The Wild Hare Is Relocating to Chicago’s Fulton Market District | Eater Chicago

"A casual Greek restaurant currently occupying space in the same Fulton Market complex at 950 W. Fulton Street; the broader development also includes restaurants and a private event space, and "another space on the corner of Fulton at Morgan will also be developed into a restaurant," Glastris tells Eater." - Serena Maria Daniels

Pitaki - Review - Fulton Market - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Pitaki is a counter-service spot in Fulton Market serving Greek street food. You can get pita wraps, filo hand pies, and bowls filled with things like spicy feta or eggplant dip for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Greek Hit Avli Will Bring Pitaki to Fulton Market | Eater Chicago

"Owners of a well-known Chicago Greek restaurant are opening a quick-service concept this fall at 950 W. Fulton Street inside the same building as Morgan’s on Fulton. The compact counter-service spot (about 20 indoor seats, with patio seating planned for 2025) will offer pita wraps, bowls, savory pies, salads and desserts; the name literally means “little pie” in Greek. The menu was developed by founder Louie Alexakis with assistance from culinary director David Tsirekas. Takeout and delivery will be available via Toast, DoorDash and Uber Eats, catering is planned to serve nearby offices, and the operation — open for lunch and dinner — will also retail pantry items, books and other merchandise." - Ashok Selvam

I’m really torn with this review. I’ll start with the positives: The interior was cute and clean, the staff was all very polite and efficient, the food presentation was nice, flavors were decent although not really authentic The negatives: Price for potion size is not great. The Spicy Siren looked great, but unfortunately, the other reviews are correct- the chicken was super fatty, primarily skin and had a lot of gristle. It was honestly difficult to eat and I spit out multiple bites. There is not even a remote hint of spice so the name should be reconsidered or the recipe needs a sever overhaul. The pita and hummus spread on it were both delicious though. I also ordered the Avgolemono Soup. The soup was pretty good flavor wise but did not taste even close to authentic, there was the slightest hint of lemon which is usually a primary flavor in the soup. It also had chunks of the fatty/gristly chicken that I picked out. I was very hopeful for this place because it’s close to my work but unfortunately I’m not certain I would ever eat it again because I spent $20 on a meal that was mostly inedible.

Google
One of the tastiest Mediterranean bowls I’ve had yet! The spicy feta and yogurt flavors were great and staff were friendly. Price is a little steep for a bowl, but worth it.

Google
Overall, I enjoyed Pitaki! The first time I visited, I had a bowl and it was absolutely delicious and had great flavor. The second time, I tried a wrap and found it a bit underwhelming in comparison. I think Pitaki is a solid spot, especially if you find the menu items that work best for your taste. I’d definitely go back, but I’ll be sticking to the bowls!

Google
I had the most unexpected and pleasantly surprising meal at this place! I ordered the Klassiko Wrap assuming it would be your typical gyro, but wow, was I wrong in the best way. It came out as a lamb pita wrap with the most tender, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth meat I’ve had in a long time. Truly unforgettable! It’s been two days since I’ve gone and I can’t stop thinking about it!

Google
Got Harvest salad with added grilled halumi, paid $21 which is steep but it is west loop. What I didn’t expect is to find that portion is really small and some greens shouldn’t even be used for the salad, withered and slimy. Very disappointing quality, I hope you can take this feedback and improve.

Google
I decided to give Pitaki a whirl with a takeout order. I went for their much-lauded "Spicy Siren" – sounded promising, right? And honestly, it actually hit the spot in a big way. It felt genuinely healthy, which is a win in my book, and totally satisfied. Now, about the "spicy" part of the "Spicy Siren"... let's just say it was more of a gentle whisper than a fiery scream. A bit of a misnomer, perhaps? Still tasty, though. Despite the spice MIA, the overall experience was solid enough that I'm definitely planning a return trip. There are other intriguing items on that menu calling my name, and I'm curious to see what else Pitaki has up its sleeve. Stay tuned for round two!

Google
We ordered two spicy siren wraps which were customizable. The wrap was much bigger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Toppings were generous and overall, very flavorful. Definitely need a fork and many napkins! Good bang for your buck in west loop.

Google
I stopped by Pitaki recently and had such a great experience — the food was fresh, the place was super clean, and the service was actually amazing. Special shoutout to Nimota, who made the whole visit 10x better. She was welcoming, fast, and genuinely cared that we enjoyed everything.

Yelp
I walk past this spot almost everyday and wonder why it's nearly empty almost all of the time. Today I decided to stop in for lunch, and found out why there is never a crowd in here. Food is super mid. Got a spicy chicken pita wrap and an order of fries. Chicken in the wrap was cold, not sure if that was intentional or not. Fries were under cooked. Sucks this place is mid as it's right down the street from my home and the neighborhood needs some good cheap eats.

Yelp
Ordered some food to go and all in all a solid experience. The zucchini chips were super greasy, so probably won't do that again, but the wrap was fresh and tasty. Pickup was fast and friendly and there were lots of available tables inside if I wanted to stay in. Will try other items on the menu next time.

Yelp
The ambiance here was super cute. But the music. The MUSIC. Think elevator music circa 1990. For Chicago it was very strange. Whoever is in charge of music needs to have their DJ license revoked as the vibe was off. Is this why they were empty at 1pm on a Saturday? A small but significant detail. I digress... Nonetheless I stuck around to eat my $16 meal. I got the Pegasus Bowl with zuchinni falafel. I couldn't believe how small the bowl was. There was barely any food for the price. If I hadn't ordered the zuchinni falafel as an add on the bowl would have been half empty. The zuchinni falafel was good but as a whole the dish was unimpressive. I doubt I'll go back.

Yelp
Honestly not the best at all... I am being generous with 3 stars. The food was not good at all. It took forever to prepare, they kept prioritizing take out orders. I don't know how you can screw up Greek food.

Yelp
First time having Greek food since my trip this summer and I wish I could go back. I ended up getting the Klassiko bowl with the mustard-mayo on the side. I ordered chicken but was given pork. Not very flavorful and pretty dry. The Greek salad was too acidic and the pita wasn't fluffy. The fries were very well seasoned but most of them were soft. The nice part was the tzatziki but it couldn't save the rest of the food. I'm sure they will adjust as they are open for longer but the taste just wasn't there for me to wanna come back.

Yelp
Food literally pissed me off got a bowl chai was trying to experiment, realized this the wrong place to do it. The salad was literally just large chunks of vegetables. The fries were clearly cooked in old oil because they had that taste. My pita need had been soaked in the salad so it was soggy. The meat was flavorless and the cheese curds I ordered looked nothing like the picture. Was just fried cheese.

Yelp
Ahh! This used to be Morgan's on Fulton food and beverage design studio. Remember that! This is part of the Avli people. I had their fries, and they were good.

Yelp
The ambiance is so nice here and I enjoyed my meal. Fries were yummy and my tatziki was delish! The servers were nice and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
As a Greek person, this was bad, the employees don't care, the food is terrible, they need to take the word Greek off the door, The fried zucchini just tasted of oil and had this weird red sauce, the avgolemeno soup was watery and tasted horrible (old), the pita klassiko chicken had this weird sour taste and dry chicken, I don't see this place lasting long, it's decorated nice and that's about it.

Yelp
I walked in and ordered the villager salad to go. I must say I'm very disappointed. The produce was fresh, but the dressing was half congealed as it must have been kept too cold. It was also a very, very small salad. The quantity more the size of a side salad - for over $12. I don't believe I'll be back as this is Chicago and there are much better options

Yelp
I want to love this place as a local Greek but they have gotten my order wrong 2/2. The first time, I went in myself so when I got to my car and saw the tzaziki all over it when I asked for no tzaziki- I went back in. Today I did uber eats no tomato no tzaziki and there was tons of both! Two for two in messing up an order is not a good look!

Lexy S.

Yelp
Ambiance is great! Service kind of sucked, stuff acted like they were doing me a favor putting my to go order together.. Food not good- kafta overcooked and black and the baklava had hard burnt sugar all over it. I will say the fries were nice and crispy. Overall it's over priced for the little amount of ehh, quality of food.

Yelp
In town from NYC and I eat Greek food all the time. I got a Spicy Siren with zucchini falafel. I may have been hungry but I like to think I'm pretty discerning. This was a 10/10 wrap; the pita was fresh and hot, the falafel must have been fresh out of the oil, the flavors were outstanding. I will be returning and recommending this place to friends and colleagues.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Got takeout. Salad was an odd combo of flavors. Veggies didn't taste fresh. Chicken was hard and cold and flavorless. Pita was stale. I threw everything out. Honestly don't even bother.

Daniel W.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food ambience and service. I know it's new and I was surprised to hear it!

Yelp
Not vegetarian friendly- portion sizes small, not a great experience. Staff friendly. ambiance nice.

Yelp
I really liked this place! Spicy Siren Pita Wrap with chicken was a great order. Employees were very friendly and walked me through the menu as I had never been here before. Would come back! Quick and easy lunch spot in Fulton Market.

Barbara M.

Yelp
Delicious! Shredded lamb was lean and the tzakiki was so good! The Greek fries are a must! Thank you SO much for having a gluten free pita...what a treat that we got to enjoy the same wrap as others! :)

A K.

Yelp
Everything we had was incredibly greasy. The pies had pastry dough that was saturated with oil. The zucchini chips were leaving pools of oil in the box and on napkins.

Rame Y.

Yelp
Ordered the classic bowl and it was very dry and the ingredients were not fresh. I was very disappointed from this as I was looking forward to trying this new place in town. Very disappointed.

Emily M.

Yelp
To be fair I'm not Greek, but the green goddess wrap with grilled veggie and the spicy feta dip were amazing! They were super fast to get it out and the pita was fluffy and chewy!

Jim R.

Yelp
Very cool place, however food is NOT good. Pita was hard and crunchy, chicken was cold, and flavors did not mix well. The overall presentation resembled vomit

Alex L.

Yelp
Amazing Greek food best I've had in the Chicago area very authentic and Greek owned! My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Greece and very close to the quality of food there 10/10!!

Jeanette U.
