The starters were the star of the show. The matcha carrot dish was a flavor bomb that was perfectly balanced with tart, smoke, sweet, crunch. It was an impeccable dish. The calamari also held its own, crispy, tender inside and a hint of heat in the batter.
Sadly the entrees fell short. The pappardelle was salty, whee I had a take a sip of water between bites and pasta was overcooked. The ravioli was also overcooked but had an amazing filling. Going to overlook both and toss it up to execution for the night. Ending with the dessert, I thought it needed more crust to balance the tartness from the strawberries. It’s was like 85% strawberry, 10% cream and 5% crust. Needs a better ratio.
As for the service, it was good. You won’t write home to your mom about it but it was overall casual and on point service. The venue is small, but they did best with the interior design with what they had. An overall enjoyable experience that could had been better if the entrees were better executed.
