken lorena stuffed with lobster meat, spinach, and Swiss cheese. Baked with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes in a sherry wine sauce. It was placed on homemade linguine. Price 32.00. I rated this 3/5 and would not recommend this to anyone. There appeared to be a breading on it that was soaked and falling off. The sauce was basically soup consistency. The flavor was so so. Not unpalatable just dissapointing. The mushrooms seemed like they were from a can. They did put a good amount of lobster meat inside with bland flavor. Price point on higher side maybe probably because of lobster. My husband absolutely loved his chicken parm. 5/5. Large chicken breast that could feed two people. He enjoyed the marinara. Inside decor outdated and ambience just fell flat for me on this visit. No offer of cracked pepper or grated Parm.

Yelp
We found this gem by accident but a great accident. Our nursing school class chose Piccola's for our 55th reunion. We were only 16 people but this place was perfect for us. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy and Carlos and his waitstaff were outstanding. They went above and beyond to make a special afternoon even more special. In fact, one of the lovely waitstaff got up on a chair to take pictures for us and she even edited the pictures and sent them to us the next day! Exceptional! Our only complaint was that Carlos could not reroute the marathon route making getting to Piccola's difficult to get to. Next time we will make sure that there is no marathon. To be sure we will be recommending Piccola's . Well done! SJHSON Class of 1969 By the way you only received 5 stars because they don't offer 6!

Yelp
Great Italian!!! Pasta is fresh! Drinks are amazing! Service was great considering they were busy

Hillary W.

Yelp
It was a quiet Wednesday night. I wanted to have a nice dinner and read my book. Dinner was so good, scallops were cooked perfect and the pasta in vodka sauce was not heavy at all. I Ali had a nice Cesar side salad. I look forward to coming back and trying some of their other dishes.

Chris M.

Yelp
Tried this place recently and I've got to say, it's definitely worth the hype. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and had that perfect balance between a crispy crust and a soft, chewy center. You can tell they care about their ingredients. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was chill

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and we loved it! We had a reservation but we didn't need it since there was no one in there eating. Our server was very kind and the food was great!
google avatar

Joy T.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great experience here. They have fresh pastas everyday and cooked to al dente. My husband got the Frutti di mare and I got the Scallops with vodka sauce and fresh fettuccine. It's a nice romantic place to go on a date or even if you just want to get a little dressed up to go out to someplace classy. Our waitress was very quick to order and took her time to check on us even though it was getting busy

Marie S.

Yelp
Salads came to the table within seconds of the entree arriving at the table. Waitress blamed it on the kitchen. Manager came to the table and started an argument. Bad service. Bad attitude from staff.

Sally J.

Yelp
Another amazing meal and dining experience!!! The home made noodles make their meals stand out. We were there in Manchester, NH for only a week, but we kept going back and they made us feel like family'.

Melissa E.

Yelp
We use to love this place, what happened? Is there a new owner? Food was terrible - had no taste! No more fresh Parm either it's in a shaker! Won't be returning, which is so disappointing. I'm gonna miss the food we use to get there!

Serena C.

Yelp
Went there for lunch today, food was delicious! Warm rolls, dipping oil, my friend had the homemade shrimp corn chowder ( the special soup of the day) she said it was delicious! I had chicken Marsala and she had fettuccine Alfredo. It was fantastic! We ate outside because it was beautiful out. Server was lovely, and the chef came out and asked if everything was good! It was so nice talking with him! We were impressed! Definitely going back!

Yelp
Atmosphere is charming. Definitely make an reservation or go early . Parking on street can be challenging. Waitress was very attentive and didn't feel rushed on a Saturday night . Warm yummy rolls which they replaced without asking. Ordered the side table Caesar salad which is made to your liking . Delish! Had the pasta of the day and was splendid full of flavor and fresh. Finished with the lava cake and cappuccino perfect way to end a meal! Prices are reasonable and portions plenty. Will be back when in area for sure!

Yelp
Best mean we've had in a VERY long time Authentic, homemade. Great atmosphere. Will def be back

Yelp
This place has really taken a nose dive for the past 18 months. When 5 entrees come out 10-12 minutes after you order and you are still on the apps, somthing is wrong. They also dont take any the gift certificates that were purchased before the new owners took over. That alone is a deal breaker. Really sad as we loved this place.

Amber B.

Yelp
Great authentic italian food that will change your life for the better. I sleep better knowing that this place actually exists. Thank you to all the workers here who have made my italian dreams come alive. I always leave this place dazzled. STAY BLESSED.

Yelp
I really love Piccola, but yesterday's visit was such a letdown. We made a reservation two weeks ahead and specifically requested a certain person ( the lady from Egypt) to make our table Caesar salad when we called. We drove an hour and a half to get there, only to find out that the person we wanted wasn't working. So, I kindly asked our server for the Caesar salad table, which was the whole reason for our visit, and he said he was too busy to make it! SERIOUSLY? The food there is usually so good. I just hope the owner reads this (if you have something on the menu, you should have it available for customers). I still won't give it just 2 stars because I do love Piccola.

Yelp
We were seated at a table two burnt dinner rolls in a basket. The should have been a sign to leave. We ordered calamari, fried in some dark oil. Not crisp and lightly breaded. Dinner, I had linguine w/clams which was great, the bride had chicken piccata. Chicken was dry and the add ins were varied, not simple capers. Flavorless. The redeemer was the waiter, Richard, I believe, enjoyable and the restaurant was not crowded so it was easy to converse.

Karmin M.

Yelp
Very disappointing. A lot of money for just ok food. Service was slow. Although my husband and I both ordered drinks at the same time, mine came 20 minutes after his. Our server asked if my husband wanted his pasta to be penne or linguini instead. She did not tell us that there was an up charge for linguini. When I brought it up to her, she said, "but I told you it was fresh linguini." She ended up apologizing and saying she did neglect to mention the charge, but didn't take it off. With all the restaurants on this street, just walk past this one.

Holly S.

Yelp
We used to love Piccola's, it was our favorite Went for Mother's Day and it was just awful. Aside from the extremely high prices, the new owners seem to have changed the marina sauce. We've had better store-bought sauce for sure. We ordered calamari and it was so soggy, it was uneditable. I ordered veal parmesan with angel hair. The pasta was so overcooked, it was mushy. I asked for it to be replaced with penne. A nice gentleman from the kitchen brought the penne out to me and apologized. He explained that someone put it in the pot and left it in too long; probably shouldn't have served it, just saying. We should have gone to The Olive Garden. Sadly, we won't be back to Piccola's.

Michelle K.

Yelp
It had been years since we had been there and the food was fantastic so we figured we would go back. I had a bad feeling when we walked in at around 7 on a Saturday evening and the place was empty, I should have trusted my gut and left then but of course didn't! Instead ended up paying over $200 for food that could be best compared to hospital cafeteria food! It was terrible! Not one person in our party cared for the food , mine was so bad I could not even eat it and still paid for it. Extremely disappointing!

Yelp
Instead of taco Tuesday we decided to go for something different... Italian! We didn't need any reservations for our 5:30pm dinner. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and gave us time to decide what we wanted. I did remark at one point during our meal, that service was leisurely, probably because they wanted to give us time to relax and enjoy our evening out, and not disturb us, and give us time to contemplate why our service was so leisurely? We had mussels with marinara sauce, complimentary dinner rolls, chicken Marsala and butternut squash ravioli. Our favorite for the evening.... dinner rolls! Warm, toasty, balls of crusty, chewy bread. The mussels were in a chunky tomato and onion sauce, not too fancy. Though we did eat all the mussels, it won't be my go to appetizer. I love ravioli and I wanted something for the season, so butternut squash would be perfect! I wasn't 100% sure of the cinnamon, but the description called for "a touch" of cinnamon, so I gave it a try. The ravioli was mixed with small pieces of chicken and pancetta in a frangelico cream sauce. In retrospect, I would have preferred a savory vs sweet dish. Both the chicken and pancetta was overwhelmed by the cream sauce with more than a hint of cinnamon and didn't have much flavor. The raviolis were either too thick or too el dente for my liking and the filling bland. All the flavoring went into the too thick cream sauce better suited for dessert. The Marsala had more of a delicate flavor to it, not very robust. The chicken and mushrooms cooked nicely, but again not a lot of flavor. I did consider dessert, but at the rate our dinner was going, I didn't want to disappoint myself. Would we want to go back? Probably not, considering I'm donating my leftovers.

Yelp
I took my family to this restaurant while on vacation to New Hampshire for skiing. My family enjoyed their meals. I ordered their Sicilian Stew over pasta. The dish has large pieces of pork and sausage in it, and the flavor was fine. However one larger piece of sausage and another chunk of pork were very cold on just one side while being warm on the other side. I can't imagine how that would happen unless they reheated the stew part in the microwave. I brought it to the waitress's attention and she said she would inform the manager. We didn't see the waitress again until the check and the manager never stopped by. I was very disappointed with the restaurant, and I will not go there again.

Yelp
WORST!!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Celebrating my wifes birthday. No manager present, they over reserved the restaurant and we waited an additional 40 mins for a 6:30 reservation. The host was very friendly and was doing his very best and I appreciated that. We finally got seated and had Amelia. We have had Amelia before and to be honest she was horrible that last time. Well, good news she did not disappoint. We sat there for 10 mins at the table with only a table cloth and was given water glasses and plates. Amelia arrived and asked if we wanted anything to drink, I ordered a ginger ale and then she my wife is she wanted a salad ( we had not even ordered anything yet ). I'm glad she asked my wife is she wanted a salad because she did not offer me one. We wait another 15 mins before she took our order. She said she would bring us bread....she did not bring us bread, I had to ask for it(last time we saw her until the check). Food came out but only Elizabeth's Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken and my Chicken Parmigiana followed 5 minutes later . The pasta water was not drained fully and the sauce was put on so it was watery...watery and gross. Amelia didn't check on us, didn't offer me another ginger ale...didn't offer us more bread....didn't offer me more cheese........ She finally came at the end we asked for 2 boxes, no dessert offered........remember we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Got the check and paid. On the way out I voiced how horrible the experience was and to the hosts credit he genuinely felt horrible. He offered me a dessert but we were way pass that. Scott

Yelp
I placed an order for 2 crème brûlée desserts through Uber Eats. I received 1 crème brûlée. Called restaurant, explained the situation. Very apologetic and credited me the amount. Did offer to send it out, but I declined. They fixed their mistake. The crème brûlée was very good.

Yelp
Piccola is an excellent reminder that the classics done well never go out of style. It's an old school type of Italian restaurant; be prepared to wait a bit for courses but when they arrive they're consistent and delicious. Prices were very reasonable; my partner and I both had $40 bills with an entree, shared salad, and glass of wine. Don't skip on the tableside Caesar salad service!
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Amelia is the best!! She makes the best espresso martini I've ever had. The salads prepared at table side are to die for. Servers are always friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for date night.

Yelp
The food was perfect. Seriously good food. The staff looked either bored or stressed. But I would overlook the less than professional service and return.

Mackenzie C.

Yelp
I came here tonight for a night out with the girls and was extremely disappointed in the result. Our reservation was for 630 we got in immediately but a server did not greet us for at least 15 minutes. We ordered a bottle of wine and a martini, the bottle came immediately but the martini didn't arrive until we had nearly finished the bottle. Mind you the place was hardly at half capacity at this point. Our server gave us a great show with the salad side salad and that was about the only positive thing about this experience. When our food finally arrived, nearly an hour an 20 into the dinner the chicken was beaten so thin it was dry but the breading was soggy and it tasted like day old Chinese food, the fettuccine looked fresh but the dish over all was disgusting. LASTLY, we ordered two mixed drinks that were hardly drinkable there was so much liquor in it. I waited just til the check came to speak up and thankfully the manager took the meal off but only after I denied his offer for a meal card for my next visit. Myself and my group were extremely disappointed in this entire experience and will certainly not be coming back. Fettuccine AlfredoCaesar Salad

Yelp
My husband and I have gone To Piccola on New Year's Eve for almost 10 years now. This year we went and the entire experience was awful. It made me Sad. First of all we did not have a server. Some nice server took pitty on us after almost 30 Mins and said I guess I will take you. She took our drink and appetizer order. Came with apps a few mins later but we still waiting for drinks. She gave in and made our drinks. Took our food order and we waited and waited. It came out and was not the quality I know piccola to be at all. In fact it tasted like it was Reheated if you eat Alfredo then you know. Also forgot to mention this is the first year they were only offering a limited menu which was also a bit of a bummer. But hoped what We decided on would be good because of it. Anyway the entire experience made us sad and a bit mad. Reservation was made a month ahead and it really was not that busy compared to years past.

Craig J.

Yelp
Most excellent!!! Nice decor and ambiance. Waitress was fantastic. (Shalynne??) The stuffed mushrooms were great. Gnocchi del piedmont was very tasty. The carbonara was stupendous with house made fettuccine. Cocktails were expertly made. Highly recommend this restaurant. A true gem.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Average food for higher price, would recommend other places with same ambiance for cheaper price

Yelp
It was my first time here and wasn't impressed. I started at the bar to grab a cocktail before my party arrived, which ended up being an overpriced, watered-down Manhattan. Being from LA, I'm used to spending $15+ for cocktails, but this was not worth it. I attempted to close out twice so I could get to the table, but the bartender seemed occupied with something else completely. There were only two people at the bar, and I was one of them, so not really sure what the delay was about. Next up, the food. Just meh. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which I hoped was a safe bet, but I was wrong. The chicken was under-seasoned, the sauce had an odd sugary tang to it, and the pasta was overdone. I would have given this place at least a three-star if it weren't for our waitress. She definitely seemed like someone who has worked there for a long time but had zero interest in giving us the time of day. If you weren't waving her down or making direct eye contact, she would take someone's beer/wine order across your table, and run off to the bar before you had a chance to tell her what you wanted. I didn't order a single glass of wine our entire dinner. Oh well, their loss.

Richard O.

Yelp
We love Italian food and especially enjoy a good Caesar salad. We've had the table side Caesar salad here before . However, the last three times we've been and have tried to order it, we've been told "we're not doing them tonight because it's too busy". If it's on the menu and you can't consistently offer it, remove it from the menu. We also got the chicken gemelli with the fresh pasta. The stuffed chicken coating was overcooked and the sauce was not very good. The service was slow. We are loyal customers but something is off and we couldn't overlook the multiple issues.

Danielle C.

Yelp
Not good. Food was dry and bland. Maybe I had too high of expectation but myself and my party were extremely disappointed. Our server was kind, and well mannered but service was very slow.
