"With its spot surrounded by South Slope breweries, Pie Zaa figured out its crowd by designing a by-the-slice pizza place, serving brewers stopping in for a quick lunch and the late-night crowds. With just a couple of tables on the sidewalk and few seats inside, this is a quaint little spot to soak up all those IPAs. The pizzas here are massive circles of cracker-like New York-style crust covered in a whole lot of mozzarella and just a few potential toppings, including pepperoni, sausage, or the “garden” with onion, artichoke, red pepper, and mushrooms." - Eric Barton

The pizza is unique being so large and one slice is enough to fill you up. The special Miss Peaches slice didn’t taste very special but I do highly recommend the pepperoni slice. Service was a little slow for being late at night but understandable with takeout orders and the staff was mostly friendly but visibly stressed/tired. Would definitely go back to try again!

Truly perfect NY style pizza!! We tried one of each slice and they were all unbelievable. Super fresh ingredients, perfectly crunchy thin crust, exactly what you want with this style of pizza. Oh and the slices are bigger than a newborn child. I love the minimalist nature of the menu. They only do a few things but they do them very well. Oh the “zip sauce” was unreal too! We tried the hilariously oversized cookies and they were incredible as well.

We came across this place when we were looking for a late night snack. To be honest, we weren't expecting much from a late night pizza place but boy were we wrong! Not only are the slices massive, they are delicious. The topping are plentiful and the crust crispy. The staff was also super friendly. Don't skip this place if you're looking for some yummy pizza while in Asheville.

Delicious late night pizza. Gigantic slices but you pay for it. Would be worth it to get a whole pie for $50 instead of a slice for $10 but absolutely worth it for a late night slice in a great location and nice late night vibe. We got a Miss Peaches slice and it was very surprising.

This place was so cute and simplistic. Pizza was good, it was cheap, the employee that helped us was kinda standoffish but otherwise I liked it. Slices are huge! I wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza I’ve had, but it was tasty and quick :)

The slice of pizza was amazing. Had a basic sausage and the special figettaboutit slice. Both were perfectly cooked, sauce was not overpowering, and the crust had great flavor and chewyness. Location is small so seating is limited, interior is well put together and fun. Will have to warn people with small children that the employees are energetic, loud and were using colorful language ... loudly. Perfect place for a slice, maybe to go.

Really top notch pizza. I normally rate "late night slice" places differently than traditional pizza joints, but no grading curve needed for pie.zaa! The ingredients were fresh the staff was super friendly and everything happened fast. The real star of this pizza though, was the crust/dough. Not overly crispy or a never ending chew. Super fresh and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I have never seen a pizza or a pizza slice this big in my entire life. Literally, I went bug eyed. Pizza was solid and delicious. Perfect for our late night game night - but man, I had no idea a pizza could be this big 😂
