" , the allergy-friendly restaurant Picnik is now open at the Montrose Collective. Although the refined sugar-free, seed oil-free, peanut-free, and gluten-free food at this casual spot unfortunately costs money, the place  does serve all-day brunch as well as sandwiches, tacos, and salads. And don’t worry: you can add adaptogens to that." - Chelsea Thomas

"Picnik, a restaurant focused on conscious ingredients and a better-for-you drink program, is opening its first outpost in Montrose on April 24. The Austin-based concept, started by Naomi Seifter, aims to create dishes without refined sugar, seed oils, gluten, or peanuts. The menu includes lunch, dinner, and all-day brunch options with dishes like the Spring Hash and Picnik Benedict. Picnik also features a unique beverage program with cocktails, zero-proof sips, sustainable wines, gluten-free beer, local cider, and hard kombucha." - Megha McSwain

My favorite food was probably the chicken strips! Probably the best gluten free chicken strips I have ever had! Drinks were good, but pricing is a bit on the high side for portions or food & beverages. The cashew queso was pretty salty in my opinion, but it was the first time I have had cashew queso, so it just may be a salty item & I am not aware. I really wanted to love this spot since I follow a gluten free diet, but unfortunately I do not believe we would return really soon unless that was the only safe food available in the area or they changed up their menu significantly. If you follow a gluten free diet I would say give it a try, but prepare to overpay.

Google
This is a nice place a lot of gluten. Free options for you to eat. entire location is good and pretty. Including the bread. Full bar of liquor and some happy hours that went on, and they even have gluten free beer from colorado, which was very good.

First of all the restaurant and its location are very pretty and modern but I wish the food had lived up to the expectations created by the location. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We ordered The Farmhouse Breakfast, the Harvest Hash and French Toast. The harvest hash was more on the sweet side than savory so much so it tasted like a dessert. Too much maple syrup maybe. The Farmhouse Breakfast was ok. The French Toast had a strange sour tang that didn’t really work. I would recommend their Americano and Rooibus Chai. Overall a bit of a disappointment considering the price of the meal hence the 4 stars.

Google
Let me begin by saying the service was excellent. I was disappointed in the taste of the cashew queso after reading the reviews on how good it was. I didn’t think it had any flavor at all. I did like the smooth, creamy consistency. I ordered the loaded smashed fries as my entrée and added crispy chicken. It was phenomenal! All the flavors went together so well and the chicken was delicious. I liked it so much, I went back the next day and ordered it again. The Southern Charm was my libation of choice. The taste was out of this world good!!! It was so delicious…tart and slightly sweet. With that being said, it was a big disappointment due to the amount of drink they actually give you. It comes with a huge square ice cube in it, which makes the glass look full, but when you remove the ice cube there was literally an inch of drink in my glass for $14!!! I was not a happy customer. I asked my server about it and she said that’s how it comes. Unfortunately I will never order the drink again, but will be back for the food.

Google
Came here right after they opened and it was a fantastic experience and meal. Everything they offer is gluten and allergy free so you can feel good about eating good food! Their matcha and butter coffees are delicious. We orders their guac, burger and the salmon. Everything was 10/10. Can’t wait to come back and try their brunch!

Google
Very expensive, bad quality, and small portions. Bibimbap was tiny, and the steak ($12 upcharge) was fatty and extremely overcooked. Shocking $30+ for this crummy showing. The $21 version is just rice with slivers of additional veggies and an egg. Fun fact: notice how a single egg covers most of the dish. Very aggressive to charge soooo much for such small and underwhelming food and wildly disrespectful to its customers (of which there were not many on a Friday at lunch). Service was super slow, especially for a weekday lunch.

Google
I made a reservation, when we arrived the table was ready. The super chic place, good atmosphere and pleasant spaces. Staff quite attentive, friendly and willing to help, Debra O was our excellent server. The service was somewhat slow, there was only one person at the bar, at the food as well. The Grass Fed Burger was very good, I liked the fresh potatoes. The carne asada tacos were not so good, the tortilla seemed old, it broke all over. The drinks were delicious, my favorite was the Pitaya Margarita. I feel like the place is a bit overpriced. The prices are similar to a fancy restaurant and the place is nice but more relaxed. You can do valet parking or park in the paid parking lot. The restaurant offers ticket validation, which I thought was excellent.

Google
A nice place for brunch. Very cool and chill vibe. The food here is good however, the service wasn't good. The server messed up our order several times. We tried - 1. Taco bowl with tofu- it was filling and really good but tofu wasbt good. You can avoid tofu. 2. Avocado toast. - it was okay because the avocado didn't taste fresh but not bad either. 3. Vanilla latte- this was also fine. Overall the place is good for brunch and not so crowded but almost full on Sunday afternoons. Also, they have free valet parking. It's located at Montrose collective which gives an aesthetic vibe.

Yelp
Closed down! and nothing that stated so. Wasted a drive and tired kids looking for good options.

Juliet H.

Yelp
Gluten-free eating that doesn't skimp on the flavor-- I can dig it! Picnik was delicious and a great choice for a healthy lunch. The breakfast tacos with almond flour tortillas and the sweet potatoes were excellent. The hubs' Medi rice was great as well. I tried the gin based, hard cherry limeade and loved it! Service was friendly and attentive also. All in all, it was a 5-star lunch experience and I'm looking forward to stopping back by to try the brunch.

Yelp
New and modern decor. The whole complex is a fairly new multi use area. There was live music in the garden area during our visit. The food is very good. Sustainable, organic, vegan friendly menu. We had the guacamole appetizer, followed by fish tacos, and Cobb salad, All the food was simple, not fancy, but fairly tasty. The food could have been warmer. It was not cold, but for sure not piping hot. It wasn't crowded at the time, so the service was quick, and friendly. I would like to go back, try some other menu items, and also explore the whole complex of shops and restaurants.

Brittney D.

Yelp
So, picnik was ok. I dig their intention- thoughtful sourcing, vegan-optional, add adaptogens if you'd like. I must share that this was my second visit but first successful-- the first time I came and sat at the bar ready to do a task and eat, no one came to serve me. So, I left, unfed. This time, service was very nice but also slow. These were different times of day and days of the week. All that to say, maybe get a table and see how service goes for you? As for the food: it was pretty good. Not bad, not amazing. A server shared that they're working on an improved happy hour soon so I'd come back once more to check it out.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Vibe- Cute spot in Montrose Collective! There's a lot of spots to sit outside and a good amount of seating inside. My favorite seating area is by the bar, there are 18 wooden barstools and plenty of space :) Happy hour is from 4pm-6pm everyday. Customer service- Amazing! I was greeted multiple times when I walked in. Food/drinks- I got the veggie tacos and cashew queso on the happy hour menu to eat and a hard cherry limeade to drink! Parking- There's a parking garage right by the restaurant that I parked in. I paid about $8 for almost 3 hours of parking in the garage.

Nicol N.

Yelp
The salad was surprisingly very flavorful! I came here with a free girl friends for lunch and we were all happy with our meals! We shared a Brussels sprout appetizer which was very delicious! Don't be fooled by the photos, the food is very tasty. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Cute restaurant for lunches.

Alexandra P.

Yelp
So happy to finally have Picnik in Houston! We came on their opening day on Monday and also came back on Wednesday. Not completely packed on either day but always good to make a resy just in case! My absolute favorite thing to get here is the brussels sprouts. The maple drizzle and bacon are the perfect combo of sweet and salty. Truly some of the best tasting brussels around. Coming in second place is their guacamole with the almond flour chips. I mean talk about FRESH guacamole. They are doing guacamole better than any mexican joint I know of. I am not sure how they are doing this!!!??? Last night we tried the loaded smashed potatoes. I was skeptical about the cashew queso but the flavors really work well together. For my entree we split the cobb salad. This has to be the best salad around. The blue cheese is amazing and all the vegetables are as fresh as they can be. Special shout out to the pitaya margaritas here as well. Cute drink + amazing flavor. This is already becoming our new go to spot in the area. If you want great food that also keeps you feeling great after you eat it THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! :)

Mariah M.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant in the Montrose collective. There's a parking garage which is SOOO GREAT. Finding parking in montrose is hard and stressful so this really made the experience a lot better. Everyone was so friendly and our waitress was very attentive. I tried the butter cappuccino and it wasn't really my vibe, but the Oaxacan mock tail was great. Breakfast was pretty standard taste wise. The restaurant is a good size and the patio deck is too. I'd highly recommend trying them out!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Loved my experience here! I have been looking to try more conscious food choices in the city and this stood out because everything is gluten free! First off, Stephanie and Ezra were top tier! Very helpful and attentive. Wanted to shout them out for sure. We sat at the bar as it was a lazy and very rainy Sunday around 5. Business did seem slow but started to pick up as we were leaving. I liked it very much this way. Compared to some places in Houston, it's becoming crowded and you can just have a nice easy dinner with your family! This was great. We had the cashew queso and the crispy Brussels for an app. The Brussels!!!! Chefs KISS! So so good. I should have ordered some to go. Nearly licked the plate! The cashew queso was very original and my daughter loved it. I would get it again as well. Their chips were also baked to perfection. For food, very cool they have an all day breakfast menu. My daughter got French toast and I got the fish tacos. FT was so so good and thick! Doesn't come with sides so consider that. My fish tacos were at mkt pricing so beware you ask if you want to know before hand. Very very very good. The beans and rice come on the taco plate and I at them up as well. Didn't have drinks on this visit, just water but they looked to have a well stocked full bar. Several other people were having drinks at the bar so I'm assuming they were good! Two TVs at the bar but the restaurant itself was sooo cute! The color scheme was well thought out and I love the pastels and light wood. Will definitely return when I'm in the area! My daughter said the same

Shatoyia N.

Yelp
This was such a cute place. I had a mimosa which I felt like the glass could have been a little fuller. I forgot to take a picture of our food but we had the farmer's breakfast and tacos. I would like to visit on the weekend to try the full brunch menu. The service was great...our waitress was a doll!

Christopher Z.

Yelp
Went here with some friends after we had some trouble getting a table at a nearby place! It was pretty open, but the interior was nice and the service was solid. We got a mix of cocktails, wine, and appetizers. While the drinks were good, it did take a while to get them considering there weren't many people there. The cocktails were especially good and I would recommend trying one of those! My girlfriend got a drink with mezcal that was a pink and was delicious! The food was good but left something to be desired. For example, we got some queso that was good but came out cold. We asked twice if they could heat it up, which our waitress was nice enough to do but the first time it seemed to come back colder but the second time it was heated up. She was very apologetic and made sure to give us a refill on chips when we ran out. Overall it was decent enough but feel like you may find some better and cheaper options nearby.

Jacob W.

Yelp
Never been before, but I had time to kill. I sat at the bar, and Jamie was so charming, kind and informative. She sold me on the butter coffee as she was telling me what some of her favorites are - and the Mayan Mocha was stellar. I had the "Loaded" Smashed Potatoes, and the flavor was great. The Cilantro Crema and the No Sugar Bacon are the stars of that show, for sure. I noticed her making someone else a Pitaya Margarita, and it was so beautiful that I asked her what it was and ordered mine immediately. It's maybe the best margarita I've ever had. At the end, she'd written "Happy Birthday" on my receipt, and I'd already forgotten that we'd talked about that. She was great, and the overall experience was wonderful! Highly recommend!

Ayesha W.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch was nice and casual. I thought there were more menu items from what I saw online but I must have been looking at the Austin menu. We were seated promptly as we had a reservation. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and Keri fried rice to share and I got the steak and eggs for my entree. Brussels sprouts and fried rice were delicious, the steak and eggs wasn't great but wasn't bad. The drinks are what excel here. You must try the passion fruit lemonade and the hibiscus mint drink did not disappoint. Service could have been a little better as there were several times we had to waive someone over.

Ashley W.

Yelp
This place has a cute little open air vibe. It sits on the corner and is quite large, bright and airy inside. There is also outdoor sitting. You can get everything from tacos, burgers, salad and salmon. There is a full bar but not many signature cocktails. The Pitaya Margarita was a beautiful shade of fuchsia and delicious. I got the Sustainable Salmon with rice and beans. The salmon was a tad bit too salty for my taste. I also indulged my sweet cravings and got the Raspberry Cheesecake which was absolutely delightful. I would recommend it! I did have to inquire about my waiter after waiting for about 12 minutes after being seated but the service did improve after that. There's street parking...may the parking gods be with you. Otherwise there is complementary valet parking on the opposite side of the restaurant. If I do return, I would like to try the Cashew Queso

Karen D.

Yelp
Came here on several occasions. They validate valet for 90min. I enjoyed the mocktails, and they have free refills on some of them. My fave is the dragonfruit one. Their alcoholic version of the drink (a margarita) is fantastic as well. Highly recommend their Brussels sprouts. Overall, they practice a healthy dietary approach. Service is friendly. They have patio and indoor seating.

Annie B.

Yelp
Very good overall experience! Pros: the smashed potato appetizer was sooo good. I will definitely be coming back specifically for this dish. My fish tacos were also very yummy! I did have half of my tacos left and ate them the next day and they were still pretty good reheated. Cons: a bit expensive for certain items. My mocktail ended up being more than the appetizer. The sustainable salmon was also undercooked. If the salmon was cooked more thoroughly it would have been a great dish! Overall: would definitely go back and try a few more dishes and their cocktails!

Elaine D.

Yelp
Service and ambiance was impeccable. I only had happy hour as I would food hopping. Their carne asada is delicious but a bit hard to eat. I do want to come back for their brunch. They have such an amazing menu that I must try it all. Their drinks were for happy hour was delicious. I love their idea of not using sugar and finding a more healthier route in their cocktails.

Jackie K.

Yelp
We had a great dinner at Picnik, the newest restaurant in the Montrose Collective. Dinner was great, and I look forward to when they open for brunch. We had a nice dinner on the patio, and the staff was super friendly and nice--I mean, very nice in a way I haven't really experienced recently in Houston, and they genuinely seemed to want us to have a good time. -Guacamole and chips: Very fresh and simple. Thumbs up, and I would order again. -Burger: Excellent, tasty burger, and I liked the smashed potatoes that came with it. -Fried fish tacos: I took a bite of my friend's fish tacos and thought they were delicious--though I liked my burger, I would actually order these fish tacos instead next time. -Wine: We ordered a couple of glasses of wine off the happy hour menu, and the wine was the only disappointing thing about our meal: the white wine wasn't very cold, and the cava was a little flat, as if it had been opened for a while.

Keith V.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. The food here was really amazing here! Drinks were mid and overpriced. I did not like the drink menu. I did enjoy our waitress Tika she made the experience a great one. The restaurant overall is new and clean.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Food was very tasty. I was worried because this a health restaurant and i didn't want it to be bland. I also had the cashew queso. I sat on the patio so I didn't get to see the inside of the restaurant. Everyone was nice and my server answered all of my questions. I will be back soon.

Emin S.

Yelp
I love their Cobb salad and the house kombucha. The food is freshly prepared and is a good amount of food. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, vey clean modern lines, well lit. The seating could be more comfortable. The benches are a little hard on older hinds. The establishment is clean, well organized and well managed. The staff is courteous, happy to see you, chatty like a friend, and know the items on the menu and provide good recommendations. The place is overall lunchy to me, I mean sure you can have dinner here too. But this isn't where you would take a date to impress them. It's for friends and family. There is good variety on the menu. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. One drawback this is a little overpriced for what it looks like to you. So it's not a fancy meal but it's got fancy meal pricing. Think of it this way, it's actually good for you. You are eating health. So treat yourself to some good food so what if it costs a little more than what you are used to paying in industrial chain restaurants with questionable suppliers.

Mercedes S.

Yelp
Came here for brunch Saturday and this place was delicious and healthy! I loved all the gluten free dairy free options. The cashew queso is a must get and all there alcohol free drinks you get one free refill. I ordered a cup of bone broth thinking it was like a soup with chicken and veggies in it but it was not good. I wouldn't order that again. Everything else was super! The restaurant was clean and hostesses were inviting.

Michael J.

Yelp
I visited Picnik during restaurant week but they were out of the entree I wanted, so I opted for something from the regular menu instead. The crispy taco I had was well-fried, though it lacked some flavor. However, it did taste fresh. My girls ordered French toast and breakfast tacos from the all-day brunch menu, and they really enjoyed them. Our server, Kia, provided excellent service and was attentive to my daughter's food restrictions. Despite it being a Friday night, the atmosphere was relaxed, and we didn't have to wait for a table. I would consider returning to Picnik for a laid-back experience without a crowded environment.

Jane O.

Yelp
I ordered the Crispy Chivkeb Bowl and the Pitaya Margarita from the brunch menu and it was absolutely delicious! Just an explosion of new flavors in my mouth. I sat outside late Oct and the weather was so beautiful and perfect. The service was great--able to walk in and choose my seating and receive great reccs. It was truly a great experience and I would definitely come again.

Sofia D.

Yelp
Delicious food! Love the concept of healthy and sustainable food that is so good. Right in Montrose collective, great area for walking and shopping. Great service and beautiful restaurant!

Taty L.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday Afternoon for happy hour & it was pretty empty. Parking was super easy! They have valet or street parking nearby. All of the staff were very nice. I placed my order & a few minutes later the manager came to tell me the item was no longer being served but forgot to take it off the menu. Placed an second order and the same thing again. They told us the menu changes quite often. Ended up getting the french toast. It was okay! I got the southern charm cocktail which was good + hella strong. It was a big piece of ice in it tho that took up hella space in the glass so I'd say no ice if you do order it.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Great food and service ! As a person with celiacs it's been great to have a restaurant like this ! Everyone I have brought here can't tell it's gluten free . Sad to hear they are closing .

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
Each time I have been to Picnik, I have enjoyed the food, service and drinks. The food always tastes fresh and good for me. I highly recommend you to try this place. It is in the Montrose collective. The Oaxacan drink is my favorite. I've had the salmon meal and the fish tacos.

Haley W.

Yelp
This place was so refreshing. The mule was unlike anything I've ever had. The food tasted fresh and clean. Shatika was so nice and explained the menu well. Great recommendations.

Ciao A.

Yelp
I have a lot of digestive issues, so I was so glad that a new place opened that was refined sugar, gluten, and seed oil free as those things tend to trigger a lot of those issues. The food was really great. I especially enjoyed the seared Wagyu and the ginger turmeric tonic. The service was great and the drinks were delicious. The photos does not do the food justice because it is even more delicious than what you see. We definitely want to come back and try the other things on the menu.

Jana W.

Yelp
All the stuff was really friendly, but the food 100% missed the mark. I ordered the Thai coconut curry broth, fish tacos (grilled) w/jasmine rice, and black beans. My friend ordered the hot chicken sandwich on french toast and an eggnog cocktail. I love Thai coconut curry broth, and I've had more authentic versions to store bought versions you heat in the microwave. Their broth tasted like warm, salty lime water. The salt and lime were so strong that the waitress had to bring me regular bone broth with pepper to cut the taste. I also added the spice bost, but it had no flavor dimension at all. Similarly, my fish taco was overcooked and bland. They come battered and fried on the menu, so I knew there was a good chance the kitchen may not know how to alter my order and season it. The jasmine rice was dry and stuck together, like what you might get in a microwave meal. My friends sandwich was very dry and bland. I tasted the bread, which literally tasted like wheat bread dipped in egg batter. She ultimately sent her food back and didn't order anything else. She loved her drink and ordered a second. The space is open and bright with plenty of seating, including a good bar area. So, it's definitely a good option for a group, and I saw couples with children, but I won't be returning.

River S.

Yelp
We love it here! Don't have to worry about what ingredients are being used when we eat out and everything we've had here has been tasty and filling! Servers are always so friendly

Mj G.

Yelp
Great place and great vibe definitely recommend to go check them out. The service is friendly and the food is just as good.

April D.

Yelp
Service is outstanding and the food was amazing. Can't believe everything was gluten free.

Dee N.

Yelp
Food was great and they attended to every small diet restriction happily. I had the beef tacos and they were delicious! I'll be back !!

Helen S.

Yelp
Perfect place for an intimate conversation over brunch. Loved the avocado toast appetizer and had a feast with eggs. toast, bacon and smashed potatoes. Daughter had pancakes, which were enough to pack up for another meal. Mocktail menu was actually nicely curated and our server gave us a free refill to go. Will definitely be back!

Julian H.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Everything here is refined sugar free, gluten free, peanut oil free, and seed oil free. I got the avocado toast with bacon. Although it was $17, and a smaller portion, the taste was phenomenal. The service was on point! Ambiance and vibe fits the Montrose aesthetic. Will definitely come back.

C K.

Yelp
Pleasant outdoor space, but an awful weekday lunch experience. Service was excruciatingly slow, even though it wasn't busy. Wife and I both had bibimbap with steak. Steak was promised medium rare but was well done and very fatty/not good meat. As for the bibimbap itself, it was just a cup of rice with a few carrot shavings, part of an avocado, and a dusting of a few other things. It was impressively sparse and small (at $21 for the base model that lacks protein). The dishes were shocking when held against the price and disappointing even setting the price aside. Avoid this place at all costs (and brother, there are costs).

Kenzie Anne B.

Yelp
Greatest dinner I've ever f'in eaten. Everything was excellent! We got the chicken tenders, the chicken katsu sand which, the bison breakfast sandwich and the smashed potatoes and I swear this is the best meal of my life. I will 10000% be returning

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
Was so excited to see a seed oil free place to finally eat in houston - the quality of the food is great. Fried chicken tenders were so juicy and fresh and didn't taste like bad oil. Burger and Brussels sprouts also great. Healthy while being hearty and delicious. Kea provided great service too. We will be back!

Fred S.

Yelp
I normally wait until i have visited multiple times before i rec. But this place is lovely and delicious. The cashew queso is wonderfully different than the stuff you get at most restaurants. Its a "you have to try it to understand" kind of thing. I love it. And the crispy chicken bowl is a Bobby Flay beating composition. A home run. In addition to great food (and I look forward to trying everything) the people are genuinely lovely humans. They are into what they do and very intent on delivering a good experience. The place is beautifully designed (happens to be my profession so I have some cred on the subject) and it is situated in the Montrose Collective which is, itself. a bit of an architectural jewell and a special place.

Rachele M.

Yelp
As a gluten intolerant/celiac person, it felt really good to not have to worry about the menu at all or any cross-contamination. The salads are great and the food comes out quickly so it's a pretty good place to hit for lunch during a workday. Highly recommend!

Shanice F.

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere was amazing. Jamie (server) was the sweetest! The executive chef was such a doll and even brought out an all natural in-house made dog treat for my little fur baby and a water bowl. I sat on the patio and it was a perfect covered workspace. All food was gluten free, refined sugar free, and peanut free which I LOVED. Jamie walked me through the menu and matcha options since I was requesting something dairy free. The food was fresh and you could tell was made from scratch. Definitely will be back

Vee h.

Yelp
Our out of town friend recommended this place from the "gluten free app". Two options for parking : easy self park (1.5 hr free with validation ) or free valet. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by everyone. Our host , Tika, was very knowledgeable, professional & helpful. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but to my surprised the food was so good!! We can't wait to return and try other food!

Michelle G.

Yelp
The food was incredible. I loved everything about this spot. The cashew cheese dip was so delicious. The customer service was impeccable. The managers were on the floor, making sure everyone was being taken care of. Our waitress was super nice too!

Mia G.

Yelp
So I placed this order TOGO . So this review is 100% based off TOGO orders . I ordered the chicken cutlet that came with the Yukon potatoes . The potatoes were AMAZING 10/10 I'd order them by themselves omg they were so good ... but tbh I was confused with the chicken cutlet it was not seasoned came with no sauce there wasn't enough sauce on potatoes to dip the chicken in the arugula corn asparagus salad on top is tasty & refreshing I mean I like raw veggies n all but it was also dry no dressing or sauce just dry chicken n dry arugula haha so ....meh like a little olive oil lemon n spices go a long way but alright haha . The chicken was cooked perfectly but it was bland . The mellow nuke drink is cool taste nice but $40 for this meal to me is too much . Definitely not worth it in my opinion. Also to get to piknik for pick up you have to either park in garage & they will waive the fee or park in Katz parking lot (they have towing signs all over the place ) so I parked on the street . Lol which meh :/ haha . Now when I walked in it was very very welcoming the staff was so nice otp and so nice in person honestly the meal was over priced but I think I'd come back tbh just because the energy was so good haha but dine in . & I'd like to try other menu options :)

Ashley B.

Yelp
This review is only because of management and customer service! We made a reservation for yesterday at 1pm about a week ago! We arrive yesterday and they tell us they cant sit us because they ran out of brunch and are understaffed! They should have called Instead to let us know we wouldnt be able to eat there! Luckily the chelsea sat us down as option number 2 and let me say they did not dissapoint! So Picnik please be more professional to tour customers! We wont be returning again!

Russ L.

Yelp
I was recommended this place, and asked the waiter what was recommended. We ended up getting the grass fed burger and the brunch tacos.. maybe we got the wrong menu items. The grass fed burger was extremely greasy, and the bun was made out of some type of corn meal. It was honestly too greasy to eat. It came with squashed circular potatoes - fried, which were also very greasy. My guest had the brunch tacos which came out a bit simple and also greasy. Flavor was lacking on both meals. We also ordered the guac, it was $16 and basically a a small order of guac with onions on top. I was recommended to visit this place and I won't be back. But maybe i ordered the wrong Items, the salads may be delicious and healthy. But these meals were not healthy or tasty. But I would not recommend at all.

Yelp
So clean eating is the way to my heart & stomach! The thing is I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to the food I eat, BUT I LOVE FOOD! So when I find a spot that is GOOD Food GOOD service and no upset stomach for the day, I am a fan and a consistent customer! Lol this is my breakfast spot here in Houston. This is gluten Free restaurant, but there is no lack in flavor here, this is definitely my go to breakfast spot! The substitution of avocado instead of bacon is what I feel does the trick to not make the dish feel heavy. I come here so far at least a couple times a week. So I rant and rave about the food and coffee here, but if the service was not on the same level, I would not come as often as I do. It's the dynamic duo of the service and food that does it for me. I definitely highly recommend for a try! I am still going to be coming for lunch and dinner to try those menu items!

Yelp
Great comfort food, friendly servers, nice atmosphere, great patio. Happy hour is a great deal, and half priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays
