We tried this restaurant for our anniversary and found the concept a bit confused. Our server Ümit was very friendly and knew the menu but a bit too chatty, overly tentative, I believe it was because we were his only table that night. If he doesn’t break the bubble he would be great! The trio of mezes presentation was confused to a seafood platter or something. I’ve never seen mezes served over ice at 70 degree weather outside with raw vegetables as decor. A bit exaggerated, if the mezes are good, all that is really not necessary :). We ordered a shakahuka hummus, cold and warm on same plate interesting but good. Lahmacun was a 10! Thin dough right amount of beef and cooked to perfection! The Vali Kababı (mayor’s kebab) unfortunately was not upto specs chicken was the best thing on that mix and the most important thing is salt and all the dishes need salt and I usually use less or no salt. Adana was not firm enough the meat was not seasoned correctly and was loose, came out cold and was not spicy at all. The desert presentation was overly entertaining with sparklers and dry ice which I feel a bit tacky, it takes away from the quality and elegance. I would much prefer a perfectly fresh made and served profiterole with a gentle acknowledgement of the occasion. It was just too much. The profiteroles had ice cream filling and the puff was not fresh. Breads were so hard for a oven they have I suggest to pre-bake and bake per order a la minute. Decor, menu and music were in their all different worlds not aligned. Music Miami wise club lounge style, menu Middle Eastern, decor felt like amazons with leopard patterns and salsa feeling? The indoor dining room feels too much! It was like a confused bride’s wedding salon. Bathrooms has no indicator on the door other than a red feather to understand it’s womens’. Also very slipshod. After seeing the energy spent for the decor in the dining room you’d expect a bit more love for the bathrooms. Overall we had a good experience but just ok. There is definitely room for improvement considering its a new place. I hope they take my comment constructively and friendly :)
