The 16 Best Pizza Spots In Dallas - Dallas - The Infatuation

"While some people focused on their bird watching hobby, an amateur baker opened the small but mighty Carina Pizzeria, channeling his love for Roman-style, thin-crust pizzas. Swing in for a bite after hauling shopping bags around Preston Center. Since it's a tiny space, you'll have to squeeze into the dining room for rolled sandwiches and crispy pizza crusts made from tangy sourdough (better yet, take your pies to go or get it delivered). We particularly love spending lunch with the Diva, a sweet and spicy red pie with pepperoni, jalapeños, and hot honey, or the Bella, a white pie with roast mushrooms, scallions, and truffle oil. Simple, but mighty." - kevin gray

Tiny Preston Center pizzeria from a sourdough-obsessed baker turning out Roman‑style thin crusts, seasonal toppings, and even Georgian cheese pies. D Magazine praised the precision and character in the crust and the quietly ambitious menu.

I was looking for the best pizza in Dallas for almost a year, I think I found the place. Pizzeria carina is owned by a gentleman who knows his art of dough and sourdough starter. He is not messing with his ingredients he is focusing on the simple ingredients with almost attention to detail which delivers the best flavored pizza. They do small seating area where you can sit down and have a quick bite. The owner is very friendly and knows his craft he was very patient with every customer with caring service. We ordered the Gnocchi with pesto sauce, the Nora pizza and Margherita pizza. Each and every dish were outstanding its simple ingredients with the right hit and balance. Margherita is simple and perfection I would go to this place in a heartbeat.

Pizzeria Carina is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Dallas. The owner is not only incredibly kind but also truly passionate about his craft. You can tell he knows his stuff. Every detail shines through, from the high-quality ingredients to the Roman-style thin sourdough crust that’s perfectly crisp yet flavorful. Absolutely delicious. And don’t skip dessert! The tiramisu is honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. This place is a gem.

Google
A small hole in the wall pizza place that one can immediately tell that they are working for quality. The Nona’s meatballs were light and soft in a fresh tomato sauce. The pizza is thin (but not the crispy style) and cooked to the right level of leopard spotting. The rolled and docked pizza crust has an even thickness with no cornice. The sauce is light, fresh, and heavily applied to the dough.

Google
I’m often on the hunt for good thin crust pizza. I’ve found the answer to my elusive quest for the crispy flatbread with toppings. The pizza from Pizzeria Carina was thin, had a crispy crust, and the sauce and toppings were delicious. The pear salad and meatballs were also exceptionally good. We will definitely order again the next time we’re craving thin crust pizza.

Google
Saw their video on Slice’s YouTube channel and realized it was minutes away from me! Ordered it online for dinner pickup. Got the Diva and the Carina. The pizzas were clearly constructed with care and baked to perfection. The pepperoni was high-quality and had great taste. I was reluctant to get pepperoni and have it be just greasy and salty, but no, this was the real deal. The pear and pistachio was a combination that came together nicely. The dough is the star of the show and the crust got better with every bite. The undercarriage on both pizzas was tight and crispy with ZERO flop! I am excited to try more of their customs in the future and even dine-in. Keep up the remarkable pizza and stay true to your roots!

Google
Just had lunch at Pizzeria Carina, and it absolutely hit the spot! The Margherita pizza was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the service was fast and friendly. It’s a convenient go-to lunch spot for office workers in the area—quick service without sacrificing quality. As a real estate agent who’s always exploring the best neighborhood gems, I love sharing spots like this with clients new to the area. Whether you're between showings or meetings, or just want a laid-back lunch, Pizzeria Carina delivers every time. Places like this are part of what makes our community such a great place to live and work!

Google
An excellent pizza, but they were cooked differently despite being ordered the same. The crust on my margherita was not as done as my other one. Definitely still recommend. If I lived in the area I’d be back and probably update my review. Food was fast too!

Google
We ordered the meatballs, gnocchi, monti sandwich, and 2 grandma slices. The slices- straightforward and very good. Meatballs- pretty good with a nice zesty sauce. 4 good-size meatballs per order. Gnocchi- pretty basic with a good vodka sauce. Monti sandwich— EXCELLENT. Thin-slice mortadella with ricotta and pistachio pesto on an excellently-toasted bun. One of the most-satisfying sandwiches we’ve had in a long time.

Yelp
Sweet owners and the pizza was really tasty!! I love thin crust! The sweet potato fries were really yummy also! I've only carried out since the place is small but plan on taking my husband soon and dining in!

Yelp
I think I've found a new lunch spot to add to my rotation. They have a daily lunch special that includes personal sized pizza and drink for a reasonable amount of money. The pizza was made fresh and handed to me hot and fresh from the oven, it was delicious. The gentleman behind the counter seemed to be the owner and he was really helpful and polite. I anticipate frequenting this place regularly.

Yelp
I was told this place was great,.. so I'll try them out. I ordered a pepperoni and Italian sausage. I got 90% pepperoni and 10% Italian sausage (if even that!) It was so greasy I used four paper towels to sop up the grease before I could eat it. The crust was crunchy and nice, but the overall experience was nothing I want to have again. Too many other places with significantly better pizza. Sorry guys. But good luck

Yelp
Great little pizza bistro. Thin crispy crust and creative ingredients. My wife and I shared the Monica.

Yelp
MAN, I wish this were closer to Irving. Good pizza is hard to come by in Dallas. Parking in the afternoon was a bit of a challenge, so don't be discouraged, just be patient. It is a small place with only about 4 or 5 eat-in tables. The owner will walk you through the highlights of the menu. The owner and I were chatting all things Pizza, and I was saying how much I love Tony's in SF, and that i have met him a few times and chatted with him. And of course this guy knows Tony too. "It's a small (pizza) world after all" We decided on the super thin margarita Skinny Marge pizza with sausage (he gets the sausage from some special place and it was delish, not that crappy small crumble crap a lot of places in Texas uses). We also got the Roadrunner sandwich that is the ode to Anthony Bourdain with the fried mortadella, and an order of the chick pea fries. My favorite thing was the pizza, it was indeed the thinest pizza crust I ever had, not too much sauce and little pieces of high quality sausage. The sandwich was also good, though I couldn't really detect that the mortadella was fried, the bread was perfect though. The chick pea fries were fine, I wouldn't order them again though.

Yelp
Excellent thin crust pizza in Preston Center. Thin, flavorful, with excellent sauce and the right amount of toppings. Order online and pick a time in the future, otherwise you might have to wait. No joke, there were at least 12 Uber Eats drivers there waiting for pizzas when I arrived. The manager was super friendly, but this place moves through a lot of pizza!
google avatar

Caroline Z.

Yelp
This was really solid pizza!! They have such a fun selection of different toppings, so many of which sound delicious. Toppings were fresh, good crust. Cute little interior, really meant for take out mostly I believe. Love that it's within walking distance!

Yelp
I had very high expectations of this pizza joint and they were all met! We got best recommendations on the order, and our super picky children couldn't stop eating the cheese curds appetizer. I couldn't believe it. If you enjoy thin Rome-style pizza crust with just the right amount of dough, cheese, sauce and toppings, you won't be disappointed. I knew I had to have the cheese boat, and I refused to share it, it was so good. Finally, we finished the meal with honey cake which is just delightful. Food came very quickly, and the owner and the staff worked really hard to make sure everyone had what they needed for the meal. I know we will be back. Oh my God, everything I wanted from pizza and then some!

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Super nice, accommodating and friendly owner. Convenient location. Stopped in here during Dallas Pizza week to try their 12" Margherita pizza for only $10. I was only going to eat one slice, but ate the whole pie! Yikes! In fact, it was so good, I ordered another to bring home for the family. Great menu with many good options. Give Pizzeria Carina a try, you'll be glad you did! We will be back!

Trey B.

Yelp
Amazing pizza and sandwiches. Quality ingredients. Great price. You can taste the passion in Eugene's food!

Yelp
Went in with my daughter to order a slice and we were told that no one could come and help us because they were both currently making pizzas. Clearly the open sign was on, but neither of the two people wanted to walk over to the counter.

Katrina Z.

Yelp
Love this place. Amazing pizza with quite a large variety, and, of course, the best chef. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Carina has quickly become my favorite pizza spot because of its Roman-style sourdough pizza. Their crust is wonderfully light and crispy, crafted from wild yeast, and offers half the calories of other pizzas. The menu features beautiful and creative pizzas as well as sourdough calzones, sandwiches , and a wide variety of appetizers. For dessert, their honey cake is a must try. The owner is a true artisan and every time we go there's something new to try on the menu. Today we tried the mozzarella sticks breaded with sourdough that were incredible. We try to go at least once a week because we crave it. Luckily, it's very easy to digest. My husband has been trying to lose weight and is always worried he'll be heavier the next morning, but amazingly, he's actually weighed less the morning following dinner at Carina's!

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars - I would! Hands down BEST pizza in Dallas! This place has phenomenal slightly charred thin and crispy Roman style sourdough Pizzas, delicious gourmet sandwiches, calzones, even unique desserts. Owner / chef Eugene is exceptionally good at his creations, making everything from scratch with high quality ingredients. I am a foodie and quite hard to please, but let me tell you - you will absolutely love Eugene's unique dishes. You must give this place a try. I guarantee, it will be your go-to for lunch and pizza. Great place for take out too.

Yelp
This is a local spot for us, and we've ordered takeout plenty of times in the past. We've never had a bad pie - they always have good flavors and plenty of options. This time, I tried something different and ordered a burger. Yeah, a burger at a pizza place. It was surprisingly delicious! The temperature was a bit off - I asked for medium rare and got medium, but the flavor was still spot on. Their service is always top-notch - friendly and helpful. The spicy veg ramen was really tasty. It had a great broth packed with umami and lots of veggies. The noodles were cooked perfectly. But it was too spicy for me, so I asked for a classic broth to tone it down. The original pork ramen is classic for a reason - it's amazing. The broth is warm and comforting, just the way a good ramen broth should be. The noodles soak up the flavor perfectly. I definitely recommend this place after a day of shopping. The food hits the spot!

Yelp
Great thin crust pizza. Owner is very meticulous and takes time to explain the menu. Quality ingredients

Rylee G.

Yelp
Pizzeria Carina is my new go-to for amazing pizza! Their Margherita is perfection--crispy crust, fresh mozzarella, and basil, all in perfect harmony. The crispy chickpea fries are a must-try too--golden, crunchy, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce. Friendly staff and great food make this place a gem!
google avatar

Terrance F.

Yelp
The pizza and meatballs were outstanding! The owner shared some suggestions with us and chatted about his pizza and what makes them unique. Will definitely be making a return visit soon. Some of the best pizza in Dallas if not the best!
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Oh my god this pizza is so damn good. WOW. Highly recommend. Good quality ingredients and some serious skills make Pizzeria Carina one of my favorite places in Dallas to go for pizza.

Martha R.

Yelp
I love this owner's passion for what he does and it reflects in the warmth and deliciousness of his pizzas and desserts. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Tonight was our first time to try Carina, but it won't be our last. We loved it. My Roman calzone was made with fresh dough, fresh whole milk mozzarella and ricotta, homemade tomato sauce, fresh basil. Omg! Delicious. My husband wanted a meatball sandwich, but they don't serve them at night. Instead, he ordered Nonna's Meatballs with an order of sourdough. He said the meatballs were succulent and fantastic. He l finished them and the second half of my pizza. As for the service, we ordered at about 6:20 on a rainy and cold Friday night. We had our order and were eating by 7:00. Amazing! And we cleaned our plates! Give Carina a try! You won't regret it.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
The best pizza in Dallas! The meatballs are scrumptious. The sandwiches are served in a delicious sourdough roll. Do not miss out. A must try and it will be your new favorite.

Yelp
Took the kids for a quick lunch. Food was so fresh and amazing, we got some Togo for dinner; too. The chickpea fries, baba dip, white bean dip, g-rocket salad, mortaza sandwich, multiple pizzas, and the dulce dessert were all great! Nice and casual for a relaxing meal and some grab and go, too! The staff and owner were also very friendly and informative. You could tell they definitely appreciated us coming in. Can't wait to go back!

Victoria D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious all fresh thin crust pizza! The toppings are amazing and the sourdough crust is to die for. Eugene really knows how to combine his ingredients and offers the most unique flavors. Arguably the healthiest option out there as far as pizzas go. Definitely coming back on my next carb cheat day . Well worth the drive all the way from McKinney.

E P.

Yelp
It's very small but bursting with personality place. They told me pizza is Sourdough and Roman Style. To me it is just great crispy pie

Brooke F.

Yelp
Okay the pizza here is amazing!!! The crust is thin and crispy. I had the Diva and loved it!
google avatar

Stan V.

Yelp
It is simply the best pizza I have had in years! After reading reviews here, we decided to go try this place ourselves. We had margherita & capricciosa and mortazza sandwich. The crusts on both were the best: crispy and tasty. You could pick either piece up, and they did not fold or sag. The sauce was excellent, and there was just the right amount of sauce on each pizza. The entire experience of eating at the restaurant reminded me of sitting in a pizza shop in the Italian neighborhood. Eugene puts out great pizza. Forget about the rest of the guys, that make Instagram pies for the "likes." You get a much better pizza here and friendly service to boot. And I almost forgot; it is BYOB. Yelp needs to add a six-star rating just for this place.
google avatar

Darcy P.

Yelp
I will begin with the pizza is very good. We ordered FULL SIZE cheese and the Peppa pizza as well as the chickpea app because it sounded interesting. The app was ok, not sure what all the rave reviews are over. It's kinda bland. Everything was cold when we got it, pizza is very thin and their recommended pick up time was over stated. I heated up everything in air fryer and that was perfect. The pizza is so thin reheat was only like 1 minute. I am giving 3 stars because the pizza is VERY SMALL! I spent over $40 and everyone in my family is still hungry. Their standard pizza will only feed one person. I cannot imagine what size their personal pizza is. Again, 5 star on taste but for that price it's a bit ridiculous that one pizza can't feed two kids. The entire pizza is only about the size of a 10" dinner plate.
google avatar

Suzy M.

Yelp
This. Pizzeria Carina. This guy knows his dough. Between the pizza crust and his sandwich rolls, it's pure heaven. Fun fact: I don't eat meat, but I practically devoured his Roadrunner Sammy, named for Anthony Bourdain. Lightly fried mortadella and arugula marry to make luscious and sexy perfection. So. Damn. Good. Roman style pizza and BYOB. What more can you ask for? In a non pretentious atmosphere. Tell Eugene Plyako Suzy Sent you!

Alexis W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and the owner is so kind. The pizzas were unbelievable, but don't sleep on the amazing sandwiches and tiramisu either!
google avatar

L D.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious and you must get the cheese curds. The owner was a little stand offish, he wasn't very polite or should I say he picked and chooses who he was friendly to. That aside, it's not really a place to eat at, there are maybe 4 small tables, it's mostly take out. The food came out quickly after ordering. Definitely will order again, but as takeout.
google avatar

Shaky B.

Yelp
Just a wonderful experience yesterday. The pizza was thin and crispy and the Roadrunner sandwich was amazing. The two gentlemen working there were so nice and the service was friendly and quick. It did not appear to be much of a "sit down" place, but I could see myself going in there for a quick bite in my own. I love it when a plan comes together.
google avatar

Arko K.

Yelp
We like this little small pizzeria place owned by Eugene. They prepare everything from the scratch. Their pizzas and meatballs are amazing. They do DoorDash too.. It is located in Preston center. The owner, Eugene is super passionate about his cooking and pizzas . Everything taste really great when it comes from heart... Thank you Eugune. You made this place special and desirable until next time

Yelp
Delicious pizza ,,, alot of variety of toppings awesome crust,,, super friendly Service definitely will be back

Heather F.

Yelp
I would be weary of 1-star reviews that demonstrate a lack of patience and understanding. I have been to Carina many times. The obvious piece of the pie is that the food is delicious and unique, but it's also important to note this is someone's craft, made with commitment, creativity, and quality ingredients. I keep finding myself on Berkshire Lane because I love the pizza and I value the connection of supporting a small, local business.

Luke S.

Yelp
Dave Portnoy would be lucky to try this place. Great service as well and you can really tell the owner cares about his art.

Kalleen K.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in Dallas hands down! 5 plus stars. The meatballs are also terrific in pesto! Wow ! Wow! We will be back a lot
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
This place may be new but you'd think its been around for years based on the quality of the menu. Everything is delicious from the white bean dip served with freshly baked sourdough boule, chickpea fries and dip (divine!), sandwiches and pizzas! Absolutely everything is freshly made to order. The owner is a sweetheart and very appreciative of his patrons. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. There's not a lot of seating so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table or you can place your order to go. Just GO! You'll be glad you did! Tell them Cathy sent you.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza (oh that crust!) and apps. We had the Margherita pizza and the Bella with anchovies added. Both were yummy. We also had the white bean dip and chickpea fries as apps. Both delicious and great healthy options. Service is very friendly too!
google avatar

leora l.

Yelp
Love this pizza!!! Owner makes everything from scratch and you can tell. Finally a place in Dallas where we can get great pizza. Don't forget the amazing cheese boats!!!

Michael Z.

Yelp
The best thin crust pizza you will ever have outside of Naples Italy and maybe there also The owner is a proud craftsman with a very sophisticated palate I don't think Dallas deserves him but lucky for them he's there

Sandra G.

Yelp
Just ordered from here and it's the most disgusting pizza I've ever experienced in my lifetime. The garlic is not even fresh. I can tell it's out of the jar.

Aryan S.

Yelp
This is the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. The crust is thinner than a piece of paper, half the pizza is charred, there is no cheese, and overall just tastes bad. This was not worth a single penny. If youre looking for a classic pizza, this is not the place to eat.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
The owner knows his dough. Quite possibly the best Pizza Dallas has to offer. Scratch everything foodie style. True Roman Pizza to die for!
google avatar

Sophie K.

Yelp
This place is a total winner!! Delicious pizza with thin, crispy crust. They gave us their house made chickpea fries on the house--very generous and so yummy!! Friendly staff, nice ambiance, and all around great experience! Definitely will be returning!

Kevin F.

Yelp
We yelped this place and for some reason it was ranked #2 in our area, but had better reviews than the #1 spot? Pizza was really good. Thin crust is our favorite and this is in crust. Well cooked. Great flavor. We got the pepperoni, Margherita, and The Carina (crushed pistachios, honey, white pizza). All pizzas were wonderful and well liked by the whole family. Owner came and talked to us and was super friendly and kind. Talked us into a homemade cake which was crazy good. Highly recommend.

Larry W.

Yelp
Great find in Preston Center. Amazing thin crust pizzas - great variety and high quality ingredients. The owner is a baker and the pizza dough is incredible. Very friendly place, spent some time chatting with the owner who clearly loves what he does. Highly recommend the meatballs and chick pea fries as starters. For pizza, the Monica and Jesse P were great. Planned on leftovers but we finished both.

Hunter B.

Yelp
Delicious new Roman style pizza spot! Thin & crispy sourdough crust. You can tell that the ingredients are all very high quality. I've never seen anything like the Mortazza. Worth the stop in!

Eloy G.

Yelp
Took over an hour to get my pizza and it was cold..driver left my pizza at damn leasing office to make it worse
