14 Must-Try Kendall Restaurants

"This ceviche-focused restaurant at the Palms at Town & Country, from the team behind Bulla Gastrobar, serves up a bevy of Peruvian cuisine like papa a la huancaina (potatoes in a spicy cheese sauce), causas (Peruvian mashed potato casserole), lomo saltado (stir fry), and of course, plenty of ceviche. Those who can’t choose just one ceviche (there are seven) can opt for the sampler and try three of Pisco’s most popular options." - Stacy A. Moya

Tom Sietsema Calls Ivy City Spot “A Beautiful Work in Progress” - Eater DC

"Sietsema also visits Peruvian hotspot (and Miami import) Pisco y Nazca and is quick to point out its popularity — comparing the crowd’s sound level to 'jet engine sounds at takeoff.' After pointing out the new restaurant’s popularity at happy hour, the reviewer praises the the restaurant’s Pisco sour, its potato dish with cheese and olives, and an empanada with shredded chicken, calling the latter 'herby and juicy.' Sietsema is sadly not into the ceviche, though, saying it 'lacks sparkle.'" - Alison Baitz

Our waitress, Irene, was absolutely incredible. From start to finish, her service was warm, attentive, and above and beyond anything we expected. Not only did she take great care of us, but she somehow managed to gently help soothe and put our 5-month-old baby to sleep—talk about next-level hospitality! She made our dining experience truly enjoyable and stress-free. Irene is a gem, and we’ll definitely be back because of her. Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

We had an incredible experience at Pisco y in Kendall. We were a large group of 15 people, and from the very beginning, the service was impeccable. Juan, our server, took care of us with so much kindness, always attentive, friendly, and professional. María, the manager, also made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was simply excellent, each dish better than the last, full of flavor and beautifully presented. I definitely recommend this place not only for its delicious Peruvian cuisine but also for the exceptional service they provide. A huge thank you to Juan, María, and the entire team for making our night so special!

My family and I visited Pizco y Nasca on a weekday at around 4pm. I loved that there were barely any people there, I’m not much for crowds. Carla was our server, she was amazing. Continuously came around to check on us, making sure everyone had what they needed. She was spectacular! We were a groups of 7 and ordered an appetizer, then each person chose their own meal. (Image included with everything we ordered.) I was actually very surprised of how quickly the food came out- too quick for my liking. Meaning, food was already prepared (who knows for how long), but it was ok- nothing extraordinary. It certainly didn’t par with the price, bill was $600! It is a nice restaurant with a modern touch, cool for happy hours and appetizers. Location is convenient with in Town & Country Mall. We had a pleasant walk around the lake after dinner. Overall, it was a good experience.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Top-notch environment, top-notch dishes. My parents and I had never had such delicious Peruvian food before! 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪 Especially the Latin gentleman YiLa (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell his name), who provided us with outstanding service. Full marks for him!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pisco y Nazca in Town Country Mall, and I must say, our experience was nothing short of fantastic, thanks in large part to our wonderful server, Maye. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcomed and special. Maye’s attention to detail and genuine warmth truly stood out. She took the time to ensure our needs were met, offering great recommendations and checking in on us regularly without being intrusive. It was clear that she genuinely cares about her guests and wants them to have the best experience possible. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a family outing, but it was Maye’s exceptional service that made the day memorable. She is undoubtedly an asset to Pisco y Nazca, and I can’t wait to return to enjoy another meal, knowing we’ll be in such capable hands. Thank you, Maye, for making our visit so special!

Food is far from good here. As a true Peruvian I feel embarrassed that this passes as good Peruvian food here. I have been to both the one in Doral and in Washington and the food has a lot to be desired here. We had a pick two ( causa de pollo and aji de pollo) and a arroz con pollo for lunch. The causa had so much mayo thrown all over that we couldn't eat the pollo, not to mention it tasted a bit rancid and weird. The aji de pollo wasn't so bad, but I wouldn't say it was a true Peruvian dish. The arroz con pollo was the worst, the rice had no flavor, neither did the huancaína sauce, but the true issue with it was that the chicken was undercooked and it had this panco sauce thrown on it and it seemed uncooked. This has been a very disappointing experience.
