The Best Restaurants in Denton | Eater Dallas

"If pizza is what the heart wants, then it wants to order from Pizza Capri’s. It slings New York-style pies with hand-tossed thin crusts that make for oversized slices. This spot sticks to the classics, with a few modern pizzas thrown in — and if those don’t do it, there is an option to build from the full menu of options. The fried cheese is worth adding to an order. The decor is a pretty bare-bones pizzeria but clean and modern. It also offers takeout." - Courtney E. Smith

Chicago Restaurants Brace for Possible Shelter-In-Place Order | Eater Chicago

"A family-run pizza chain owned by the suburban mayor’s family; the mayor’s background as a restaurateur informs his sensitivity to how the pandemic is affecting the industry. The suburban shelter-in-place order that he announced permits carryout and delivery, and his personal ties to local restaurants were highlighted in the discussion of mitigation measures and economic impacts." - Ashok Selvam

The pizzas were really good—we loved them! We ordered a large Margherita, a large supreme and a small veggie for to-go. Both the supreme and veggie had a generous amount of toppings and cheese, and the Margherita was delicious as well. the dough was also tasty and perfectly chewy. So far the best pizza place I know! This will definitely be our go to place from now on. I definitely recommend this place. keep up the good work!

Best pizza in texas hands down. Look out nyc, Texas does your pizza better. The ingredients are so fresh it's unfair. Small details like they cut their Caesar salad everyday shows in the freshness. I got a Margherita pizza and good god, it beats a majority of nyc pizza joints i went to at when I lived there.

Update: We've been back a number of times and they keep hitting the mark. Just had the Philly Cheese steak, it was good, could have more meat but for the price and size of sandwich, still a good deal. We visited here because we saw the high rating and we were not disappointed. We ordered 2 pizzas and lasagna and ate at the restaurant. The food came out quickly, hot and fresh. The pizza is thin crust NY style with a good amount of cheese. The lasagna was different than what I'm used to but still tasted good and the sauce was good. Lots of parking of parking too!

The pizza was really good. I had the White Pizza with added Canadian Bacon. Co-diners had the Meatlovers and the Italian Supreme and commented on how good they were. The atmosphere is roomy, clean and appealing. The service was ok; the only person we saw was nice but did not interact with us at all aside from taking our order and bringing our food. We did not feel like our business was appreciated.. not even a "good-bye" or a "come back". 🤷‍♀️

The pasta is al dente. The sauces are excellent. Some of the best meatballs I've ever had. Italian sausage was spicy and excellent. The tiramasu is perfect. I really enjoyed everything I have ordered. The only thing is the atmosphere is store front sterile. Plain! Really love the food here.

It was a meh experience. I was looking for a good college town pizza place. This had good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I had cheese sticks with marinara. The cheese sticks tasted old or freezer burned. The marina tasted canned, and not even a good canned brand. The garlic knots were OK. Not much garlic oil on there and all were so uniform they could have also been frozen. The pizza was pizza, you would find better pizza at any delivery place. It wasn't horrible Pizza but definitely not 4.5+ stars pizza. Poor service, low staff. Only one persoj working orders and tables. Three guys hanging out in the back. No silverware on my table. Hideaway should come to Denton and put these guys out of business. So much opportunity for a real pizza and beer place to just disrupt the market and this is an easy market share to take. Secret: buy some vintage pizza ovens, not conveyer belts. Sell beer people can drink while they wait for the pizza to come out. Make it fun for college kids. Put it downtown or near the college Make it family friendly. I promise you will make money. If you read this and happen to create that pizza place, invite me sometime for a slice and a pint to share the wealth.

We followed the advice of other Google reviewers, and I'm glad we did! The pizza was definitely a 5 here! The sauce is not sweet and has a nice homemade taste to it. They are not stingy with the toppings, and the crust is nice and thin and has good flavor. The salad was fresh, cold, and served on a cold dish, which added to the freshness of the salad. Finally, my dad had the massive Stromboli, which he said was good but slightly over salted, but with a slight adjustment, he would order it again. My son had the fettuccine Alfredo, and he said he was in heaven!!! Despite showing up close to closing time, the service and the quality of the food did not suffer. Thank you for the recommendation, my fellow reviewers. It did not disappoint!
