"Like all good things in London, this burgeoning chainlet is growing fast. Once a beloved food truck with a cleverly built-in pizza oven, it now has not one but two (as of last week) bricks-and-mortar outposts. The thin-crust pizza at all their charmingly lo-fi locations is superb, as are the negronis and affogato. At the new spot off Carnaby, we’re looking forward to fried pizza courtesy of their first authentic Neapolitan fryer—the guys spent a couple of weeks in Naples recently to learn the art of frying pretty much everything. There's also a location in Soho."

Cool spot neopolitan style pizza in Exmouth Market. Note, they have a few other locations, however walked in despite online reservations were seemingly available. Great service. Would flag only 2-3 vegetarian pizza options but team was also very accommodating! Loads of seating inside and outside.

The food is amazing, a stranger went up and recommended it to us and we were amazed. The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful. Shoutout to the kind waiter, Lukas, who gave us a great time and experience. (P.S) - Best pizza in london I’ve had so far. 10/10

Amazing authentic Italian pizza! The service is great and the staff were very nice! Every bite of the pizza or the “extras” are crunchy and flavorful! One of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried! The hard part of the pizza is really tasty too, so I recommend to order a sauce (which I pretty am sure being an option in the menu). The pizza itself, it’s kinda small with reference to other pizzas that I’ve tried so I recommend to order one pizza per person as “personal” pizza. It was a great experience and I am glad that we ended it with delicious vanilla ice cream that was on the menu with a few other flavors. Really recommend if you are near the area and you are craving pizza.

Fairly good Neapolitan style pizza - clearly influenced by Sorbillo and Da Michele. And probably dematteo. Sadly, not the same touch. £15 for a fairly small pizza & not generous with the toppings either. Shame it was burnt. Service was excellent and very friendly staff.

My partner and I came to Exmouth today hoping to brighten up this miserable weather with a nice lunch and we’re so glad we came here. From the moment we walked in, the team welcomed us with warm smiles that instantly lifted our mood. We sat inside by the window, cosy and dry, with the mouthwatering smell of pizza filling the air. The restaurant has a bit of an old school charm, but it’s spotless, and honestly, the atmosphere is made even better by the amazing team. We had a lovely chat with one of the staff members, which made us feel even more at home. The food? Absolutely delicious. And the highlight was seeing the chef bring our pizzas straight from the oven to our table…still piping hot, with a big smile that really made the moment special. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Big thanks to the wonderful team for making our rainy day feel so much brighter!

Everything was great - quick service, delicious pizza. The only downside being the price - bit expensive for what you get.

Hungry! Late afternoon but what a nice day, no a lovely day. I’ve been at home all day sorting out paperwork, trying to fix the hoover, fit the printer with a new ink cartridge omg! All of this whilst chatting to friends on phone so not really concentrating on anything. However… I fixed everything and now my reward! Pizza Pilgrims to get takeaway but also decided on a beer. Front of house absolutely charming made me so comfortable and happy and the Pepperoni with the hot honey is awesomeness on a plate! I had honey on pepperoni here first, about two years ago these people make a magical pizza! Don’t all arrive at once, It’s my favorite secret! Shush! X

Yelp
OK OK... I like pizza! I love pizza! I decided to go against my discomfort and try a regular pizza... pizza pilgrims offers a pepperoni pizza with hot spicy chili oil honey... We thought what the heck let's go for it! Unfortunately my palate did not care for this , the pizza was very soggy and the chili oil was infused to such a high level it actually made my lips burn... And not in a hot, burning, sexy way... The staff was extremely friendly as we got there after 10 and they were closing down but they served us outside on regular plates which was really nice.

Yelp
Ordered take away from pizza pilgrims and it was a solid pizza. Pizza is always best in store when it's hot and fresh out of the oven, but even after the deliver, the pizza did not disappoint. The crust here is definitely thicker than other places, so if you prefer a thicker crust, pizza pilgrims may be more up your alley!

Yelp
This is more than just a pizza place. My friend and I spent the summer abroad in London and Pizza Pilgrims was always our go to. The staff is incredibly welcoming. The main hostess is so kind and lovely. The chef is a delight and makes a delicious pizza pie. Everything on their menu impeccable I honestly have never eaten an entire pizza so fast. Specifically, I can recommend the mushroom truffle pizza and to add their chili oil to the crust for the best bite of your life. The entire experience at Pizza Pilgrims is wonderful and we will miss it so much. If you're near Exmouth Market you must pay them a visit and tell them your two gal friends from California sent you. Truly the kindest, most hard working and genuine staff. Pizza Pilgrims, best pizza in London.

Yelp
Excellent pizza. Small by American standards, but delicious! I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I really like Pizza Pilgrims - so much that I could probably eat an entire pizza by myself - it took me a lot of restraint from eating the entire thing solo. I had eaten at Franco Manca a few weeks ago, and I preferred the pizza here at Pizza Pilgrims over Franco Manca. The crust was similar to Franco Manco in that it was like a sourdough/Neapolitana style dough, with a bit of chewiness and a thin crust. I think I liked this more than Franco Manca because of the toppings (there were more choices that were more up my alley: nduja (spicy pork), they had a white pizza with sausage, mushrooms and truffle oil, a white pizza with sausage, broccoli. They have a calzone, normal margherita or marinara pizza. The pizzas range from £5.50 for marinara, to about £11, but the average is £8-9. I loved the nduja pizza (£9) - it was pretty simple with just tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, and the nduja. I could have eaten the entire thing by myself (I almost did but saved one slice for the next day) The crust to me was thin but not as soggy as Franco Manca, and I liked the cheese and tomato sauce better. I'm definitely coming back to try some of the other pizzas. Where it felt flat was the salad -- I tried to be healthy and it back-fired on me. For £4, I got a small amount of arugula, some parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. I could have made this at home for £1. Skip this and get some other breadsticks or pizza instead. If you're in the area and craving pizza, this is a very solid option. The pizza comes out super quickly - I was there late one weeknight and the pizza was ready in just minutes. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way across town to eat here, but if you're in the area, this a good, reasonably priced option -- minus the salad (skip that!) The restaurant itself is pretty small, so don't come with a huge group. 2-6 people is probably an idea party size. I'll be back here again. 4 to 4.5 stars for great pizza! I haven't compared this to Homeslice yet, so not sure how this stacks up against that!

Yelp
This was a nice little place that was good for the price you pay. The pizza was tasty and we had great service. We also like the desert

Yelp
Very tasty pizza. Dough is to at the homeslice level IMO, but then again, what is? Shared the fennel sausage and calzone with my companion. Calzone was better I think but both were good. For pizza and 2 drinks (mine was soft) we paid 15 each i think. Would be back but keen to try other places 1st. For example, Santore down the street has even better Neapolitan pizza with more flavours for about the same prize. It's more of a traditional Italian restaurant though, so depends what vibe you're after!

Yelp
While I've had Pizza Pilgrims before, it was always from their van at food events, never in a restaurant setting. We were out Geocaching and ended up at Exmouth Market on a non-market day, and I spied Pizza Pilgrims and decided I needed to try their pizza with the comfort of a chair and a knife and fork, and I wasn't disappointed! It's a small place, but as we arrived at around 4pm on a Saturday, it was pretty empty. We were quickly seated downstairs. We decided to share an aubergine parmigiana pizza, and that we'd have the Nutella and ricotta ring for dessert. The pizza came and it was delicious - the crust was full of flavour, and the aubergine, basil, garlic and tomatoes all blended together to make a delicious pizza. It was actually pretty filling and as we didn't arrive starving, we decided we just didn't have room for the dessert. It was a pretty good deal for £9, too. I'll be back when I'm hungrier for sure!

Yelp
A new @pizzapilgrims in Exmouth Market is opening this Monday and I was fortunate to go eat there this weekend. One cocktail I haven't tried before was 'Lola's Cherry Cola': Prosecco, Disoranno, Chinotto, Glacé Cherry. What's not to like about these ingredients. This was light sweet and refreshing. My sort of cocktail. For mains we shared the veggie of aubergine, and two meats of porchetta and salami. Thought the salami was jam packed with toppings and had a great smokiness to it. Aubergine could have done with a bit more on it. The 'Peppa Pig' Special might be a new branch at Exmouth Market special but had to order and try. A margherita base with Porchetta and Sweet & Spicy Poponcini peppers. Was good. Still preferred the salami I think. For dessert we had a Nutella and Ricotta Salted ring. This was awesome. No words. Also had a quite strange mix of ice cream and espresso. You literally had to pour the hot espresso into the cold ice cream and mix. Weird. Tasted like coffee ice cream by the end; Which I liked, but it was a bit of a strange concept. Seems like a drunken idea one night down the pub. "Oi oi...you know what would be amazing?...coffee chasers with ice cream.....nah mate better still you know what, just pour the f-ing thing into the ice cream...hot into cold innit. Pizza Pilgrims very own Heston science experiment". NOTE: I just realised it's called an 'Affogato' and is quite common in Italy. Learn something new everyday! Customers can also design their own pizza boxes. Of which they are kept by Pizza Pilgrims. Cool Idea. Some are on the walls. Decor of which is nice. Footloose and Lethal Weapon italian posters on the wall too. I do wish the place as whole was bigger though. All in all when tomato pizzas are this good it's hard to fault it. Service was fantastic by the way. They are so chilled and friendly. Really hope it goes well for them. Third branch but a banging location.

Yelp
Pizza are easy. All you need is good dough, a wood-fired oven and some excellent quality toppings. Easy peasy, in theory. And yet so many places get it wrong. But not Pizza Pilgrims. I have many favourite (basically half the menu) but I'd especially recommend the Fennel sausage white pizza and the signature 'Nduja (spicy ground sausage). And if you're feeling especially creative, you can also submit a new piece to Pizza Pilgrims' pizza box wall of fame!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our lunch at Pizza Pilgrims! So glad they weren't closed when we went late afternoon, we were so hungry on our way home and it was the perfect place to stop for lunch. Wasn't sure if I could finish the whole pie by myself, but actually had no trouble doing so! They have plenty of toppings on the pizza as well, which was very appreciated by someone who really enjoys their pizza toppings. Not the best pizza I've had in central London, but tasty nontheless. Not very expensive either and lovely location.

Yelp
Currently my favourite pizza heaven (piece 'a heaven, geddit? Cool.) in London. There are now 3 PP outposts, but I've raved in the past about my deep, burning love for Exmouth Market so it's probably no surprise that this is my favourite. No reservations policy by phone/online, but you can in-person make a reservation. This is a tickity inconvenient if you're not local and want to guarantee some deliciousness in your pie-hole before you go full-on HANGRY, but...I forgive you, PP. Mainly because your staff is rad, and there's the good ol' Exmouth Arms several steps away to kill time with a drink. Menu is pretty bare bones (and I say that in the best of ways). Pizzas are 8 - 10 (ish) and it's possible to supplement with some fancy olives, nduja (did I spell that right?) or anchovies, etc. (ranging from 0.50 to 2.50). Although I'm usually a tomato-based pizza gal, I heartily (and hungrily) recommend the white pizzas here. The one with house made fennel sausage, basil and broccolini is, erm...TASTY LIKE WHOAH. Super-solid (and interesting) veggie options like a chunkily-cut portobello mushroom pie, or an aubergine/marinara combo that mimics the much-loved eggplant parm of my childhood. Each table has some spicy oil to douse atop the *perfectly charred and puffy crust*. Do this. Recommended. Dooooo this. Great brew options, and the classic Italian options of aperol spritz and negroni and limoncello; when in doubt I always grab a negroni. These are not my favourite - they are harsh, somehow - but well priced and topped with a generous slab of citrus, so I'm certainly not NOT (double negative) going to knock 'em back. Dessert is never my bag (I seriously considered getting one of their garlic pizza breads to close out my meal instead), but with gelato from Gelupo it's not a bad option. Go for the vanilla topped with olive oil and salt. My dinner +1 asked (literally): "gee, is that disgusting?". Empirical evidence shows: nope. Try it. Dessert pizzas (featuring nutella, I believe; hey-oh!) also an option. DRANKS, PIZZA, A SPLIT DESSERT: in/out for 20 pounds-ish. You treat me right, PP. Yelp note: LUNCHTIME CALZONE AND PIZZA SOUP FOR 5GBP. Pizza heaven, indeed.

Their £5 pizza soup with pizza sauce and accompanying calzone wins my best office lunch ever award

Yelp
Went for lunch with a friend. If you only have a short time for lunch either go early or later, there is a queue between 12:30 1:30 but after that it became much quieter. Pizza was great and the staff were also very friendly.

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall pizza place! Low-key atmosphere but with quite a few upscale options including aubergine and truffle pizzas. Decent beer/wine/cocktail list, too. Inside seats about a dozen. Couple of benches outside will fit a few more, so best to eat here in couples or groups of four. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Having just had Pizza Pilgrims again from the van last week, it reminds me that I never got around to review the time I actually went to one of their restaurants back in April. While at the street food side of things, often it's just a margherita or mariana (well I say "just" - the margherita is better than the place in Italian which claims to have invented it), whereas in the restaurant there's a big long list of possibilities. Having done some walking, we were very happy to come across the store and headed inside. Intrigued by the idea of the aubergine pizza and the dessert pizza, we decided to order one savoury pizza between the two of us and then see what happens. I'm glad we did as I would never have been able to finish one on my own - and we ended up both being so full that the dessert pizza never happened. Great service, tremendous pizza (these guys just keep pushing the bar higher and higher where it comes to Italian style pizza, I swear!) and a cooky neat little restaurant (we sat in the basement). Love Pizza Pilgrims, I only wish there was 500 restaurants instead of 5. This is a chain that serious needs to be enormous such is the quality of their food, the experience and the price point. Puts Pizza Express to shame.

Yelp
Popped in at noon to wait out the rain today and found something to warm my belly. For about a fiver, you can get a generously sized personal marinara (no cheese, fresh basil and lots of sauce). No frills, big on satisfaction. It came hot and the utensils were useful. Crust is divine and cheese-less makes it a lighter meal. The guys in the kitchen and seating/hosting are all really nice and laidback - great vibe and a good find.

Yelp
We were in London at the end of August and stopped at Pizza Pilgrims on the recommendation of a local. First of all, the pizza is fantastic and reasonably priced. Secondly, the staff at Pizza Pilgrims is lovely. After a mixup in the kitchen that delayed our meal, the staff was extremely generous and handled their error gracefully, which was much appreciated by two tired, hungry travelers. I worked in food service for years, and there's an art to handling customer service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really good pizza! Ordered through UberEats several times and was never disappointed. Fast service and great pizza. Loved the margherita, really nice crust and the ingredients tasted high quality. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area if you're in the mood for pizza.

Yelp
One of the cheapest places to have pizza in town with good quality. Cleckernwell's store is part of a chain of Pizza Pilgrims around London with friendly staff and oven baked pizzas. Pizzas always come fast (don't know how they manage that), with a nice dough. Not the best pizza you can have, but good enough to make you visit it again. Portobello Mushroom-truffle pizza is my favourite one :)

Yelp
The pizza here is good. However, the service was disappointing and let Exmouth Market branch down. Went on a Friday at 9. Was told 20 mins for a table for 2; no problem. Left our name and went for a walk. Came back, told 2 mins and we waited out front. 15 minutes later, still waiting, while three other groups of the same number who arrived after us got seated straight away. Had a word with chap at the front, who said be with us in a minute. Went downstairs to check a table and gave it to a couple who had just arrived. Would have left at this point, since they clearly did not want to seat us except for the fact that my friend had never been and wanted to try the pizza I had been raving about. At this point there was no one else waiting and a couple who were leaving gave us a heads up to take their table. I asked the chap at front if it would be ok to take their table and he was pretty indifferent. Appreciate things get busy but this was just really poor. Food was good but the service / table management left a sour taste.
