Yelp
*great place for Celiac*
We were visiting for a wedding and this was one of the places we tried that we researched was celiac friendly, which is now our new normal.
I will start by saying that you definitely should book a reservation in advance before showing up here. We had 5 people and the estimated wait time was 45 min for brunch. We waited about 40 min for a table.
The place was spacious, brightly lit, and vibrant. It ended up becoming very crowded after we sat down for a table, which made for a lively scene!
The menu was straightforward with a nice variety of options.
There aren't enough pictures on Yelp to help you to see a visual of what to order, nor to do justice for the quality and deliciousness of the food, which was disappointing, so I'm hoping to help ya'all out here.
I got the Bibimbop. It was perfect with rice, mushrooms, pickled onions, half of an avocado, cucumber kimchi, and a fried egg on top with a runny yolk! The red sauce that came to top it off with was mildly spicy and bursting with flavor! It really tied the dish together.
My partner got the fried chicken tacos that came with mashed black beans and rice. The tacos were piled high with toppings which was a nice portion for my 6ft, hearty appetite guy. He had added a side of potatoes thinking he would need a little extra something, but the dish ended up being enough. The potatoes were not crispy like I thought they would be, but rather soft, which was ok, because I love any type of potato! If you prefer them crispier, this might not be the dish for you.
Coffee was very smooth, even just black. I didn't even need cream or sugar.
Guacamole to start was fresh, flavorful, and light while being a nice portion for $12.
Overall, I was very happy with this place and it's been added to my new list of Celiac friendly restaurants!
