The best pizza in Coney Island. The grandma slice is to die for, and their regular slice (cheese slice) tastes like old Mew Yrok Pizza. Get it extra hot!! You won't regret it!

I consider myself a pretty big fan of pizza. I've been to many pizza places in my life. Between my husband and I, this is our top favorite pizza of anywhere in the world. Keep it simple with cheese or pepperoni. And add an extra slice because you'll definitely want more.

Tried Pizza on the Run and was pleasantly surprised! The pizza was absolutely delicious and ready in just 15 minutes. The place shows a bit of wear and tear, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Prices are a little on the higher side, likely due to the location near Coney Island and the beach—but overall, a solid spot for a quick and tasty bite.

I’ve been going here for decades. The slices are huge, the quality is wonderful, and they give a generous portion of cheese and sauce per slice(bc the original owners are back). The garlic knots are pretty good too. Definitely recommend this place! Just a tad bit sketch when waiting if ur not used to it. But the owners and workers are really nice

I’m Brooklyn and I’m all over NY and this slice is the best!! I traveled coast to coast and I’m talking any where. I live in Orlando but I’m back often and I stop here every day when back home!!

Good slice with a good fold and a nice, crispy, crust. The slice was heavier on the cheese than anything else which may be preferable to some, but not to those looking for a more balanced slice. Friendly staff and quick service.

So we’re back in Brooklyn, the home of pizza. Pizza on the run was pretty decent. The runny cheese was excessive and the slices were BIG. The problem was, there was no bathroom😫😫😫. I was a little annoyed by that but I’ll let it slide this time. Next time, I will not be so generous NY!!!! Also, the two-liter soda was classic.

This has been my go to place for pizza for nearly 20 years.the guys in their are real cool.they know how to make delicious pizza,hot sandwiches,beef patty with cheese,pepperoni and coco bread,which u have to try.a large pie if i am correct goes for 22 dollars with a free 2 liter soda.if u are around coney island and want a good quality delicious pizza then go here to pizza on the run i definitely recommend it.u can't go no wrong.😃👍😃👍

When I walk pass this pizza shop. From the outside looking in I said oh no. But once I was able to read the Yelp reviews and read so many positive feedback. I said I would give it a try on this Friday afternoon. I'm not going like it was a packed house. So I know they food has to be fresh and flavorful. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. He answer all the questions I asked him on the different types of pizza that was available. I then quickly put in my order. He made sure to repeat my order and then told me it would be a 15 to 18 min wait. Since I order a large pie. I had 3 slices back to back. The cheese pizza was freshly prepared in my face which is a bonus for me. And once they pop that pizza in the oven I know I was going to demolish it. Excellent service

They have friendly staff and delicious food at great prices, I've been eating here since I was a child and it brings me back to the good old days

One of my favorite pizza spots in Brooklyn. I highly recommend it! I think the workers there are also super kind and helpful. There is no long wait and they also offer good options for drinks & sides. Super yummy pizza!

This pizza is delicious!!! The service is great, the ambience was very energetic, it was definitely worth making a trip when I come to Coney Island!!! I would definitely come back here someday!!!!

They have the best pizza they are very sweet I love everyone and every slice of pizza they make unless it's the pork pepperoni :( the service was amazing they were great to me and my family and they are very fast in making food! The ambiance was amazing they are a very amazing place to get pizza and I give a 5 star forever never give up and make it a family business!!!

I think the pizza here is pretty good, I always get a large regular pie. I'd recommend walking over to this spot instead of the one closer to the train.

If you've got a prodigious quantity of delicious Coney Island Beer (located at Coney Island Brewery a couple blocks away), and five large On The Run pies, you can throw a great party. If you invite other people it'll be an even better party, but that means you don't get all the beer and pizza to yourself. On The Run is a good slice joint that separates themselves by also having customer service DOWN. I walked in, ordered five pies for delivery, and asked them to throw in 60 zeppole.* The pies were delivered on time with plates and napkins, cut into 16 slices each like I asked, and both the pizza and the zeppole were fresh, hot, and tasty. No problems. This is my favorite Coney Island pizza joint now. Sorry Totonno's, you're dead to me. ______________ *They were out of zeppole, but the old guy working the dough behind the counter looked up at me, saw how handsome I was, and said, "I got you."

I ordered two knishes and the worker took a dirty yellow rag and cleaned the knife off with the same rag very unsanitary

This is the Neighborhood top pizza shop, authentic nyc pizza. Great crust on a thin slice, thick mozzarella over sauce. Very reasonable prices for satisfying taste of a fresh slice.

Way too pricey! Cheese not melted enough and crust is as soggy as a sponge! No flavor on the tomato sauce! How embarassing

We ate here because my son was hungry and I'm glad that I did. I just figured that I was just going to eat a regular slice and there would nothing more to it. That was not the case here at On the Run. My slice was cooked to perfection, just enough cheese and very soft crust, not burnt. The pizza was so good that I told the owner that it was one of the best pizza slices that I've had. There are about four tables for dine in orders and there is window bar stool seating as well. The pepperoni rolls are the real deal here, not those small teasers that don't put a dent in your hunger pangs. They have just enough meat and cheese to satisfy you. Next time I'm in the neighborhood and I'm in the mood for pizza, there will be no doubt where I'll be ordering from......On the Run pizza.

This is by far the best pizza I have had in Brooklyn. While traveling through NY My expectations were high for a slice of pie. This slice is the only one that exceeded all my expectations.

Price is too high, largest piazza $35, is crazy man, also taste is normal.i will not recommend this restaurant.

Make sure you type in address for they have 2 locations. Customer service was great, place seemed clean, Pizza was hot and ready, even with me being a block at the other location ‍. They were patient and guided me right to the front door. Once in, made new good friends and ate the pizza in the back seat it was so good! Def got an out of town customer 4 lyfe!

This is coney island's premier New York style pizza! Food is great and service is awesome. Only compliant was that they didn't want to compromise on the 2 liter soda that came with the their large pie. I don't even like soda, but I had to take it because they didn't want to give me zeppolies ($2) instead... otherwise solid 5 star for food and service!

On The Run Pizza you are absolutely fantastic, I had a spectacular experience here today. The vibe is great. Everything I've tried here was flavorful. Service was amazing and everyone working here was really nice and generous. I almost hate to give 5 stars cause I want to keep On The Run Pizza a secret.

I get it's good for the price but C'mon the sauce was undercooked. Cheese was subpar. I just don't think it was good enough to run against other local pizzerias. The up side is that I fed 6 people pizza, garlic twists (those were really good) and waters for under $30. So, I guess in that sense it's hard to beat.

OH MY GOD! This place is the holy Mecca of pizza thanks to my husband who introduced me to this place on Memorial Day weekend. I'm that girl who LOVES pizza. I mean if you were to draw blood you couldn't because thick tomato sauce would come out! And this place is probably one of the best I've had! They've got super quick service and fresh pizza every 10 mins when it's busy. It's the perfect thickness of crust to sauce to cheese ratio. Pictures do not do this place justice and the prices are incredibly worth it!!

This is a small pizzeria tucked away near the stillwell ave train stop in Coney island.....it's a local gem. Pizza slices are huge, and delicious. That classic flavor of the dough.....chewy yet crisp, hard to explain. Let your tongue due the talking. Btw great wings and rolls and sandwiches as well. All big size than usual and taste is really better than usual!!!! We always order from here and only here lol

I work for NYCT and we get Pizza from here all the time I have to say it's the best pizza spot in Brooklyn hands down

This is the best pizza I've had in my life! I recommend the grandma slices OMG. It's a great price. Delivery is always fast ! And all the guys are nice that work there.

They do not fear cheese here! Best pizza in Coney Island! I came here with a friend to see the fireworks on Friday night and decided to grab a bite beforehand. Oh my lawdyy. This pizza is mouthwatering. The cheese is so chewy and stringy! Sauce is there but not too excessive to have a droppy pizza. And the dough is baked to its perfect crisp.

If you're looking for good pizza on the cheap in Brooklyn, come all the way down to Coney Island! They are super generous with the cheese here! I ordered a mushroom slice which already had a decent amount of cheese on it, but me being the cheese addict I of course again requested to add extra cheese on it. It was cheesy heaven! So come on down after you take a swim in the ocean!

This is definitely my favorite place to get food in my neighborhood for the last decade. Probably the best pizza for miles. I have no idea what the first reviewer is talking about, this place has more than "plain pizza". people are so used to getting slices in Manhattan topped with 3 lbs of crap for $5 a slice, normal pizza must be invisible to them. but back to the good stuff. This pizza is great. it's so big it doesn't really fit in the box. most of the guys who work there are really friendly and helpful. there are seats at this one unlike the one by the train station. make sure to try the meatball hero and the pepperoni rolls. This is a local pizza place and it is local approved.

Totally surprised by this hidden gem right in Coney Island! Got a Sicilian and the sauce was very tasty. But only get it if you're really hungry, i had trouble finishing mine because it was so filling. The crust was so crisp and they're heavy on the cheese (which i like). I would love to try the Grandma slice next time!!! Get an order to Zeppoles too!

For what it's worth it's honestly really good the service is reasonable and the workers are excellent I ordered delivery and man was the pizza great definitely deserves 5 stars.

Im here visiting from out of town and i must say this pizza joint was undoubtedly delicious! We ordered a large sausage pizza and lrge spaghetti with meatballs. My son and his friend enjoyed every bit of it. I would definately recommend this place

this place is one the great pizzerias of Brooklyn. the dough is light the cheese gooey. I just got a plain slice and I can see why this place is top rated the pizza is delicious the place is really small, not many seats, but who cares about that when the pizza is that good

Huge slices for cheap! Love this pizza place. Can get crowded but it's really good. You can get like 2 slices and a soda for $5 you can't beat it, I barely finish the whole slice. The workers are cool too. This place you can eat inside, the other by Surf is just take out. Never tried there platters but I give a CHEEZ UP for the pizza.

Quick service, reasonable prices, decent pizza. We picked up a pie to eat on the beach. For $20, we got a pepperoni pizza and a free 2-liter bottle of soda. Unfortunately, they didn't have any cups, but it wasn't a big deal.

Best pizza in Brooklyn the slices are big cheesy and cooked to perfection,my son also loves their pepperoni rolls and chicken baked zitti.

One of the better places to eat in still run down Coney Island. The slices are the biggest in Brooklyn and the $5 special for two of them plus a soda is a great deal. Served crisp (if asked), tasty sauce and plenty of cheese. Doesn't seem like there's much else to eat besides regular pizza. Unlike its twin on Stillwell, there is some seating here, and the place is clean enough.
