It was a meh experience. I was looking for a good college town pizza place. This had good reviews so I thought I would give it a try.
I had cheese sticks with marinara. The cheese sticks tasted old or freezer burned. The marina tasted canned, and not even a good canned brand.
The garlic knots were OK. Not much garlic oil on there and all were so uniform they could have also been frozen.
The pizza was pizza, you would find better pizza at any delivery place. It wasn't horrible Pizza but definitely not 4.5+ stars pizza.
Poor service, low staff. Only one persoj working orders and tables. Three guys hanging out in the back. No silverware on my table.
Hideaway should come to Denton and put these guys out of business. So much opportunity for a real pizza and beer place to just disrupt the market and this is an easy market share to take. Secret: buy some vintage pizza ovens, not conveyer belts. Sell beer people can drink while they wait for the pizza to come out. Make it fun for college kids. Put it downtown or near the college Make it family friendly. I promise you will make money.
If you read this and happen to create that pizza place, invite me sometime for a slice and a pint to share the wealth.
