Best Restaurants for Soup in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"This Cuban-Peruvian gem in Sandy Springs serves Latin cuisine with a twist. A standout is chupe, a rich and creamy Peruvian chowder filled with tender lobster, shrimp, corn, and vegetables. Additionally, enjoy Cuban classics like el cubano, tostones, and ropa vieja alongside Peruvian-Cantonese fare from Peru’s many native Asian communities, like lo mein. For heartier appetites, the paella Valenciana, a saffron-infused bomba rice dish loaded with seafood, is a must-try pairing with soup" - Eater Staff

The Best Peruvian Restaurants in Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"Owned by Joseph Rosales (Mambo’s Cafe), Pisco Latin Kitchen offers Peruvian, Cuban, and a few Nikkei dishes on its menu, the latter blending Peruvian ingredients and dishes like ceviche with Japanese cooking and sushi preparation techniques. “Nikkei” refers to the descendants of Japanese immigrants throughout the world, some of whom arrived in Peru in the early 20th century. The two culinary cultures eventually merged together to create this distinct offshoot of Peruvian food. Expect a variety of ceviches, hearty seafood paellas, and Chinese-Peruvian wok dishes like chaufa and lo mein tossed with vegetables, along with tender churrasco steak, jalea mixta (fried seafood), and fettuccine verde with Peruvian pesto sauce. Pair with a traditional pisco sour or the restaurant’s take on the Hemingway daiquiri." - Beth McKibben

I had this place on our list and couldn’t wait to try it!! Unfortunately it was a slight let down. Our food wasn’t as delicious as I was hoping because it didn’t have much seasoning. It was still good just not amazing. The lady serving us spent more time chatting with other servers and we had to get her attention whenever we needed anything even water. Our drinks took forever! We came just before the dinner crowd so the place was pretty empty not sure what the problem was. It’s probably worth another try and I think the situation was likely not the norm but we likely won’t ever return.

Google
I ordered mixed Saltados which comes with three meat: shrimp, steak and chicken. Shrimp was good but both steak and chicken was dry and hard to chew. Not tender. Fried rice was too salty. We got there about 11:45AM ish and when we got the food, it was 12:45pm. It was quite wild that the server would not tell us until when we asked how long the food will take when it was already 45 minutes into "cooking". Server did not check with us for anything during that time and after the food came out.

Google
My second time in a month coming to this restaurant. The first time I had a sopa de chupe, which was really tasty and felt like a homemade soup. The second time I had a ceviche carretillero, it was perfect, good portions. Tonight is gonna be my third time coming to this restaurant, because I really like the seafood dishes.

The food and services was a 10/10. Everything tasted fresh, very clean environment highly recommend. Our first time going and will be dining again. Diego was also very pleasant.

Google
Quick Recap: Easy to find, They also accept reservations and there was plenty of parking available out front. Nicely decorated, clean bathrooms, service. Our server was also phenomenal! Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the vegetable Lo mein. It was absolutely delicious. Probably the best I have ever had to be completely honest. The Papas Bravas appetizer was tasty! My hubby ordered the churrasco: He rated this 7 or 8 out of 10. he also said it tasted even better the next day. The cousin ordered chicken empanadas and chicken saltado. She said it was absolutely delicious! She was very pleased. We will absolutely be back and recommend this place for sure! Please note: we're originally from Miami. The food pass the test! Also The place looks empty because we closed down the place! Lol

Google
Food is fabulous and unique. Loved the wine selection. Margarita was good but not exceptional but lots of drink choices. Had grilled grouper with shrimp, mussels, squid rings and grilled octopus for 42 dollars which was a real treat, worth the price for the experience that is hard to find. Nice place for a 1st or 2nd date to impress for quality without pretention. Unimpressive from the outside but puts you in the know.

Google
This is a great little spot that’s tucked away in an unobtrusive corner. We ordered a good number of different dishes and everything was delicious! The service was good and the portions were generous! I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! My favorites were probably the ropa vieja and the lomo saltado!

Google
Super friendly staff. Delicious drinks at the full bar. The food is average. The skirt steak was so tough and stringy I threw my leftovers away. I've eaten here twice recently and the entrees were average. My friends got the ceviche and enjoyed it. It's a very nice atmosphere here. Pretty place.

Yelp
My gf and I went here for a quick lunch with her 10 year old nephew, who is an extremely picky eater! He had the chicken sandwich with fries and was very happy! I had the tostones and tacu tacu -- both were perfect! And my gf had fish that she enjoyed as well. Their green hot sauce is so delicious -- they should bottle it and sell it!!! The service was really great too. They were all friendly and attentive. It's close by us so we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Cute little restaurant. I wouldn't try to do a date night here again though. I popped in because my partner comes here all the time and he loves it. This was not my experience. Our server was the bartender & we were sat at a distant table. Need I say anything else? Really no. He basically ignored us the entire time we were there. The food was delicious and truly authentic. The service was awful. Perhaps someone called out and he had to take over. Perhaps his girlfriend broke up with him on that day. His dog didn't come home? Either way, if you work off tips; put a smile on your face and watch your tables.

Yelp
My partner & I decided to come here after reading their reviews on Yelp. We ordered the Ham croquettes and the Tostones rellenos (Shrimp) as appetizers. They were amazing, filled with lots of flavors. We ordered the Mezcalita Skinny & the Mezcal Manhattan as our main drinks. They were both delicious, the Manhattan one was smooth but strong. I ordered the Pan con bistec and it was simply delicious, I could even taste the lemon to season the steak, the sweet plantains were fried perfectly and were just like I like them. My partner ordered the Parrillada Carne and came with yellow rice and sweet plantains. Everything was simply amazing with lots of flavors. It was quite a lot so we took leftovers home. We ordered the Guava cheesecake to go. I ate it when I came home since I am Cuban & a big fan of Guava. Though I enjoyed it I must say it needed more Guava, and the slice was little for the price. It should be a little bigger. Our waitress was Saffia and she was very attentive and provided us with a great service. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we came, the music wasn't loud. Really nice ambience.

Yelp
What an amazing hidden gem in sandy springs! The food was amazing, a wide variety of Latin selections. I was craving lomo saltado and this place def hit the spot. We also got the loaded tostones with pulled beef (amazing flavor and was surprisingly filling), traditional ceviche (not my fav as the fish was a little too chewy), and the ropa vieja. Service was not the best as we had to flag him down a couple times but I think he was just trying to not be too interruptive. However, while we were dining, a homeless person wandered into the restaurant and asked us for money while we were dining at our table..... the homeless person circled back and confronted me AGAIN as he thought I was calling the cops but I was just on my phone texting- we were shocked and were so put off by this as the host was at the front and just let him in??? The server said the host was very young hence didn't have enough experience but I think that's a ridiculous excuse. If she's old enough to work, she should be old enough to carry common sense.

Yelp
This place has amazing Peruvian food. Try the ceviche! They have great lunch specials, my favorite is the Angus Churrasco Steak, with the homemade chimichurri sauce! The Ropa Viega is also really good. It's a small and beautiful restaurant, the service is good on slow days.

Yelp
This is a delicious spot for Latin Cuisine in the Sandy Springs area. Food is flavorful and portion sizes are great. There is a full bar available as well. There's outdoor seating also. Service is decent, though can be a bit slow when busy. That said, I would definitely be back

Yelp
Best Latin restaurant this side of the country. Enjoyed everything about our visit. Simple decor with intense Latin flavors. We started with a Pisco sour and a bumu rum and Dos Equis and a seafood appetizer which consisted of grilled octopus, calamari, mussels, shrimp and sausage (? Barcelona). You should definitely try that appetizer. It was flavorful, fresh and served with two pieces of soft Cuban bread that had been lightly toasted. We also added a house salad that fresh crisp and had some flavorful walnuts on top. For our main entrees, we ordered one of the specials of the evening which was two grilled pork chops served with rice, beans and a side of plantains. We also ordered the grilled meats which came with grilled skirt steak topped with chimichurri, pork, grilled chicken and sausage; also complimented with your choice of rice, beans and plantains. This dish was large enough for 2+ people. . They have a Latin music playing, and a nice vibe in the restaurant. This was my first visit to Pisco Latin Kitchen but it won't be my last.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! We tried this place on a whim with a large group and we were all so impressed by the food. The traditional ceviche is a MUST (and you can get it spicy). Guac was yummy, chicken and beef empanadas were fabulous, especially for the price. I had the ropa vieja for my main and it was so good! Others had arroz con mariscos, grouper sandwich, pollo a la plancha, the Cuban sandwich, and the seafood soup. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. I also had the pisco sour which was delicious and STRONG, be careful! Cocktails are a little on the pricey side (all $12+), but that seems to be a common theme these days. Service was excellent, staff was friendly, and the ambiance was so cute in this small space. They have an outdoor area and it would be a great spot to enjoy with nice weather If you have kids, there is no kids menu, but they had chicken fingers and fries which the kids in our party enjoyed. We will be back. My husband even said he would drive out to Sandy springs just for this spot! If you are in the area, a must try, and if you aren't in the area make the drive, it's worth it!

Yelp
I have been to Pisco twice now and I consistently recommend it to people who visit the area. I have had some meals that were better than others, but overall, they have some really good food. The first time, I ordered the paella and I wasn't a huge fan. It didn't have the crispiness or flavor profile that you would expect from a Spanish paella. The ceviche I would also say isn't the best I have had, but not bad by any means. Now, the second time I went, I ordered the shrimp lo mein and it was the best lo mein of my life by far. I will be ordered this every time that I go! I do plan to come back.

Yelp
This one's a keeper! Went for the first time last night. I have been wanting to try it but haven't gotten much support from the family. Damn, did they eat their words - and a ton of food. The service was great, the atmosphere soothingly casual yet clean and warm. The food? Incredible. We had the empanadas (comes with 2 and they are pleasingly large!), the Cazuelita Barcelona (insanely good, garlicky fresh seafood), the traditional ceviche (right up there with my favorites in Miami, as all as with my Peruvian ceviche-making-pro friend), the Angus steak with yummy chimichurri and the grilled chicken with onions. Not one thing was less than delicious and our server was kind and helpful. We will be back very very soon.

Yelp
Nestled in the corner of a small shopping center in Sandy Springs, Pisco is my go to place when I want authentic Cuban Paella. After moving here from Florida 30 years ago, I have tried paella from numerous restaurants in the Atlanta market only to be disappointed. The paella at Pisco brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. I finally found my new home. Trust me when I say this, Pisco will give any restaurant in Little Havana a run for the money. While you are there, be sure to sample their fresh fruit margaritas and sangria. That alone is worth the trip there. Whether it's a date night for you and the better half or a family celebration, Pisco can accommodate most parties. For large parties, I would encourage you to call ahead and make reservations. This place fills up quickly on the weekends.

Yelp
Not sure what happened to my pics but I came here after a Peruvian recommended the ceviche. I went to Lima Peru several years ago and absolutely fell in love with the ceviche, and I would have to say this was the closest it came to authentic Peruvian ceviche must have

Yelp
Food was fantastic and ambiance. Great place for Latin American dishes. This is way more than a Cuban restaurant. Service was fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such an incredible restaurant. It ranks with any high end place in Atlanta. It is fresh and delicious. The portions are HUGE. It feels like they may need some more service team at times but overall you're enjoying it so much you hardly notice. Just be patient. It's worth it. We ordered ceviche and paella. I want to share so that the owners are recognized, but honestly, want to keep it to myself with no changes!!!! The ambiance is more casual but not too much so. It is a great blend between pretentious and casual. Seems as though many that are more familiar with this type of cuisine visit-always a great sign.

Yelp
The food and drinks were great! A good menu and the server was nice. Definitely coming back!!

Yelp
Great spot, the food was tasty and vibe was nice. Customer service was also good. A little on the pricy side, but understandable. Would def recommend and come again.

Yelp
I ordered a traditional Cuban sandwich. It was good, but have had a better test experience with previous sandwiches from this restaurant

Yelp
Quality of dishes, with excellent execution and presentation. Amazing flash fried Piccadillo enchiladas, delicious paella, sweet plantains, and refreshing mojitos!!! All served quickly by cordial wait staff. Our mango passion cheese cake was divine We will be back with our friends to try more from your extensive menu of home cooking. Yummm

Yelp
We were two of twelve who ate here recently. My ceviche Micro was excellent and totally consumed. My wife ordered Saltados and we shared an appetizer - Croquetas de Jamin. They were enjoyed, but not as much as the two entrees. I was one of the few in our group who did not need a "to go" box. Most were only able to eat about half of what was served. Service was decent, food taste and quality were excellent.

Yelp
I stopped in while in ATL on business since they were rated highly in Yelp. In my search for great Latin flavors I found the Lechone asado on the menu and took a chance. The rice and black beans were on track for greatness as the pork was/ mojo sauce was average and tasted a bit warmed over if you get what I am saying. So I left it on the plate. The service was excellent and atmosphere the same. They offered the comp the meal or give something in exchange and I rejected both options as the tostones and sides filled me up. I will return again when I'm back in the ATL but will try the chimichurri steak instead.

Yelp
Loved our dinner here! Only con - i looked on their site, open table, here & resy to see if they take reservations - found nothing. But they do apparently accept them! Everything we ate was SO good. Empanadas are pretty big compared to others i've had...tried one of each - chicken & the beef. I love Lomo Saltado & their beef saltado did not disappoint. Ropa Vieja was also very good. Tres leches to end the meal. Will definitely be back....with a reservation.

Murli S.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the Cantonese-style fried rice and calamari and both were amazing! Friendly staff, quick service and nice ambience.
google avatar

Ishara F.

Yelp
Wow! Drinks are absolutely delicious! Food is very tasty and there were a lot of food options to chose from in my opinion. Definitely am going back over and over again. Service is good as well. We ordered three empanadas to go that I forgot to take photos of that were also delicious.

Yelp
We visited this Peruvian restaurant in Sandy springs on Saturday for lunch. We ordered two starters, two main courses, and a drink. To start with the drink we ordered Coco Loco, was PERFECT!!. The rum, mango, pineapple, and coconut transported me to a tropical location. For starters we ordered Chicken Empanadas and Patatas Bravas. They came out pretty quick and were really fresh. Empanadas were huge and adequately stuffed. Patatas bravas were crispy, well seasoned and appropriately drizzled with the creamy sauce. For the main course we ordered Chicken Saltados which is Peru's national dish and Ropa Vieja which is Cuba's national dish. Both dishes were so flavourful and that I cannot choose just one as my favorite. The meats were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portion size was huge. The ambience of the restaurant is very simple and vibes are chilled. There is plenty of parking space outside, we had gone for lunch and on Sunday so the shops nearby were closed on usual days you may struggle with the parking. Finally, coming to our server, Saffia, she was awesome. Even during lunch hours when there were a lot of people she made sure she kept checking not only on us but all the tables she was serving on. Definitely a five star service.

David G.

Yelp
Nice new discovery in Sandy Springs near Roswell Rd and Hammond Dr. A good variety of Latin American food some of which was new to us. The service staff was very attentive and really nice, friendly and helpful. Would have given 5-stars but the only complaint was that the room temperature was too low that Sunday with the outside temperature at 80 or so. Lesson learned to now always carry a lap blanket when eating out.
google avatar

Eli N.

Yelp
Great food. Pretty close to the authentic. The service was good. The place can get packed quick so if you want a spot, make a reservation or take your luck.
google avatar

Rich V.

Yelp
Awesome Latin food, a mix of nationalities but very well done. The bar is great too, with many interesting cocktails, but I would especially focus your attention on their Mezcal cocktails, which are innovative. The Peruvian ceviche is excellent, and I would strongly recommend. They actually ask you how spicy you would like it, but don't go less than medium. The guacamole was made to order and was also exceptional
google avatar

Kelsi H.

Yelp
There is nothing that I didn't love about this place. Look- seemingly recently remodeled, modern Latin feel Service- nice and attentive Drinks- I got the Guava Rita (a margarita with guava purée mixed in) and it was so good that I got another. Food- started with the chicken empanadas. They tasted good, but I asked if they had any garlic sauce and that really put it over the top for me. I got the paella (for 1) for dinner and it was go good! The rice and seasoning is what makes or breaks paella and this was delicious. Two people could easily split this!!
google avatar

Kamille V.

Yelp
Lovely Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Roswell! Service was perfect and wait time was normal! Staff was super friendly and restaurant super clean and well decorated! Good ambiance overall 10/10! Their menu size was decent with a variety of typical Peruvian dishes! I was really excited to try their ceviche mixto because im a ceviche lover! Although it was good, I did not think it was worth $24 - overall I rate it 7/10 . I will say the seafood (octopus, shrimp, calamari, and mussels) was super fresh! We also tried the ropa vieja tostones and that was 10/10 (DELICIOUS) as well as the churrasco steak !!! Super well marinated and seasoned! These plates were bursting with rich flavors! Also- i love that their lunch special is M-Saturday! So huge shoutout! I Would come back!

R A.

Yelp
Amazing food! The lomo saltado and Peruvian paella were exceptional. We went for lunch and the paella was the special for $18! Will be my go to restaurant every time in near the area

Fred G.

Yelp
Not really a Peruvian restaurant which is disappointing. More of a Latin hodgepodge. Although the name doesn't say it's a Peruvian restaurant, some of the reviews called it that which is confusing. For a truly Peruvian restaurant which has all the Peruvian dishes, unfortunately one has to drive all the way to The Freakin Incan. I wish a Peruvian restaurant would come to Sandy Springs. Lamentations aside, Pisco does serve a great ceviche. If that's all you're looking for, this would be a good place for that.
google avatar

Dennis G.

Yelp
The food was excellent, the drinks tasty and potent. I had a Texas Margarita. My better half had the poco loco. We shared the paella. Everything was excellent Service was top notch
google avatar

Saul S.

Yelp
This dining experience was fantastic.. El Cubano and Pollo con Camarones Enchilados were amazing. The flavor and textures of these dishes reminds me why latin cuisine is so delightful. You can't go wrong eating here. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Cora A.

Yelp
Hidden gem in the area. I don't know why this place isn't always packed! The ceviche is sooo fresh ! Some of the best I've ever had! Roos veja is flavorful and a big serving . Pisco sour is my favorite cocktail. Enjoyable relaxed ambiance . Can go casual !

Pey L.

Yelp
We've been to this place a few times and have done take out as well. Definitely recommend dining in vs take out. Food has always been somewhat consistent in flavor. We always get the lomo saltado (steak). The flavor was really good but the meat is not always tender. Servers and service are always nice and polite. Location is always clean both inside and outside. There was a time we went where the restaurant smelled kind of fishy. Overall it's a good casual spot to go to that's not busy with decent food.
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious .. great service ! The ambience was on point Ceviche Mixto

Ciara D.

Yelp
This hidden gem, is a true gem. Free parking for one, the ambiance is amazing, the customer service was superb. The drinks were real drinks - you got your moneys worth cause they truly served the liquor as ordered and didn't water it down. The food was DELICIOUS. I would definitely recommend and visit again. Ordered the Ultimate Texas and Guava Rita drinks 20/10 My boyfriend and I ordered the Ropa Vieja as well our server recommended it the steak was cooked to perfection. The rice was well seasoned, the plantains were sweet. I wasn't a fan of the black beans personally but they didn't kill the vibe either.

Randy H.

Yelp
Spicy Marg is awesome! Food & service was excellent. We had 12 in our party and everyone loved this restaurant.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere and food. Ceviche was fresh and the dish was 10/10. Didn't drink this time around but coming back for a Pisco Sour next time!

Yelp
I love to try new cuisines and that love made me discover a hidden gem in Sandy Springs. Pisco Latin Kitchen is a Peruvian cuisine. Let us start with the food. We ordered 2 starters, 2 main courses and a drink. We started with the drink Coco Loco. I usually complain when the cocktails are not well balanced. Some places have too much alcohol and some places have too less alcohol. But this place, Coco Loco, was PERFECT!!. It felt like a tropical drink with rum, mango, pineapple, and coconut in perfect proportion. We had our Coco Loco with Chicken Empanadas and Patatas Bravas. Empanadas were huge. I am comparing only from those places where I had empanadas. Even though it was huge, the stuffing was perfect and it was delicious. Only thing I thought was missing was options for dipping sauce but I think I can work without it given the empanadas were really tasty. Patatas bravas were crispy, well salted, and appropriately drizzled with some creamy sauce. For the main course we decided to choose two national dishes. Chicken Saltados (Peru's national dish) and Ropa Vieja (Cuba's national dish), and they deserved to be national dishes. It had so much flavour. The meats were properly seasoned and properly cooked. The portion size was really huge. We had to take some home. One thing if I have to improve it would be a little more sauce/juice in chicken saltados would be nice. At one point it started feeling very dry. Luckily we had black beans from Ropa Vieja which made it a little juicy. The restaraunt has a beautiful ambience and a beautiful bar. The seatings were spacious but the seats towards the wall were quite high which slightly felt uncomfortable. There is plenty of parking space outside but I fear during weekends when there is rush you may have to park slightly far. Finally, coming to our server, Saffia, she was kind and polite. She kept on checking on us if the food was good and if we needed something. Perfect service. Food - 4/5 Ambience - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Parking - 5/5

Yelp
Great food, cheery service and atmosphere. This was formerly a different restaurant, I had no idea it was open until I was looking for a restaurant nearby. The ceviche was good, I prefer the fish to be more firm. The octopus was also good. The best was the Saltados. I ordered it with chicken and white rice. The seasonings, gravy, fries, chicken.... All so, so good! I plan to go back to try the empanadas and pollo a la plancha. Can't wait!
google avatar

Nicky N.

Yelp
I went there on a weekend night and got seated immediately, which is quite nice. The menu is decent with a lot of selections. We ordered calamari and it was the toughest calamari I ever have. so chewy and dried My order was the braised beef brisket. It was ok. Nothing impressed. Need more spices and a little kick in the sauce. My husband got the flank steak. It was tender but so oily. The service is okay. I think they were short staffs that night. Only 2-3 servers for the whole restaurant. It's a solid 3.5*
google avatar

Alyanna T.

Yelp
Had a fantastic dinner here! My partner and I ordered the traditional ceviche, valenciana paella, saltados w steak, and angus churrasco steak - TASTE: 5/5 - the ceviche was on point: the lime, ginger, and aji peppers (definitely spicy!) were wonderful in the "leche de tigre" marinade, and the sweet potato was a great, sweet contrast. Both the saltados w steak strips and churrasco steak w chimichurri were perfectly savory and rich. The yellow and white rice sides were distinct and complementary to the beef. Finally, paella is always a treat, and I can truly never get enough of plantains TEXTURE: 5/5 - excellent! Loved the crunch of the corn nuts in the ceviche, big pieces of onion in the saltados, texture of the chimichurri, and softness of the plantains PRICE: 4/5 - definitely a bit of a splurge, but worth it SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - very generous portions, with so much leftovers to take home and enjoy later SERVICE: 4/5 - the staff provided their recommendations, and were friendly and attentive ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - a nice space, with modern decor and Latin music PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in the Hammond Springs plaza

Yelp
Our new favourite restaurant in Atl! We tried Pisco this past Friday. The service was incredible as was the food and drinks. We had the traditional ceviche with plantain chips; chicken chaufa; and steak churrasco. For drinks we had the Texan margarita. This place is top notch! The portions are huge! The chaufa could feed 3 people. So delicious and highly recommend! Best ceviche in Atlanta by far!

Yelp
It's so hard finding Peruvian cuisine in Georgia, I was very excited to find this new place but my boyfriend and I weren't happy with how the Lomo Saltado tasted. Wont be back.

Yelp
Stopped by in a Saturday afternoon to place a to go order and it was relatively empty. The space is rather intimate but plenty if seating is available either at the bar or a table. While I was there I think 3 other tables ranging from 1 person to 4 people were there. The owner (I assume) seemed a bit nervous abt the flow of traffic and I heard him telling someone that last Saturday was much better, and he checked the register total a few times (I won't disclose How much it was). He did not however greet or check on me. Amazing: Cocktail- Soul Flower, wow! This was strong and delicious! One of these and I was done. If I went driving I would have gotten another. Appetizer- Chicken Empanada Pretty good: Seafood Padilla (Off menu item) $38- I saw this pictured on yelp but it wasn't listed on the menu. When I asked the host/waiter/bartender (it was all the same person) if they had a grilled version of the Jalea Mixta and he mentioned this with the disclaimer that it is a large portion. I was fine with that because I would have leftovers. I chose a side salad and tostones instead of rice and beans as my side (all other sides have an up charge). The seafood medley included mussels, shrimp, calamari rings, octopus and grouper in a garlic butter sauce. I needed lemon to brighten the dish and add freshness. Also a touch of spice (heat) helped. Overall, I would try another dish next time. The waiter/host/bartender was very warm and friendly. I'm rooting for this restaurant and will be back for the Soul Flower, empanadas and new items!

Yelp
We are always looking for new great restaurant experiences and Pisco Latin Kitchen fits the bill perfectly. New modern and fresh surroundings. There are so many choices on the menu, it was hard to choose. Our table ordered fish, vegetable paella, skirt steak, and a shredded beef dish. Lots of food and everyone was happy with the way their order tasted. Service was wonderful and by coincidence we ran into some friends from South America. They were very effusive about which dishes we should try. They are also open for lunch, so getting back soon to taste other items on the menu won't be difficult.
