Plant Power Fast Food is a pretty neat alternative to the usual run of the mill fast food. Just pulling into the parking lot, Plant Power Fast Food holds its own next to McDonalds next door. Huge neon lights and large windows, it's hard to ignore. Upon walking in, the interior is very clean and spacious. The cashiers were very helpful and welcoming. We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so for a party of 2, we ordered a lot. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and drink, 5 piece chicken tenders, iconic fries, southwest avocado wrap, and cookie butter shake. Disclaimer: while I love many vegan foods, I am personally not a fan of fake meat. I prefer real meat or real alternatives to meat. So just keep in mind that bias if you're going to read on.
bacon cheeseburger - husband said it was too bland for him. I was not a fan of the patty. I'd prefer a good quinoa or black bean patty or even a good portobello mushroom instead of the fake meat patties. The bun was okay. I like that they were generous with their lettuce and tomato.
fries / iconic fries - One of my favorites of the meal. The fries themselves are very much like In N Out fries. The iconic fries tasted just like In N Out's animal style fries! And they're vegan! They tasted just as good but not as heavy. I'd come back for these again.
drink - The combo meal came with a drink. They have really good soda selections. I forgot to snap a picture, but there were all sorts of fruity concoctions, and you can even mix and match if you're so daring.
chicken tenders - Polarizing opinions here. This was my husband's favorite entree of the night, and this was my least favorite of the night. Husband liked how flavorful the chicken was, and he compared it to Burger King's chicken. I was not a fan at all, but again, I don't care for fake meat. However, I have had good fake chicken before, and this would be my least favorite on that list. We both would agree that the texture was off putting; it was akin to mushy tofu. I really wanted to like this, but I also really couldn't. They do have some good sauces that come with. For 5 tenders, you get to choose 2 sauces. We chose the chipotle and honey mustard.
Southwest avocado wrap - The flavor for this was pretty good, but ooh, it was spicy. It was actually too spicy for me. I wish there was more filling. The wrap was very floppy. Not enough avocado.
cookie butter shake - This was my favorite of the night. The shake alone was the saving grace for the night and will be the only reason why I'd definitely come back. This tasted so good, and I couldn't tell it was dairy free. I would come back again and again to try other shakes or just get this one again.
To wrap it up, would I make a special trip to Plant Power if I were far away (like say Henderson)? No, I would not. If I were in the area, would I drop by? Yes, I would. Specifically if I had a craving for the iconic fries or shake or even to try a new dessert item. Would I order an actual entree/meal here again? No, I wouldn't. Overall I'm glad I got to try Plant Power Fast Food.
